I came on a vacation to India and I wanted to reschedule my flight. Poor communication and response from customer service representatives lead to 45 minutes call waiting for each call. They are even disconnecting the call while I am talking and explaining issues. It's sad how a person needs to spend around 3 hours each day to talk to a rep. I called them straight 4 days daily spending 3 hours and even today my issue remains unsolved. I hate this service

    I have booked air India on[protected] with flight no AI0459 in Delhi airport terminal 3. I came two hours prior the boarding time for the baggage check-in. There are no staff to assist the passengers, due to this there is lot of crowd rushing towards counter, no covid protocols had been followed, no proper queue has been maintained and i have seen the women struggling to check in also. Due to this my baggage got delayed.

    I have asked the duty manager regarding the issue, but he is arrogantly saying us to go GATE 1, when we approached GATE 1 they are like go to the duty manager at the check-in counter. They have been manipulating to go here and there and trying to get rid o[censored]s. We asked the manager why are you manipulating us, he is saying i am not the duty manager and saying we are late, but we came early 2 hours prior and for proof asked to check the CC TV footage also. We are so disappointed by the arrogant answers given by the duty manger, the way he treats the passengers is avoiding the situation and not answering properly.As he is the duty manger he is not even wearing the mask.

    I request to verify CCTV if needed also and value the passengers how the staff are respecting the passengers and following the COVID protocols .

          Posting on behalf of my aged mother
          हमने 14 नवम्बर को इंदौर से देहरादून के लिए एयर इंडिया की 1 स्टॉप फ्लाइट AI-635(इंदौर से दिल्ली) और AI-9645(दिल्ली से देहरादून) बुक की थी। क्योंकि दिल्ली में सबसे कम layover टाइम(1घण्टा 35 मिनट)
          इसी फ्लाइट का था। AI-635 का टाइम 9:15 am इंदौर से चल कर 11:10 am दिल्ली पहुंचने का था। और वहां से AI-9645 का टाइम 12:45 pm बजे चल कर 1:45 pm देहरादून पहुंचने का था। जब हम लोग इंदौर एयरपोर्ट पर 7:15 am पर पहुंचे तो हमें पता चला कि हमारी फ्लाइट का departure टाइम 10:30 am हो गया है। हमने वहां एयर इण्डिया के स्टाफ से बात की कि हमारी आगे 12:45 pm की कंनेक्टिंग फ्लाइट है तो उन्होनें कहा कि अगर आपकी आगे की फ्लाइट भी एयर इण्डिया की है तो आप परेशान मत होइए आपको आगे की फ्लाइट मिल जाएगी।ऐसा सुनकर हम लोग निश्चिंत हो गए। यहां मैं अपनी परेशानी भी बताना चाहूंगी। Actually मेरी पसलियों में 3 fractures हैं। और इसके साथ ही मुझे स्लिप डिस्क की भी प्रॉब्लम है। मैं ज्यादा देर लगातार बैठनहीं सकती। मुझे असहनीय दर्द शुरू हो जाता है। थोड़ी देर बाद पता चलता है कि फ्लाइट अभी दिल्ली से आई ही नहीं है और late हो गयी है। मेरे लिए wait करना बहुत मुश्किल हो रहा था। लेकिन हमारे पास कोई चारा नहीं था। खैर 10:35 am पर फ्लाइट आयी। और बोर्डिंग शुरू हुई। फ्लाइट 11:15 am पर उड़ी। जो कि दिल्ली 12:35 pm पर पहुंच गई। इसी दौरान मेरे बेटे के पास नेक्स्ट फ्लाइट वालों का फ़ोन आया कि आपके पैसेंजर्स ने अभी तक बोर्ड नहीं किया है। मेरे बेटे ने बताया कि मेरे पेरेंट्स की फ्लाइट इंदौर से ही देर में चली है। बस वो पहुंचने ही वाले होंगे। जब हम दिल्ली पहुंचे तो वहां एयर इण्डिया के स्टाफ ने हमें बताया कि आपकी फ्लाइट जा चुकी है। हम कुल 5 पैसेंजर देहरादून के लिए आगे सफर करने वाले थे। हममें से एक मैडम के पास एयरइंडिया का msg भी आया था कि फ्लाइट का टाइम 12:55 pm हो गया है। जबकि उस टाइम 12:40pm हुए थे। और अभी फ्लाइट उड़ी नहीं थी। लेकिन हमें बताया गया कि अब गेट्स बन्द हो गए हैं अब कुछ नहीं हो सकता। ये सुनकर हम shocked रह गए। हमें ये बोला गया कि अब हम आपको हमारी अगली फ्लाइट जो कि शाम को 6:20 pm पे है उसमें भेज सकते हैं। ये सुनकर मेरे तो होश ही उड़ गए। क्योंकि इतनी तकलीफ के साथ एयरपोर्ट पर 5 घण्टे और 40 मिनट बैठना मेरे लिए बहुत मुश्किल था। हमारे साथ जो 3 लोग और थे उन्होंने भी बहुत रिकवेस्ट की लेकिन एयरइण्डिया के स्टाफ ने हमें बोला कि हम केवल यही कर सकते हैं। या फिर आप रिफंड ले के बाहर काउंटर से कोई और फ्लाइट बुक करवा के चले जा सकते हैं। जब हमने चेक किया तो केवल एक इंडिगो की फ्लाइट शाम 4:55 पर थी जिसका fare बहुत ज्यादा था। हमारे पास इंतजार करने के अलावा कोई ऑप्शन नहीं था। जब हमने दोपहर के खाने के लिए बोला तो उन्होंने हमें दिल्ली स्ट्रीट के लिए एक मील वाउचर दिया। जब हमने वो वाउचर दिल्ली स्ट्रीट में दिखाया तो उन्होंने बताया कि इस एयरलाइन्स का हमारे साथ 2 महीने पहले कॉन्ट्रैक्ट खत्म हो चुका है। हम सब को बहुत गुस्सा आया। फिर से स्टाफ से बात की तो उनमें से एक व्यक्ति हमें गेट नंबर 27 पर बैठा के गया कि मैं वाउचर चेंज करवा के ला रहा हूँ।अपना नम्बर भी दे कर गया। हम लोग बहुत देर तक इंतजार करते रहे लेकिन वो वापिस ही नहीं आया। और न ही उसने मेरे पति का फोन उठाया।एक बार मेरा फ़ोन उठाया तो बोला कि मैंने आपका वाउचर किसी और को दिया था। मैं अभी पता कर के 5 मिनट में आपको कॉल करता हूँ। फिर 30 मिनट तक कोई कॉल नहीं आया। फाइनली हम लोगों ने अपने पैसों से लंच किया। मेरे लिए तो इतने घण्टे इंतज़ार करना एक सज़ा के समान था मेरा दर्द बढ़ता ही जा रहा था। ये सबके चलते शाम के 5 बज गए थे। बोर्डिंग पास पर 5:20 pm बोर्डिंग टाइम लिखा था। फिर किसी तरह हम लोग गेट नम्बर 42 पर पहुंचे तो पता चला कि आगे वाली फ्लाइट भी late है। वो फ्लाइट 6:20 पर आई और देहरादून के लिए 7:08 pm पर उड़ी। जबकि उसका 7:15 pm पर देहरादून पहुँचने का टाइम था। ये फ्लाइट फाइनली 8 बजे देहरादून पहुंची। हमारी ये शिकायत है कि जब हमारी कंनेक्टिंग फ्लाइट भी एयर इंडिया की ही थी तो हमारे लिए थोड़ी सी देर wait क्यों नहीं किया गया? जो भी हो हमारा एयर इंडिया के साथ ये बहुत ही बुरा अनुभव रहा। जिसे हम जिंदगी भर नहीं भूल पाएंगे। न ही हम कभी किसी को एयर इंडिया से सफर करने की सलाह देंगे।

            I would like to complain and want to get compensated because the flight was delayed for 2 hours which is more than the tolal flight time. Plus on arrival we were crowed in the bus to the terminal building. No covid protocals were abserved. How long the customers should suffer ?

              I tried booking a ticket from London to Bengaluru on 28th October. The Air India Website had a glitch and showed an error that the transaction was not processed. But the amount of GBP 1564.27 had been debited from my bank account. I did not receive the air ticket nor the confirmation. I called up Air India customer care immediately and explained the situation. I was informed that the generated PNR was cancelled and that I will receive a refund within 6-7 working days and that I should fill feedback forms and email the e-commerce team. It has been almost a month since the incident has occurred and I have not received the refund. The customer care service is horrible, they always pretend to connect my call to the escalation team but the call automatically disconnects. I request this forum to help me with this issue.

                  Hello,

                  This is regarding PNR JXEMK.

                  I would like to raise a complaint against the Air India ground staff at Mumbai International airport.
                  This is with regards to the incident that took place at the Mumbai international airport with my parents who are senior citizens.
                  My parents had a valid ticket and documents to travel to Singapore on 18th March. I was pregnant at that time and desperately needed my parents.

                  The flight was scheduled at 12 noon. My parents traveled from Pune and reached Mumbai airport at 8:30 am. They were second in the queue. The staff was super slow. Their turn came after almost 40 mins.
                  The staff took their own sweet time to go through the documents. All other documents were good except for the covid report.
                  Unfortunately they had handwritten covid report with the stamp provided by the hospital which by the way is in the list of accredited hospitals. The ground staff rejected the report saying it is handwritten and is not valid for boarding and they want it in pdf format perhaps in mail or whatsapp. My parents understood the issue and quickly called the hospital to send the pdf. They sent the report on my parent's phone. At this time they had already lost 45 mins though they were standing in the line since 8:30 am.
                  Once the AI staff saw the report after attending to other customers (already 11:00 am), they again rejected the report saying it does not have DOB and passport details and the hospital should send the report. All this while they made my father go from window to window to get things done, not sure what. Instead of helping them, the ground staff were in groups chit chatting, giggling and wasting precious time. Nobody was explaining them what to do.
                  Main point is the staff themselves didn't know what exactly is required. They were not confident themselves as to what they need. This is bizarre.
                  After all the time wasting session, finally they said, we can't help you, the counter is closed.
                  My parents couldn't board the flight just because of the inefficiency and lack of knowledge of the ground staff. Moreover, they were charged "No Show" penalty of 12600 INR and to move the ticket.
                  Had the staff been clear in the first go what all they need on the report, my parents could have boarded the flight.
                  And with making ticket open (which was the only option) we again had to pay hefty amount.
                  I want to raise a serious complaint against the AI ground staff to put my parents who are senior citizens (65+) and the family through so much pain and agony. We demand compensation for the same (all the money we lost). Just because of their inefficiency, my parents are still in India and couldn't reach me yet because of the lockdown.
                  My baby was born in April end and I had to deal all by myself and suffer alone just because the ground staff was so inefficient.
                  As I had to take care of a young baby all by myself, didn't get time to raise a complaint.

                  Hope somebody looks at this very seriously.

                    Hi,

                    This is in regards to Air India Flight (Booking Reference Number : JKH26)

                    I did cancel the booking after multiple attempts in trying to reach the Air India customer care and there was no proper response. I was planning on postponing/rescheduling the booking initially but had no luck in connecting with the customer service and there was no option of rescheduling the booking on the website either. I wish the service could have been much better.

                    I had to spend almost 5-6 hours of my time to just connect to the customer service, starting with long wait which is acceptable based on the volume of calls, calls get disconnected for no reason during the waiting period, luckily even if the calls get connected after the long wait the customer service people either disconnect the call as soon as they pick up or no proper response from them or they say I have to be transferred to different department who has the authority to reschedule and waiting period starts again, where the calls again disconnect for no reason. This was repeated for almost 6hours which really doesn't make any sense. So far in reality a client should be going through such a process to reschedule the booking. "Wooh kudos to Air India Customer Service!!!"

                    After going through all this process my concerned is about the refund amount after cancellation;
                    - How long should I be waiting for the refunded amount
                    - How much follow up do I need to do
                    - Infact would the amount even be refunded in the first place...etc

                    Based on a few reviews from my friends, they were never refunded their amount after cancellation, I hope it's not the same case here too. "If it's the same here I would be dealing legally".

                      I have cancelled Air India ticket from Patna to Delhi for flight no 408 (travel date 14th Nov) on 11th Oct, which was booked directly from Air India website. I have not received refund till 19th Nov, i have also visited pune airport Air india office twice on 2nd nov and 14th nov then also its not resolved. based on pune airport office recommendation i also visited Pune city office on 15th Nov but no result. i have also raised feedback twice vide WB-DDEL[protected] & WB-DPNQ[protected] but there is no reponse. i have also sent mail to [protected]@airindia.in & [protected]@airindia.in but there is no reponse, please help in getting my refund.

                                Hi,
                                I Anisha Kizhakkepatt, had booked a ticket in Air India from San Francisco to Bangalore on July 2021. The airlines had postponed the travel date due to which I was unable to travel. So I had to cancel my ticket and they informed the refund will be initiated soon.                                       This is meena. S. I have booked a Air India flight, on 15 th november 2021 at 3.00pm for 23rd November 2021 8.45A.M from London heathrow Airport to Chennai Airport. I have paid the amount of £669 via Barclays bank, it is showing that the payment is successful and the said amount has been deducted from my bank account but I have neither received any information regarding the booking status or PNR or E-ticket on my mail nor in my mobile number which I provided while booking.

                                      I request you to please look into this matter and resolve this issue at the earliest.

Due to the COVID situation we were unable to do so and I was informed by a representative from the Milan office that I could exchange these flights due to the COVID situation. However, due to the current situation, we will be not be able to fly before the deadline of 31 December 2021.

                                        Therefore, as we have no other option, I'd like to request a refund. I tried to enter our details on the "Manage Booking" section but the booking was not recognised. Please advise on the steps needed to obtain a refund.
