hi,
i am panme,i got connection for photon plus high speed internet access in the last week of june, monthly rental of Rs 1100/- and 10GB monthly free usuage but in the 2nd week of july my connection was cut on the ground that i had not paid my bill amounting to RS 5500/- ,where as i have used only 3 GB till that time. when i went to inquire at the customer service i was told that a new rule was implemented and that in the first month the usuage is not free. this was not intimidated to me when i got my connection and now they have cut off my connection but sends the monthly bill with added monthly rentals. can i sue the company for hiding or withholding the information? please advise.

    Subject: - Inconvenience caused by Customer care department & Slow Connection Speed 0.50 Mbps

    This is to bring to your notice that I have been facing issues since I purchased Tata Photon+ A/C No:[protected] Tata Indicom No: - [protected] Modem No: - [protected]. I purchased Tata Photon+ from Tata Lobby which is located in Goregaon (W) near citi center and the representative named as Ajay gave all the instructions and he said as well as on the brochure its clearly mentioned that Download Speed o[censored]p to 3.1 Mbps and Uploading speed up to 1.8 Mbps, I tested the connection in the lobby and the speed was below 1 Mbps and the Representative Ajay said that first month I will get this much speed once I pay the first bill speed will increase, However its giving me a speed of only 0.48 Mbps Download and 0.64 Mbps Upload. For your Information when I received Tata Photon+ for the first time the onsite representative (SUNNY [protected]) didn’t not install TATA photon he said that the HDD is full and I showed him that the HDD capacity is 1 Tera byte and it has lot of space. he said he cannot do anything and he left, so I install it by myself, you guys have charged me 99 rupees for the installation.

    I am calling customer care department since 1st of September as I am not able to create a A/C on the Tata website as want to check my internet usage as it says that I am already registered, However i am not aware of it. So I called the customer care department ticket number :[protected] Rupesh Shinde and he said that he has reset the password from his end and I should receive the password within 4 hrs and he has also mentioned in the ticket about slow connection I tried to explain him that I have checked everything still he said that I’ll get a call from technical department and so I called after next day and the other agent said that he has reset the password again and I gave my email address as [protected]@gmail.com. Still issue not resolved as I didn’t received any emails regarding password reset I called today that is 4th of September 2009 thrice first time I called and the agent named as Shoaib Shaikh he was not able to communicate with me properly and also he was not sure what he was doing. He was placing my call on hold for everything, as he was not able to understand my problem I requested for a supervisor, he said that he will transfer my call to his supervisor, placed my call on hold for 45 minutes still no answer, hence I have to disconnect the call, so i called again in the main queue and unfortunately reached the same representative Shoaib Shaikh and when I asked for a supervisor he said that there are many supervisor and he has to search and again placed my call on hold for 35 minutes again I have no choice I called again reached another representative named as leena Kalaskar Ticket Number[protected] and when I asked for her supervisor named as Pravin Nandkumar to inform him about the onsite technician she said he is busy and will call back after 5 minutes and I am still waiting didn’t received any calls yet. Also to let you guys know onsite technician visited my place Ramesh Sharma and his supervisor Deepak and Sunil he checked there is problem with the photon and I have to call customer care department connection and he was here for more than 45 minutes and he checked on the website speed.net I have also attached a screen shot for the same, in 45 minutes he only performed two steps 1: - Ping www.yahoo.com 2: - Speedtest.net and he was busy talking to people over the phone. So now I am stuck onsite people who doesn’t know anything about computers tells me that I have to contact customer care department and when I call customer care department to explain them my problem they talk about onsite technician. I am not able to get any resolution

    Please take strict action on the defaulters mentioned above, I have already raised a complaint on consumer court, If not resolved further will lead to media

    till dt.nobody reply my mail and even I didn't receive any call from c.care deptt.Its not Ist time I hv also bad experience before whn I purchased this card and card is nt. working properly instead of making calls and went to outlet where I purchased this card.
    Believe me I hv not experience such a poor c.care deptt and a tatally casual approach from ur outlet staff person.e.g. I went to outlet from whr I purchased this card for given request for my monthly plan.
    Add.PRIYANKA COMMUNICATION OPP.AIRFORCE STATION, GURGAON, meet with Yogesh, cell no.[protected]. on 04/09/009 for request adopting monthly plan against my data card he told me that ur bill generate on 22/09/009, so u come on 19/09/009.I ts nt.possible for me physically reach to outlet I gv him a call and told them, he give his mail id i;e [protected]@yahoo.com, priyanka.[protected]@gmail.com
    I sent request in both mail id and request him to give me a call whn he sent my request to concern deptt.
    He never call back and whn I gave him call he said he sent the request by evening and after that didn't pick the call and revert me .
    Who is responsible if I face any problem regarding my monthly plan etc.??
    Is its ur effiency a custumer sending u a mail on 16/09/009 and ur deptt. hv no time for any kind of reply??
    Its a worthless and I go to concern authorities if I didn't receive any reply from ur end??

    Dear - I have gone thru all the concerns mentioned above and in the begining, i have been facing d same issue, like password reset issue and speed issue, but in very span of time. i talked to customer care repre of TATA Indicom very politily and in such a way so that he could understand my really issue, and really at that time. it was not beleivable for me but beleive all my issue was sorted out in the same calls time and really it was very and very pleasurable kind of thing that somebody from network resolves yr issue in such a manner, whareas the speed issue, i have been providing a docket no and promised me that their representative wil be sent on my address so that anoter un resolved issue could be sorted out very soon.

    i am happy with the service that TATA indicom provides.

    Yes, I have been facing the same issue of speed being slower than a regular dial-up. I have been using my Tata Indicom Photon+ Broadband device / connection since Nov'09, but it appears to work well only in certain areas like Bandra (where my office is). I live in the suburbs (and very much part of civilization), and have not been able to get the browsing / download speed promised by Tata Indicom. Despite my several mails they have not bothered to revert, nor am I able to speak to their Helpdesk Exec.- being put on hold all the time. So much for a group which prides itself on a "Century of Trust" and in Customer Service. I hope someone from TI is reading this and will look into customer service in a more customer friendly manner.

    hi i have a simple query that i have availed tata photon plus connection and the email id what i have mentioned tofill the intial form to obtain the connection for the same was wrong. right know i am not able to know my connection nos and other other basis details. kindly pl change my email id as shashi.[protected]@gmail.com and please fwd all intial information as you fwd to a new connection holder at start.

      I asked for a home demo on Tata photon plus.

      person who gave me the demo gave me a receit mentioning a 500 + 200 plan.
      he didn't informed me that addon plan of 200 will not be active on basic plan of 500.

      now my bill is 1510. I asked their customer care to reduce it according to what has been told to me by your sales person.

      but they say that on their records only basic plan of 500 is mentioned
      please suggest what can i do.

        To The Customer Service Manager TATA`s,

        This is in the reference with complaint number[protected] that was made on 28th aug for which i was told that a engineer will visit my place and solve my issue.

        I have two complaints to make.

        1) No body turned up although i was told that engineer will come and help me out before 9PM on 29th Aug.For the whole day I kept waiting for the engineer but no body turned up.

        2) The customer Service executive Mr. Harvinder at [protected] kept me hold for almost 5 minutes and didn`t speak.When he spoke he was rude and told me that the engineer will come on monday.
        When asked about the superior contact number I was given a fake number that you can enquire through your mechanism.

        I want to know that what customer service means to Tatas (as a company) as i believe when Great JRD Tata would have started the company he would never have thought that the team that he would develop would be so rude with the customers nor does Mr. Ratan Tata would have been knowing that the Tean under his nose is behaving like this with the customers.

        Would request you to kindly help me in getting my Photon+ used for the purpose that i have bought it.I have invested my hard earned money in it and if you people will behave in the same manner with customers for sure the company`s name would be defamed.

        One more thing, I would never use your service`s in my entire life again.But would request you to kindly improve your services and take appropriate action against the unprofessional staff`s that you have hired at your call centre.

          Dear Sir/Madam,
          This complaint is being raised as i wasn't given complete access to consume the free units according to tarrif plan HNI HSIA USB 950/- (10 GB Night & 2 GB Day) even though interim payment was made & my lines were barred almost 12 days for crossing credit limit which i never asked for & most of the information provided by customer care weren't transparent & not so convincing nor did really be o[censored]se in clarifying my doubts & there on started revealing hidden information only then, when i was running out of time & billing date neared.

          Even some of mails written to customer care remained unanswered to date. Every body seems to be playing their own game here, even the supervisors had given wrong information & most of them turned to be dumbs.

          There are many other drawbacks with their services too that needs to be brought to light for customer awareness else many more would suffer the same consequence i undergone.

          I look for a compensation for the loss & seek your advise for further proceedings.

          Kindly help.

            I have taken photon internet connecton from TATA and thats my biggest mistake than I beleive on compnay like TATA which dnt understand customer care. I want to tell all of you by this forum pls dnt buy any TATA product.

            I have taken this on May 31st, 2009, afetr that i have to do rigorous followups for installation. afetr that I have been advised that its a unlimited download plan but its clearly shown that it is up to 10 gb only.

            I go by plan only and didnt do download more than 10 gb, but still thay charged me over usage I asked so many times abt charges and every time they told me that my usage is more than 10 gb...when I gave tham the prrof for my downloads they have stop reverting on my mail and after a repeated folloups they have not given a satisfactory reply..

            Hi,

            I completely agree about the alleged UNLIMITED plan that they offer. Why isn't 10gb cap being conveyed to the customers clearly. Why should someone opt for the unlimited plan when there a limit set? nor is it a fair limit. 10gb gets consumed within no time.

            Why hasn't consumer forum taken any action against this false promotion method yet? Or is it something that I am not aware about.

            I have taken Tata Photon + but it is useless .Most of the time it is giving error message . I contacted to our delar he told me to recharge the device .Then I recharged my device and told him to check it is working or not . He told me you have to check yor Desktop only . I came to home and checked the device it is giving the same error message. Don't buy anybody the Tata photon + product .It is completly useless and wastage of money.

              Sir/Madam,
              This is to bring into your notice the harrasment that i have been facing from TATA Indicom broadband services for the last one week. I bought a TATA Photon Plus Broadband connection, through the Customer Care helpline number [protected]. A guy named Ramandeep(Mob No - [protected]) delivered the device on 11th August, promising that the Internet Connection will be activated the same day. But its today18th of August, and still i am waiting for the Internet Connection to get activated. I have been trying to call and get help from every possible Tata Indicom numbers i can get hold of, but all in vain. Even a woman named Sonia, mis-behaved with me during this entire process. I have paid the full amout required for the device, but it seems all in vain. Feeling completely helpless, i finally chose this option of registering a complain here, with a lot of hope that it will be catered.
              The details of my Photon Plus is as below:

              I AM USING TATA PHOTON, VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE
              FULL NETWORK BUT ZERO CONNECTIVITY AFTER 5 MINUTES
              I am from A'bad and I took connection of tata photon on 6th July'10 and selected 10GB plan and started using the net. but on 20th July'10 i received call from Tata for my unbilled usage of Rs.4000/- then i walked in to tata store 4 times and i met Ms. Pooja, Mr. Parag and two more guys but still they are not able to resolve my issue and alternate days i am getting call on my unbilled amount. This the worst service which i have experienced from any service provider. The experience was same as India Gvot. office.

              Tata Photon — Tata Photon broadband device not activated even after the full payment

              Hi,

              I have purchased a USB tata photon and its almost 2 month service is not yet activated. I call the representatives daily, Raised 5 complaints but not yet able to use the service.
              I am Narendra Kumar, a victim in the same manner, on 21-april, I had paid the amount of Rs1800/- through online, I was promised activation within 1 hour, but to my unfortunate it is still not activated.
              I am trying to reach on the number [protected]; this is a totally fraud number, they find out the number who is dialing and they dont respond to you at atll.
              This is the number from which I got a call soliticing to take the connection, but after you take the connection, nobody will bother to call you back

              in anticipation that some of the tata employees would look into this matter.

                I have faced lot of problem. The dealer sent the representative to my place based on my request to tata photon customer care. After I bought the photon, he said witn in 12 hoours it will get activated.
                I keep on chasing them till date no one has reponded. First they said that it wil get activated in couple of days, later on they said that there some problem in application and later on they said that they will refund the money. One good thing which I did was I have placed check on hold and asked them to collect there device, but the amount of dis satisafaction from Tata is lot. and never want to be a Tata Indicom user.

                Tata Photon — Device not activated

                I too faced the same problem. The dealer sent the representative to my place based on my request to tata photon customer care. After I bought the photon, he gave me a number to call for activation. But since that day I am trying nobody picks up the phone.

                To make it worse its extremely hard to get to Tata photon cutomer care. They are always busy.

                same experience on my end with tata photon they harrassed me for almost 2 months ...
                I had photon+ connection on 13.7.2009. In the beginning it was working very fast. But all of sudden it stopped working since 10.8.2009. I tried customer care (No.[protected]) but fail to contact them. In view of this may I request to look into the matter personally or cancell my connection. Thanks,

                I have recently purchased a tata photon+ usb card and having hell of a time to get it activated. No one from the company has contacted me and all their customer service numbers leads to some other dept other then the ight one. I have made more than 100 calls but of no use. Tata indicom is a sick company. My advise to readers is to not to be fooled by these crooks
                Just like all of you, I had a lot of problem in the begining.

                Then I sent email to all the big officials of Tata Telecommunications including the owner/President Ratan Tata and various ministries and regulatory organizations.

                Since then I got everything working in good condition/speed. On my suggestion they even established a 1-800 toll free number to Photon+ customers who are not using the tata cell phone. Now you can suspend your HSIA upto four months without any charge if you are going out of the country. You can get full customer service at[protected] but only during office hours. I am planning on getting them to have this number available 24/7.

                When I was not getting proper signal all the time they even installed a special booster antena on the roof of the building I lived in.

                You have to deal with them very strictly and claim your rights as a customer.

                Write to all the big bosses of Tata in detail about your bad experiences and your frustration and they will be on their feet to provide satisfactory services.

                There is no point in fretting and fusing in your home/office take some solid action.

                Photon+ — Not activated

                They come, give their sales talk, take the money and go away. And then, we have to chase them and no action. Their boss gives his phone number "Any time give me a call if you have any problem" and then he doesn't answer the phone.

                How can this go on, cheating and harassing customers? Will this ever end. Its not just Reliance or Tata - they are all the same.

                Shame of them for saying they are Indian!
                I have also got the photon hardware but the same is not activated. It has been three weeks and no activation. Some person did come to verify our address and other details, but the activation is still not done.
                GOD only knows when the same shall be activated. Tried calling but in vain!!

                  I subscribed for Tata Photon+ Wifi Broadband service in May. They charged me about Rs. 4000 for the USB modem and agreed to give me 2 months "Unlimited Usage" service for free. However, at the end of 2 months they charged me for usage insinuating that I had exceeded their "Unlimited Usage". According to them "Unlimited Usage" is limited to 10GB. I checked my usage meter, provided by them, and found that I had not exceeded 10GB. However, they insist that the meter at their end shows exceeded usage. I have the option of discontinuing their service. But, I am stuck with their Rs. 4000 USB modem which they are refusing to take back. The whole thing smacks of a scam to cheat customers of their hard earned money.

                    i bought a USB modem (SXE 1280 #EUSD317348) on 24th june 2009 from KAIN Telecommunication ( TATA Tele services limited )Address A-15 Kailash Colony, GK Part-1, New Delhi -110048 for Rs.2669/-
                    This modem worked only for two days. then stopped working.
                    I have contacted the above mentioned party 15 times but there is no positive response from them, even they don, t pick up my call.
                    I have lost hope that they can do anything regarding this matter
