Hello Air India General Manager We had flight on 13 Aug 2014 from JFK, New York to Delhi and was cancelled due to technical fault in plane. Air India informed us just few minutes before departure . So there was large passenger gathering in front of Air India counters and mess was there . All the passengers were angry over the staff as they could not control such situation even after 1 hour later. Then we tried to get in touch with supervisor. I met supervisor named Mr. Rubel who was there that time so when we interacted with him he is so rude and non sympathetic to fellow Indians . I asked many times regarding flight and arrangement made by you then Mr. Rubel replied Un satisfactory and then start misbehaving with us. He is very irresponsible super or manager who does not even to talk with passenger. Being a indian I request Air India bosses to fire Mr. Rubel to avoid further Air India image. Mr. Rubel is non co- operative and hopeless supervisor so plz remove him immediately . I tried to get other Air India staff views regarding Mr. Rubel and most of them said negative about him. Plz go for screening and get fired these kind of employees from India, s only Airliner. Thanks

    My things are stolen while transporting by air india. This gentleman sitting at chandigarh as i dont know as what, Mr Minhas, has the audacity to shout at me when enquiring about my stolen items. He is trying to give me sermons as to i should have carried it as cabin baggage as it was only 11 kgs. Will somebody tell me who is this fellow to trouble me further after shameless act by his counterparts if i may say so. this fellow instead of helping me disconnected the phone without listening to my grievence. i called him because the day my luggage was stolen and complaint was logged, this fellow was not there at the airport and unfortunately i was given his number to clarify further stance . i think he sits at the air india chandigarh as manager. i would like to question all if this is the attitude of the servants of airindia for their customers. i am a defence officer and the current policy binds me to travel with this carrier else i would not even in my dreams travel with this utter unprofessional carrier. my things are stolen instead of helping me and trying to resolve the problem you try to blame the customer only. i request a stern action against this felow Mr Minhas to be taken. he should be taught that the customers also hold some office and may be higher than his. he should have some decency and should be taught how to converse with the customers. air india is not doing any favour by transporting us. we are paying for it and paying much more than other carriers. i am sorry to say the attitude of the staff is highly unprofessional. thanking you and hoping for a positive approach to enhance the national carrier of our country now a star alliance member.

      I, Ankush Sudyal travelled by AI852 from Pune to Delhi on 14 Aug 14. My baggage was misplaced by air india. I went to baggage counter at New Delhi airport and enquired. They told me to register a complain and asked me where I would like my baggage to be delivered as they had no clue about my baggage at that time. I filed the complaint and asked them to deliver the bag at chandigarh. I asked them about the time required for recovery of my bag, to which I was told the next day i.e. by 15 Aug 14, my bag would come to chandigarh. However there was no luck on 15 Aug14 as they could only spot my baggage in patna on 15 evening. I asked them so they (delhi baggae office) told that my baggae would reach the next day i.e. on 16 Aug 14. My bag arrived at chandigarh airport on 16 Aug14 by AirIndia. I collected my bag, did the formalities and left. I wanted my charger to charge my phone, so i opened my bag and found my charger missing. On further checking i found things stolen from my bag.details are as follows: a) Samsung notebook with charger in black bag b) Apple 4s brand new packed with all accesorries c) Nokia c-5 (old) d) charger and ear phones i immidiately informed the chandigarh air india authorities and logged a complian in form of personal application and all other evidences like the seal on bag etc. i have logged an FIR with chandigarh sector 31 police station. further i would like to inform you that my bag was deliberately opened and tampered and thorougly checked by the thief and electronics stolen. i am saying this because it had two envelopes packed which were opened, checked and left in the baggage. one was a rakhi and another a new ATM card without pin. i would request you to kindly intervene in this matter and help me recover my valuables at the earliest. i am a serving defence officer and my laptop may contain sensitive data. so it is an urgent matter to be dealt with and recover the stolen items at the earliest. This whole episode has a big security lapse shown on part of Air India. the matter should be dealt with urgency and a stern action must be taken against all defaulters starting with the staff putting a wrong tag on my bag in pune airport.

          Hello, I, Shubhankar Chakravorty, had visited Kolkata on July 29 for my grandmother's death by Indigo flight 6E-433. I returned to Bangalore on Aug. 2 around 20.20 from Kolkata, on Air India flight AI-771, but my luggage (a yellow and gray Wildcraft backpack with no provision to lock) didn't reach. I had my clothes, toiletries, food - usual stuff in it, along with a folder with all my degrees, certificates, very vital documents, contracts, passport, pan-card, debit cards in it, basically everything about my existence so far and Rs 19, 000 cash. Air India couldn't trace the bag for four hours, during which I waited at the airport after filing my complaint, because my house key was in my bag as well and not being originally from Bangalore I had nowhere else to go. Air India did offer me Rs 2, 000 compensation but there is no hotel within 5 km radius of the airport, so I had to stay back. At about 00.50 on Aug. 3, Air India ground staff, Mr Naveen, informed me that the bag has been located in Chennai airport. He assured me I'll get it my bag earliest on Sunday, Aug. 3 morning and it'd be couriered to my house. On that assurance I left to stay at a colleagues place. When I received my bag at about 11.50 on Aug. 3, it was delivered sealed in a plastic bag, when I opened it, the sticker on the bag's clip was broken, the order in which I had arranged my stuff was altered, my pan card and debit cards were lying inside my bag, out from the file where I keep it. And my file had all the other documents were there but the Rs 19, 000 cash - 36 Rs 500 notes and one Rs 1, 000 note - was missing. On contacting Air India on phone, they refuse to take charge telling me it was my fault that I kept valuables in check-in luggage. A certain Ms Chitra from Air India ground staff at Bangalore airport asked me what is the proof that I had Rs 19, 000 cash in my bag and there's nothing they can do, I have signed and received my luggage and their duty was done. I have never felt more cheated in my life and to top it all being accused of lying by Air India staff about the existence of money in my bag. Now their phone is either busy or is not picked by the person I believe in duty, Mr Nitin. On Aug 3 afternoon, Mr Nitin kept showing me I haven't mentioned "cash" while filing missing baggage complaint on Aug 2 evening. While fact remains I repeatedly told Mr Naveen, that there's Rs 19, 000 cash in the bag on Aug. 2 evening. I had to make Mr Naveen tell Mr Nitin that I indeed told him I had Rs 19, 000 cash in my bag. The Mr Nitin asked me if the flight was on Aug. 2 evening or Aug. 1 evening. What is this? I request you Sir, please immediately action into it by Air India authority. I understand Air India advises very clearly to not carry valuables in check-in luggage, but it also claims that no employees would ever open personal baggage, besides delivering the luggage on right time to the right destination. Air India needs to understand that I carrying valuables in check-in bag, as long as it's legal, is not a violation of law or any rules, but what in fact is a violation is opening the bag and stealing from it. In fact it's a crime punishable by law in India. Not to forget to send the luggage to a random destination unaccompanied by a passenger is a serious violation of airline safety and law. I've already filed a police complaint and shall have to take necessary legal action to resolve the matter. My Air India complaint no.: BLRAI 32906

              Sub : Regarding The Missing Valuable Items from the Baggage. Dear Sir/Madam I Was travelling from London to Delhi from the Air India Flight (AI 116) and then a Domestic Air India Flight (AI 560) to Hyderabad. When I arrived at Hyderabad Airport I found one of my baggage was not arrived and I reported about the missing bag (PIR report) and the person on the desk said i will received it by evening on the same day, although i haven't received on that day but received the next day in morning. After receiving the bag I found the lock been tampered and there were some valuable items were missing. There was an IPHONE 4S along with Three cables and 2 I phone Chargers, Belt, Ladies goggles and a GENTS WATCH. Kindly please look into this matter urgently. Much Appreciated. Mohammed Arif Note: This morning when I received the bag i received it from a private delivery van.

                  I booked flight No. AI 349 dated 28th July 2014 from Delhi to Mumbai. I booked this early flight due to some urgent work in mumbai. I left for airport at around 1:00 AM from my residence after confirming flight timings. When i reached airport, i got message that flight is delayed by 4 hours. Since i have to meet somebody at around 7 AM at mumbai, i missed very important meeting.


                  Further we asked for lounge to take rest but officials denied to provide the same. They provided oily and unhealthy breakfast at airport. I am not feeling well due to this torture.


                  On the whole, it was a bad experience travelling with such a reputed airlines of india.


                  As i missed the important meeting with my client my visit to mumbai is waste of time and money, i want refund of my ticket amount.

                    Dear Sir, I booked my ticket from Incheon, Seoul to New delhi through cleartrip in Air india Airlines for 30th June 2014. My Trip ID is [protected], Ticket No. is 098-[protected] & Airline PNR is HX86F. Its very surprising that before go to cancellation, I talked to Customer care of Air India and he told me that amount deducted by airline will ne 1450 (as it is no show case) and they have deducted around Rs 5800 for that flight after cancellation. Please do the needful asap as i have talked many times to customer care and their response is not good this time. hoping for some positive response. Thanks ajay jain

                        Dear sir, I booked one ticket to "Mr. Shihas Palakkadan Basheer" through my credit card. Same date he can't travel with air line. I requested refund air ticket tax amount to my credit card on last month. "Booking Ref: A5NLNO", Passenger Name: "Shihas Palakkadan Basheer". After that i sent one mail to SG.[protected]@airindia.in, next day i got replay, We have taken refund action on pnr - A5NLNO, Refunded Inr - 3916.93 Videft- [protected].Refunded amount will be credited to credit card within 3/4 working days. I had this kind of bad experience with your Dubai office in the past as well. I had called for several times & finally a Mallu picked call & started talking in Malayalam!

                            Halo Sir,

                            I am ishaan,
                            i am forwarding this from sharjah.

                            Today I called to Air India airlines office in sharjah near K M tradings, about luggage enquiry.time is about 12.30pm. One fellow Mr shyam has taken the call and his conversation was very bad and illegal to any customer care quality parameters. Also he told he was the manager and put my call in one hour hold. Since we have many employees, it is difficult to accept your service in future if this type of behaviour is going.
                            I hope this mail will help to make at least an enquiry about the matter. And avoid placing such persons in future.

                              To, The customer service department, Dear Sir/Madam, I have travelled Air india express on the 6th of April, 2014, from Pune to Dubai, I was charged an extra amount for my luggage, which is acceptable, though the ground staff were extremely rude, unprofessional in the way they dealt with the situation . It's a shame that this is a national carrier ! There is absolutely no professionalism, no standard, no work ethic, . Mr Arvind in particular a ground staff member led the team and was rude and unprofessional !Ground staff not only require some tough training, , also manners! After the whole experience on ground, the safety and security in flight came as a shock, there were no infant seatbelts used for babies, what would happen in case of turbulence, does Air india really care about the safety of their passengers????? Nothing onboard is upto standard, the food is mediiocre ! Air india needs to do better, this has been farmost the worst experience with rude, substandard staff ! Feedback is great for improvement/change ! Hope there's some passionate person reading these mails, about so many unhappy customers, who'll hopefully bring about that change, india is looking for, waiting to be proud of this nation !!!                                 My FIle reference number is BOMAI99781. I am not getting any response even after 1 week. None of the Baggage service contact numbers are reachable. They are also ringing but no body attend the same. Newark baggage center not even responding to Bombay service center. They are so pathetic and I see this as real harassment. Even the airport in-charge number is always going on voice mail however no call back from them. Such a shameless service they are providing and harassing the customers. I am not sure how I will recover my baggage.How they can be so irresponsible. They are not even responding to emails.

                                  Greetings, Trust the Customer Feedback System of Air India is not in paralysed condition and with the only hope I had no other option in get to catch the attention of the so-called “Your Palace in the Sky” Firstly, to all the other recipients of this mail who are not directly related to Service related complaints, the reason I am marking all of you in this mail, is because I believe, all the probable stakeholders of this Company have a right to know, what sort of Organizational culture you are being associated with. For an airline that takes great pride in calling itself the "Best Airline in India" and also How does a national carrier and such an integral part of a service based industry, would not even care enough how to treat a Senior Citizen Passengers. Trust and sure that I'm absolutely certain that the complaint I've written has not fallen on deaf ears, I will now share the saga that my parents had to go through at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, thanks to the highly proclaimed Indian Airlines Hospitality my parents have received from the employees of the “Best airlines in India”. My parents had decided to travel back to Pennsylvania and had enjoyed their every moment of stay in India until they met your Staff Ms.Farah at counter no.11 in the above said Airport. Here is what happened. My parents who were aged in the mid 65 had been lucky till the time they met your staff Ms.Farah. Everything was going fine. We were just having a regular good family time. We arrived at the airport around 7.00pm local time. That is, around 2 Hours 15 Minutes prior to our scheduled departure time of 9.15pm. This much time is usually sufficient. When we arrived at the airport we realized that there is a long Queue everywhere. Now I don’t blame anyone for this, but it was still fine. Though their age did not permit, my parents able to manage themselves to wait for their turn at boarding pass counter. All the ordeal of waiting in serpentine queue must have vanished if the officer Ms.Farah would have received them with a smile on her face and to their utter surprise she didn’t even lift her head. The so called ”your trained staff “is such a retard that She don’t even know how to communicate with senior citizen passengers and started questioning our parents that why did they come from the next counter, though they have not contacted any of the other counter. She started arguing with them and made strand before the counter for 15 minutes without any valid reason. After 15 minutes, she took their passports and questioning with them for their stay period during their previous visit in U.S. and however this can be clearly known by verifying the stamps of immigration check-in/out of passport holding in her hand. However, my father politely replied about the stay period but she bluntly asked them that their stay period is not valid and their answer seems to be suspicious. My parents, who already losing their body sugar levels by waiting for so long time in the queue got completely broke down when she passes such blunt remark on them. Later on, she got convinced herself by checking the passport pages. Now, it is again the turn of her in accepting the luggage of my parents and this time my parents literally has to plead her to relieve them from the counter, since she does not want to accept the luggage within the permissible limits as per your Terms and Conditions. After much persuasion, she accepted the luggage and handed over the boarding pass. In this entire ordeal they went through it took almost 1.15 hrs for them to take the boarding pass, they were given a feeling of that your staff is against your customers, and not for. This is not how the attitude of the staff of “Best airlines in India” supposed to be. She has made them feel like they had committed a huge criminal offence by travelling in your flight (which was surely a mistake on our side by blocking the tickets at your airlines, still we have many other Private and International airlines). C’mon we are already paying for it in terms of money, efforts, and most importantly ‘time’. The least we expect is basic civilized human to human respect. Seriously, you people ruined our parent’s happy time in India. Suggestion: I noticed that neither were we the only ones to travel by your flight, nor would be the last ones. Instead of making such passengers ( in specific Senior Citizens like my parents) feel like criminals (when they are already feeling exhausted to be stranded before the counter), at least start assisting them in the right direction.                                     I booked air india ticket on 24th June by my debit card amount was 16900 for 25th June from Mumbai to lucknow departure time was 10:30, I checked-in by 9:40 and cleared security check by 9:45 after that I rush to cafeteria for coffee because I was feeling un comfortable due to my thyroid problem, the café bill is showing 10:10 at same time I got a cll from miss sujata AI terminal manager at that time, she asked me where are u -I said in airport she said I know tht u r in airport but right now where r u I said I am in cafeteria on the spot she said "very good we r not taking u" I said no no plesae ma'am i'am coming that tm was 10:12, I ran to the lift for gate no 14teen, I was on the gate by 10:13 but I was informed by staff that you can not go now ur ticket has been cancelled, I asked them why, I requested them so many time but no one was ready to listen me, I said if flight is here please let me go, but they said no, we are taking ur luggage out so wait on up stair and meet miss sujata only she can do something after completing all the formalities I went to meet her she was not on her seat she came after 10:25, i request ed her I am going to attend a function tht why I booked a flight still flight is here plz do something for me let me go, she said sorry just wait out side ur luggage will come, after 10:35 i asked her now can you reschedule my ticket or how much a, oumt I will gey so I can pln something, she said will not get anything now just eait out side ur luggage will come after some time, when I was with her she was calling continously to passenger in same way than I adked her I also got a call in same way menes it was ur call and it was ur decision I showed her call time 10:10then she said it was courtesy call then she showed me my boarding pass you should reach 20mint before your departure time that why your ticket has been cancelled, I said no one inform me for that and there was no anouncement I was not aware there was no anouncement service, no flight status didplay board, finally I got my luggage by 11:30, then went to ticket counter for confirmation tht wll get some cash or not thn after 1hr we get Rs.1100/-, cash and came back, at the end, I missed my function, lost my money, my time, this incident has affected me deeply & I feel humiliated, cheated and duped of my money because of lack of professionalism in air india, our national airline.                                       Even after repated remainder mails, the fare charge of my cancelled air tickets is not yet refunded .Its already more than 6 months since I cancelled my tickets. Every time Iam getting the same reply that the case is forwarded to the concerned department.
                                      Please do the necessary to get my money back.

                                        Flight out of New York on June 4th was canceled last minute (booking reference H081W). I was rerouted via Delhi with a overnight halt at Delhi airport and reached Chennai next day after the overnight halt. I would like to know if Air India has any policy for compensation for causing all this stress and delay. Also noticed that Miles for this trip was not added to my account. I booked Air India, hesitantly. I should have stayed with my long standing policy of not to fly with Air India. Jayanthi
