Dear Sir/Madam,

I have booked a flight through Air India Airlines from Mumbai to Cochin to fly on 24th March 2020, due to lockdown announced in India and Mumbai from 22nd March 2020, due to CoViD, I could not fly, time and again I have following-up with ease my trip, through which I have booked Air India Flight and Air India Office, Nariman Point, they asked me to wait as Court case was going on for the same, after waiting for 1.5 years, I have been asked to claim refund by ease my trip and Air India deducted the full cancellation and paid me just 200 Rs, as if I am a begger and asking for their money. No one is responding to my emails and not offering any solution. This is so humiliating and case of cheating public money.

      I had booked my parents travel from Ahmedabad, India to Raleigh/Durham, USA from 05/05/2021 - 30/09/2021. The e-ticket numbers are as follows:

      Due to travel ban imposed by US government from 04/05/2021, my parents could not travel as planned. As the tickets were booked through Expedia, I had immediately taken action to notify Expedia. At the time, Expedia confirmed that the booking was canceled and I could use the refund for future travel for the same passengers and same carrier i.e. AirIndia as far as booking is made before 31/03/2022.

      However, when I called Expedia for booking my parents future flights from 10/03/2022 - 14/08/2022, they said the travel has to be completed by 10/03/2022.

      When I called AirIndia about the issue, after several tries, I was directed to ticketing department where Vidhya explained that as per the waiver issued on October 1st, I should be able to book the tickets and use the travel funds. She tried helping to book tickets for me, but she could not complete it as my tickets were originally issued by Expedia and advised me to work with Expedia.

      When I called Expedia back for the same, they said that AirIndia did not update them with the waiver code and they need the same. The representative also, made a call to AirIndia, however, the AirIndia representative Khushbu told him that she will arrange a call back and Isha should receive a call from AirIndia within 4 hours and she will be helped with the booking. I did not receive any call and upon inquiring again and again, I receive same response that we would like to help and we will arrange a call back. I have received ‘0’ call backs from AirIndia.

      I have received no call back after more than 20 calls made to the customer service. It has been frustrating and I would like to receive a REFUND, so, I don't have to travel by AirIndia ever again.

      This is not only financially draining, but also emotionally and mentally draining experience for me.

      As much as, I was excited about meeting my parents and them flying on TATA owned AirIndia, I am disappointed with your customer service.

        Hi Air India Team,

        This is to bring your notice by raising a complaint against additional charges which has been collected from us in lieu for excess baggage, we had a flight to bangalore from delhi against PNR Z3DL7 and we were carrying 4 luggage bags and 2 laptop bags (precisely only contained only laptops), As per the itinerary we were allowed to take check-in with 50KG (2 pas) and 14KG (2 Pas) for cabin but Air india staff at counter has told us that only one bag is allowed in cabin so we can carry only laptop bag which is only 2-3 KG and the smallest bag of 7KG which we wanted to carry with us in cabin has not be allowed we have been charged against that bag (7KG) and have been told us that no passengers are allowed to take more than 1 bag whether its laptop bag or hand bag. Contrary to that we have seen many passengers carrying small cabin size bags with laptop bags and rules also state the same excluding cabin luggage we can carry one laptop or hand bag. We have also asked the staff to show us the rules when and where it's changed but no one has been able to show the written statement at the check in counter and at the boarding gate. We were getting late and we do not want to miss the flight so we have asked for details where we can raise our concern online.

        As a frequent air india flyer, I have faced this difficulty very first time and wanted to highlight the unfair charges which have been collected from us for 7KG bag which we could carry in the cabin including laptop bags.

        Please record my concern and request you to investigate and refund the excess charges. I thought things had changed for the better of air India when TATA took over because I was a tata employee for 5 yrs and I know the values of tata but unfortunately my latest experience is completely different.

          Due to the covid positive test, we were not able to travel to India to see our ailing aunt and had to cancel the trip. Canceling number is 13257315. It has been over two months and as of today, we have not received the refund. Request for refund is credited to my credit card. Thank you

            HI. My name is Pradnya Gaikwad and I boarded AirIndia AI130 on 14th Feb 2022 At 21:30 from London, United Kingdom. It was a journey from London to Mumbai and a direct flight.
            I was placed with my 2 family members on seats 25G, 25H and 25J
            The seats were uncomfortable, we were not able to stretch.
            The screen was not working. We requested crew members to start the screen. They kept on saying- it will take 15 mins and we have re started it from back end. The other explanation was- the technician is working. So overall for 8 hours the screen was not working.
            The food was oily and the taste was not at all palatable.
            There were no blankets provided. This is worst.
            I had my old mother and disabled brother who was travelling with me.
            And finally, my bag was damaged which I received on Belt 5 on Mumbai Airport
            We paid 99000/- as economy fare and this is what we were treated!
            This is highly unacceptable behaviour
            I want someone to look into this matter.

                I made my booking thru yatra but had to call air india to cancel. So I did. There was a penalty which I accepted. For an approx 80, 000 ticket, the penalty was around 20, 000 and I expected an approx of 60, 000/ That's what was explained to me as well, and these are the cancellation charges as per yatra as well. Then can someone explain why the refund amount is 1993 rs only? Yatra says that's what they received and they don't even have a person to actually talk to. A very rude customer service agent on Air India speaks to me and says to take it up with Yatra. How do I do this?

                      Case ID: 12872857, PNR: ZE44C, my return ticket (4 passengers) from Delhi to Chicago is open for use as of 29 Nov 2021.

                      For last few days, I made about 20 calls to Air India customer support. Every time either calls get disconnected automatically in 30 min OR they arrange a call back but nobody calls me back.
                      They have 2 Indian customer support numbers, one of them is[protected] which never gets connected any more.

                      It was budget fare difference until end of last week but today they say almost double price than last week regardless we still have open tickets for use.

                      This is so much frustrating... Looks like, I am going to lose my open tickets and end up paying full price tickets :(.
                      I feel like Air India is still a big cheater however I respect TATA and wish I get my problem solved asap.

                        Had booked an AirIndia flight ticket through Travelopod agency from Coimbatore to San Francisco for $1345 ( Details shared below) . However I reached out to Air India Folks to cancel my ticket before 24 hrs of departure and I have been told that as per the latest AirIndia Airline rules, am eligible for a refund after deduction of Rs.2500 and 5% GST charges which would get credited back to my credit card which was used to bill at the time of transaction. I still haven't received the credit back to my account and I have been following up multiple times with the travel agency has well.

                                    My Parents who are senior citizens have a flight from Bagdogra to Kolkata on 16/02/2022 and they have been trying to cancel the tickets as they cannot travel as both of them are unwell. My Father had reaction due to Covid Booster and is still very weak and my mother has a severe back ache.
                                    Airindia is not providing any refund for the cancellation. This is really a bad experience for a Company which should be providing better benefits for Senior Citizens. In this current situation, not giving a refund and any other option like credit note is brutal. On top of that when we contacted the customer care they were told that they have to come to the Airport if they need waiver! At their age when they are not well, AirIndia knows that they will not be able to come and do that. This is exploitation in pure sense.

                                        Hi, My name is Ekta Arora Gill and I travelled in air india flight no AI336 - from New Delhi to Singapore. The staff checked my paper work - my australian passport, covid certificate, covid test, singapore visa etc and let me board this flight.

                                        When I arrived in Singapore - I was detained by immigration as I came here on non VTL flight - meaning I was not permitted to go out as a tourist and this happended as the crew who checked me in did not do their work properly and I was the one to suffer here in the detention room. I cant even explain how I bad I felt being treated the way I was treated for not doing anything wrong - had the staff at new delhi informed me of this issue, I would not have come at all but their failure led to this issue.

                                        Air India not just failed here but they took no responsibility of coming to me and speaking with me to sort this situation. I kept asking Singapore authorities to let me speak with the Air India contact but they advised that Air India personnel has decided this for you and you will be put on flight to India on the 15th of Feb. Why could not someone come to me to sort this for me. I am an Australian Citizen and Indian OCI holder but Air India staff has let me down and put me into this miserable situation. I had booked my 5 star hotel to stay for 2 days and had plans to catch my connecting flight on the 15th of Feb to return to Melbourne but here I am stuck in a detain centre/room with limited food and services.

                                        All I need is Air India to act faster and either have me send back to delhi asap or I am happy to pay for any flights to leave from this room and have my freedom back. This is the worst flying experience I ever had and I will definitely take this further with higher management of Air India. I was quiet happy that TATA has taken this over but I am sad to witness the ground reality of this airline and being a victim of their mistake and their un co-operative behaviour.
