Sir/Madam,

I have been charged for Value Added Services which were activated without my permission for number [protected]
VDS ULTRAMOVIES Rs 5
Video Dictionary Service Rs 35. and renewal etc.,
We get a message to reply with STOP to deactivate. But the SMS does not work and we are asked to reach out to customer support.

I have asked the customer support for the reason but am not convinced why such unauthorized charges are being made by third parties and charged to vodafone bill without vodafone or its customer consent.
if vodafone is already aware of such sites then they should publish the list upfront.

Please request you to look into the matter and
1) Refund the amount charged so far and
2) Correct the process of SMS to deactivate the service. What is the point if the service is not activated even after sending the SMS of STOP
3) Display the list of such sites where unauthorized billing is added.

Any update so far. I was charged a total of 143 rupees additionally as part of the bill. Can i have the refund initiated please.

    On 17/01/2017 i received a SMS that Mazaa Mobile pack was activated on my number [protected]. I had not opted for such pack. Without my consent how you are activating such pack. and charging me Rs 99/-. I am writing the e-mail before sending SMS to stop such pack. If you charge for sending SMS then i had to go to TRAI for such forceful deduction. I hope that the amount to be charged for SMS and charging of Rs.99/- will not be there.
    Vodafone India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
    On 29/01/2017 i received a SMS that Mazaa Mobile pack was activated on my number [protected]. I had not opted for such pack. Without my consent how you are activating such pack. and charging me Rs 99/-. I am writing the e-mail before sending SMS to stop such pack.

    Never knew I activated any such subscription of Vodafone. Is this a new way of taking cash?

      I have changed my sim card to Nano from Micro on 08 Jan, 2017 Sunday with the Vodafone connection [protected], from the date I'm not receiving or not able to send any text messages from my phone. I have already raised this issue several times through customer care and through the Vodafone outlets, but this issue was not answered properly or cleared.
      This is one serious offence that I'm not receiving the paid service which I'm supposed to get, also it is highly disappointing that being a customer for Vodafone for the past 6 years and to experience such a pathetic service.
      I have clearly explained everything to the executives and with the outlets many times, but I feel it was waste of time and efforts, and I'm trying all possible options to resolve this as I'm facing such a life time difficulty with this digitalised environment.
      It would be great, if you can help me with this and forward this to the concerned person.

        I have been victim of wrong billing from Vodafone for the last 2 months with absolute no response from their Nodal Officer also. I marked several reminders to the Nodal Officer seeking solution but in vain. Attached below is the mail and the wrong billing induced in my bill for a "Stopped" service :

        To Nodal Officer :

        My vodafone number is [protected] and i chose to write to you, as my relationship with Vodafone seems to be turning sour. Request you to read my mail till the end alongwith attachments.

        Since August i have been overseas due to work engagements and after some hefty bill, which i paid, due to emergency internet usage overseas, I was cautious and stopped using my number- [protected] for Internet. I am a tech savvy person and know very well how to keep my phone's mobile data service switched off at all times.

        However, I was appalled to see internet usage every time being induced in my subsequent bills, ranging from Rs.10 to Rs.40, and surprisingly the usage is for just 1 Kb each time on different days. Last month on 28th Nov, I confronted about these charges to which the agent told me that whenever I switch off and on my phone, the data is used for 1Kb. Unconvinced however, It was at this point i decided to get my data services stopped completely and pay the bill. I got the confirmation of stopped services both on mail and sms on 28th Nov'16 itself.

        My latest bill however again proves that some kind of fraud is being done by Vodafone inside its subscribers bills !

        I had a chat with the agent, Sujay, yesterday(28th Dec'16) raising my concern to which i was given a complaint number,[protected], and i was told that someone would call me on my overseas number in UK to get it resolved. I got an sms today stating that the complaint has been resolved, however, I did not receive any call. Thus i again started a chat(chat transcript attached) with your agent, Dhananjay, today and to my surprise he told me that an amount of only Rs.31.62 has been waived off.

        Out of curiosity i checked with him on my current bill plan and i was shocked to know that the data plan is still active and needs to be deactivated and further i would have to pay pro-rata rental for the upcoming bill cycle. On further detail he explained that only Data Service is stopped and Data pack is still active, weird again. Why was this not briefed by the agent earlier when the request for complete deactivation of data service was raised? Is it not moral duty of the agent to explain the customer ?

        My questions and concerns :
        When the data is switched off on phone, why the charges and specifically for only 1Kb o[censored]sage being induced on different dates ?
        Even when the data services are stopped from operator's end, how come usage charges appear in the bill ?
        Why rent is being charged for a stopped service ?
        Kindly find attached for your reference, the chat transcript i had with your agent today, last 2 months bills along-with confirmation of stopped data services, dated 28th Nov'16 and 29th Dec'16, and let me know which one is for stopping Data Service and Data Pack ? to me it appears identical !

        My request :
        Wrong charges in my last 2 bills for International Data Roaming be waived off.
        Wrong Data rental post 28th Nov'16 be waived off from the bill and should not be induced in subsequent bill, as the data services are stopped from 28th Nov'16 itself.

        Kindly help and resolve if you really care for a customer, irrespective whether he is important or ordinary !

        I hope my mail be taken in the right spirit and things be rectified so that they do not leave a bad taste and this relationship lasts for a longer period.

          This is a journey that startedway back in setember.My connection is a corporate connection under vodafone.I had requested for a port in request to airtel.From september to december all the porting request were denied by vodofone citing reasons like bill not paid, porting code expired, wrong porting code etc etc etc.Finally i understood one thing.They are not ready to relieve the number.I ended up in giving a request to change my corporate conncetion to an individual account with a 499 postpaid plan.And i had to pay my bill in advance also and they told i l get a call to another number for verification.I dint get any and 5 days which they told to change it was over.I had to call a hundred times to connect to an executive and finally the reply i got him was very interensting, i understood that the stupid who was sitting in the customer care has given request to change this to a prepaid connection and verification failed just because when they called the number was out of coverage area.This is the response i got from people who calls 100 times just to tell an offer can make a second call for verification, cheap business tricks as i had to pay again the bill in advance to apply again.Such a pathetic service by vodafone.I have never had soo much trouble in my life dealing with such a situation.Its irritating and the worst company i have come accross.Stupid company stupid customer care people. I am fed up.I want to make sure nothing like this happens to any other consumer.From sept to jan i have paid around 8000 even after planning for a network switch.Business tricks.But dont fool the common man.There are much better things we can do...

            Hi,

            I want to bring this to your attention, that i am so much frustrated by one of Vodafone agent who comes in my office for corporate connection.

            I am using my corporate connection from last 4-5 yrs, and now i took a new connection and its been more than one week however my connection has not been activated yet and that person continuous giving me fake commitment and now he is not picking my call .

            i have also made this complaint in Vodafone care on Friday however did not get any response yet.

            I hope you will look in to it and give me response on priority.

            even if i have not activated this DOTBOT SERVICE my bill will be added rs 35 extra, i want this service to be deactivated from company side... and never repeat such auto activation ever again

              What is this nonsense...I just recharged my no. With rupees 30 and my whole balance that is RS 25 got deducted on the name of some dotbot service...and I am left with just 1 rupees in my balance. I never activated this service...Kindly look into it and please give back my balance which got deducted unnecessarily...Please don't just activate any service on your own without the customers prior knowledge

                I have lost my sim with phone (nokia basic handset [protected]). my name is shiv prakash. i was lost near sector 43 noida (seems to be stolen from my pocket while boarding a local bus between botanical garden to greater noida).
                kindly consider this as a first information of lost/stolen sim+phone as i could not yet get this complaint registered at near by police station as they are asking for some processing fee around (200 to 500 Rs) and i did not have that much money that time.

                  I m the customer of vodafone last 4 years.I had recharged my vodafone no of Rs.344 yesterday which is mention in your plan that STD/LOCAL call unlimited but it is not mention that it is not applicable in roaming while our balance is deducted from my balance.Who is responsible for that.

                    I didn't subscribe dotbot service. But ₹50/- debited from my account. I want to deactivate that service and please refund my debited amount within 1 hour. Complain sending time 11:10 Am of 13 Jan 2017. My number is [protected]. Next time don't active these type of services in my number. It's not a joke of matter.                       Hello,
                      I live in Vadodara-Gujarat, and I have a postpaid Vodafone number +91 [protected], (which I use with a Vodafone Alcatel WiFi hot spot) with a 6 GB data plan active in it. The number was activated on November 2016.
                      I am facing regular deactivation issues from Vodafone though I'm paying the full bill amounts.
                      Incident 1:
                      -I was out of country for business for a week on December 2016, and my hot-spot was powered off for that time.
                      - After coming back, I get a call from a Vodafone executive in my alternate no: +91 [protected], saying that my bills will be online from now on (I've opted for both online and paper bill options).
                      -Later that day, I found the card has been deactivated without stating any reason.
                      -I contacted the local Vodafone store as well an online representative through My-Vodafone page for the above mentioned number. The issue was resolved and with a note that it'll never happen again without informing me.

                      Incident 2:
                      -A Vodafone agent called me (from No: +91 [protected]) in my alternate Vodafone Mobile +91 [protected] couple of times. He was requesting me to take another connection with some so called lucrative features because they "value me as a customer who pays the bills regularly". and shared a what's app number [protected] to send my ID & address proofs.
                      -I have decided "not" to take the new sim and informed the agent accordingly.
                      -Now when I tried to connect to my Data card +91 [protected], powering on my Hot-Spot (it again) shows the SIM has been deactivated.
                      -I tried to log into the my-Vodafone account for that number, only to find out that the account itself have been disabled this time.
                      -I called in Vodafone customer care and the representative told me that the card have been deactivated as the Documents and/or Document verification are pending (I am paying the bills for last two months), she advised me to visit a Vodafone Store.
                      - Besides It's Sunday today and All the Stores are closed.

                      I use the internet data for online courses etc., where dates are important and this kind o[censored]ninformed nuisances caused by the service provider causes me time and monitory losses.

                      I understand the Vodafone services and customer care have became terrible these days and I have very slim hopes that this complaint will be addressed and effective steps will be taken by Vodafone. (I am already in search of some alternate more reliable service provider if Vodafone is unable to provide the required service in-spite-of accepting the monthly bill amount.)

                      However, I shall really appreciate any assist from 'Consumer Complaints' that can help me to get a solution and justice from of this regular nuisance and harassment by Vodafone.

                        Hi,

                        I used is postpaid [protected] and cancel the Connection on September with full Settlement on Vodafone Store.But after month I got bills for pending amount . However I have paid all outstanding on closing time . When I checked with Customer care, they said, its closed on sep and no outstanding and Dont consider that billing mails .
                        But Dec, I got a Legal notice from Vodafone . This is very shocking .

                        This is not expected from Vodafone . Needs to resolve !

                          Today i called vodafone customer care executive from my mobile number [protected] regarding information of my recharge... but the customer care executive whom i talked to is very dumb, he don't know how to give information and talk to customer and then refused to give information about recahrge on my number... he said we can't provide information of any recharge made by you after 24 hours... and after so much conversation i cut down the phone and called again and then the another executive gave me all information i want...
                          So i want to register a complaint.

                            In ref: outstanding amount pertaining to registered mobile numbers:
                            1) +91-[protected] and 2) +91-[protected].

                            This is to bring to your kind notice that i, anudeep gupta activated international roaming for my (2 numbers used by my wife and me) trip to italy. The numbers are: +91-[protected] and +91- [protected]. I had to chose (Without being educated by the customer care executive) the basic plan (Default plan offered by vodafone) as we were not suppose to use the line until there was an emergency. As soon as we were out of india, within 24 hrs there was a message of billing of approx 4000/- and 5000/- on both the numbers. I could not believe the basis of these charges. After sometime i checked both the numbers and noticed the outgoing calls were barred.
                            Unfortunately, day before our return flight my 7 year old son got sick and was on basic medication for vomiting and diarrhea and we could not call back our home for any help. While coming back from the trip 3-4th jan, 2017, we had a serious medical condition on our flight from frankfurt to delhi, lufthansa airlines, my 7 year old son was given emergency medical treatment and we reached delhi in unimaginable panic state. As soon as we landed and tried to call medical facilities/family members, we noticed that both the

                            Numbers were still out of service (I assumed that there was some problem and phones would be working in india). Somehow i connected with vodafone customer care to enquire, they acknowledged cutting both the lines and had raised an unbelievable outstanding amount of 17000/- and 18000/- on both numbers, and on requesting them again and again because of the emergency medical condition they did not activate the service and left us stranded with my ill son in my lap.
                            I have no words to share my horrible experience, though i have been their so-called valuable customer since many years.
                            The said services are suffering form the following defects:
                            1) it is the duty of the service provider to educate the customer about the product. Example: on doing my research, i noticed that data charges per mb charged to me is 563 rupees, whereas other telecom companies are giving 1 mb at around 30 rupees, including vodafone. The customer care executive has a responsibility of educating their customers.
                            2) it is the duty of the service provider to remove obsolete plans or expensive plans as default plans. Elaboration: the international roaming data plan offered to me was a plan introduced 5 years back. As you are aware technology is continuously improving and getting cheaper and within everyone’s reach. But vodafone did not change the default
                            Plan, which is very expensive. This exhibits fraudulent/misrepresentation of facts leading to unethical business practice.
                            On account of your aforesaid fraud and misrepresentation of facts; i have suffered financial losses/physical and mental stress. Though, the amount of
                            Tress cannot be compensated with anything monetary. I have no other option other than holding you liable to compensate me and my family with rupees 10, 00, 000/- (Rupees ten lacs only).
                            You are hereby finally called upon to
                            • remove the said defects in the services/product and
                            • rectify the outstanding amount for both registered numbers (Charge 30 rs per mb) and resume services on both the
                            Numbers and
                            • pay compensation for financial loss/ injury/harassment

                                Vodafone is the cell phone provider for me and my family all through. We currently have 6 vodafone connections. When i purchased an i pad last year, naturally i procured a vodafone sim for the data. However, the 4g never worked on that number. I visited the vodafone store on 6 occasions complaining about this and everytime the solution they provided didn't work. Any of my other vodafone numbers which i used in phones for voice and data would have 4g i[censored]sed on my i pad, just the number i had procured for that very purpose did not. Finally, after paying for this number for 6 months without having any usage, i decided to discontinue this connection. What surprised me is that not only did vodafone expect me to pay the bill for december, beer 2016 but they even billed me a rental for the next billing cycle. So my outstanding on this disacontinued connection now stands at 1400 rupees. While i can pay this and move on, i think its highly unethical of this large corporation to automate my billing despite the fact that their connection never worked. I refuse to pay this bill and want a reversal.

                                  My mobile no is [protected]. Deducted rs. 35 on 14.01.17 @ 12:30 am in the name of 'dotbot' in an unauthorized way. When, i enquired customer care, they replied lethargically without any responsibility. Being a 15 year old customer of vodafone, i am frustrated on its service. I request to refund rs. 35 back to my account not deduct these type of charges from my balance.

                                  I have ported my postpaid mobile number to Vodafone company and I am misguided by Vodafone executive. So Vodafone has suspended by number since 3 jan 2017. I have submitted my documents again still my number is suspended and now Vodafone store people are not responding.

                                  Please take some action.

                                    I have requested no such service! A few days back a Glam World service was activated and value deducted from my account. This has been happening too many times.

                                      I want to inform that this is the second time my balance has been deducted by vodafone for some Love Sutra Pack subscription within one month, which I did never subscribe. I want the refund of 150 rs immediately, else I would be bound to take strict legal actions against their action. Even I heard same kind of complaints some others. I never subscribed in any such packs and if I am not reciprocated about this, I will not think twice to take actions against this. Strict actions should instantly been taken. I have faced such things even earlier. But remaining silent is an option no more..

                                        1. Go to the nearest Recharge shop which you recharge on regular basis.
                                        Ask the shop owner to make a call to Vodafone customer care and raise a complaint to stop it.

                                        2. Go to the nearest Vodafone Care Showroom in your city and complain there.
