Dear Sir,

I purchased Tata Photon+ on 31st March 2011 from Patna (Tata Indicom True Value Shopee Kankarbagh) in Rs 1700.
I was given Huawei modem with photon number [protected]. At the time of purchase it was told that the connection will be activated in an hour or so.
When the connection didn't get activated after a day I was given another photon number [protected]. The new number also didn't get activated.
My experience of Tata Photon started with running after the true value shop "thrice a day" for 4 days as the contact number[protected] always come busy.
Everytime I went to the shop I was told that the device will be activated in an hour but it never happened.

At the time of purchase I clarified from the selling staff that I am going to use the device in Rajkot, Gujrat. The sales staff told me that I'll face no problem and the services are there in Rajkot. The reason of taking connection from patna was because I am permanent resident of patna and went to rajkot for project work.
I took Photon Plus unlimited plan (Postpaid) so that I can access the internet at high speed which is needed for my project.

I was expected to leave for Rajkot on 4th April morning. When I asked them to return my money as the device didn't work and I couldn't wait further, I was told to return the Huawei modem and Olive VME101 modem with a new photon number [protected] was given to me on 3rd April'11, at 8:00PM it finally got activated.

When I reached Rajkot I was shocked to see the speed of 10-15 Kbps against promised speed of 3.1 Mbps. When I registered a complain (reference number[protected], I was told by the customer care that Photon+ service is not supported in Rajkot and I'll continue getting the same slow speed.
I felt complete cheated by the sales staffs as at the time of buying the product I clearly mentioned that I need to use the device in Rajkot. Had I been knowing this I would not have taken the connection.

After some time I started getting problem with the modem device. Many times when I click on connect button I get "Modem device not found". I registered a complain (reference number[protected]. I was told by the customer care(technical divison) that the Olive modem driver has compatibility issues with Windows 7 (64 bit).
They told everytime I face the problem I need to uninstall the composite device in device manager and reinstall the driver. It worked for few days but after that doing this failed to connect the device. When I complained (reference number[protected], after a lot of troubleshooting steps I was told to reinstall the operating system.

Formatting the OS solved the problem for some time but again the same problem started.
When I went to patna I contacted the true value shop. Although the Photon Dailer test is indicating "Driver Not OK" the staffs refused to replace the device.

It takes 20-30 mins on phone to register a complain or to know the status of the complain.
Till date no proper resolution provided for complain number[protected],[protected],[protected].

It is frustrating to continue in this way for such a crawling internet speed. It is sad that they don't value time and money of customers.

I no longer want to have relation with this company.

"Device Cost as 100% Guaranteed CashBack" is all fake.

Connect — no service/wrong information provided while selling the connection

I was approached by a salesman of this company about a month ago with a few plans to offer for broadband services. He told me various luring things including
1. any problem will be rectified within 4 hours
2. 1 mbps speed upto 8gb downloading
3. prompt services

however what i experienced has been completely different. after the first 3-4 days, the connection never actually worked properly. earlier the connection started having problems of droppping in between. later on for the last 4 days, the connection has been completely dead.
for the first day, nobody picked up my phone at the local office and when they did, they simply said, sir it will be rectified by 12 o clock. after that their numbers stop working.
so i decided to called customer care facility and all they say is, "sir, there is some problem with the distribution point. we cant say when it could be corrected." this has been continuing for some days now.
i say, i dont want this terrible connection, i wud rather have something slow than this stupid braodband.also i want the company to refund the money that i spent in obtaining the connection and also for the uncountable phone calls that i have been doing. and last but not the least to compensate for the tension i have had because of this problem and also for the loss that i incurred because i had to reschedule and exam in US because of this unreliable connection.
in addition, there people dont pick up their phones when called

also the promised speed has never been achieved whereas i was told that a dedicated 1 mbps speed will be achieved. the downloading speed has never gone beyond 10kbps. also it was not told when selling the connection that downloading speed will be 1/8 times the surfing speed.

    i have Tata Photon Plus Connection but i am facing so many problem like slow speed. As we heard in advertisement Tata Photon Plus promise to give speed up to 3.1 Mbps and minimum speed 0.25 Mbps.But the speed i am getting is near about 0.11 Mbps to 0.21 Mbps in day time and 0.19 Mbps to 0.30 Mbps in night..My Internet Speed is never be equal to 3.1 Mbps.there are assuring us , tata photon plus give speed upto 3.1 Mbps but they are not providing speed even half of it. i have filed complaint so many time but every thing remain same..
    my request to the authorities please take some action against it...Tata's are doing fraud first with the govt in 2G scam and now with the customer..

      I have an internet service from tata photon whiz whose no. is [protected] I had taken it in the month of April 2011 and it shows the speed 153.6 kbps but when we start the machine it gives the speed between 0.00 kbps to 12.00 kbps app. when i bought this device the costomer care center tell me that it will work better in Suni Distt. Shimla i had paid 1500/- and not got anything. Kindly think about my complain.

      What it the problem with Tata Photn Whiz ? I am staying in Ratnagiri Maharashtra. I have made the payment of Rs. 1499 on 14.08.12 & returned back the amount on 17.08.2099. Again I made payment on 22.08.12 for Rs. 1499 . Still Photon is not activated. The technology is so advanced & I am not expecting such delay from Tata companies . In you were to charge Tata Sky onlne, If your TV is on.. Recharge icon gets vanished as soon as you make online payment. That Worst IRCTC also takes payment & issue ticket. What is wwong with Tata Photon ? Why it is not geting charged immediately. That call center does not know the status of your Photon charge. This is just noncense.

        ther is no speed on varkala tata photon wiz&+ no one prefer to your friends tata net divise because no action in custemer care my divise no is[protected]
        I am sajeesh, i am using tata photon whiz since last 4months in near varkala beach trivandram.
        My Photon whiz No is -- [protected].
        when i taken that conncetion, tata indicom executive was saying that
        max. speed of tata photon whiz is 153.6Kbps.
        But that time i am getting maxi [i think so] still last 1 mounth the speed 3 to 4 Kbps.some times that not move
        Regarding it i registered three complaints so meny times
        But issue not yet resolved.
        When i registered complaints still no response.last few days my dealer give me to use another divise [[[protected]]]to chek speed [if divis complaint] the result is oooooooooooooo.then he said me that no way he can't do anythink 4 that . because ther is more than 600 customers on 1 a small area and poor covereage poor speed and cheap coustemer care also photon + custemers complaint ther

          Problem with TATA Indicom Photon Plus billing


          I am not at all satisfied with the kind of servce provided by Tata Photon+; I ever had this type of experience with any other internet connection... this is the ever worssssssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt experience.... tata photon has no signal on VIP road still we are getting double bill then our plan activated.and the worst part is that we are getting bill without using it....I want tata photon to check the problem with our bill and send me new bill through mail at [protected]@gmail.comas soon as possible and till the time my problem will be solved i will not pay it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            Beware of Tata Photon+ SMS specifically from Mobile: [protected] and [protected]

            You will be told to get free products like home theatre, reebok shoe, laptop bag, 2 months unlimited connection, USB mouse, etc...... But you will not be provided the free products. You will always hear : "No Stock" and you will never get the free assured gifts.

            If you start asking for the free gifts you will get threatening message from these executives..... I dont understand if they take dealership or they were provided employment offer from TATA PHOTON +.....


            The Free Gifts are taken back to their packets and they are selling it for a reasonable price...

            Will TATA PHOTON + take necessary action against these Guys who are damaging the brand value ?

            Customer care is not receiving the complaint and try to resolve the issue as this is not part of their service.

            So, GUYS, dont go for TATA PHOTON+ broadband connection from dealers who send SMS

            Further to add, the speed of TATA PHOTON + during day time is 10 kbps and during night time is 20 kbps.. So, you just can't check google mails or browse... Performing remote activities can't be thought of.
            Cutomer care neither recieves the complaint nor tries to resolve this as this is not part of their service.

            So, Guys, dont go beyond TATA PHOTON + broadband connection through SMS...

            To add further, the speed during day time is 10 kbps and night time speed is 20 kbps.

                My tata photon number is [protected], My Account number is[protected], My tata photon was disconnected since the credit limit was set Rs.800, but my monthly bill plan is Rs.900 + service tax. How can be the bill amount is Rs.900 + but the credit limit is just Rs.800. You have to increase the credit limit. But when I checked regarding the credit limit, your executive said they have not received verification details. The connection was activated two months back and the verification is already done, but if the documents are not received then its not my problem and this is not fine to disconnect my connection without proper intimate. Please do the need ful for a permenant solution or I might terminate the connection immediatly.

                They take not less than 20-30 mins to see the status of the complain or to generate a complain.
                Most of the time they close the complain without resolving the issue. When you call them to ask why the complain was closed without resolution they'll reply that there was some misunderstanding hence now they are registering a fresh complain.

                As it has happened several times I must say that the level of expertise of customer care staffs is very low.

                  Recharge of data is officially done by ichoose..
                  I went to ichoose link http://www.ichoose.in/etrade/ERechargeAction.do
                  There it was clearly mentioned that I will get 220 days validity for 300 recharge.
                  Later I saw that I got only 7 days validity..
                  Now their customer care executives are saying nothing can be done..Your money is gone...

                    i needed to buy a proton wifi device by tata called them up they sent their agents to our house the agent name is vijendra he collected cash from us and told us modem will be delivered within a week after that that man got lost when we got hold of him through nodal officers he committed to pay us back the money or send us the wifi device after that the nightmare begain each day promises by this fraud agent and also the nodal officers who said dont worry sir you money will be refunded till today its almost 45-50 days each day mailing to this nodal officers and always they promises that the cheque is under process we will give it to you i think they a running a syndicate to cheat people how long they can get away with it nodal officers are svings these agents and encouriging them to do more frauds tata wke up before its too late

                      I was owner of tata wiz no-[protected].due to speed problem i sent so many request but noboday has taken serious altemetely i stoped the uses of wiz and shifted the prepaid tata photon plus connection and i have cleared the march month bill of disconnected modem.After clearing the bill of march service provider again restarted my modem without my information and now telling you have two month pending bill of disconnected modem.Why company has activated my modem.Why i will pay the charges o[censored]nused modem.why service provider is not taking customer feedback and making overchrges.
                      our problem is going -ve balance it will be cleared on last few days but then speed will gone away hhhhhhhhh divise number is not nead u know y all over varkala is troble [[[[[[[[KEARALA, TRIVANDRAM]]]]]

                        i have been using a postpaid tata photon plus broadband service which promises speeds o[censored]pto 3.1Mbps.
                        despite tall promises made by the customer care executive, my internet speed continues to be very slow (~10kbps). i have lodged a number of complaints, but to no avail. the technical dept promises to resolve the issue within 48hrs but so far the problem has not been taken care of.
                        i have not been able to use the internet at all, because of pathetic speed (even the home page- google fails to load at times). i had requested the service to be terminated, but they refuse to do it unless i have cough up the bills for using the services (which i have never been able to do)

                        Tata Photon+ — Poor Broadband Internet Speed

                        I m Purchased a photon+ the Broadband Internet Connection from Tata Indicom on 12/06/2010. Plan is 3.1 mbps downloding &1.8 mbps uploading speed Rs.750 2gb downloading free . when i Purchased photon+ they told me speed of photon+ is 3.1mbps downloading & 1.8 uploading But when i use it it gives me 200 to 900 kbps downloadin & 100 to250 kbps uploading . then i call consumer care on 13/06/2010 & engg come at my plzce on 18/06/2010 and he say my photon+ is faulty and he replased my photon+ on 20/06/2010 .but there is same problem with my photone+ i told him againe but thay said this is ok we give 300 to 700 kbps only this is ok ur internet is ok . but i again told him u says 3.1 mbps downloading and 1.8 mbps uploading speed . but there is no responce tilldate ...

                          Well,
                          The customer support that Tata indicom is having, is so pathetic...it feels like they have hired people from the slums...
                          They just dont know how to talk, dont know how to respond....lines get cut when you ask them questions...
                          all this while the customer's money is going in called STD numbers out of pune....and toll free numbers....

                          same goes with the attitude of guys at the shops...absolute chaos right from morning till night withoiut 0 management of customer queries or complaints.

                          Its a disgrace to the TATA name...there is no pride left in that name

                          Hi,

                          This is bring to your notice that I am suffering from a number of problems with Customer Support. I had a post paid account (A/C[protected] which is in inactive state in postpaid. Being a corporate user ([protected]) I provided all the necessary document to change the ownership and plan for the above account to the tata photon representative. This account migration was being taken care by Excellent Communication (Mayur Vihar Phage 1), due to some unknown issues(they didn't tell me) they changed the post plan into prepaid without my intention, since when the request was being made to change it as post paid in corporate (5gb worth 650 for IBM users). Till this time my postpaid account[protected] was disconnected and the new prepaid account with same photon number [protected] and MEID A[protected]B83 activated in prepaid.

                          On 21st July, I been told that my account has been activated in postpaid with a new account id i.e[protected], but ever after that I was unable to connect to internet. I called up customer support then got to know that same MEID number exist for another account which is running in prepaid ([protected]) (the device is owned by me and i am using this prepaid number to maintain the connectivity till the time this meid number linked to my postpaid number), I asked customer support to correct the issue. But they have take forever to solve this tiny issue which can be hardly fixed in a minute.

                          I need your special attention to get this issue fixed today itself, as I have to recharged this prepaid number ([protected] ) to make the connectivity up and running. I want this MEID number to be linked with my postpaid account only[protected] rather than [protected].

                            I Ordred tata photon plus through internet, with an offer of three vouchers of 200 rs. I have got the connection but not the vouchers. Connection did not have said speed is one thing. And Whenever I am askin about vouchers they say tomorrow. I have asked the person who coming for verification to collect the same from sales team. Sales team told him, they dont know about it. today i called them up again they said, they given it yesterday. When I said NO, ask me to hold the line and disconnected the call. And whenever i am calling back, they attending the call and disconnecting.

                            THE worst costomer service....

                              circle creation , thacker industries lower parel , two days services is ok but then they disconnected our net for the reason of address proof , the again there representative was come to our office and collect the proof but from that day to today internate is not start please give us the justice for that

                                sir i am a tata photon + user . my data card went dead due to unknown reasons my number being [protected] and my account number is[protected] .
                                i complaint 4 data card in kankurgachi office of tata but my greivances were not heared as they say that cap of data card is not available with them .
                                sir in any case if the cap is missing cant they reapir the data card .

                                  respected sir/madam,
                                  i bought a tata phton plus yesterday., my photon no is [protected]... you people seem to claim a speed of 3.1 mbps.... i can understand that this is the maximum speed .... but i had expected an averege speed of about 2mbps and you people dont seem to be delivering it......
                                  i am extremely annoyed, ihad checked the download speeds at various times of the day at various servers.... and found that even the BSNL broadband services are better than yours....
                                  therefore i had lost every trace of trust from your services and want to discontinue as soon as possible..as there seems to be no fix to this problem.... even most of the posts relating to tata photon plus on this forum are regarding slow speeds.. and you people seem to be not working it out

                                    I have the connection of tata photon plus. The service of the company is very poor. I am not getting the speed which the company promised at the time of selling. I get measly 100kbps (with full tower strength) against the promise of 3Mbps.
                                    Seriously nobody replies to filed complaints also.

                                    I have been having low speed issues with my tata photon plus from the past six months. After having sent innumerable mails, and a number of phone calls to their customer care executives, I still keep on getting assured by them that my problem would be solved in a week or so. Countless number of times the technician has come to my house assuring me that the problem will be resolved in a week or 15 days at the most. I paid almost 3,600 Rs/- for the device and have a monthly post paid plan of 827 Rs/- which is not at all worth the services tata is providing. I am fed up from this behaviour of theirs. How can they claim themselves to be a good service provider when they cannot even come back with a satisfactorily reason for my low speed since the past six months?

                                    This platform is my last option. If even this does no good to me I will initiate a legal complaint against Tata Indicom in the Dehradun District Consumer Forum.

                                      I purchased tata photon plus for my wife so that she can carry on her work from home. I took a plan of 945 rupees per month as they stated it will ahve 5 GB of high speed browsing and then the speed turns low. But even before 5 GB the speed is terribly poor. They are just making fool of people. These big companies just work on the basis of governament's corrupt politicians and officers support and nothing else. Great just make a good nexus Government and Industry and eat up the nation or sell it off.

                                        I've moved to the place called Bharuch in Gujarat last month. Since the very first day i m facing the problem of poor Internet speed on my Tata Photon plus. Due to this I am unable to connect to Chat applications on most of the sites. I raised this with Customer Care cell of Tata Photon plus but they say "there can be a problem in their network over here". I asked them to file a complaint but they denied and tried to convince me that I should not register a complaint at all. As a consumer I have right to log a complaint in case i am not getting the committed services. I am spending Rs. 850 per month for the connection and still not getting the committed speed for the connection. Kindly take this up with Tata & let me know the way to approach the Consumer Forum.

                                        It has experience that tata photo+ is very very poor connectivity in bharuch kindly take necessary action other wise we no option to sut off tata to other nett provider
                                        VERY BAD CONNECTIVITY IN BHARCU EVEN TODAY IT OPENING PLEASE DO SOME THING OTHER OPTION WE HAVE TO GO WITH OTHER SRVICE PROVIDER
