I received very rude service from woodland outlet at dilshad garden, new delhi.

I bought a pair of woodland boots from woodland outlet at dlf mall, saket couple of weeks ago (Oct 15, 2017). At the time of purchase i was told to get a complimentary shoe polish from any woodland outlet against my registered phone number, as the polish was unavailable at that outlet then (As i understood later, points were added to my mobile, which i could utilize at any woodland out). I found the seller polite.

Later (Oct 26, 2017), i went to woodland outlet at dilshad garden, new delhi. I was wearing the boots i had purchased. I reached out to the shop counter and told them this exactly - "i purchased these shoes (Pointing to shoes i was wearing) a couple of weeks back from woodland outlet at saket mall. I was told that i can get a shoe polish against my mobile number from any woodland outlet." the guy near the counter suddenly got defensive, and made it look like i was asking for a polish for free. He refuses me outrightly, and tells me 'we do never offer any shoe polish with shoe purchase'. Asks me, 'did you have any claim on the polish? It is not possible that you're getting a shoe polish free of cost. Let me talk to the person who told you about it'. I was not carrying the contact number of previous seller, and asked them to contact themselves and verify. Instead, they gave me the contact of some third person, who supposedly 'takes care of all the sales in saket area'. I didn't know any better, didn't know how that would help, still called that number, which was never picked. I told them nobody is picking the phone, and started to leave, telling them i'd sort it out with the saket outlet. On my way out, i was asked by another guy at the counter "aapne kuch kareeda tha kya?" (Did you buy anything?, referring to my visit to the saket outlet). I found it amusing as to how much eagerly my request was received.

I later (Same day) called the saket outlet to verify what i had been told. He listened to my case (Over phone) with more attention that i got with face to face interaction at dilshad garden earlier. He told me that i had been given some points against my phone number which i could reuse at any wooland outlet.

He told me it's not possible that somebody could refuse my claim. A telephonic conference took place. I once again got to hear the voice of the person i met at dilshad garden outlet. He said that i never told him about my phone number. He said i walked in the outlet asking for free polish. I narrated the whole incident as it happened over phone. He refused that it happened. I asked him to re-confirm if that is what he was actually saying. And he effectively confirmed that i was lying. I felt there was no point arguing with someone like that.

I was later called by the saket outlet seller apologizing for the inconvenience and re-confirming that i would be able to reuse the points. The person i met at the dilshad garden store was supposedly a regional manager, mr. Anil das, as i was later told.

That i did not receive the polish is not the issue here. It would not be as costly that it can't be bought by itself (More so for someone who can afford your shoes).

But my time is very valuable to me. And how i view your company should be very valuable to you. I could have written the whole thing off as a human misunderstanding. But somehow, the whole incident left a bitter aftertaste. Please take care that the people you emply treat your customers well. I am not sure if these shoes would be the last i buy from woodland, but there is one outlet i am definitely never visiting again!

    I am eshakumar from mysore.
    Three months ago i bought a black formal shoes at mysore kuvempunagar factory outlet showroom. Article is shoe gc1166112, black, 39.
    Article has some sole pasting problem so on[protected] i visited your show room to give shoe for repair services. Firstly your showroom employees are not ready to recieve the article on that day because of some government holiday. After arguing with them they received it.
    Today after 10 days i gone to receive the shoe, its still not attended by service section. Am very much upset with the service providing to the customers.
    Moreover its within warranty period you have to give exchange article to me. If you dont provide me a good service i will move to further actions with your showroom and your company service.
    Am awaiting for your kindly response.

      I had purchased article number: ls1792115 from trivendrum, diamond hill, vellayambalam, kerala, india on 20th august 2017. Due to colour fade, pasting and lase damage issues i had submit the article to the respective showroom on 11th october 2017 (Within two months of purchase). The product is currently under warranty. After 15 days, when i called them, the manager told that product is not repairable and it has to be replaced. At the time of purchase the product was under discount. Now they are asking me to pay the additional amount for the same piece since the new piece is currently not under the discount. Within 2 months of the purchase, product have started troubling me and now the response of your respective woodland showroom is highly disappointed. I never expected this kind of response from such a prestigious brand. You are requested to see to the issue and take necessary steps immediately.

      I wanna changed ny wood land shoes bcoz i woodland shoes are so lose thats why i need the fit shoes how can changed this plz any how changed
      I would like to escalate this issue regarding woodland which I ve revived wrong product but unfortunately in return I mentioned as wrong color and courier guy has cancel the req as it wasn't matching correct req so I req customer care to reschedule it but no update from them...!

        Respected sir/ma'am

        1. Please refer repair slip no. 38 (Copy attached as jpeg image).
        2. I purchased above mentioned pair of shoes on 12 jun 2017. After only two wearing, it developed wrinkles all over its front toe. And hence, i returned the shoes for the needful at your end. However, my complaint was returned with a remark - "damaged due to wear and tear".
        3. I am a loyal customer of woodland ever since my college days i. E since 1997, almost two decades now! I remember using woodland shoes even on the barren mountains of kargil and over hard rock ice of siachen glacier (When i was posted there a decade ago), but, woodland never disappointed me. I still proudly use woodland almost ever day due to its brand quality and ruggedness!
        4. May i request you to kindly look into the matter once again please and help me retain faith in woodland. Looking forward to a favorable response.
        5. I have written to woodland thrice, they just refused to honour my honest claim. This is not expected from great brand like woodland. Please restore our faith in this brand.

        Till date the shoes are lying with the dealer where I purchased the above shoe from!

          I had purchased woodland shoe in may 2017 & with in short period observed one hole on top of right shoe. I had started mail communication to woodland & they instructed to deposit shoe in any woodland retail counter & has deposited on 10 sep at ambedakar road ghaziabad against receipt no 66. Now they are asking for money for replacement of 40%. They never informed me on mail or written communication. This is quality problem & need to replace or repair free of cost

            Hi, i bought one pair shoe on 19/8/2017 from one of the stores located at south ext. New delhi, after wearing it for a month i noticed that it's colour started fading from the front and sides, i went to the store on oct 1st and got it back today (Oct 12 th) what they did in these 12 days is polishing of shoe which is highly dissatisfying as it will be back in the same condition after few days. It's such a big brand and making such products would certainly not help. Please look into it i want it to be replaced or kindly refund my money, m not even talking about the inconvenience of visiting the store

              I purchased shoes - size-39, colour-brown, art no. - ls1946115z on 4/8/17, from a store in causeway, mumbai. The salesman said the shoes were good for trekking, but when they got wet, the leather surface changed and became rough and even came out, i went to the store and they said they couldn't help or do anything about it.
              Please provide services.

                I used it only 3d ays, last day there i find on complaint on pasting of sole, kindly replace the product, if such things happens then how can i suggest woodlands to others

                i bought a woodland sheo from chennai showroom . now the sheo got damaged the company told that it will get life time warranty sheo is only 5 month used . now the company is not willing to replace or servicing the company is like cheating us .sir i want my sheos back or want my money back.i am accepting immediat action about it.

                  I am one of the regular customer of your company. I have purchased a pair of shoes from your shop named aero club sambalpur city centre mall, sambalpur against bill no. 201721eo33c00167 dated 15.07.2017` sorry to say that, after using the shoes for one week, the stich of the left shoe at front top got broken and one can see through that part inside out. I returned for repairing to your shop. I got the repaired shoes after 3 to 4 week. I started using the shoes normally. After using it for ten days, the stich again came out at the same place. I again went to your shop on 14.09.2017, requested him humbly to replace the same with new one as it has again failed at the same place. I was assured by the shopkeeper that he will send it to the company and will get the new one from the company by claim no.6 (Six) dated 14.09.2017. I received cell call from your shop on 04.10.2017 that please collect your shoes as it has got repaired. I was shocked to hear as it has to be replaced by the new one as it has damaged two times at the same place.
                  Everbody knows about the name and fame of the company as it is a big fame company. But this service shows that how people are made fool by you. I have not taken the delivery till now from your shop. Again i want to bring in kind notice that i have spent hard earned money.
                  I request you to please contact your shop and replace the shoes as soon as possible otherwise you keep it as diwali gift from my side.

                    I have purchased woodland shoe worth rs 3995 on 12-may-2017 from aero club, brookfield, coimbatore.

                    Now it cannot be used since it makes bigger sound while walking on the floor. I called aero showroom now and no positive response from them.
                    What should i do? Do i throw it away it and bear the cost myself or can i exchange it by a good one?

                    I am a regular customer of woodland products.
                    It is highly disappointed by the aero showroom response : (

                          I purchased article no. 16826 from woodland store located in western mall, ludhiana on dated 28.09.2017. They gave me size 41 instead of 40. When i request him to size 40 then they assure me that u take this size and we replace it tomorrow with size 40 but now almost gone one week they are not replacing it and making excuses. They are using very abusing and cheap language and laughing on customer while communication. I request u plz take it seriously.

                            Sub: complaint regarding faulty shoe purchase
                            Reference: art no. Gc 0592108y15 colour: camel, 1 pair footwear, gents shoe purchased vide invoice no. R122 dated 16th september, 2017 from hooda associates, parel, mumbai, maharashtra, india.

                            Dear sir/madam,
                            This is to inform you and file a complaint regarding faulty shoe purchased by undersigned vide above referred reference details..
                            Immediately, upon purchase of above referred shoes, while wearing it, i realised that the stitching of shoe had come out from one area as shown in the picture below; 2-3 cuts were observed in the stitching.


                            I could able to return the shoe to a shop owner only on 1st of october vide their challan no. 26 as attached herewith (Mr. Anil).
                            I could not able to return the shoe during this time (Between 16th september, to 1st october) due to urgent pre-occupied office work & holidays. I did not used the shoe during this time.

                            I was told by the shop owner that the shoe will be repaired (Complete stitching would be undone & redone).
                            I am surprise to receive such a response from the shop owner as the new shoes which was not even used for a day will undergo repair.
                            As this is a genuine manufacturing defect of woodland, i would not like to use the repaired shoe for a price of new one.

                            I would request you to kindly instruct the shop owner to allow me to select the new shoe as per my choice. The differential price need not be refunded, if they are of lower value as the same could be utilised for purchase of accessories.
                            Else kindly allow me to select the new shoe as per my choice from the online portal of woodlandworldwide.com.

                            Hope you would revert on this urgently as i had already lost 15 days due to late filing of this complaint and so, i would not afford to lose any further delay in this regards.

                                This is happening across all stores of woodland located on mg road, gurgaon

                                Shoes as old as 2 yrs are being sold as fresh arrival.

                                After having a bad experience with new pair shoes that i had purchased from woodland, dt mall, mg road, gurgaon.- { (Article no 863) color black and size 44)}, i was enlightened by a friend of mine, to check the year of manufacture of the shoe before buying it.

                                Recently when i had gone to the same store of woodland to pick up another pair of new shoes (Article no 863) color black and size 44. I was shocked to find out that shoe in question was being sold as "fresh arrivals" but was actually 24 to 28 months old stock / arrival.

                                This process of duping the people of their earnings by selling old stock as "fresh arrival" is highly deplorable and needs to be stopped asap.

                                I have even checked with some of your stores in delhi and the situation is the same everywhere. This concludes that woodland is supplying old stock (Shoes manufactured 2 to 3 yrs back) as fresh arrival.

                                I am interested in buying the latest model of the same article no 863, color black and size 44.

                                Pl. Let me know where is it available in delhi, gurgaon.

                                  I have been using woodland shoes and accessories from last 15 yrs.

                                  I have faced quality issue with the woodland brand of accessories a few times but did not pay much heed on the same considering the fact that woodland is a top brand and must be ensuring all quality checks before marketing their goods.

                                  2 days back i again went to an exclusive showroom of woodland to buy a new pair of woodland shoes (Article no 863) colour black and size 44.

                                  The same model that i am currently using, the shoe was purchased by me 2 yrs back from the same showroom in dt mall, mg rd, gurgaon. The shoe had developed a snag wherein the sole of my shoe cracked within a period of 6 months o[censored]se. The sole was replaced by the woodland at their cost but you will appreciate that the process of removing the sole and replacing it caused substantial damage to my shoe.

                                  On going to the same showroom again to buy a new pair of same model i discovered that the showroom was selling the same model of shoes but the manufacturing date was june 2015. I. E 27 months old shoe was being sold as fresh arrival.

                                  This is really very disheartening that a brand like woodland also use such cheep tactics to dupe the customers of their hard earned money.

                                  I am writing to you as i am interested in buying the model of shoe specified by me but would like to buy fresh stuff and not old stuff being marketed as new/ fresh.

                                  Do revert on further course of action on stopping this malpractice of selling old shoes as fresh arrival.

                                  Also pl let me know from where can i buy the model and size as specified by me for my personal use.

                                  I have faced quality issue with the woodland brand of accessories a few times but did not pay much heed on the same considering the fact that woodland is a top brand and must be ensuring all quality checks before marketing their goods.

                                  2 days back i again went to an exclusive showroom of woodland to buy a new pair of woodland shoes (Article no 863) colour black and size 44.

                                  The same model that i am currently using, the shoe was purchased by me 2 yrs back from the same showroom in dt mall, mg rd, gurgaon. The shoe had developed a snag wherein the sole of my shoe cracked within a period of 6 months o[censored]se. The sole was replaced by the woodland at their cost but you will appreciate that the process of removing the sole and replacing it caused substantial damage to my shoe.

                                  On going to the same showroom again to buy a new pair of same model i discovered that the showroom was selling the same model of shoes but the manufacturing date was june 2015. I. E 27 months old shoe was being sold as fresh arrival.

                                  This is really very disheartening that a brand like woodland also use such cheep tactics to dupe the customers of their hard earned money.

                                  I am writing to you as i am interested in buying the model of shoe specified by me but would like to buy fresh stuff and not old stuff being marketed as new/ fresh.

                                  Do revert on further course of action on stopping this malpractice of selling old shoes as fresh arrival.

                                  Also pl let me know from where can i buy the model and size as specified by me for my personal use.

                                    Shame on woodland... Paid 5500 for the new shoes and received the used one in return

                                    I kanav sharma would like to bring in your kind attention that i am a loyal customer of woodland and i have been using this brand from last 8 year but today i had a very bad experience with this high rated brand which is highly unacceptable and unfair with the loyal customers your staff they don't have etiquette how to talk with the customer, i bought a pair of shoes w338703 43 black color from your outlet aero club located at elante mall chandigarh branch on 23 sept 2017 at 7:43 pm (Yime mentioned on the bill) i paid 5500 inr (5 rupee more than mrp) to the vendor but i found few wrinkles on the shoes i feel like it's already used not the fresh piece but he said sir don't worry i will polish it so he cleaned it in front of me, as i am in little hurry so still i accepted the shoes on 24th sept i have to travellexd from chandigarh to chamba as i am from chamba but later on 25 th sept when i checked my shoes at home i was little surprised because i saw its sole is looking like used one after that i checked the invoice and what i found was shoes model no on bill is w338703 black 41 and the one i ordered and received was w338703 black 43 which means this is how to make u fool your customer. Then after i went to another woodland showroom located at dalhousie road pathankot this vendor told me that sir this pair is used already and model no on bill is also different and we can't exchange it then later i called your chandigarh staff was very rude instead of helping me he was shouting on me and told me that do what you can do. This happened in one of the famous store located in chandigarh elante mall. I want you to take strict action against your store vendor who sold me this shoes, and i want my shoes replaced.                                       shoe quality is very bad

                                      I purchased a sandal from woodland store pacific mall dehradun (Mx9555 black36) whose mrp was
                                      6495 after discount i purchased it for 4598 on 20 aug 2017. I wore it
                                      For a short span of time next day, it injured my small fingure and
                                      Thumb when i reached my office i saw its leather was cracking and its
                                      Bottom inside layer was peeling, wrinkles were seen and pasting was
                                      Comming out. I felt shocked and pain i spended that much amount and the
                                      Result was so bad. This brand is known for its leather quality and
                                      Durability this was something not expected from their side. I have
                                      Complained about the same in the store but did not received any solution.

                                      My point is if you are not responsible for your are product quality then who is?
                                      Why should i purchase that much costly product if that is not durable at least i would prefer a cheaper one to have no regrets?
                                      After the response of your people and policy mentioned it seems that all the
                                      Points in your policy only made in interest of company not in interest
                                      Of customer. How can any consumer will buy a product whose durability
                                      Challenge only after one single use.

                                      Is it not your responsibility to takcare of such type of case even it
                                      Goes beyond your already set policy. Because if you tell your customer
                                      To wear a repair sandle only after single use then are you not malign
                                      Your brand value and also loosing trust of customers.
