I had booked my tickets with Air India back in May, Later the flight was cancelled due to covid and my ticket was put in open status. Now I wanted to rebook my flights for December, tried calling Air India a lot with no response. Every time after an hour a customer service executive picks up the call, gathers all the information and then transfers you to some other department which is never picked up and hung up at the end. After frequent attempts to reach air India customer care with no response, I had to book my ticket separately with another airline. Air India is now not even ready to refund my ticket and pay back the 900 dollars that they have kept illegally. This has been a terrible experience for me with such a big airline. Many people are stuck in the same situation, some action should be taken against air India for preying on people's hard-earned money. Neither I can use my ticket to book my return nor they will refund me, how can they do that to a customer?, Now I dont want to book my tickets with Air India and need complete refund.

      I booked the attach ticket for my father-in-law on 19 Apr 2021 but later cancelled it the same day with the help of the contact center/ customer support. WE ARE WAITING FOR THE REFUND of INR 62, 174 FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS NOW. PLEASE HELP US RECEIVE OUR REFUND AT THE EARLIEST.         I traveled from EWR(USA) to BANGALORE on 29th. I collected my check in bags in Delhi airport and checked it again after customs for my next flight to Bangalore. While I was boarding flight to Bangalore, air India representative scanned my boarding pass and told me that my bag is stuck at level 4 in Delhi and asked me to fill out an address in Bangalore and also to submit a form in Bangalore airport for baggage claim and told me that bag will be sent in next day and will be delivered to me in the next 24 hours. I reached Bangalore and submitted the form and waited for more than 60 hours now.

        I called customer service multiple times and spoke to few different representatives and they did not provide me any update other than it’s still in tracing. They even blocked my number now I had to call using a different number to get it answered. This is very frustrating as I am here for my marriage and have my new clothes and gifts are in the bag and getting reckless replies every time

        this is pathetic customer service and very irresponsible behavior to block numbers. Also, If they already found issue with my bag before boarding, i really don’t understand what is there to trace.

        I request to please take this concern seriously and help me get my baggage as soon as possible.

          I booked tickets for my parents (Reghuraman GopalaIyer & Santhagowri Swaminathan) to travel to India (JFK-New Delhi, India - Coimbatore, India) on
          23 Mar-2020, through CheapOAir from Air India. There
          are two passengers with the trip consisting of two
          legs, first leg from JFK to New Delhi and the second leg
          from New Delhi to Coimbatore.


          Starting that week of March 2020, flights to India were
          cancelled due to the pandemic. Booking agency & Air
          India mentioned through a support phone call that
          those credits will be issued for us to use till the end of
          2021. Eventhough, they were not going to reimburse
          the money, the credit was supposed to be given to the
          passengers to use it. When I called them earlier this year (2021) in Februrary, CheapOAir mentioned that Air India has marked the second leg for one passenger flown and therefore they can’t reissue the credit for our travel. They asked me to call Air India to resolve it by myself. I called Air India in February, 2021 after spending about 5 hrs being on hold or the call getting dropped off midway and the representative mentioned that he will remove the ‘flown’ status (since it was a computer glitch). So, I called CheapOAir again in October to book the tickets for my parents. They again said the same issue. I again reached out to AirIndia, they admitted that it was a glitch but every time they begin to look for a flight to travel, the call gets disconnected. I spent an average of 6 hrs with them on October 22nd night. It was hard to reach anyone if I were to reach before they can do something the call got dropped. I called Cheapoair again and explained them the situation since I bought the tickets through them. The representative put me on hold to be on on hold with Air India. After an hour he mentioned that he will call me after talking to Air India. I never received the call back from them so I again called CheapOAir and they said Air India dropped the call on them as well and if I need a refund I just to have to call Air India and resolve it myself. At this point I have spent over 15 hours on phone between CheapOAIr and Air India.

          Air India customer support line are extremely long wait and finally when you get someone on line, they are not helpful or the call gets dropped. They have no provision to call us back and do not resolve the issue.

          I already have booked the tickets to my parents since they have to travel and Air India hasn’t been helpful.
          I am here with attaching the ticket information for your reference. Air India can run the booking number to get the history on this itinerary.
          I request you to refund the money to my credit card account on which they charged me.

                Hello,

                I took an Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago on 20th November 2021. Out of 4 bags, one of my bags was missing and I was told it would arrive in 2 days but I haven't received it yet.

                I have not received any emails or phone calls regarding this, Can you please let me know when I can expect to receive my bag. I am currently without any clothes because of the missing and it is causing me great inconvenience.

                  I had cancelled my Airindia flight (dated 1st may and return 15th may) on 25th april 2021 as it was getting reschedule due to covid . And through customer care executive it was cancelled. I was told that in 15 days refund will be processed and its been more than 6 months, we haven't received refund. Called customer care 5 times and sent emails to e-commerce and they say its under process. Kindly look through this issue asap refund amount is 28000.

                    For the flight cancelled on 18/07/2021 from Heathrow to hyderabad
                    I contacted several times but not quick action yet
                    Its been 4 months and no refund yet made, I have also emailed ecommerce but no response yet
                    This is really frustrating as there is no proper communication or service provision from customer care side

                      Hello I am anusha kumar i am a student I. France last July I wished to visit my family so I booked a ticket to Bangalore from Paris with Air India. I had booked a flight for 18-july-2021 but I had made a mistake in writing my name I had written Anusha "Kmar" instead of "Kumar". I tried to correct it in less than a minute but I was not able to make it. Later I had a phone call with a customer care executive and he told me to cancel the current ticket and boom another ticket and when asked would I receive a refund he told me yes. So I did. My refund amount was "605€" It's been months I didn't get my refund I am still waiting. I had tried calling air India for more than months to solve the problem but no positive response.
                      Hope at least you can solve this problem

                        Hi This is Tushar Jule,

                        I am a professional singer, today on 28th Nov 2021 I had booked a flight from Hyderabad to Mumbai with Airindia flight no AI616 but it got Cancelled a day prior. I did not receive any message regarding the same and I have a team of 6 to 8 people travelling with me. I had to book new tickets for all of them with Indigo flight no 6E132.
                        I had another show to perform in the morning in mumbai for which I am delayed and wont be able to do so.
                        I demand a compensation of Rs Three Lakhs Only my professional performance fee and an amount of Rs Fifty Thousand which I have spent to book the new tickets for me and my team.

                          I have been calling Air India at[protected] to purchase some seats for having more leg room for my parents. They keep forwarding the call to another ticketing department to assign preferred seats, but there was never a response even after wait times longer than an hour. The call gets redirected to the same number above after every one hour waiting and they keep forwarding the call again to the so called ticketing department. I called them again and again and let them know that there has not been any response from the number they are forwarding my calls. But, they never responded differently, they only keep forwarding the calls saying that it is another department that does the seat assignment/purchase job.

                            Hi, flew Delhi to Chicago on 11/22/2021. One of my luggage was missing and was told that air India never loaded from Delhi. On that day there are 20-30 more passengers similar plight. Filed claim and was told that they will send the baggage in 72 hrs. Nothing so far and it’s been 5 days. No one picks up the customer service call or does not know how to route the call. It’s really frustrating to miss luggage with lot of stuff and memories and everything. Also went to Chicago airport to check but no response. Such ineptitude and unbelievable arrogance at customer’s valuable.

                                I booked the following tickets for Air India Flight No. AI 0868 for 24Nov2021 for DEL-BOM sector for my son, daughter-in-law & grandson:-

                                Passanger's Names: BATRA/SAURABHMR, TOKLE/TANUSHREEMS & BATRA/SHRAYMSTR (3 YEARS OLD).
                                FLIGHT NO. : AI 0868 AIR INDIA
                                DATE OF JOURNEY : 24 NOV. 2021
                                SECTOR : DELHI - MUMBAI
                                E TICKET NOS. :[protected]C1,[protected]C1 &[protected]C1 RESPECTIVELY.
                                DEPARTURE TIME: 17.50
                                After booking the above tickets I booked for the paid seats and paid Rs. 900/- (Rs. 350/- + Rs. 350/- + Rs.200/-) through my personal credit card. And accordingly seats Nos. 19H, 19J & 19K were allotted for the above said passengers.
                                However, while doing the web check in seats nos. 19H, 19J & 23H were shown on the boarding passes.
                                I called the customer care number and the Customer Care Executive expressed his complete helplessness in the matter and advised us to approach the check in counter at the airport. The Executive at the check in counter also expressed his helplessness and informed us that this unsavory and chaotic situation has occured due to sudden change of plane.
                                Members of my family thus suffered and struggled for this huge inconvenience with a small kid of 3 years old. This all was due to gross deficiency of service on the part of Air India and complete apathy and indifference on the part of its executives who took no pains to help us.
                                E Tickets, Payment receipts for Paid seats, Sheet showing allotted seats numbers and Boarding Passes are available with us and you please let me know how to send them to you, if required.
                                Kindly refund the amount of Rs. 900/- paid by me for the paid seats and also pay the adequate & commensurate compensation for the huge inconvenience and struggle suffered/ faced by members of my family for no fault of ours and for the gross deficiency in service on the part of Air India.

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam,
                                  I had purchased 2 tickets (for self and my spouse) on 18/04/2021 online through travel agency "Bravofly"(lastminute.com) for my onward journey on 22/06/2021 from Bhubaneswar to JFK (New York) and return journey on 19/12/2021 from EWR (New York) to Bhubaneswar. I had paid Rs.1, 62, 795.89 (Rupees One Lac Sixty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety Five and paise Eighty Nine), as the booking amount for the tickets.Our booking reference No. is Y8Y57 (Eticket #[protected] / 640). I have also booked (Reservation) seats for our journeys (both sides) directly through Air India web site on the same date (18/04/2021) on payment of Rs21, 408 (Rupees TwentyOne Thousand Four Hundred Eight) @ Rs.10, 704/- per person .On 22/06/2021 we were denied "Boarding Pass" at Bhubaneswar Airport with the plea of restrictions imposed by USA Authorities on travel of B1/B2 "Visa" holders due to COVID 19. Being denied and Virtually driven out of the BBI airport, I had reported the matter to my travel agent and also Air India customer care about the matter and requested for extension of our flight schedule or refund of full amount as we had no fault in the matter rather we were disaalowed by the "Flight Operator i.e. Air India". I have been contacting the travel agent who has been assuring to do the needful as and when allowed by flight operator. I have been also writing to Air India customer care several times in this regard without any result. I request you to kindly take immediate steps in this regard for deferment/ reschedule of flight itinerary i.e. onward journey from Bubaneswar to New York during the month of April, 2022 and return journey during December, 2022. If rescheduling of flight itinerary can not be done then total amount paid by me for booking of journey tickets and seat reservation charges i.e. Rs.1, 84, 203/- (Rupees One lac Eighty Four Thousand Two Hundred Three) may please be refunded to me through net banking to my account in State Bank of India. I may please be informed on the matter at an earliest date.

                                    On 16th October, I tried to book AI 164 for 6th November in the name o[censored]rmita Das. The online booking failed after payment was confirmed and I did not receive any PNR or confirmation. I later found the failed PNR HQVXX when I called customer care. The money was debited from my account and currently I am chasing AirIndia for refund to no avail. I have tried contacting AirIndia customer care however they have not helped. Moreover they deny receiving any payment. Your nodal officer's email address bounce back. I have sent emails showing the screenshots of failed transaction and my bank statement several times but have not heard back. I understand that when a transaction fails, usually any payment is automatically reverted back however in this case this hasnt happened yet. Can you help me?

                                      Money debited from account but no ticket, confirmation or PNR issued

                                      I recently booked a round trip ticket worth ₹1, 60, 457 for Delhi to Vancouver, I paid through HDFC bank netbanking, the transaction was successful and money was debited from my account but on redirection back to Air India website it showed an error and no ticket confirmation or PNR was issued.

                                      International flight from LHR to MAA on 23 Nov 2021 delayed by 7 hours with no prior notification. Ground staff at LHR in passing only mentioned the delay of the flight. No explanation, apology or empathy. Just a food voucher to keep passengers confused.

                                      Upon arrival at MAA passengers advised baggage had not arrived.

                                      Full refund and compensation required for extreme stress and dissatisfaction of all Air India service.
