I had made the final settlement on my Abn Amro bank on 21st Oct 2009.
Arrived on the settlement amount after discussing with the concerned executive in their Chennai Division.
Also made the final settlement of Rs.5000/- . But, still my name is reflecting in Cibil as defaulter.

I have applied for a car loan. Requesting you to remove my name.

    sir,

    i was using credit card of abn amoro.

    one day i reeceived a call from abn amro for charging Rs 4000 as yearly usges charges for holding credit card,
    i said i do not want to use your credit card so cancell it. and do not charge me annual chrge

    surprisely insted of cancelling card , they send ,me bill for rs 4000. i call them that i have distroyed your credit card and not using it or do need to use it. kindly cancelled the charges and also inform you that i have paid all my dues ahaibst card used.

    now they have spoil my report in cibil and i am fdacing problem.

    can anyone help in the matter and oblige

      Sir,

      I was issued credit card from ABN Amro Bank in June, 2006. This credit card was hardly used for transaction by me as sole user. But from year 2007 some amount approx. Rs. 700/- is being asked by me to submit through tele-callings.
      Whereas my repeated requests about furnishing transactions details never being entertained, now even morally i feel a liability upon me and as a responsible citizen I need to clear the amount.

      Kindly guide me how i can get the details of the transactions showing outstanding and further the procedure to submit the amount.

      ABN AMRO Bank — Cr Card

      I have a Cr card from abn ABN AMRO bank and the bank has charged me with the smart protection charges and with the insurence charge WITHOUT EVEN ACTIVATING MY CARD can someone pls call me on this issue. Thank you,

      A week back a person named Amit Singhania indentified himself as Asst. Manager Delhi Branch called to my mobile number [protected] regarding a promotional offer of Jet Airways on my card. He said it is absolutely free of cost and i also asked him 5 times before accepting the offer whether it is free of cost or not. He said it is absolutely free of cost. But to my surprise i got a statement from ABN Amro bank asking me to pay an amount of Rs 5056 for that promotional offer. [protected] was the number i got a call from. When i contatced to this number on 08 May 2008 one of the executives from Delhi branch responded and said the available balance will be made zero but this didn't happen till now.
      I also got a feedback from them that they recevied several complaints against Amit Singhania. Also when i called today (09 May 2008) no one is lifting the phone and i feel and they are trying to ascape. I am sure ABN Amro bank is sleeping. This is an absolutely cheating. I want some one to immediately address to this problem or else i am going to proceed legally against Amit Singhania and ABN AMro bank and this issue will be published in all leading dailies targeting the banks goodwill. Hope you understand the seriousness of the problem.

      ABN AMRO Bank Credit Card — After settlement asking for payment due

      I am the holder of ABN Amro Credit card No. [protected],
      I had settled my accounts November 2008 by paying total of Rs. 39000 in 5 installments,

      Now bank is asking again for payment...

      What should I don't please suggest...

      I have the settlement letter & receipts everything, Please help me on this.

      yeah the same thing has happened to me. And now they are asking me to pay again.

      I have written am email to [protected]@in.abnamro.com and i have received replies asking me to send a scanned copy of the settlement letter and when i did so they sent a letter at my house saying that settlement was void as i did not make any payments.
      ABN Amro Bank works in an etical manner. They often eat their own words. R. B. I should deal with them with a very heavy hand. Such banks should not be allowed to operate from Indian soil, Their agents lure innocent people of this great country. We should not forget the english could rule India for 2 centuries because some from us supported them for few hundred rupees and allowed them to loot a great country of ours Some of our country men have noy learnt from past mistakes and still following the same path.

      ABN AMRO Credit Card — Settlement & Closure of credit card

      I had opt for an ready cash of Rs 50000 at 26th June 2006 from my credit card I had preclose this account with 3 Percent preclosure fee on Nov 2006
      The Payment Details are below

      Hence all of sudden From March 2009 there is an call from outside agency saying i have an due of Rs 6000
      These thing is been intimated to ABN AMro Bank but no reply I request you to resolve this issue ASAP

      Credit card of ABN AMRO bank — settlement of card

      i was using credit card of ABN AMRO bank no.[protected]and regularly paying the amount.suddenly the bank had stooped issuing the statement in the year 2005and also cahrged for lie time member ship rs.1995, which was never opted by me.
      On many occasions i paid the amount th' cheuqes.
      i wrote letters and sent emails to bank but nothing happened.i also requested or closure of my card and the bank intern requested me for not to do so.

      after 3 -4 years now one fellow from teh bank sameer yadav, told me that my amount due is Rs.21, 237 and he ofered me to settle it for Rs 9000.i had got aletterdated 27march 2009 from the bank in which they ofered that i can pay in 2 or 3 intallemnts and the discount for 2 is 45% and 3 is 40%.

      surpresingly when i wrote to ABN AMRO, they denied for such letter an dasked the scanned copy of it.
      i am writing to CIBIL as i want to expose all the tatctics of ABN AMRO bank and its employees.

      if reuq i can even send u all teh scanned copies and emails.

      CIBIL should only put the names of defaulter only when it get the facts verified from customer as well as the bank.

      ABN AMRO — Legal process after credit card settlement letter

      Settled my credit card and after a year I am still being called by the Legal Manager for my outstanding and saying that waterver i settled was just the interests.
      I am confused wat to do

      This is a compaint against ABN AMRO BANK card no [protected] .. where my settlement had done on may 2009.. now i am receiving a call from the banks that you have a due payments.. and i have all the receipts of given payments ..

      When i have seen into receipts that the person who have come to took the payment shehad done afraud with me..hehad mentioned wrong date on two receipt.. and that time i did not see .. Now i am not able to give the money . first i want to meet that person of DSA who had done a fraud and done this big mistakes ..

      I have been facing similar problem with ABN AMro bank. They were kind of a fraud bank, hence sold off . An outstanding of INR 3200 approximately is against me whereas I had been aasking them to show the proof that I have bought something for which i didnot pay . They could not produce . Now some other company has bought their liabilities it seems . I think there is a complaint process with RBI for these kind of things. Try to check on RBI site.

      Folks,

      I have the same problem. They are calling me and everyone around. They seem to be desperate for collecting money that people dont owe. I dont owe them any money and I'd only used that card a very few times. I'd paid my bills for whatever I bought using their card. The card was destroyed and not in use for the last 5/6 years. Now they are asking me for 5000 odd Rs. If anyone knows please let me know the procedure to file a complaint against them. I'm already planning to file a complaint with my police station.

      Recently I applied for a car loan at sbi bank bangalore. To my surprise they called me telling my civil report shows bad credit in 2005 !!! I was really taken aback. Then I could recall the bad incident with Aba amro credit card...

      If I recall sometime in 2005 !!! abn AMRO offered me a credit card with
      no annual charges. Bur when I received that card I was billed I guess Rs
      1500 as annual payment..I am not able to recollect the actual amount as its
      almost a decade old. Later I wrote a Letter to their Manager and returned
      back the credit card with the letter saying have unnecesarily
      billed which was not told to me earlier and I wont be paying. They called me
      few times but once I said I will go to consumer court the calls stopped. But that
      Is still reflecting in my credit history. I don't even know the card number and
      I don't have any records now that it's 10 yrs back. Please advise how I can
      correct this issue.
      In fact I did not even use that card for any transactions.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        On 29th Sep 2007, my ABN Amro (now RBS Bank) credit card # [protected] was charged Rs. 4000 against "Free Flight fee" scheme without my consent, and the scheme was not availed by me. After receiving the statement, I lodged a complaint with the ABN Amro Bank stating that Rs. 4000 be credited back to my a/c immediately as I had not given consent for enrolling in the above scheme. After 3 statement cycle and no. of follow-ups, Rs.4000 was credited back to my a/c on 26th Dec'10. Since the total amount was not reversed, the total outstanding went up with each billing statement with the late fee, finance charges, etc. and since I had immediately stopped using the card after Rs 4000 was charged on 29th Sep'07, I had confirmed to the bank officials that I'll not be paying any amount arising out of the non-reversal of the Rs.4000 charged against the above scheme, which was not availed by me.
        To my dismay, instead of reversing all my undue charges, the bank has put my case in CIBIL due to which I have suffered quite a few rejections for new credit card and loan applications in the last 4 years. I request RBI to take appropriate action against the bank and correct my credit rating immediately. Also due compensation be awarded to me as it has led to mental agony and trouble in getting my recent car loan.
        I am attaching all the relevant statements for your reference.

        Request please arrange to take appropriate action against the bank so that my credit rating is corrected.

        ABN AMRO Bank Credit Card — Charged without consent

        Dear Sir,

        I would really appreciate if the problem i am facing can be solved with your intervention.
        I am holding a Freedom Credit Card No. [protected] given by ABN AMRO BANK. Now the problem is 2-3 months earlier i was offered a holiday package from ABN sales executive, i clearly told them to send me brochure and then i will decide, so inspite of sending brochure they sent me next month statement with debit of Holiday package. Immediately on receiving the same i lodge a formal complaint whose Ref No. given to me is [protected]. Now every month they keep on charging late payment fees and service taxes over and over. So again i got Ref No. for my complaint i.e [protected]. After some days they made harrassment call to me that you have to pay the charges and i explained him that why should i pay the charges when i have not bought anything. But to no respite again and again these people keep calling me. On 16/11 i also spoken with their team leader Shrada Mam in Mumbai and the Ref No. she provided is[protected]. But till yet they have not reversed the full charges and continue sending statements and SMS's for due payment. Kindly help from these misleading , unsrupulous practices.
        I hope by submitting complaint here my problem could be solved.

        I have similar complaint. I received calls from Abn Amro call center, two months back regarding oriental express holiday package. At least 20 calls came in less than a week and after repeatedly denying the offer, the executive kept on calling and even used harsh tone. Last month a amount of Rs 5, 000 was charged in my statement (credit card no.[protected]). On 13th Dec 09( Sunday) morning I got a call from the phone no.+[protected], and asked to deposit approx Rs 6, 000 to clear the pending dues. When I tried to explain this fellow who said his name is Pradeep, he used foul language and even said, "Main jab chahun phone karunga aur aap mera khuch bigad nahin sakte." I want to ask Abn Amro's senior officials, If this the way they treat their customers and if they want to sell their packages in this manner? I am not going to pay a single penny as I have nt opted for the scheme and even have nt used the offer. I dont want to continue the card. If I receive similar call again, I ll lodge a formal police complaint.

        Due to wrong debit of Rs.400 /- ,ICICI CREDIT CARD DEPARTMENT HAD SEND ME THE SMS REGARDING THE REVERSAL OF Rs.400 /- for the wrong debit.but till today they did not reverse my charges.Inspite of they send me a lot of Penaulty Charges with Interest.Also block my credit card and send this details to CIBIL.

        CIBIL also accept the entry from ICICI CREDIT CARD DEPARTMENT. Why CIBIL ACCEPT such entries without communicated to person whose credit lost .My question to CIBIL is that what is the procedure of Accepting such entries. Do u have any guidelines for this . Why CIBIL is not communicated to the Indivisual Person before enter his name . Has CIBIL knows what is happened with the Individual Person.Why CIBIL is not asking to the ICICI BANK CREDIT CARD department.Why the ICICI CARD not follows the committment given to Card Holder for Reversing the Charges.
        This is the one way traffic from CIBIL. Before accepting such wrong credit information CIBIL must ask to Both Parties.

        Also they can prove that you agreed for free flight scheme.
        I was also holding RBS credit card.

        My suggestion is very simple --- get your CIBIL report from CIBIL website (It will cost you Rs 450)
        In Cibil Report it is mentioned under STATUS
        SUIT FILED/WILFUL DEFAULT
        WRITEN OFF ATATUS --????????
        WRITTEN OFF AMOUNT (TOTAL)
        WRITTEN OFF AMOUNT (PRINCIPAL)
        SETTLEMENT AMOUNT

        Pay the default amount in full. Also talk to customer care to know the total amount balance.

        4 years back i was having 6 credit cards but after getting so many credit cards I came to know
        the problems with credit cards i cancelled my all credit cards except ICICI credit card.

        Against each credit card DATE CLOSED is mentioned - It indicates that Now I do not have any relationship with those cards.

        My credit score is 868 out of 900 (Which is toooooo good)

          Pls note that the loan was taken on below card for 6 months EMI basis & the same was cleared from my side as and when I use to get the statement from ABN AMRO BANK (ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND) - [protected]. And here if you can see the below statement from bank clearly shows that I have cleared the full loan as per the statement. And after that they have put late payment fee on it for this I was not at all responsible when I had already cleared all my balance they have put late payment charges and in fact after when I got to know that they are still charging some fee on the same card, at that point time itself I had informed them to reverse this & close my account. But instead of that they have keep on charging late fee & interest on it. For which I was not at all responsible. That’s what now showing in below statement after page no 17 to 22. Pls note that I have cleared all the EMI payment on time which this statement itself showing (looks like I have made more payment) & because of this ABN AMRO mistake of late collection from the drop box which I have made the payment in time. Pls refer its showing that they have received the payment on 02/04/2008. I would request you to check the details of the cheque which was dropped in the ABN AMRO BANK, cheque no 981781 PAYMENT RECEIVED, THANK YOU -8,922.00 , which was dropped on time in the drop box. Since ABN AMRO made delay in collecting the same from the drop box how can I be responsible for it? Hence request to observe the same and do the needful process.
          This is clear case of negligence and delay from bank for collecting the payment from drop box of ABN AMRO BANK (ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND). This is the mistake from the bank, apart from that, they have put this in CIBIL which was not acceptable & clear case of harassment form the bank..

          ABN Amro RBS — LOAN

          my father had taken loan easy cash loan Rs.50,000/- in ABN AMRO royal bank of Scotland in 2005 .with repay in 24 EMI amount Rs.2378. he paid it back sometime he also paid 2600 .after five years(2010) they are calling us saying he has not got clearance letter.one named Mr.Subash threatening and torture me to pay he said to pay Rs 1000 .so i paid Rs1,000 for clearance letter but they didn't send me later another guy called said u have to pay 11,000 he said he gonna forward complaint to IG office , Chennai...
          we have paid back our loan why these people blackmailing us for clearance letter ......only god as to judge these frauds.

                Charges what you levied on me is some auto debit EMI. At that period itself I spoke to your CSC to reverse the money which I am not going to pay. Same is reflecting on 16/11/2005 TO 15/12/2005 statement. Again you charged me for the annual fee which I was not accepting and the same has been conveyed to your CSC. Then I took a final step to thrash the card and throwed it in your ATM drop box. But you guys are still continue to send the statement along with the auto debit EMI and Annual fee charges, service tax, late fee etc. etc..



                In your last statement (dated 15/09/2006) says the total amount 6078.59 got reversed (having CR. note at the end of amount column) which explains to me that whole amount got reversed and there is no due. How can the total amount will be 6078.59 again.



                Neverthless, It is completely unprofessional/unethical and you guys screwed my credit scores where I am no way at fault. Send all this note to CIBIL and update my records properly. Send me the confirmation letter.

Then ABN AMRO sold its investments in the market to Royal Bank of Scotland NV.Now they say it is not their business.

                      RBS N.V reported to CIBIL, I have failed to pay the amount since 2009.



                      I have closed this loan Mr. Sharat Akkiraju Legal head approval on 16th March, 2006. I did not have any communication after 2006.



                      Please find an attached of his legal head communication with me by mail.



                      RBS mis-using the CIBIL database system providing the wrong information. Please cross check their information.



                      RBS is updating the wrong information into CIBIL, though loan closed his legal head approval. I did not know about RBS legal head accountability and responsibilities.



                      Even after properly closed with your legal head approval, RBS is misusing the CIBIL and spoiling my name reputation of CIBIL.



                      A waiting from Banking Ombudsman Process justices, please save my life from RBS now and future as well.



                      My Question:



                      The amount has been paid after legal head approval, then why the loan was not properly closed.
                      What is the intension of compliant with manipulated data to CIBIL after 6 years?
                      What is your legal head responsibility to closing the loan? He did not tell anything in my HR table.
                      Why RBS have given wrong data to CIBIL and action for the same.
                      Why my data has been manipulated and update into CIBIL. My case history is different and data updated CIBIL is different.
                      Let me know the way of getting justice with compensation.

                        since last 3 days i am receving the calls from above mentioned bank saying that i am used as reference for one of their client for credit card. now they are claiming that the client is not ready to pay the oustanding amount and i will need to pay the same which is range of some 2 lakhs. but the complaint is that i had never taken the security of any such client nor given any document as a referee.
                        another thing to be wondered is that they are having all the details about me and they are saying that they will deduct it from my salary account. they are also saying that the reference is changed just last week.
                        i m sure this is a sort of cyber crime.
                        please suggest something if anyone is aware.

                        The situation you are in is pathetic and definitely not a place anyone would like to be in. What you will need to do is go to the bank and make them understand that you did not stand as guarantor for the loan. In the past i have seen this happen to many of my clients and the went through a very emotional and stressful stage. Please try to deal with this immediately.                             Dear Sir,

                            The loan I owed from ABN AMRO Bank was settled last year and I was sent the letter of the settlement as paid the decided amount to the bank. However,after an year I have started receiving letters and phone calls stating that I still owe the same amount to them.

                            Further, I talked to the collections department who then connected me to their Customer Service, where I was told that the system issue has caused the amount not updated on the account. I was given a complaint number and assured that problem will resolved within ten days. This was in the month of January 2011 but no status was updated even after the time frame promised.

                            I am still receiving the statements and calls for the payment. Please help

                              I had a credit card from ABN Amro Bank which was supposed to be free of cost but later on the bank levied charges without information & knowledge. They started making abusive collection calls to me & my family without trying to check their mistake.
                              I raised the matter with Banking Ombudsman & demanded a compensation of 3.5 Lacs for harrasment for 5 years by bank. Banking Ombudsman agreed that ABN Amro was at fault, but complaint rejected as compensation I claimed was not under it's authorization, I was advised to approach to any other authority for the compensation. Please guide me where to take the matter up & penalize the bank for it's wrong doings.

                              I would inform you that your bank charges Rs 4499/- + Rs 463.39 (now as on 25.11.09, added late fees & financial charges also) on September 2009 but this amount not related to me. On 17.09.09 a complained through mail but there was no response. The ABN Amro bank another replied on 13th November 2009, that this amount to be revert within 5 working days. But till date I have not received any mail regarding that amount from Abn Amro Bank..
                              On 25.11.2009 my wife attended “Leather world” Kolkata, Shyambazar, for purchase of a leather bag but the credit card declined to accept it showing the card is inactive. This a clean case of Insult to my wife, me also.

                                I am Lalesh Kumar , was the card holder of ABN AMRO. This was the first time I ever used the credit card. My outstanding amount was 76,000 Rs. I had asked for a settlement and they agreed for 58,303 RS at one shot, which I agreed. The payment was done in October 2008. The executive had promised me to send the settlement letter within a week from the date of payment, which they never sent.
                                Now in Feb 2011, they have sent a court notice to make the payment. How can I resolve this?

                                  I found during the process of taking a home loan that my name is appearing in the CIBIL report w.r.t. my ABN AMRO Credit Card No.[protected]. The contents of the report are as under:-

                                  3. After inquiry, ABN AMRO Bank waived off the amount of Rs.1,21,674/- which is also shown in the CIBIL report as (written off). Even the current balance/overdue may be the interest and penalties on the amount of Rs.1,21,674/-. Hence current balance/overdue does not have any meaning. According to my records, I do not have any outstanding in my name against this credit card

                                  4. It is, therefore, requested that my name may be deleted from the CIBIL report. I shall be grateful for an early action and reply in the matter.

                                    Had opened a first new bank account on pursuance of your emploies in your bank with the assurance that zero balance facility is available as my school fees i.e. Loreto convent lucknow,fees are deposited in your bank.                                       I am not having any Credit Cards and was having only one Cash Card Earlier that was of GE Money. I have already Cleared the Payment and closed the Card.

                                      Today I have got a call from an Executive saying that she is from ABN AMRO Credit Cards Dept from[protected] at 2.32 Pm. She is simply threatening with out hearing my words. I clearly told her that I am not holding any Credit Cards. She is telling that she is speaking to righ Person and asking for clearing the amount of Rs. 1.2 Lakhs.

                                      I was shocked and surprised and tried to explain her that I am not the Person and may have called wrongly instead of calling other person. she is not at all listening to me and she is threatening like any thing.

                                        I had an Credit Card Account with Abn Amro Bank. I lost my card & requested bank to block my card on Phone & Haus Khas Branch, Due to in sufficient information about my card they rejected to block it.
                                        I tried a lot to find my credit card details but not be able to due to house shifting. After some time bank start calling me to pay outstanding amount. I went to (Bhara Khamba Branch CP Delhi) to meet the manger for the issue, that time we had some hard conversation & he locked me into the conference room with one of his executive, who forcing me to pay the amount & manager said I will not leave you till the time you are not making payment. When I tried to called police & they took my phone over. After some time they purpose me to have settlement on the amount & asked me to pay 2700 RS.
                                        I gave them the amount but they didn’t gave the settlement letter. Manager said that Settlement letter will come from our HQ Mumbai directly to you resi address. I tried a lot & follow-up with manger to have the settlement letter but no response from them. This instance happened in Jan-2007.

                                        ABN bank stopped contacted me by Phone/ SMS or Monthly statement at home. I assume that it has been settled but again I start receiving call from RBS collection staff. They used very abuse language & harsh me by calling every day.
                                        I was trying to get in touch with ABC management & came to know that it has been take over by RBS. I was trying to contact RBS management but no response. I called Customer forum & found few contact numbers for the bank & got one email id to contact bank of such issues. I sent mail about the instance but after long time no proper solution from bank on the incidence.
