Am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred during my recent journey on Air India Express.

On January 8, 2024, I traveled on I5-741 from Banglore to Srinagar. Unfortunately, upon collecting my checked baggage at the destination, I discovered that my traveling suitcase had been significantly damaged during the journey. It was broken and they had wrapped it in a black plastic bag. The tag number of the suitcase is as follows: SEQ0142, Bag weight: 11kgs. SXR[protected].

Furthermore, my daughter's trophy which was in the suitcase itself was also completely missing. This damage has not only affected the functionality of the suitcase but has also caused inconvenience and distress during my travels.

I understand that unforeseen events can occur, and I appreciate your understanding in addressing this matter promptly. I kindly request that you investigate this incident and take appropriate action to rectify the situation.

In light of the above, I am seeking the following resolutions:

1. Compensation for the damaged suitcase based on its current market value.
2. Assurance that measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future, such as improving baggage handling procedures.

This complaint has already been launched at the Srinagar airport.

    Dear Team Air India Express

    There was a name mistake in the PNR JZQ7YV and I was trying to get this corrected however the same was deny at your end, now when I'm trying to cancel the ticket for " Lakhith Agarwal " and ask for refund there would be cancellation charges of INR 3500 will be levied has been told to me by chatbot Tia.

    I'm also not able to contact any customer care person over the phone to get any help on this matter.

    Please note that as per recent DGCA rules there should not be any cancellation charges if flight is cancelled within 24 hours of booking and journey is not within 7 days of booking,

    Hence my booking qualifies for full refund on cancellation and I would request you to confirm this for the cancellation of one of the tickets in my above booking immediately and also help me with a full refund.

        Time: 5:25hr to 8:35hr
        Delay: 1 hour

        Description:
        When we landed on Cochin airport and collected the baggage. On of my baggage lock was found damaged. I couldn't find any airline staff at the baggage collection belt so, I took the photos (attached below) and waited for the return flight to Delhi to make complaint.

        I also mentioned this issue to airline ground staff when I returned New Delhi airport on 10th Dec. She suggested to make complaint online.

        I would request Air India Express to get my baggage repaired or to provide the money refund for the baggage damage due to mishandling. Because due to faulty zip and lock my bag is not useful.

          Yesterday's onward I am waiting in airport for flight . From Bombay to thiruvananthapuram at 10:15 pm.

          Flight is not confirmed till now. We want compensation for this in convenience . Please give response for this.

            I am Afsal and I live in Muscat oman. I booked 4 tickets to my family flight No IX 714 on[protected] from Muscat to kannur. While boarding time in my luggage she noticed one sticker, Then i changed the box and came back. Unfortunately, that time counter was just closed . 1 hr time is there . I requested many times with that staff because i'm already came before and informed all things, i try to call Duty manager, she also not agreed

            hr time is there for flights, then also they rejected, There is no staff of Air india Express in that area, at same time cochin and calicut boarding for air india Express was going on

            Unfortunately That lady was not helping us. so i took new ticket to Cochin in Same AIrindia express, same time there is no issue in my luggage

            My place in kannur, Due to irresponsibility of Your team my family including my 7 month girl travel to cochin

            Requested your team to provide at least good staff in counters, i realised you dont have direct staff in airport, at lease post one Your own staff if have more than 2 flight on same time

              Delhi to Kochi flight on Dec 3rd scheduled at 4:00 pm is delayed multiple times. First they notify that the flight is delayed by 30 mins at 4.30, then rescheduled to 7.00 pm and then to 7.50 pm and then 8.30 pm. None of the crew members present at the gate. My parents aged 67 and 58 had to go through the turmoil of waiting and getting delayed. They would reach kochi only after midnight. Absolutely no concern shown by the airport staff, they could have shown some attention to the passengers by providing food or atleast water. Pathetic service

                Hi I have booked the flight from Mangalore to bangalore on 26th Nov 23 which was supposed to leave Mangalore around 12.45 pm.You announced delay as 1 hr 1.45 pm dep. AFTER 1.45 pm, again flight delayed to 3 pm. This is very horrible and are you thinking about passenger next trip towards othplace?? Because of you I have canceled the trip from bangalore to other place and around 5000 rs loss for me, also I have to stay back in bangalore, it's very horrible service, if it's like this, why we need to book flight
                We can go by bus

                    I booked flight with AIX for Kolkata to Bangalore at 7:55 in the morning on 21st November. As one of their regular customers, I am a highflyer in Tata Neu membership and so my cancellation charges are zero for any PNR. But, in this case, I paid 7420 while booking (6920 through card and 500 through meal voucher). I have checked 7 days ago and the refund amount was showing to be 6460. now also it is showing the same amount.

                    I tried calling customer care but all in vain. First two customer "happiness" executives told that they are not sure why this is happening and they will arrange a call back within 3 hours, but I did not receive one from them. When I called back after 3.5 hours, the support person said that, she has no idea why this is happening, she can only raise a ticket to the backend team and they will get back to me within 7 hours. But, as all other support teams, I did not receive any communication. When I called again, support person told that as you have the complaint registered and it was assigned in the morning, I can only escalate the request, please give us 2 more hours. And they call themselves customer "happiness" executive and don't know how their systme works.

                    I am not sure what the final outcome will be, but most probably, they will try to drag it beyond 5:55 in the morning so that my whole ticket price is gone or I have to cancel it myself by loosing 500 extra rupees without any explanation about why or what is that charge about. Such a good way to loot money from People, Brilliant Air India Express!!

                      I had the bad experience of flying with Air Asia and Air India express multiple times. Everytime there has been a delay of more than 2 hrs. The Airline conveniently puts the blame on Air Traffic. My experience with the Airline has been on different sectors so the reasoning is just absurd. Everytime the Airline never made any attempt for service recovery. This is really unacceptable when I had paid extra for an early flight planning my day around the timing of the flight. Eventide because of deficiency in service I had to pay the price at the business end. It's high time the Airline is disciplined

                          Delayed flights and not providing alternatives

                          Air india express has delayed my flights by 2h 35min which is affecting my onward journey and they are not ready to provide me other alternatives.

                          I planned my journey 3.5 months advanced and now because of this delay its affecting my journey.

                          I asked for another flight on same day, but their customer care is asking for extra money as delay is less than 3hrs. which I feel is unfair.

                          please help...

                            I had a very bad experience with Air India Express due to the early departure of the booked flight and multiple delays after that.
                            1. I booked my ticket(I1K7WS) from Sharja to Thiruvananthapuram on flight IX536 for confirmed departure
                            at 11 a.m. But when I arrived at the airport at 9.00 am for my departure the airline staff merely informed me that my flight had departed already at 5.30 am on the same day.
                            2. I was shifted to a cheaper hotel of their choice and they isolated me even though my husband tried to stay with me on his own during the night since I was scared to stay in an unknown place. The hotel staff as per the instruction of the airline staff expelled my husband and compelled me to stay alone like a prisoner. I was never treated like a customer but like a prisoner sent by Air India Express.
                            3.My whole family including my husband, two children and my elderly parents have suffered due to this incident. My husband has been mistreated. My children and parents have been put under stress and mental pain expecting my arrival.
                            4. Due to lack of sleep I could not rejoin my organisation to continue my duties where I have to spend 8 hours continuously with high concentration and presence of mind. I am suffering from severe head ache and vomiting which would prevent me performing my full potential.

                            Therefore considering these factors, I would request for a fast resolution for my formal complaint.

                              Dear Sir,
                              I Sri Kishore Chandra Sahoo a disable passenger booked ticket through easymytrip to travel from Lucknow-Bhubaneswar with my escort Sri Babaji Charan Tarai. My PNR was A8YPSK. I had booked Wheel Chair too as I can not walk long distance and problem of climbing stairs. Boarding pass was issued to us at Lucknow for both the sector. The Borading pass copies are enclosed in Annexure-A.
                              Initially the flight was delayed at Lucknow and took off arounf 3 am of 20.10.2023 where as schedule departure was 11 pm of 19.10.2023. The horrible affair starts after landing at Delhi Airport.
                              01. Aircraft grounded at 4.15 and disembark started at 4.25 am.
                              02. No wheelchair was there. Crew members told me to get down and ground staff will provide. After painfully getting down through staircase no wheel chair was available. Only one ground staff was there to handle a good number of transfer passengers to four destination.
                              03. There were about 25/30 passengers to transfer to 4 locations. Bhubaneswar, Kochi and Srinagar. That groung staff told me to board the Bus and further ground staff will guide you. I asked him about wheel chair but he said I don’t have here. Then as no option was there and I was getting late, so I boarded the Bus.
                              04. In spite of huge pain in lower limb I get down at arrival gate . Surprisingly, only one ground staff was there to transfer huge passengers to 4 different destination. He told us to stand there separately destination wise. I again asked for Wheel chair. There was no wheel chair. He called some body and after 8/9 minute one more staff arrived. He was a complete careless fellow. He was just standing and looking for a wheel chair to come. 28 minutes passed for search of wheel chair.
                              05. Ultimately as no wheel chair came, he told me to walk to through security point. I again started walking with a transfer boy and did security check quickly. After security check I again sat there in presence of that helper. Only AIrIndia Express passengers of our batch(25/30 nos) were there. It was completely rush free.
                              06. I waited there for further 20 minutes in want of Wheel chair. Ultimately wheel chair came from arrival side and again waited for security check. After check wheel chair reached with me at 5.27 am.
                              07. The wheelchair boy took me to Boarding gate along with the other helper. By that time we reached gate 44A it was closed and no body was there. All three passengers could not board the flight due to extremely delay to transfer.
                              08. The helper boy repeatedly telephoned the ground staff who send him with me. He picked up phone after repeated call and told him to ask at Gate. AS no body was there, he informed that too. But that ground staff had switched off the phone.
                              09. When I got annoyed, the wheel chair boy took us to a counter and one lady assistant came reluctantly. Then she told CISF personnel and allow us to come out of that. We went a counter at Check-in Point. The person present there started bluffing as if the fault was of ours.
                              10. We explained every thing to four different staffs who asked us every time. As I was having an important meeting at NHAI, Bhubaneswar in which I need to give presentation for progress of targeted development of Infracture development projects, which will be directly reported to MORTH and PMO.
                              11. I approached that lady staff to provide me the flight quickly, so that we can reach quickly Bhubaneswar and attend the meeting. She moved here and there and carelessly replied that we will provide you hotel and give you flight at evening. I urged repeatedly to understand the urgency, but she bluntly denied. Then I insisted to give me the fact in writing. She reluctantly ordered her assistant to write . But when I read the report, it is clearly understood that she wrote the incident completely untrue manner . She just wrote that passenger misconnected due to late arrival of flight and passenger denied to our alternative arrangement.
                              12. Being fedup with this unprofessional and unethical practice, I felt completely harassed. I founf myself two flights (Indigo & Vistara) were there at morning time, so that I can reach by 10.30/11 maximum. Without waiting for further damage, I booked the spot ticket for me and my escort and waited for the staff to bring us out.
                              13. She called some lady staff after 15/20 minutes, who took us to security staff and ultimately I came out. I forcibly walk to the shuttle Bus and went to terminal-1. After all these nonsense activity, I just catched my INDIGO flight at last moment and boarded as last passenger. Boarding gate closed immediately after that.
                              14. In the whole process, I was being harassed and sat there at AirAsia counter without even brushing. This gave me extreme shock and pain. Over and above it completely damaged my professional reputation due to non production of the presentation to Ministry of Road Transport & Highways along with PMO.
                              15. My booked ticket to travel to Bhubaneswar through Indigo is enclosed herewith for your reference and record.
                              16. I urged the AIrIndia Express management to enquire the matter with due diligence and compensate me for my losses. The claims are
                              (a) Non flied to the destination ticket Cost (booked from AIrIndia Express) – Rs.25846/-
                              (b) Re booked Ticket to fly to Destination ( booked from INDIGO) - Rs.25545/-
                              (c) Conveyance for change of Terminal - Rs. 560/-
                              (d) Inconvenience for the delay of flight (more than 3 hrs) as per DGCA guide line – Rs.35, 000/-
                              (e) Conveyance arrangement re-made at Bhubaneswar _ Rs.1280/-
                              (f) Loss of man-hour due to fault of AIrIndia Express - Rs.1, 40, 000/-
                              (g) Loss of Professional achievement & reputation - Rs.2, 00, 000/-
                              (h) Loss of peace due to tense situation created by AIrIndia Express - Rs. 3, 00, 000/-
                              (i) Immense physical pain due to notorious activity of Ground staff - Rs. 1, 50, 000/-

                              You are requested to compensate me for the above irreparable losses without further delay and rectify your system of handling the disable passengers properly and in a professional manner.

                              The matter is also conveyed to DGCA and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment for necessary action.

                                I had booked ticket with Air India express PNR J9QS4E even after more than 76 days (ticket cancelled on 2nd aug 2023) ago with no reason for dela.

                                  In Qatar I tried to book ticket for Doha to Mangaluru by air india express website but I couldn't succeeded, it will not proceed or continue in website after providing personal details asking company details and GST information .
                                  I called customer care in Doha but unable to do any thing and suggesting for book the ticket by private agents.
                                  Kindly solve the issue in air india express website so people can easily book ticket by airline website.

                                    I had taken the travel ticket for my son, Mr. Amar Soorya, for travelling from Muscat to Mangalore on 11/09/2023 (PNR UVY9PL). The ticket was taken under student fare option. The check in baggage allowance was 30KG.

                                    The luggage weight was adjusted within the allowable limit which was 29KG. Air India express counter at the airport advised that only 20Kg can only be allowed as the system shows 20Kg even after review of the ticket...

                                    On the date of 30/07/2023, I was a passenger on flight number IX 687, traveling from Singapore to Chennai, with PNR number UVGLXL. Upon arriving at my destination and retrieving my luggage, I was dismayed to find that my suitcase had suffered severe damage, resulting in the exposure of my belongings contained within a plastic bag.

                                    At the time of check-in, my suitcase was in impeccable condition and properly packed, securely holding my personal items. However, the state in which I received my luggage upon landing indicated mishandling that rendered the suitcase unusable. This incident compelled me to transport my belongings in such a compromised state, causing not only inconvenience but also a sense of embarrassment.

                                    The quality of care exhibited towards my luggage and the lack of support in addressing this matter from AirIndia Express have left me deeply disappointed. Given my loyalty as a customer, I anticipated a higher level of care and immediate resolution for the inconveniences I have encountered, along with the damages sustained.

                                    But after multiple nails to all levels till no response from the aircraft. Hence planned to raise this through complaint forum.

                                    I request you to take severe action on this issue.
