Airtel — UNAUTHORISED SERIVCES AND CHARGES

MY NAME IS VIKAS MOB.[protected]. I HAVE BEEN UNAUTHORISED CHARGED NEAR ABOUT RS.20 FOR UNAUTHORISED SERVICES FROM AIRTEL. PLS TELL WHAT 2 DO I CALLED AIRTEL C.CARE BUT NOT A SETISFACTORY ANS.

AirTel — Unauthorised Charges Services

This is reference to the service provided by Airtel. I have this connection from a very long time and i have no time to check the Airtel Invoice regularly. I have checked Airtel Invoice today and seen they are charging for Value Added Services Like Hello Tunes and other Services. In this regard, i have talked with Customer Care of Airtel and I haven't get the positive reply from them.

I have checked my last six invoices, in all the invoices they charged for these services and have mentioned the SMS on 6781 and 69602 but i never use this service and never sent any message to these numbers.

Airtel thinks that people have no time to check their invoices, that why thay are charging extra in the invoice, i think lot of People facing this problem. For this service, people can go to consumer court that without their permission, Airtel is charging the amount for the services which is automatcally generated by Airtel.

It is painful to mention that daily for the last 20 days your unwanted 64611010 SMS message is being received on my airtel mobile number[protected] and also being charged Rs.10/- per day from my account for the services which I have never activated and using (subscription Text Based Service) on Airtel WAP. I have already registered my complaint. But still I am receiving the same message. You are, therefore, requested to deactivate the same message with immediate effect and wave-off the charges @ Rs.10/- per day from the day received the same message

THE COMPANY START HELLO TUNE TO MY NUMBER AUTOMATICALLY .
My name is Sivakumaran P. My Airtel No [protected]. I am a Airtel customer since 2006. Even though so many service provider in the field of cell phone service, I never change my service from Airtel. I proud to be an Airtel customer because of No 1 service provider.

But in the same time, I had irritated by your service. I had been charged Rs.30/- in each two times. One in last Nov.2009, in which I receive a message like “you have been charged Rs.30 for renewal of chat” and by mistakenly I called several land line number of your office in Chennai by spending nearly Rs.7/- after that I spoke with your customer care person and get back the amount of Rs.30/- Like that I received message as “Thank you for subscribing Airtel Radio, you have been charges Rs.30 for 30 days” This time also I was spoke with you customer care executive, till I don’t know whether the charged amount re-credited or not. No received messages about that.

I know from my friends circle, this problem always persist in Airtel service, so that only they avoiding Airtel. “What a bad opinion on you”. Even though you spent allot of money towards your advertisement what is the use on it. “The real advertisement is your existing customers’ opinion”

Even though, the above smellier problems persist, so many customers don’t like to change the mobile number by switched over to other service provider. Whenever there will be a facility to change the service provider without change of number, that time you will loss a lot of customers including me. To avoid this type of situation, you should stop the unwanted charges debited by you in our account.

thank you for subscribing to Airtel Hello tunes at concession rate of of Rs.15, but I did not press any number for selecting the hello tunes, I don't know whether any amount debited in my account.Why should un necessary call at you end which will automatically deduct in our account. Stop such type of incoming calls

AirTel — complaint regarding unauthorised charges

dear sir,

this is to inform you that my mobile number is [protected]..in the name of mrs anshu aggarwal. i disconnected this number on 24 th of december and after that i destroyed the sim card of this number. my billing cycle is 20th to 20th.....on 5th an i received a cnformation call frm airtel customer care that my number has been permanently disconnected..i paid the remaining dues from 20th decmber to 20th january at NAC airtel showroom and the executive over there told me that my number has been permanently disconnected.and i dont have to pay anyn amount......bt i got a bill for februry and march....and when i went to the airtel office they told me that someone had restarted the number.i never told them to resstart the number and i dont know that with whose permission they started this number.i destroyed the sim in december and i also paid all the dues till january and after that also i am recieving such bills...once again i contacted customer care and they assured me that my number was permanently disconnected ...they told me that i dint have to pay any more dues and i also got a conformation call from airtel..bt now i have received a letter from airtel regarding payment of dues..... i want you to look into this matter.........

Airtel — unauthorised charges even without browsing

for the month of sep there are some unauthorized charges against gprs which has been charged rs 541/- even when it was not browsed. give me a solution for that to email id [protected]@yahoo.com

I have a prepaid airtel phone by number [protected]. Yesterday I purchased a new phone and when i inserted the card, i got a message that the settings cant be installed and to contact 19118. I tried to activate the GPRS and I dont know if it did or not. but I am getting messages that I have been charged so much every one hour or 30 minutes. Totally they charged me more than 80 rupees yesday and i havent browsed anything AT ALL. I tried just going to google and it said page cant be displayed. but i was charged 80 rupees and I dont what that was for. I called the customer care(charged .50 ruppes) and they said i browsed a website airtelgprs.com for 25 minutes and they charged me 30 ruppes once. they disconnected me about 4 times. i asked the agent to connect me to a supervisor. that supervisor was talking in hindi and i asked if he can speak in english and he disconnected. I got a message at 11.57 PM(midnight) that I have activated the caller tune and charged 30 rupees. i havent asked for caller tune and i dont know the caller tune they activated. I was shocked and i tried calling the care in the morning and i am not able to connect. I have a airtel broadband internet service and what I am plaiing to do is.. I am not going to pay the bill for airtel(about 800 rupees) so i can can compensate myself. Bottomline is, Airtel charged me money and they are not even responding.So, I am not going to pay the broadband service and am switching to Beam Internet..Gautam
I had a broadband service from Airtel A/c no 15606334. I had cancelled this service in March as I have moved out of the city.

I am still getting bills & daily calls for paying the bills for May. I called up the customer service people many times & they have not done anything except telling me someone will contact me.

I am so frustrated that I will be cancelling two other phones from Airtel, but then I will have to write another complaint as they will send me the bills for those numbers after cancellation too. My security deposit has also not been returned.

I do not intend to take a airtel connection ever.

I was astonished that what's this soon I called customer care And I give all the case the costumer care executive, then he transferred call to senior officer, for as all this case he told me the mobile phone no.from few request was mode from On 2nd august, 2011.
I have recharged of Rs.310 and got Rs.15 as bonus. On 31st August,2011 in early morning I Got sms from Airtel digital tv that the movies I have requested are being activated for Rs.40 at channel no.155 .
I was astonished that what's this soon I called customer care And I give all the case the costumer care executive, then he transferred call to senior officer, for as all this case he told me the mobile phone no.from which request was made after confirmation I hit to know that the no.used for requesting the movies was not known by my and neither it belong to any of my relatives nor of. the friends


the customer care executive regretted for this fault and said the balance deducted will be send to my account .

Till now I have ringed costumer care many a times but no result and today Rs.37 is left in my account.

I am fed up with this, as Airtel previously activated my STB in name of another person after which struggled a lot for solving this matter.
AND now again.
Why don't you pin for financial transactions and confirmation system, if you can't solve my matter and give my money back on my account.

If you still can't do something then do me a favour just take your digital tv set top box and dish antennae back. And I would opt for another DTH service.

      I am using Airtel last 4 years, I feel the network coverage is good but the TRAIFF is not at all good, today I have checked to recharge my #, I got shocked the call rates are hiked very much. It will burden the customer and also think about to see the alternate network, I m telling frankly I also thought the same. Because you have increased the call rates very much high and cut down the msg facility is too worst.
      For Ex:
      If I recharge bonus pack Rs 33 means STD is 30/min. Apart from 33 rs I need pay 2.40 RS daily if I make a call that’s means I need to pay 216 rs etc (2.40*90=216).
      The msg also same, if I recharge 79rs I will get only 1000 msg for 60 days.
      I am not getting why Airtel has increased the Call rates drastically??? I feel very bad about this. Kindly do needful to customers. Compare to other networks Airtel offers are very less and expensive.

          Hello,
          I am Ashok Patil, a resident of Bangalore. Last year I ported my mobile service connection to Airetel India from Vodafone services. I was under a plan which was moderate for a middle class working professional. As the days passed by i realized that my bill amount started increasing. Since i could not afford it anymore i planned to port my number once again. When i requested the same, i got a call from an employee of Airtel Retention Team who promised me that they will provide a net discount of 50Rs on my entire bill value. I was quite convined and planned to stick around.
          But even after that my bills almost remained same. Infact got high again. So my troublesome days started where in i used to call up the customer service extention most of the time of my day and in turn never used to get a solution. Every advisor used to make me wait for long minutes and either disconnect or put me to another line. I registered many complaints regarding the mismatch in my bill to almost every possible department in Airtel.
          Meanwhile i used to pay all my bills and enquire about a solution for the mismatch that was happening. One fine day when i spoke to a particular advisor, the truth i got to know was mind staggering. All the while i was not actually getting the discount. My bill was just manipulated in a way to make me feel that i was actually getting the discount. My bill always used to be so complicated that even the customer service advisors were unable to explain it. So it was like increasing the cost price of a product by 50Rs and the telling the customer that i will sell it for 50Rs less.
          All the while airtel was just manipulating my bill and was telling me that i am actually getting discount.
          When i did move to social networking site (Facebook) regarding this issue, a lady named Narinder contacted me from Delhi and introduced herself as one of the employee from an influential post. She did promise me that i will be compensated for the issue that i faced and assured me that this won't repeat in future. She made me wait for 25 days and still counting but still unable to reach. I have to call her up every time at my expenses and still in vain.
          I please request you to go through my complaint and provide me a necessary compensation along with a future resolution.

          AirTel — Misguidance

          I had bought Nokia phone three weeks back and with that I had got an airtel sim ([protected]) which I recharged with Rs. 195 recharge coupon for the life time and after that I did not used sim and kept it for use in future but Rs. 15 were automatically deducted for Hello Tune and on contacting customer care I got the reply that I will get back that amount within two days but nothing came out then on again contacting customer care i got the same reply. Now the situation is that I cannot contact customer care from that number because the services to customer care has been barred on that sim. This is not the question of Rs. 15 but this is the question is how your customer care is making innocent public fool. Hope you will provide me Rs. 15 and allow my number in customer care.

          Airtel — customercare mis guidance

          dear sir,
          I was using airtel postpaid mobile from about 1.5 years.Two months ago, i converted my no. into prepaid because i was not satisfied with my bill as it was much more than my expectations.
          Yesterday airtel blocked my incomming and outgoing.When i asked customer care about firstly they told me that they did'nt recived my doccuments.Then i rushed to there showroom to submit my doccuments again but there i came to know that my doccuments have been recived.Than i called customer care again, then they said the same thing that they already have doccuments and said there is some other problem and they cant tell bcoz their computer is not showing any problem.when i asked to register a complaint they didn't gave me complaint no. and said i can confirm from 121 anytime.Third time when i called customer care in morning to confirm my complaint this time they say that my no. was barred bcoz of verification problem.As i remember when i converted this no. into prepaid, i got a call for verification and i confirmed everything to them and they are blocking my no. after 2 months .
          everytime when i call airtel i get different answers from customer care. and now if i didn't get any satisfactry answer this time i m gng to consumer court.

            Hi,

            Today morning at around 08:54am I recieved a missed call from +92 [protected]. When I tried to call back it's not connecting. I have no relatives and friends from Pakistan from where the call is been originated. Hence concerned a lot that how did my Airtel number reached to unknown hands.
            This looks like a fraud call and request Airtel to take appropriate action to avoid such misuse of their valuable customer numbers.

            I happened to recieve the call from [protected] today at 11:46am too. Hence I recieved one call from +92 series on 06th Feb and 2nd call from +92 series today. If you notice the numbers are different but originates from Pakistan. This time I've not tried to call back.

                I have been using Airtel broadband from 2006, i started with 256 kbps, and i paid Rs.650 unlimited(night).
                My plan was upgraded to 2mbps(unlimited) in[protected] for rs 1299 rent/month. later i came to know my friend(chennai) is also using the same plan but for the monthly rent rs 499. why is this difference??

                i have logged atleast 8 complaints over the past 3 years for frequent internet connection and disturbance in line. but still i stayed with airtel because i liked the service.

                please escalate and explain. i am really frustrated being a customer for 6 long years., why am i being robbed for so long???

                  From my prepaid account number money is getting deducted due to some value added services(VAS) activation. Problem here is i didnt activated any VAS by myself. It will be getting activated and when balance goes low we'll be knowing about this. If we ask our money they will be telling some stupid rules. In which of their rule its telling they can make their customer in trouble. I was travelling to an unknown place my balance was some wat around 20rupees. In between i saw lik balance is below one rupee.it is disgusting that in such situation airtel is playing such a dirty game with customer.this type of problem happen many times with me, even my frnds also suffered.If this is how airtel is making money then shame on them.

                    I have requested for a new Airtel Broadband connection in bellandur 3 weeks back (application number 598308), and has paid 3 months advance rental for the same (3450 Rs). when requested for the connection, they did technical feasibility and collected the documents from me (Prameela Enterprises), after collecting money and documents, they told that they will install the connection within 48 hrs, but no one turned back. when called, the sales officer is giving installation guy number, and the installation guy is saying that port is not available, and will connection when someone vacate that area. I told, to cancel the connection request in that case, and they asked me to contact prameela enterprises itself. Now nobody is picking up the call, then i registered the complaint to the airtel customer care (complaint number:[protected], but as usual no response from them even after 48 hrs... Either connection has to be provided, else they have to return the money.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

                            I am writing this mail on account of receipt of various unsolicited calls in the above said Mobile Phone despite the same being registered with Bharti Airtel Ltd. under DND Register as can be verified from the call details as available with Bharti Airtel Ltd.

                            Apart from the above the Officials of Bharti Airtel Ltd. have been making unauthorized deductions through these unsolicited calls.

                            Today one missed call was received in this Mobile connection from the scrupulous Moblie No.[protected]. On making a reverse call in this mobile No.[protected], a deduction of Rs.15/- has been effected by Bharti Airtel Ltd.

                            If it is presumed that such unsolicited call has been made with no involvement of Bharti Airtel Ltd., NO SUCH DEDUCTION COULD HAVE BEEN ARRANGED BY BHARTI AIRTEL LTD. on making of any call to this Mobile No.[protected].

                            The fact of such deduction proves that Bharti Airtel Ltd. is hand in glove in this process of making unsolicited calls and to thereby cheat the subscribers through such mechanism. It is also highly surprising that on making a call to this Moblie No.[protected] from MTNL Phone, the system is making a declaration that no connection with such number is existing and that the said Mobile No.[protected] is not valid.

                            In the past also such illegal activities of Bharti Airtel Ltd. was intimated to you for necessary action with the request to ensure that such activities are not perpetrated upon me in future. However, Bharti Airtel Ltd. is not desisting from its nefarious activities.

                            It is therefore again requested that the matter be investigated at your level immediately and necessary orders be passed to credit back the said amount of Rs.15/- illegally deducted by Bharti Airtel Ltd., failing which appropriate legal proceedings would be initiated in the matter as the cost and peril of Bharti Airtel Ltd.

                            Please further ensure that such illegal activities are not perpetrated upon me in future under any circumstances.

                            i have one airtel prepaid [protected] last 5 years and now my balance dedact evry day 2or5 rupees per day i lounge my complaint many time for airtel customer care but any budy not give me a wright clearence i pleasure request for u pls solve my problem asap shyam.

                            Airtel Bharti Ltd — unauthorised deduction of charges without providing services

                            I had tried to download application software " sms guard" on 21.09.08 for my nokia mobile N82 through AirtellLIVE service of Airtell . During the process of downloading a meassage appeared that this software is not compatible to your mobile then I closed the airtell live service . To my suroprise just after a moment I received a sms to my mobile regarding deduction of charges Rs 99.00 from my prepaid account.
                            Then I tcontacted at 121 and 198 service of air tell but only recorded msgs received regarding different type of services and every time Phone disconnected after hearing recorded msgs . the phone could not be connected to customer care officer of airtell so that I can request for refund Of Rs 99.00 .
                            The web site of airtell also doesnt have any sercvice to receive such type of complaint .

                            I have a airtel connection of cell phone no. [protected]. Since last 2 months a web site namely "dada sub 10" is deducting Rs. 10/- per day from my airtel connection. Several times we complained but still have deducting Rs. 10/- every day which is totaly un-authorised and illegal. This will be treated a last complain from our side. After this complaints, I will be move to Indian Consumer Forum.
                            Kindly treat it most urgent and stop the unauthorised deduction and also ensure the refunding of all deducted amount within 24 hours.

There was no call made from this number during that duration , also the customer service wasnt reachable as there was no option on their voice machine to contact any representative.                             i didn't even open access airtel live and customer care employee said i have downloaded the above by following some link which i did not do and he said i will not get any refund. I would want the concerned authorities to give my amount back or this shows open cheating by deducting balance without any authorization.

THIS MESSAGE HAD NO DETAILS ABOUT THE CHARGES THE SUBSCRIBER NEEDS TO PAY FOR VISITING SUCH SITE AND IT LOOKED LIKE ANOTHER PROMOTIONAL OFFER BY AIRTEL.THEREAFTER AMOUNT OF 99 RS WAS DEDUCTED WHEN I VISITED THE SITE AND TO MY DISMAY, NOTHING WAS DOWNLOADED IN MY MOBILE. ON ENQUIRING WITH THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES REPEATEDLY, THEY WERE CLUELESS AS TO WHETHER I HAD DOWNLOADED ANY CONTENT OR A GAME BECAUSE IN MY HANDSET, I HAD RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
                            I WAS TOLD ON 22ND SEPTEMBER 2010 THAT SOMEBODY WOULD CALL FROM AIRTEL NOT LATER THAN 24TH SEPTEMBER 2010 TO CHECK THE CREDENTIALS OF MY UNAUTHORIZED DEDUCTION AND AS EXPECTED, NOBODY CALLED UP. SO, I HAD TO CALL 121 ON 25TH SEPTEMBER 2010 AND AFTER THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE COULD NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE, MY CALL WAS TRANSFERRED TO ONE MR. LAXMIKANT FROM AIRTEL WHO TOO WAS HELPLESS. I WAS TOLD BY HIM TO HOLD THE LINE FOR 30 SECONDS BUT THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM MR. LAXMIKANT FOR THE NEXT 15 MINUTES.

                            MAY I PLEASE REQUEST SOME PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE TO LOOK INTO THIS WHO ACTUALLY HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TAKE DECISIONS ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY AND RESOLVE THE ISSUE?

                            Bharti Airtel — Balance deducted from Prepaid account

                            Dear sir / Madam

                            I am a prepaid customer of Airtel Mobile, For Last five days my account is being deducted for Rs 5 on daily basis, and i am receiving the message

                            for Your info i have not activated this service on my mobile.

                            Complaint for the same was lodged with customer care on 12 march 2011. and informed the customer care executive to stop all the services which ever are active on my number, but regret no action was taken from the service provider.
                            The customer care executive informed to send an Sms STOP to 121. the same was sent more than 5 times and the reply received was no services are active on your mobile

                            Also A sum of Rs 99 has been deducted from the account for downloading of bikinimodel_WP326 on 7 March 2011.


                            Again the same complaint was registered on 14 march 2011. but still no action was taken.
                            The Request reference Number Is CBDPA[protected].

                            Then on 15 March visited nearest retailer at Vasco for Help. The representative called the customer care and registered the complaint and was assured that all the services are disabled and no Balance will be deducted in future.

                            Again on 16 march 2011 a sum of Rs 5 is deducted from my Account for the same reason.

                            When visited local retailer with the problem, The concerned when called customer care for the reasons, the customer executive was rude and di not want to speak and disconnected the line.

                            Also these types of problems are encountered by the customers also, when we call the customer care, they keep our call on hold and never return back to attend the call, This is the manner in which the India's biggest service provider is providing its service to their customers???????????

                            Please look in the matter and revert.

                            AirTel — Unauthorised deduction of amount from prepaid account balance

                            for the mobile no.[protected], an unauthorised amount of Rs 200 was deducted about a week back, Thisis a prepaid no. Upon calling the customer care no., multiple times, the matter is referred to the senior person who does not answer. When contacted by e-mail, there was no response either by the customer care address. This issue was then escalated to the Appellate Authority. There is also no response to the same. Please help,

                            It is to inform you that I recharged day days before an amounting to Rs. 50/-. This phone is used by my aged mother to receive call only and sometime mother give me miss call as because I am working in ONGC and have to visit/tour different places.

                            But regret to inform you that all of sudden without single call, the balance comes down to Rs. 9.40 as on today. I would request you to kindly send the call list so that I could find where mistake is done.

                            Dear sir/madam, this complaint is regarding wrongful deduction of my mobile account balance(mob no. [protected]) for Rs. 50/- on 11 Sep 11 by bharti airtel. I have been using airtel mobile connection for long and several times being charged for some amount for the services i have not used or requested for. This time some game has been activated on my no. without my consent or request and Rs. 50/- has been deducted for the same. When I contacted the coustmer care for tje same, Mr. Ajit Singh who attended my complain told me that the game has been activated by me and the amount cannot be refunded. I have forwarded a request to stop the service on my no. Sir, this is totally a helpless situation for a mobile user when the service provider deducts the balance on the name of. Activation of some or the other service and the customer has t io bear the loss. This is a fraud on the part of service provider and harresment of the customer.                             today to my surprise I see my prepaid balance (my no. [protected]) getting deducted by rs 10 without getting any mssg through sms or any other mode. This is something which is been happening for last 2 months that suddenly my balance gets deducted by some amount without knowing which service have been activated illegally. I HAVE NEVER EVER APPLIED FOR ANY AIRTEL SERVICES EIITHER BY SENDING SMS OR CALLING ANY NUMBER. By calling airtel helpline, I was told that there's crap services as below

                              Sir/Madam,
                              I had Airtel postpaid connection [protected]. During that time I had deposited Rs 6000/- with Airtel for international roaming connection. ( bill no 839 dated 30/6/07). On March 4th 2012 I converted post paid to prepaid connection. while converting the Airtel outlet at Vijaynagar told me that the deposit amount will be returned within 60 days.
                              Till now I have not received the amount. When I checked with at customer care, they ask me to contact later. This is happening for quite some time. This regard I had written mails to Airtel presence on Oct 21 2012 (nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in; [protected]@in.airtel.com) and later also. So far I have not received any response and money from Airtel.
                              Request your help in solving this issue.

                                Since the time I got the Airtel 4G LTE Wifi Connection (Number [protected]) couple of months ago, it has not worked one full day without interruption. The ZTE router disconnects at least 6 to 7 times in a day and I end up losing my work and have to re-start again. I have filed complaints with Airtel many times, the most recent complaint numbers being 48278832 logged on 21-Jan-2013 and 48499852 logged on 1st Feb 2013. Many technicians have come and gone, but the problem persists. Can Airtel depute some senior technician who understands the subject to come and trouble-shoot the issue and fix it once for all?

                                  I have registered my mobile number [protected] for "Fully blocked category" DND service. I have registered on 22-Jan-2013 and received an SMS confirming the registration with reference number: W[protected].

                                  Ideally it should stop by 31st Jan 2013. But, I am still getting 1 or 2 advertising calls everyday from Airtel through various numbers:[protected]

                                  They are calling at 7 or 8 in the morning, I'm mostly on roaming, whenever I accidentally answer the call, they are charging me 1.50 every minute. Also, I cannot call customer care everytime as I am on roaming. They charge 1.50 per minute to talk to customer care and then disconnect the call halfway. This happened thrice after speaking to a customer care representative, they ask me to hold the line and then after a couple of minutes of some irritating music, the call gets disconnected. To reach to a customer care representative again and explain my problem, I have to wait for 5 minutes on call and Airtel is eating away all my balance money.

                                  Please help me recover my losses and save me from this harassment.
