Airport Authority AIR INDIA Dear Sir/s Sub: Difficulty in recovery of check-in baggage I have been a passenger on your airline for travel from Lucknow to Pune on 11.03.15. My seat number was 29A on flight no. AI 432 from Lucknow to Delhi while I was on seat no. 22A on flight no. AI 849 from Delhi to Pune. I would like to bring on record the fact that I have had harrowing experience in recovery of my check-in baggage containing valuable documents. After long wait at conveyer belt at Pune airport, when I realized that my bag was missing, I reported the matter immediately to authorities trough email and also spoke to them about it. I found the language and tone of the people I spoke to very objectionable. While refusing to accept that there could possibly be a slip on the part of baggage handling staff, I was treated as if I was making a false claim and this is quite unbecoming of the staff of a national carrier. I had to make efforts at personal level by contacting friends and relatives in Lucknow. Through their contacts they could find a person at the airport who helped in tracing my bag to Bangalore. This sure was a slip on the part of AI staff as I had guessed. I wonder whether passengers have to have contacts on personal level at airports, Air India or for that matter DGCA to sort out such problem of routine nature. I hope that you will take appropriate steps to ensure that staff members of AI pay proper attention to genuine problems of passengers and sincerely try to sort them out promptly, satisfactorily and of course courteously. However, I have got my baggage on 17.03.2015 after six days and during the period I constantly worried about my baggage/ documents kept in the baggage. Thank you JAI SRIVASTAVA

    Sir, I am Akansha Kandoi. I had booked two air india return ticket from mumbai to cocin of 24th jan 2015. I had reported 55 minutes early before boarding time. So your manager Subash said he had already sold the tickets to a needy couple. And after that flight got delayed by 15mins. He said that either we can give you evening flights on same ticket or we can give u full refund of Rs.33000. So we prefferd to take refund. He gave us in writing about the same and said that it will take 15days and its been more then a month and there is no reply regarding the same. So I request u to look into the matter and let me know asap.Here in I have attached the copy of the same. Regards.. Akansha Kandoi.

      Hi, I was a passenger in the Air India express(IX 474) on 27th Feb 2015 from Bahrain to cochin.After getting on the flight, one of the cabin crew took my hand bag from me, for the reason for finding space even if I told him want to keep it with me. He assured me it will be safe with him.When i asked about my hand bag the cabin crew told its been moved to the luggage and i have to just collect it from luggage collection area of Cochin airport. As my valuables were in baggage i was worried for moving my bag to luggage's. I did't found my bag in the Cochin baggage collection area.I filed a complain about my lost hand bag with the tag proof. They told they will find the bag and will contact me ASAP. Even after I called several times, they didn't help me finding it.         I have been cancelled my wife's return flight ticket from Tiruchirapalli to Singapore, date of travel on 16 November 2014. After successful cancellation, I haven't get refund amount until now. I have been called numerous times to theirs customer service and customer support numbers from singapore, but no one can solve this issue. They keep saying that they will forward this issue to the relevant authority and I am being asked call them back 2 or 3 days later. When I am calling again, they are saying the same. I am fed up of choosing this ******* airline. I had sent so many emails with attached copy of my PNR PV7EI1 also couldn't get a single reply from theirs side. Please help me out this issue.

          I had my flight from New Delhi to Lucknow on 14 Feb 2015 (AI 811). For boarding, I was going to T-3 but just to confirm, i called up the Air India customer care number[protected] n inquired for departure terminal. The female exec. said that departure terminal for my flight was 1-D. I asked her to cross check it once again as i was doubtful of Air India to depart from 1-D but she confidently asked me redirect to 1D from on-my-way to T3. On her advice, I reached 1-D just to find no Air India departure terminal there. Airport officials at 1D asked me to rush to T3. I again called up AI CC exec. n this time the female exec. confirmed T3 as my departure terminal. This unnecessary to-n-fro travel to 1-D terminal wasted more than 45 minutes. I reached T3 but realized that boarding for the flight had closed 5 minutes back. I told the officials everything that had happened and requested them to let me board the flight but they paid no heed and instead displayed rude behavior, especially the counter manager. I lodged a complaint about it but the AI assistance exec. shamelessly assured me no action over it! I had booked my return ticket as well which also got wasted. To Dubai .I Have Reserved as NSSB-FRONT RAW SEAT, SEAT NO:1 A. But your cabin crew informed her to go back to second raw, so I need to know the reason why she has been send to back second row ?               I travelled with the Air India flight (AI 130) from London (Heathrow) to Mumbai (India) on 22 January 2015. The flight was scheduled to depart from London at 13:30 on 22 January 2015 and reach India on 23 Jan 2015 at 4 am. However, the flight arrived at 5.40 pm to Mumbai on 23rd Jan 2015 with a considerable delay of almost 14 hours. Moreover the entire experience and the response of air India was shocking and painful causing personal, financial and physical loss. We departed from London at 13.30 on 22 January 2015. Within sometime (around one hour) suddenly our TV screens went off, lights went off and there was a weird sound inside the flight. Within 5 minutes the pilot announced that there is some issue and the flight would be emergency landing at Budapest airport. Even after repeatedly asking the crew about the exact situation and the reason behind emergency landing there was no adequate response from the crew. We were just told that we might have to stay the night in the hotel at Budapest organized by air India and that they were not aware of anything else. Within few minutes we landed at Budapest airport. Soon after, the aircraft was vacated (about 6 pm – Budapest time) and passengers were instructed to move out. We were asked to sit in the lobby and wait for further instructions. We kept waiting at the airport sitting area but received no information from Air India crew. There was hardly any food available at Budapest airport and the outlets did not even accept cards and most currencies. Most passengers had no money to buy food or even water from the airport. When few passengers started getting hungry and sick that they made some noise, and asked Budapest airport authorities to contact air India crew and provide some food. Till then, we did not hear at all from Air India. Finally after few hours of waiting we were given some food by Budapest airport authorities which was also not satisfactory. Finally we were told that flights are arriving from other destinations which would take us to Delhi (contrary to our port of arrival i.e. Mumbai) and we would depart from Budapest airport at 11.30 pm (Budapest time). After few hours we were told that there are two flights coming from different locations and they would take us to Mumbai. No information was given about our baggage. Finally we were told to queue at 1 am (Budapest time) to start our departing procedure. We were taken inside some other air India flight (AI 140 or 142) by 1.45 pm and finally we departed from Budapest airport by 2pm (Budapest time). Still no information was given to us about how are baggage would be adjusted and why we were made to wait at the Budapest airport for almost 9-10 hours and not provided hotel accommodation (as promised earlier). The wait at the airport was painful without any adequate notice and reason. We finally reached Mumbai at 5.40 pm (contrary to our scheduled arrival of 4am) on 23rd January 2015. Not only did I miss out on important personal commitments due to the unreasonable delay, but continue to suffer from back and neck pain as the airline could not even provide us comfortable arrangements (hotel or otherwise) at the Budapest airport, where the flight landed in between. I am frequent flyer with Air India (Membership no – AI[protected]. The Air India’s reaction and response with this entire situation was shocking and forced me to write this complaint and request for refund of the entire cost of the tickets and damages. Air India should have been considerate enough to compensate their passengers for this loss itself. However, in view of their negligence, I am writing this complaint.                   22nd January, 2015 VERY SERIOUS MATTER M/s. Air India Express Abu Dhabi Attn: The Customer Service Manager Sub: Disrespectful way of dealing with the important customers Dear Sir, I would like to invoke your kind attention in the following matter as well as expressing my extreme grievances for an immediate action. 1) Please be informed that I am a regular traveler in Air India Express from Gulf for the past 15 years continuously and I did not notice such a rude behavior from your counter staff. 2) Myself were boarding Air India Express flight No. IX- 538 under Reservation Confirmation No. QQ62F3 on 21.01.2015 from Abu Dhabi to Trivandrum. 3) When I approached the Check in Counter at Abu Dhabi International Airport, your counter staff informed very roughly that your luggage weight is over and you have to remove 3 Kg. After removing the overweight, your staff informed me to go away from the boarding counter and she is acting like a roaring lion with the customers. I have informed that I am going with cancellation and she doesn’t want to listen anything from me and behaving like I am begging with her for my boarding pass. 4) Furthermore, I was shocked and surprised that though I have paid for the ticket by cash and asking like beggars for the boarding pass and they treated me in an awful manner which is not tolerable at all. 5) When I am politely speaking to her, she replied in an arrogant and disrespectful manner and uttered to me “Finish we can’t do anything”, which is completely annoying. 6) I requested her once again that I would like to meet the Manager regarding this, immediately she informed that “I am the Manager and there is nobody else” and she immediately shouted on me and telling that you cannot go with Air India express at all. 7) In my presence, one of the travelers who are also travelling with the same flight, they are also treating same like beggars. I regret to inform you that her behavior towards me was in an arrogant way and disrespectful manner which is not even satisfied by her other colleagues at the counter, which is noticed by me personally. The disrespectful behavior shown by her is not only against the Vision of Air India, but even against the business policy as well as ethical principles of reputable Airlines. It was exasperating for a regular traveler like me and I did not expect such a ghastly experience in my travel history with any Airline and this is the first time I am facing such an impolite manner from Air India Express. At the outset of the above juncture, I would once again request your kind intervention to look over the above incident very seriously and take a suitable action against her, those who are not keeping the good gesture with Customers. I hope you will understand the above situation and look forward for kind cooperation and intervention to look over the above case.                     Dear Officer, I’ve checked my Credit card statement, the amount RM 1, 246.84 haven’t refund yet. Booking number: QNTACM 5th Jan 15 - I’ve sent below email last week but there is no reply. 7th Jan 15 - I’ve called call centre said, the money will refund within 3 – 7 working days from date cancellation. 12th Jan 15 - I’ve called again the call centre and the officer said, the refund amount already approved also he said to send email to [protected]@airindiaexpress.in and attached the cancellation ticket. Kindly please take serious note of my case because the credit card interest charges are more higher

                      1. On 20th December 2014 - I flew AI301 from Sydney to Delhi. When I arrived in Delhi, I found my bag damaged. It wouldn't stay upright and became useless. I had to buy a bag to carry clothes in. It cost me 8300 INR. I had written to Air India over several pages via online but haven't received a response. 2. On the 1st of Jan 2015 - I flew from Varnarsi to Goa. Flight AI696 was scheduled to fly at 1125 hours. It was a connected flight from Mumbai. The AirIndia flight from Varnarsi got delayed and at bombay we were transferred by bus to the flight to Goa. On arrival at Goa, we found out that my baggage hasn't arrived. I had to stay without my stomach medication and oral hygiene and sanitary items. On 2nd I had to buy oral and sanitary products in Goa but I couldn't get stomach medicine. As a result I got sick and vomited a lot on 2nd and then couldn't eat food the whole day and nite of 2nd Jan 3. On 8th Jan 2015, flight AI866 was supposed to depart Bombay at 0900. Due to engineering it did not take the trip. Later they said that at 0700 they had known of the fault in plane. They should have arranged another flight because there were some o[censored]s who had connecting flights. Mine was due to depart at 1300 from Delhi to Melbourne. Flight AI302. I got delayed from Mumbai. Thus missed the AI302. As a result I had to stay one more night. This caused me loss in one days work and salary. I was scheduled to arrive in Auckland on 9th and start work on 10th. That couldn't be done due to Air India's negligence and delay in the beginning at Mumbai. I require Air India to take responsibility and compensate for the inconvenience and loss of salary plus damaged baggage. I had booked an online ticket for my journey of 11 Jan 2015 from Chennai to Delhi on 10 Jan 2015 at 0915 Hrs. I had paid an amoumt of Rs 9880 using online Bank Transfer option through State Bank of India. The ref No for transaction is BSBI[protected]IGOOKUHKI1. As per my Bank transaction details this amount has been transferred to account No[protected]. After payment the online ticket was not generated. 3. So I had paid the ticket amount without an air ticket being generated. I spoke to your customer Care department and was suggested by them to write an email to this account to get refund of deducted amount. 4. The mobile No given during the booking was [protected] and email id was [protected]@gmail.com 5. In view of this it is requested that the deducted amount of Rs 9880/- may be refunded. 6.                           Hi Team, I had lost my 2 baggages while travelling along with my family on Air India International Flight from London to Hyderabad (Via Delhi) on 1st June 2014..I was travelling back to Hyderabad on behalf of my employer Tata Consultancy Limited (TCS). I had raised lost baggage request at Hyderabad (File no - 44981 ) TICKET NUMBER : ETKT 098 [protected] Flight details - AI 112 from London Heathrow to New Delhi on 31st May AI 126 from New Delhi to Hyderabad on 1st June. I have been following Lost Baggage Hyderabad team and had received mail on 1st August to submit the claim documents (though technically compensation process should have started in 21 days). I had submitted all the required documents, but till now the compensation process is NOT yet complete. Also i am following up to the Lost Baggage Hyderabad team(almost on a daily basis), but i am not getting any proper response. This baggage's being lost on an international travel, ideally the response should have been appropriate to go through the process.But till now i have NOT received a single SMS/CALL/EMAIL regarding status of my compensation process. Its almost around 6 months now, requesting you to please have a look and escalate the process so that i get compensated adequately for my lost belongings as well as un-necessary delay in my approval.                                 Sirs/Madam, I travelled with my family (2A+2C) from COK to SLL via TRV on 1st of Jan.'15. The check-in counter staff (traffic assistant) was not at all behaving good ! She treated us very badly ! I spoke to the airport (IX) manager about this matter but seems there was no use. Flight # IX 403 COK-TRV scheduled dep. at 09:25 on 01.01.2015, but there was delay almost 2 and half hours ! No body was there in the desk to attend our queries. No proper announcement about the delay ! No food or snacks were served at airport and even in the aircraft ! We reached TRV at 12:20 noon till that time. At least they should have provided some snacks at TRV airport ! The same aircraft was used till SLL. However, we all on-boarded passengers to SLL were asked to get out of the aircraft with our hand baggage's with infants/children and simply there was an another screening of our hand baggage's and changes of tag ! Is this formalities really required since the scheduled departures is already delay ?? From TRV to SLL flight # IX 543, they served JUNK food ! The menu was some veg briyani with veg curry ! It was already spoiled ! All o[censored]s vomited especially myself was vomited once get out of the aircraft at destination! As a Indian, it's my wish to travel with India's national carrier! But with this inexperienced staff and the facilities provided us was unforgettable. We really need to rethink about our future travel with this poor serviced airline! I also strongly recommend to my friends and readers of this news, please do not even try to travel this airline anymore! Thanking you, Ka.Radha

                                  My dad needed wheel chair assistance during the travel, and he was given the service by a person at New Delhi Airport as he got off the Plane at New Delhi Airport. As this man was taking my dad towards immigration counter, he told my dad to wait halfway through and left my dad by himself. This man disappeared and didn’t returned for more than 45 minutes, my dad who can barely walk and specially tired after a long 12 hours flight from Sydney had to seek help from people passing though. Luckily some ground staff saw that and arranged for help and finally my dad got through all this mess. Please advise me what actions you are taking against this person who let my dad half way through. I heard a lot about bad service of Air India and have experienced it too. I need to know full details of this man too. Is this the way you treat elderly people, I am sure lot other people should know about this through electronic and social media and should stay away from Air India’s bad services

                                    Hi, On 28 sep, 2014 i took flight from Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport for Fiumicino (Rome), Flight no. AI 123. . When i arrived at ITALY airport (Fiumicino Airport) on 28 SEP. my one luggage was lost. In my bag i have my important documents as well as my summer and winter wears. i also comlaint at FIUMICINO Airport but they didn't respond. Almost three months gone but there is no response from either side. I call almost 5- 6 times a day but they didn't pick my phone. Please email me if you want more details for further process.                                       Hi, I am Nupur Gupta from Hyderabad. I have travelled from Delhi to Hyderabad on 04.12.2014 by Air India Express flight AI 126 from IGIA New Delhi T3. But untill now my luggage is not delivered. I have repeatedly contacted your local office at Hyderabad airport, and even they couldnt confirm when it will be delivered.                                         Respected Sir/Madam,

                                        I am RAJESH ERINJIKKOVIL, booked the Air ticket Round trip SHARJAH - KOZHIKKODE for two persons in the date of[protected] to[protected] on yesterday[protected] through Cleartrip.ae via my Email ID [protected]@yahoo.co.in. The ticket is confirmed and the Trip ID is [protected]. Flight details is Air India Express IX354 SHJ 10:25 - 15:45 CCJ in the date of[protected]. and Air India Express IX351 CCJ 07:05 - 09:35 SHJ in the date of[protected].

                                        During the booking time I entered all the details and Credit card details also, then the cleartrip site showing visa verification process while taken more than 10 minutes. During that time One person contact me from Cleartrip of the number [protected] to My mobile number [protected]. He told me the internet showing some error and he himself continue the booking; and follow the instruction and give the Credit card details through my mobile number [protected].

                                        The ticket is confirmed and I got 2 email of the above mentioned dated Air ticket with same Trip ID from Cleartrip.com. The ticket details and Trip ID is same of both emails and Unfortunately the cash amount AED-2812/- deducted two times. The total deduction amount is AED-5624/- for only One round trip of two persons.

                                        I plead you to cancel one deduction amount of AED-2812/- and please refund in to the same Credit card as soon as you possible. Please do the needful and help me to avoid loosing the money.
