I had booked sale of tc of value us$2000 vide transation ref. Fx00052968.

I later received a call from the branch selected (Hiranandani estate thane - from the dropdown provided by the system and not keyed in by me) to inform that they do not deal in tc and i had to go to another branch in teen haath naka thane for the same. What is the point of having multiple branches when there is no convenience to the customer?

When i went to the branch in teen haath naka, thane i was informed that the exchange rate was not the one provided by the system but someting much less. Rate provided for usd/inr by the system was 67.1 while the quote at the branch was 63. Why does the system not reflect the correct rate for each type of currency? I do understand business and forex spread and all that but a difference of rs.4/- which translates to a loss to me of rs.8000/- is not acceptable, which again does not include the transaction fee for each check leaf. The tc are supposed to be a safe way to carry forex but it seems at a huge carrying cost. The customer ends up paying for purchase, usage and sale of the tc.

    I have booked travel to singapore via thomas cook, after initial payment i have not received any proper service and i have raised multiple complaints to their top management and i had no clear answer, from flight booking timing, travel etc they have not given information in right time even after continuous follow up. I paid 1.7lak for trip but apart from which i have paid another 25k while travel.
    They have not provided clear information after many follow up.

    I booked for customized tour but it was almost a group tour where i need to wait for other member to come and with no leisure time. They had multiple call with me but with no solution.

    I paid for all expense like cab too, but on 1st day they drop me in some place and asked to take own transport around 10:30 pm it was so difficult to reach hotel with kid, also on itinerary its worst planning

      Very unhappy with the kind of service and support by thomas cook team.

      1. Ms. Richa parekh who is supposed to be on support throughout our tour is not answering my call since 6days!!! That's from a day before our journey till our last day!! This is ridiculous.

      2. We are a couple with 2 kids aged 6 and 4 years. I had requested for extra bed in each hotel rooms. But bookings in manu allaya, manali and the suryaa, delhi were not done with extra bed. I had to pay extra money.

      3.in manali for sight seeing we had to take another cab service due to permit issues for madi (Near rohtang pass) which costed rs. 7000. We were not informed about this before our journey.

      4. We traveled directly from manali (Started at 6a. M.) to delhi (Reached at 9p. M.) which took 15 hours. This was known to travel team too but late check in was not informed to concerned person in the surya hotel at delhi.

      5. No dinner was included in booking in surya hotel.

      6. We have our flight back to bangalore at 8.15pm but i have to check out from the surya hotel at 12 noon. Where should i stay for min of 6hours with kids!!??

      7. I have been trying to contact ms. Parekh continuously to discuss on all these issues i'm facing but in vain. I spoke to mr. Abhishek from thomas cook but he too is unable to help us out. I have not received any call back from either of two..

        I am haripriya from hyderabad. We went to asian wonders trip through thomas cook on 24th april 2018. We arrived on the same day at singapore airport (Changi airport) through malaysia airlines from hyderabad. We lost our baggage on arrival. We dint get our baggage at the baggage area. We dint find anywhere and we gave complaint at the singapore airport...

          Myself hemant kumar deo booked above package on 04.02.2018 for tour commencing on 19.05.2018.
          I have paid full dues of inr 59, 551 and remitted usd 1380 to nostro account of thomas ccok. I have received acknowledgement for full payment.
          However, off late thomas cook has raised false demand of rs.2747/- and repeatedly harassing by mail and telephonic call for payment of the same.

          No explanation is given for this demand of additional amount and only answer that it is system generated amount.
          No visa, air tickets and itinerary are shared till date.

            I have just (Yesterday) come back from a packaged holiday that i had bought from thomas cook, pune. It was the worst experience i have ever had with any travel company. This was least expected from a brand like thomas cook. We (3 families) booked a 6n/7d package tour to uttarakhand, covering mussoorie, nanital and jim corbett. Trouble started from the booking process itself but i will skip that for now and jump straight to day 1 of our tour. Day 1, when we were told that a couple of representatives will meet us at the delhi airport. Instead, the driver of our tt bus received us. We expected at least a tour manager who would meet and brie[censored]s on the plan for next 7 days. To start with the driver didnt know much about the exact hotel locations and it was left to us to guide him using our google navigation. At each destination, it was left to us to plan and guide the driver on the local sight seeing. We had the shock of our life when we reached corbett. The hotel (Sterling corbett) itself was 25 kms away from corbett which added a lot of travel time and left us with limited time for local activities. The driver was also relucatant to ferry us to and from the resort on day 2. We somehow managed to convince him. Then came the bigger shock. Prior to the tour nilesh (Pune office) had told us several times that the jungle safari need not be booked in advance and that the hotel customer service will arrange the needful for us. When we reached the sterling corbett hotel, the manager on duty (Late evening) was quite rude and uninterested in even hearing our queries about the jungle safari. He simple refused to help us or tell us about any alternate arrangements. Again, it was left to us to look for ways around this mess created by thomas cook. We kept calling nilesh since morning (Next day), he was barely reachable. We didnt get any sort of assistance from him or thomas cook. It was shameful that our corbett visit was going to be a disaster without chances of the jungle safari. Again, we struggled on our own almost entire day to get around the mess created by thomas cook. Do you epxpect your customers to visit corbett without experiencing the jungle safari? That is what everybody visits corbett for. Not a single time did we get any proactive help from your team while our families suffered in the searing heat and dust just waiting painfully for the jungle safari to be arranged. Our ordeal did not end here. Our visit to nainital had the same issues, no guidance, no tour manager and a reluctant driver. Worst part was that we were not told that the tour buses are not allowed inside nainital, the hotel was again 8 kms away from the town and we had to again struggle to arrange the sight seeing within nainital. Isnt thomas cook supposed to arrange it all for us? We had to shell out extra money, effort and time every where to arrange for our local sight seeing. Is this what we get after shelling out more than 1 lakh of our hard earned money on this tour which was a big nightmare for us? All thomas cook did was to book our flight tickets, bus and hotels. Nothing apart from that. Not even a tiny bit. Even we could have done what you did. We come to you and pay extra bucks to get that extra comfort and avoid any hassles. But what we got was exactly the opposite. This is a really pathetic and non existing customer service.in fact your company is duping unsuspecting customers like us. This clearly amounts to fraud. We were 3 families: kedar potdar, narayan swami and milind dere, and all o[censored]s are highly disappointed and frustrated due to this fraud conducted by your company in the name of package tours. If appropriate action is not taken then, we will not hesitate to make a storm on social media exposing your malpractices and non existent customer service. We will also consider taking the legal route if required. You have surely lost 3 of your customers. Expecting your prompt response and action.

              On line forex booked by me on 5th may. The commitment was that i can collect forex from kormangala branch, bangalore at 4 30 pm on 5th may. This commitment was given by bhanuprakash ([protected]. I paid 1.22 lakh on line. Went to kormangala branch at 4 30 pm to collect the same.

              Branch manager informed that forex is not available. No commitment can be given as how this issue will be resolved. There was no interest shown in getting the issue resolved. The action was that she gave numbers of two other officers to get the issue resolved myself. One did not bother to call back.

              Bhanuprakash, his supervisor did not bother to call back and give any solution. Atleast 20 calls were made by me. Once the call was kept on hold for more than 10 min for his supervisor to come on call. Call ended without talking to his supervisor. Unethical, unprofessional and road side company type behavior it was.

              At branch, when i asked about ethics and compliance officer name and contact, she informed that there is no such contact. Same is the case with toll free number - no one will give escalation path or ethics and compliance officers contact details.

              I had paid more amount as compared to market (81.2 as against 80.85 of market rate for euro) considering that thomas cook must be reputed company and will honor commitments.

              I asked bhanuprakash that i need lower denomination currency. He responded that he has checked with the branch and they informed that he checked with branch and lower denomination will be given subject to availability at the branch else it will be higher denomination.

                Due to flight cancellation by go air have to shift 5 days holiday by one day. But thomas cook was not able to cooperate. Have to call them around 20 times with 3 mail escalations ti shift my holiday by one day. Even after that didn’t got the same hotel. Very disappointing, no details of cab given have to wait outside airport for 1hr. Haven’t informed the tours and travels details

                  On a recent trip to South Africa as a part of the Havells group tour which was booked with Thomas cook, my luggage was damaged by in the South African city bus which was arranged by the Thomas cook team while going from the Airport to the Hotel. The damage probably resulted from the luggage being put alongside one of the radiating parts of the bus because the bag and the stuff inside had burnt/ melted which included clothes, some papers and routine travel equipment ( pictures attached). Kindly look into the matter.

                    My son and i traveled to mauritius through thomas cook 7d6n simply mauritius package starting from chennai on 31march2018
                    = thomas cook did not send travel insurance (Now it is not required)
                    = thomas cook by mistake canceled our return ticket and we had to beg air austria for 2 hours, who fortunately took pity on us and allowed us to travel on the same (Canceled) ticket. There is not a single communication of regret for the messup
                    = thomas cook has not sent their invoice yet
                    Really sad and unfortunate

                      I have booked the captioned package for 3 Pax with booking amount of Rs.45000/-. I wish to make balance payment of INR 14614 and USD 1380. But it is informed that I have to pay 3 % additional amount if I remit USD 1380 to Nostro A/c of Thomascook or I will have to pay INR @ Rs.67.50 per USD against prevailing exchange rate of Rs.65.30/USD and I cannot pay USD currency.

                        We had booked an uk europe tour with the company from 15th april to 29 april.. We have a close family staying in uk and thier was an function which we had to attend plus had to travel with our family to scotland and wales, which is why we wanted a small deviation in the tour that is instead of going on 15th with the entire group, we wanted to go on the 11th which was communicated to them on the day 1 before we booked the package also. On 25th january it was confirmed that the flight tickets to london has been booked for 11 april for which we had paid the company 25000 extra amount. Then there was an communication from thier end regarding the visa process, and it was clearly told to the visa spoc about the deviation. There was an covering letter also given to the company which stated the date of travel as 11 april 2018, still the company filed our visa date as 14th april 2018. We had the visa appointment on 9th february.. And the company handed over the documents and we went for the visa. We received the visa on 22 february. As we had complete trust in the company we did not notice the visa dates. It came to our notice only on 31st march, and when we informed the company, they blamed it on us that we did not see the dates. And now they are asking us to pay for the new visa cost or bear the deviation money cost.

                          My Travel details is 29th March but i haven't received any details from Thomas Cook Side in terms of my flights details, hotel booking details. Calling customer care from past 3 days but no getting any response from their side. Every time executive is saying that you will get details by today 7 pm by tomorrow 11am. But nothing is as per commitment.

                          Really feeling sad, don't know whether there is any booking or not as they can denied at last movement.

                          Won't refer Thomas Cook to any of my friend or relative.

                              I booked tour package with thomascook.in, before making a payment information was given about tour by agent name mr. Vijay thakur and now rs 51598 payment is done & the information is different that it is group tour, flight details are different, no one is answering phone calls, when talk to them no solution is given, every time they arrange a call back with no solution.

                                I took thomas cook forex card from jaipur mi road branch. I reload that card with 148 australian dollars. At the time of conversation with your agent he told me that my swipe with this card will be unlimited and first 3 withdraw will be free. But when i swiped the card for the first time my extra 5 aud dollars was got deducted and then i withdraw for the first time at that time they guys deduct 3 dollars extra

                                  A total of 8 pax have traveled to singapore and malaysia in dec 2017. I was overcharged for visa to these countries, while asking for payment i was told the excess charges will be returned, but no response have been given by thomas cool in spite of my mails.
                                  I have checked up from singapore visa consulate and malaysia visa consulate in delhi and based on that information the visa charges of our family comes to following:

                                  Singapore visa charges are s$ 30 + rs 300 service fees = rs 1750 (Approx keeping sgd to inr rate of rs 48 in nov/dec 17)
                                  Malaysia evisa (Multiple entry) charges rs 3000 all inclusive (As per the statement of visa consulate in chanakyapuri ph[protected]

                                  Singapore visa for 8 pax = 1750 x 8 = rs 14000/-
                                  Malaysia visa for 8 pax = 3000 x 8 = rs 24000/-

                                  Total visa cost for 8 pax = 14000 + 24000 = rs 38000/-

                                  Thomas cook has charged us rs 59990/- for these visas which implies that rs 21990/- has been charged extra. Assuming that i may have left out some service charges of thomas cook, but these charges still cannot be amounting to rs 21000 plus.
                                  In case my calculations are wrong then they should send me the correct calculations which i have been asking for via mail.
                                  I have enjoyed the holiday but i also feel cheated here that i have been over charged by thomas cook. Please refund the money excess charged.

                                    thomas cook borderless prepaid card

                                    I am writing this to let you know customer experience with boarderless prepaid card is not satisfactory. Here are the problems that i am facing due to thomas cook boarderless prepaid card.
                                    1. Though the customer care number is provided, it is not really useful as most of the times nobody attends the call or the attendee does not respond to solve the problem
                                    2. My old card was replaced with new card and shipped...

                                    Very worst service - this is my second card i have with thomas cook and i dunno why my company still promoting this. It’s been very bad experience for all o[censored]s with this thomas cook card.
                                    Have a travel card and i have done a transaction of 1489$ on dec8th and returned the product on dec9th and just imagine this is like almost 60 days and still i haven’t got the refund.
                                    I’m in us and i call them every day almost from last 30 days i don’t get any response - they don’t have customer care number in us which customers can contact. And they don’t pick calls and doesn’t respond properly even if they pick - i dunno how irregular they can be. I asked their supervisors many times about what’s happening with my refund and still i don’t see a proper response from them. I don’t know how thomas cook doesn’t want their customers to be happy.
                                    They never responded properly and every time i have to call thomas cook india customer care and still they say we support only 24/5 from 10 to 7. We just want some guys to work on this. I hope this makes some sense to the guys whoever if they read or monitor this page and a warning note for the customers.
                                    Adding important thing that is promised by thomascook :
                                    You get a refund after 60 days irrespective of the issue.
                                    Today is 61st day and i haven’t got my money yet. 1500$ is nothing to thomas cook.
                                    Thomas cook doesn’t bother abt what happened to the customer raised dispute with them for 60 days irrespective of issue - this one being at thomas cook end.
                                    I seriously need a reply from you guys.

                                      When i was in search to book the package there was an offer book now and get a free holyday for 3 days and 2 nights and same has been confirmed by the thomas cook person before booking. He cleared me that after your vocations the package will be delivered to your email, but today 3rd month is on but there is no such mail, i tried to contact back but no body attends the call.

                                      It was also mentioned on the site cover page, book now and avail the offer of two nights and 3 days
                                      Hi Gaurav, try writing back with the G file number alphabetically as it is not visible (protected) . May be then the team would respond on getting the same.
