Zerodha — Refund of amount paid for Account opening

I had deposited online an amount of Rs.300 on August 12, 2016 for shares trading through D MAT Account. This amount was for opening account but since I decided not to open Account, i have asked for refund of amount paid.

But I am told amount is not refundable.

Hey,

Can you share the reason you changed your mind? As a policy we don't refund account opening if it's because you changed your mind, if there's no short coming in the level of services rendered on our end.

I couldn't provide supported document and couldn't open the account. They are not ready to refund. I feel Zerodha is cheating people by asking money first. If you can't get any document, it's gone. Money payment should be the last step. These guys found a new way to make money. This is ticket number: Ticket #[protected]
