Im Geethapriya, My mobile number is [protected]. Im using airtel network for past three years. Last year i 've purchased a mobile and activated 3G in my mobile which was free for 3 months time since activation. But the Airtel had provided me only two months free internet services and added internet chages for the 3rd month in the bill. I have immdiately mailed a compliaint to customerserice for waiver of the internet charges added for the 3rd month. They have assured over phone for the waiver but dint not respond in mail. Fed up with the issue, with mental agony i have lodged a complaint in consumer court and recived a call 4 months back from Mr Alexander, Legal department, Airtel and was asked to settle the remaining dues Rs.3000/- as OTS and he has assured me to send a closure of the account with an agreement copy. On his request, we have paid Rs.3000/- immediately. But Mr. Alexander did not send any mail. Presuming that the account was closed, i have changed the network. But iam receving monthly bill with huge bill amount for non usage. You can verify the bill, i have not used the network at all. Today im getting calls from legal department, Airtel. Few people are using harsh words, abusing a professional like me to pay the money. This leads to mental agony and pressure.

Iam fed up with the issue. I cant pay penny more to this cheaters. Let the network do what ever they want. I only want my account to be closed. Iam consulting my advocate for legal action against those who tortured me. Alexander, Johnson, a lady from this number [protected] and Airtel.

Airtel — Terribly Non Professionals

I have a couple of AirTel post paid connections, plus a pre paid one. These people have shabby, very limited, far flung, and badly equipped offices even in a state capital. You have to commute long for making your payments. For the third time they have disconnected my services on non payment of very minor dues (less than Rs. 500.00) which had in fact been deposited much before the due date. They have recently closed one of their local office, where lots of cheques are reported to be lying on their drop boxes, which, unfortunately they do not seem to bother. More than a couple of years back, I had applied for an AirTel broadband connection, which, has still not been made available to me, even after depositing the requisite amount. Ther's still more bitter experience with this servive provider. Prior to leaving station for a week, I paid Rs.500.00 ( a security deposit/activation fee applicable earlier) towards roaming charges, filled an application form, but forgot to take the reciept. The roaming never got activated and after returning back home I was curtly told that the roaming could not be activated as I had not paid Rs. 500.00. Once I paid my bills via Credit card and again got into trouble.
My sincere advice - Go for a better service.

Airtel — use harsh words to customers

I am one Mr Senadheera who works as a lecturer in sri Lanka and I was using Airtel Broadband package and there was a problem due to signal.I made a complaint but it was not Ok. however One of your employee has given me (19th September'2011) a call today and at that moment I was driving and asked him to call me later but he used some harsh words talked like an uneducated person.Is this the way that you use to treat your cutomer? I was very upset the way he(male) talks , he gave me the call from the number[protected] at 3.02 p.m. I am a MBA holder at Sri J'pura university and reading for my PHD. I was busy and couldn't pay the bill. If you talk like this to customers it will damage the image of the company.I haven't seen any other organization talk like this to a cutomer.please be kind enough to take an action regarding the relevant party.

    Dear Sir,
    I am using airtel money account by the name of Araj Agarwal, mobile number [protected], balance is 500 but it is blocked by company as saying that there are two accounts by one name...
    i am telling him that when i am registering online to account [protected] mobile number by filling form then the message shows invalid mobile number..then i leave this and register other mobile number [protected] and this get registered..now the company saying that [protected] also registered....
    now it not activating my account..i am saying that please deactivate [protected] aitel money account...and continue my [protected]...
    please take an action on this..

      Hi,

      This is in regards to the complaint against Airtel DTH services. My DTH Account no is [protected]. I stopped viewing Airtel DTH from September 2012. As I did not recharge my account got deactivated and in January 2013 I got a call from Airtel customer care that If I recharge for 6 months I will get 6 months free and they say its Republic day offer and should recharge on or before Jan 26 2013. It means I can view for 12 months by paying for 6 months. I Called up 12150 on Jan 26 2013 evening to get confirmation whether the offer is true and whether I am eligible for this offer. Customer care guys confirmed that offer is true and I should recharge with exactly Rs. 2718. if I pay more or less than this amount I am not eligible for this offer. So I paid 2718 through my credit card. Now on the next day I got confirmation that my account is activated and is valid till Sep 16 2013. Now as per their promise I should get the validity date until Jan 26 2014. Thought of wrong update and raised request against this to get the correction in the expiry dates. Now Airtel says I am not eligible for the offer and they say sorry for the wrong communication. But will sorry pay me my money back. Please provide justice on this. These Airtel people record the conversations and they know each and everything but they do not provide perfect resolution.

      i want to know that ,is it a scam or scheme? I want this complain to be registered for future.
      You recharge with rs.2718 and they added cash back of rs.1054 into your account.
      You recharge with rs.2718 and they added cash back of rs.1359 in to your account.The actual offer is 50% cash back on your recharge amount.The 6 months free for 6 months recharge is not applicable for high monthly rental plans.
      Could you tell me the status of this complaint ? Has it been resolved ? I too recently got a call from Airtel telling I was eligible for the 6 months recharge + 5 months free and opted for it . In my case I have opted for the 6 months pack costing 350 pm .What should the account validity hold and when will the extra 5 months be credited to my account ..

          We are facing issues with our Broadband/Fixed line since last 2 months. Many calls and complaints have been made but no one has yet reached out to us. Customer support says that they will send their representative but no one reaches us. We always receive email IDs to email further but again no response. We even emailed high authorities with no response from them.           We Are Using Air-tel Land-line Connection With Internet Service. We Were Facing Troubles In Internet Connection From A Very Long Time And For That We Have Complained Them So Many Times.Many Of The Service Providers Visited Our Place And Were Unable To Clear The Issue. Just For Feedback We Got A Call From Air-tel And We Asked Them If You Are Not Able To Resolve The Problem Please Disconnect Our Internet Connection Because The Connection Sometimes It Works & Sometimes It Not.So Rather Getting The Problem Resolved They Disconnected Our Connection.

          After That For Re-connection We Have Called More Than 100Times & Emails Them So Many Times But Every Time We Get New Dates & Times But There Is ZERO Results.We Are Been Fighting With Them Since Two Months For Re connection But They Are Unable To Reconnect The Connection.

          This How India"s Biggest Telecom Service Provider Works.Its Really Sham full For The Company.

            1.At present Iam operating Airtel number [protected].I have a few greviences which
            have caused me immense hardship and harrasement.Iam a serving Indian Army officer
            posted in New Delhi.A few details before I address the main issues:-

            (a) AirtelNumber :[protected]
            (b) Type : Post paid
            (c) Plan : Rs 249 monthly charges
            (d) Data Plan: Rs 99 (1 GB data free therafter 10 p per 10 KB)
            (e) Bill Ceiling Limit: Rs 1300/-

            2.Sequence of events leading to the present case:

            (a) On 24 Jan my data service was disabled (confirmed by yout tech
            representatives).
            (b) On 27/28 Jan all my outgoing voice services were disabled.
            On 24 Jan my data service was disabled (confirmed by yout tech
            representatives).
            (b) On 27/28 Jan all my outgoing voice services were disabled.

            3.The observations and greviences are as follows:

            (a) Serious case of fraud is occuring at your end.My billing is generated
            on the 08 of every month.On the day of disabling my data services the tech
            represenatatives confirmed to me on the 25th of Jan that my usage was 1088MB.
            (b) On 29th Jan your customer care confirmed that my usage is 1173 MB.
            (c) E Mail received to me that my data usage is 1168 MB after 25 th Jan
            from time to time.
            (d) The fraud is that someone in your company is utilising my data account
            as on the day of disabling by you my data usage was 1088 MB whereas on 29 th it
            was 1173.How is this possible i fail to understand.It seems someone is hoodwinking the system thinking that the customers are fools.
            (e) Your customer centre executives where unable to explain this and promised
            me that a senior management individual would redress my grevience.NOBODY even bothered
            tocalll me up. I had brought out these facts that the data usage reflected is wrong
            as one can check the usage of my previous months and compare it with jan-feb 13 usage.
            (f) The voice service cancelled which has caused me tremendous hardship.

            4.At present Iam posted in the Signals Directorate which is a part of the Army Headquarters.
            By This poor service to a serving soldier wherein your company had advertised to the
            entire world that AIRTEL cares for the armed forces but the fact is you never DO which is
            evident from the poor response rendered to an officer in the Indian Army. The mental harassment
            and agony caused has tarnished my image and made a mockery of the system.Asiam actively
            in all communication matters for the ARMY with the Industry ,my self-example in this case
            makes me discourage all MoU with the industry in general.

            5. I hope you take cognizance of the above mentioned case and give me a suitable feedback.

              There has been persistent every month issue with Data services provided on my Airtel number[protected]. Every month once I get an issue with the network at my residence address (only a particular location) of not getting data services on my blackberry with Airtel connection.

              Since today evening my Blackberry data services is not working and I have already launched complaint against the same, complaint number
              is CBBCR[protected]

              I have been complaining every month about it as and when I face an issue. The issue gets resolves however not sure why this is very frequent. I have been using this connection along with my pre paid service since last 2 years however I never faced this issue. This is been there from last 3 months.

              I Sincerely appreciate you look into this ASAP.

                I appreciate the initiative and hope you can help me on this.

                I lost airtel dth connection due to No Signal issue between the dates January 1 to January 6 and January 19 to January 25. I was provided only refund of 70 Rs so far for the same even though refund must amount to 240 rupees.

                I was charged 250 Rupees for repair. Airtel doesn't charge new customers who are in warranty period and I am in the warranty period.

                Different people told different versions of why I was charged 250 making the information totally unbelievable and they charged even though I was in warranty period.

                My customer Id is [protected]. You can find below the mails I have sent to the customer care confirming the dates.

                Please help me as all the airtel nodal office people, the local service providers were very rude. I paid 5800 rupees for getting a new connection and am paying 600 rupees per month. But I get problems so often that I am not getting proper service.

                  I still have1400.0 data available. 3g speed is vely slow (72 kbps). Its really frustrating. Please read carefully its complex.
                  After 1 day of recharge I received following message.
                  " You have consumed 100% of the built in 3G speed for your airtel mobile .Speed is now revised.For continued 3G speed SMS 3G to 121 and select a 3G pack "for your airtel number [protected]for your airtel number[protected] " even though I have full balance of 2gb still.

                  I am not able to utilize my 3g balance. I tried to contact customer care but its really pathetic they don't even tried to understand the problem.

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  I have taken broadband connection from AIRTEL for 10 GB unlimited for 999 rs, excluding taxes on 20th August. After 1 week they informed me that I have already used 4GB, and then 2 days later they again told me that I used 6.02GB when I had not even downloaded anything. Since then, I was unable to browse any web page and the connection was so slow that it was impossible for me to even open facebook. On 29th August (just 9days following my activation), I received a message that I have to pay a bill of Rs 1536. I am a foreign student and badly need the internet facility to communicate with my family. After paying so much, it is very unfair when they cheat us here. I hope my complaint will be duly considered and that my problem gets solved soon.

                        I am writing this with high level of frustration and disappointment caused while applied for Airtel Wired Broadband connection. I would say it is probably the worst service that any ISP can provide to a consumer. Lot of communication gap and false promises from their end really tested my patience.

                        I applied for Airtel broadband connection through Mr. Ramesh on 25th Jan 2013 and submitted copy of ID proof, address proof and photo. I also paid Rs.1,100/-(Plan charge 1050+Notary sign charge 50) through Cheque. He said someone from the technical team will be contacting me within 3 to 4 working days. Waited till 04th Feb 2013 and there is no response from ISP's end. I call the customer care and registered the complaint with Ref no. 28251790. On 08th Feb 2013, I got a call from Airtel representative saying that broadband connection is not feasible and the amount paid will returned back through cheque within 21 working days. However, Airtel applied for cheque clearance on 09th Feb 2013 which was one day after informing me about technical problem with connection (don’t understand why????). I got pissed off and called them again on 11 Feb 2013. Other call centre representative's answer was that currently connection not possible but will provide me update in next one week (by 18 Feb 2013) . In between I tried to call the sales representative (Mr. Vassu and Mr. Ramesh) but no breakthrough.

                        Kindly do the needful and look into the matter.

                        Airtel — No response regarding Broadband Connection

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        This is to inform that i applied for new Airtel Broadband Connection by Mr.Harish Talwar(Senior Officer,107,First Floor,Ansal Classique Tower,Rajouri Garden,New Delhi) in my name R.Venkatesan for address of C5A/60,Janakpuri,New Delhi with amount paid of Rs.500/-. He received all my related documents excluding Address proof. After some days Mr.Vikas Shankar called me and said that "Your Address proof is missing". Since i relocated from Chennai to New Delhi for my job i dont have Address proof at present. Then Vikas said "Give me letter headed paper attested by Professor mentioning the current residing address". On the same day i submitted scanned copy of my contract document and letter headed from my professor mentioned about my current address. I also submitted copy of Owner letter for current address, ID proof of me, ID proof of owner, contract document of my job and letter headed paper from Professor. I submitted 5 proofs. Next day i called to Mr.Vikas Shankar about my connection he said that "Your old connection will not be processed contact Mr.Harish". I tried to Mr.Harish regarding this and he is not picking up the call. What i do at this situation? Airtel has very good branding globally but having such Sales representatives would give lot of dissatisfaction towards customer. I request either you to process my connection or return all my documents with the amount of Rs.500/-. I hope you will take necessary action for this. Its been more than 25 days, still didnt get the connection. During these days, I have opened multiple complaints with customer care but they always say "our back end team will call you in 24 - 48 hours" and not even single call I get from Airtel.                         i had taken the broadband connection on march 2011 . During the time of connection , agent told me that all problems related to modem and interenet will be solved by the airtel company upto 1 year i[censored] take the modem from the company . then i had taken the connection on that policy.

                        now after 8 months , my modem is not working and i have complained to the cutomer care but they are now saying that the policy of company is changed, according to new policy i have to go to the airtel's local vendor and he is charging me.but i will not pay for the repairing of modem because my modem is in 1 year's warrenty.

                        At the time of connection they have given me a modem whose input is 12 volts and adapter whose output is 9 volts because of that my modem is not working.

                        so, please solve my problem as soon as possible.

                        i got transfered talktime from another airtel number but i dint get it credited to my number but it is debited from that airtel number and another thing is i am not able to reach customer care and i lost 15rupees because of sending message without knowing. i am not able to see the information regarding messages sent and left..... if i dial *124*1# its coming error.... if i cal customer care they told that they wil transfer the cal to supervisor technical assistants but after that the cal got disconnected and if i cal again the cal is not connecting.... i have given complaint so many times... but not even a single time i got responded. so plese try to over come this problem. Hope Consumer Court wil help me.

                            I had purchased HD+ online from airtel website (transaction ref no :[protected].

                            Customer id : [protected] (Transid 545220) .

                            the digital was installed on saturday 9th feb 2013, 12:30 PM. But it is not activated yet. Error code 6 is displayed.
                            I tried to call customer care but no one bothered to get this solved . I was told that it will be activated in 45mins but it has more than 24hours yet it is not activated.

                            Either cancel digital tv connection and refund the 2290/- INR. or activate the connection with immediate effect.

                            I am very annoyed with the answers i was getting from customer care because customer care and sales team both were playing Ball game without bothering customer sentiments ,

                                  My airtel landline number is[protected]. I am using 4Mbps plan of Airtel Broadband. My billing cycle starts from the 27th of every month. I get 80 GB at 4Mbps and after this limit I get 256Kbps speed. On 24th Jan , I checked my remaining usage and it was around 11GB and on 25th at 4:00 PM speed was decreased to 256Kbps automatically. Airtel.in portal was not displaying the remaining GB and I thought I had consumed all of my free GB(80 GB) and I clicked on Smart bytes option of 20GB more. That costed me Rs 799. I restarted my router and the speed was still the same (256kbps). Then I refreshed my online account. Now it showed 36GB so I called Airtel customer care immediately and informed them about what happened. Initially they said that they can not issue refund for Value added Services. After few minutes they transferred my call to their supervisor . Supervisor repeated the same story that they can not issue refund for smart bytes. I keep insisting that it was a mistake. I explained her many times why did I purchase the additional GB. I told her that I cant use 36GB in 36 hours. and I dont want additional GB. Then that lady transferred my call to Tier 3 . Anuj was the name of the person and he told me that he cant do anything since the bill has not been generated yet , so he gave me a reference number which is [protected] . According to him , I had to call to Customer care executive once the bill gets generated. I was out of town and returned on 9th of Feb. I did call to Customer care executive and gve my reference number. He offered me a discount of only 250 Rs. I asked for nodal officer number then he asked me to wait for few minutes. He asked me if I want to talk with his senior and I said Yes. After a couple of minutes his senior came and said it is not possible to provide refund for smart bytes.

                                  Now questions arises
                                  1. Why don't your website ask for card information when customer tries to purchase smart bytes for first time ?
                                  2. Why did your tier 3 person give me reference number and asked me to call back once the bill gets generated.
                                  3. Why your executives are not allowed to give number of nodal officer?

                                    On 9 Feb 2013, I received a sms from Airtel informing me about my Special Offer. Following is the complete detail of the sms:
                                    From: AP-650001
                                    Text: "Get Unlimited Internet data pack for 30 days through a recharge of Rs.98. OFFER VALID FOR 3 DAYS."

                                    The message was written in Hindi Font. I confirmed about this offer by calling Airtel Customer Care and they agreed that the information provided is -genuine.

                                    On the next day, that is, 10th Feb 2013, I recharged my airtel mobile with Rs.98 as per their instruction. But when I check my Balance it was only 1GB, which is a usual amount and not any special offer.

                                    I called Customer Care. On first talk, they refused by saying that no such sms was sent to me. But after some argument, they transferred my call to some senior supervisor, who finally agreed that I've got such sms. But he also added that, since they don't have any such offer "currently" available, they won't be able to activate it on my Number.

                                    what the [censored] do they mean by saying that, no such offer is "Currently" available.

                                    If they don't have such offers available, then why do they send sms to their customers.

                                    I'm going to take this matter to higher authorities. I don't care about mere 98 rupees. But the matter is about how they fool their customers and even after that, they talk so rudely to their customers.

                                        Dear Team,
                                        Complaint No:1-
                                        I recharged my mobile number [protected] on 8th February night where I got Rs.86 as balance after that I got it recharged with net pack of 98 (for 21 days). After the recharge I started to use the internet. I was surprised to see the balance was getting deducted from my main account. So i called the customer care executive where I was informed that the net pack will be activated in 1 hour maximum (which is nowhere written on the coupon). So after getting the information I checked my balance which came to Rs.48 from Rs.86 (without making a single phone call). Then today morning i.e on 9th of February I again started to use the internet (as per the executive, the pack must have been activated), and I was shocked to see that again the balance was deducted from my main account. I called to the customer care executive again where I was again informed that I will receive a confirmation message from airtel for the activation of service(which again is nowhere written on the coupon). I asked for the balance refund which was denied. There was some guy Amit from Airtel side. So now without making a single call my balance comes to Rs.13 from Rs.86.

                                        Complaint No:2-
                                        In the morning i.e on 9th of February I tried to call one of my friend where I got an automated voice message that my balance is low kindly recharge it and my phone got disconnected. I tried to make call 4-5 times but on each and every attempt i was getting the same message and phone was getting disconnected. I again tried to call Customer care where again my attempt to make any voice call failed. So even though I have Rs.13 as balance I am unable to make call.

                                        It's so irritating to have a service like this from a company who claims to be the top in the segment. Seems airtel has made its motto "Jo Tera Hai Woh Mera Hai"....

                                        hai sir good evening this prashanth with mobile number i had called to day to CCE for 4 times they did not give required information they had given different types of answers

                                        Ihad refilled my airtel card account balance today with 60 rupees and within 1 hour from refilling my balance has been deducted by 30 rupees for which i receive a message saying it is charged for airtel radio service. this is the 3rd time this has happened .earlier i have been charged 60 rupees for ringtons which i had not even subscribed for. i request you to look into the matter as soon as possible.
