Sir,
I am an airtel prepaid user and my number is [protected]. it has happened twice in past 7 days that I get a message from airtel regarding thanks for downloading some wallpaper from their site and I have been charged Rs. 5.0. I am not downloading anything. when I call customer care they respond in a casual way and say it cannot be refunded back.
kindly do the needful.hoping for a quick response.

AirTel — unwanted deduction of balance from account

I got a pop up[ on my screen stating the subscribe for hinduism from airtel despite of being registered my number in do not disturb list of airtel through airtel website.
There was a field for responce and I did not responded to it yet I got a message that rs 10 have been deducted from your account for subscribing to hinduism.
I want to register a complaint with airtel that please stop these kind of activities.
this is a frequent problem being faced by me and have been charged several times in the same way but I thought its ok that it may be a system problem. but now it is a limit.

      I used Airtel Broadband (account Number [protected] and phone number [protected].) for several months in Bangalore.
      I was out of station for two months and couldn't able to pay the bill , hence the line disconnected in end of December 2011
      After disconnection also they keep on sending bills through my email. In the month of April I got one e-mail from Collections.[protected]@in.airtel.com , Asking me to pay an outstanding amount of Rs. 4908.00
      I got one call from customer care asking me to pay whole amount when I told her that I have not used after December as line was disconnected. Finally she told that if I will pay Rs.4000.00 then the matter will settled and I will receive one settlement statement.I paid 4000 through cheque on May 9, 2012 and I got one receipt No.[protected].
      I followed up customer care through e-mails and phone calls for settlement statement but I didn't got any reply on that matter

      On January 29th I got one call from a number [protected], person claiming that he is lawyer in Delhi District Court saying that there is a case registered against my name in Delhi by Airtel. If I want to close the case then within one hour I have to pay the due amount , I didn't respond to that call again he called me on that day evening and asked if I paid or not if not I have to come to Delhi and pay the penalty of Rs.24000 and/or legal action.

      Again on yesterday i.e. 11th Feb I got a call from same number asking to make the payment before 5 pm today , else legal action will be taken against case number 12116/2013 .
      Today morning I got call from some other number.[protected] ( Claiming Adv Arjun of Delhi dist. Court) and telling the same thing

      Why should I pay more even after I have paid more for unused usage.
      Any help with this regard to close this matter would be highly appreciated.
      Please advice and help.
      Calls/threats such as this causes immense stress to customers.

          Hi Team,
          I am Priya Tadas,regular user of air-tel and my mobile no. is [protected].
          I have faced issue of auto-downloading of Value Pack four times in January month and charges for each downloading was Rs.99. First time I ignore the deduction but when second time it happened I called 121(customer care) and requested to deactivate the value pack as well as to refund the whole amount and they refunded total amount (Rs.99) for second time. After this incidence, the same history repeated for each week in January month but when I called the customer care(after third time reduction) they told me that they couldn't refund the amount although I told them that they had already refunded the amount for second time.
          I would like to mention that after 1st deduction I was pretty much careful while using internet on mobile and I am damn sure that I didn't click on any link.
          Now I have changed my plan to postpaid but its my right to get my money back as its not a small amount for me. So Team, I request you all please tell me what should I do to refund the cash (viz, Rs. 297).
          Please do the needful.

          Airtel Mobile — regarding refunding & advance charges

          Hi,
          I changed my number from prepaid to postpaid in airtel, at the time of conversion i was having balance in prepaid around 300/-Rs. which was told to me that it will be adjusted in the first month billing, but till date there is no adjustment & no response from airtel, i have sent so many complains but it is of no use, they don`t even care about responding at both customer care & there outlets.
          & one new thing they told me that whenever I use any VAS, they take the rent in advance i.e, in the first month i hav to pay double the amt. of VAS and it will remain with them untill I stop the services.
          What should I do???

            AirTel — Regarding Offer SMS

            My contact no. is [protected]. I got an sms form Airtel that if i recharge by the balance ammount of RS 42/- my STD call rates will be reduced to 0.50 p/min and Local will be reduced to 0.40 p/min. I recharge my mobile as soon as i get sms with transaction id [protected] but i didn't get those facilities later i logged a complaint with complain ref. no is: [protected]. But no any action is taken yet and its been about 4 days. Please do something these mobile service provider really makes fool the customer by sending such smses and making pool of money.
            please solve my problem.no return fefund airtel.
            not use for airtel.

              I took datacard connection 4-5 months back. As per information by company executive and offer document signed am supposed to get Rs150 pm discount on bill amount. For 1st month bill i did not get any -discount and hopefully Dec-12 or late Nov onwards am not using the service. The SIM number is -[protected]H1-WD. When they called me for payment of due amount Rs950, asked customer care to stop the service and credit Rs150 which is due to me. But they did not do and now company is threatening me and asking to pay penalty of roughly Rs2000 extra for service...One month bill due is there which i agree but not more than that...Now company is telling we will inform police and threating me ....due to above dispute i did not pay amount to company....please help me ....

                Sir, I took a Airtel prepaid SIM paying Rs.80 1.5 months back...SIM NO-[protected]H2SYS1209. Till now sim is not active after several follow and visiting airtel store, they are proving reason that there is documentation issue, when i asked for returning my money if the sim is not getting active they are saying no. Not even returning my money, wasted lot of time with them but no response....

                AirTel — Sim is not active

                I have purchased an airtel sim from having no-[protected] on 22oct 2010, but till no the sim is not active though their verification is complete. This is too late and i am not really pleased with this kind of service.please look in to this matter and do the needful, other wise i have to quit to use this service.this is really harshing the customers.

                  Please note that connection has been surrendered and the set top box, dish, cable, etc. everything has been taken away by the concerned engineers. Inspite of this we are getting reminders from Airtel that the balance is low and recharge is required. No doubt Airtel can act this funny but this is irritating us and causing unnecessary trouble. Daily atleast 8-10 reminder calls are being made by Airtel and an automated tape is being played. Please stop this nuisance and try to understand that we are not at all interested in Airtel.

                    I am Naren Bhatt and is a corporate customer of Air Tel.

                    My son owe Ph:[protected] and had old mobile Model. He is subscribed to get daily billing SMS from AIRTEL.
                    I got him a new instrument on 9/11/2012 - and the internet got activated though not requested for.
                    I have also internet available on my AIRTEL so we continued the same with a feeling that as the charges shall be Rs 100/ per month.

                    However the SMS for charges showed sudden increase in his billing charges.
                    We ignored the 1st message with a view that there might be some mistake.
                    But in just 2 days and 19 hours (from 9/11/2012 20:31 Hours to 12/11/2012 15:44 Hours the bill charged (split in to 2 different billing cycle) more than Rs . 1500/-.
                    In 2 days net charges are Rs.1700/- and we do not know when the service was activated?

                    I continued to pay the bill through net for the voice calls and lodged several complaints from my log ID. I also registered telephone complaints.
                    I pay all the bills (ON THE SAME day) for this phone, even bill for the month of Jan Feb (Cut off day 12th Feb) was paid on 13th Feb 2013.

                    Now with penalty and all the charges are Apprx. Rs 1700/-.
                    From last two days my son’s outgoing calls are stopped.

                    He is in school and he is unable to contact me often.
                    I am in deep problem

                    Airtel — Extra Billing & Poor service

                    I am using Air tel mobile post paid connection since last more than 3 years. Since last 1& half year i am facing call dropping & network problem. I have made so many complaints to Airtel customer care. They are accepting the problem. They have send their representative to my residence. He also agrred that network problem. We have email communication & they agreed in writing for network problem & also communicated that it can not be resolved in near future.
                    Now because of this problem I am facing call drop problem, no coverage & because of that in place of one call I force to do the same call more times even in a minute. So if 50 Paise/minute for one call I have to pay morre than that due to 2/3 times calling the same no. per minute. So I am asking for discount they are not repling for that.
                    Pls look into & give me the justise.

                      airtelindia — internet connection problem

                      i have applied for internet services on my cell phone. i am a post paid plan customer of airtel. As per agreement the mobile office service will be activated on Rs.99 monthly but this facility is not available till yet.

                          I had applied for MNP from my reliance no [protected]. It was my mistake that I chose Airtel. I was give SIM and was asked to Submit my details which was done on 4th feb 2013. I was told that address verification will happen and then the connection will be activated. Address's verification was done by a person by coming to my house and I was told that anytime the connection will be active. after that many times I have called call center and I was told that I have to go to local service center.
                          Here my journey to most horrible experience began, I have visited 2 times and my wife must have visited 3 times. It is observed that the leader who is supposed to manage keeps you guiding to some counter and then that person to some other counter and like this you keep on moving one counter to another. After wasting of hours almost 2 Hrs every time you are told that go home and it will be started in 24 Hrs...but nothing happens. you may find some intelligent fellow among them who will give his personal no you and assure personalized services, but he will never pick up your phone, one such name is Swapnil in Borivali west Centre.
                          I found many like me grumbling frustration in this center, but the staff keeps on guiding you to exit door shamelessly.

                            Airtel Data Card Fraud unveiled

                            Data card number : [protected]

                            Issue : Repeated disconnection while startup, very very Frequent disconnection every 15 minutes, signal fluctuation in whole of north chennai but not in south chennai (proves that there is no issue with the data card or the SIM card)

                            Troubleshooting : Done with all the possible troubleshooting like CHANGING PROFILES, DE-REGISTERING AND RE-REGISTERING NETWORKS, RE-INSTALLING DATA CARD, PLUG-OUT AND PLUG-IN TO ANOTHER PORT / COMPUTER / LAPTOP. Nothing works. (Only works while in South Chennai)

                            Conclusion : Looks like Airtel has decided that people in North Chennai are poor and they would not complain even if the service is poor as they are poor and illiterate. Also that South Chennai is much better and to put their efforts there instead.

                            Fradulent operations by Airtel : They have provided a so-called toll-free number[protected] mentioning support for all their data card related issues. But if you call the toll free number they only provide tech support and that too with who do not know anything about computers or networking. And everybody who are professionally trained to give false promises and information as possible. Atleast 30 call-backs were promised but none of them were made.

                            Secondly this so-called toll free number does not provide any billing information, NOT EVEN THE BASIC information like the bill amount that we are supposed to pay. Even though they have that information right in front of that screen.

                            And they want us to call a completely another dept which has a charge-able number only then they would be able to provide us the billing details. On top of that this chargeable number never works.

                            On top of all this COMPLAINTS AND CASES ARE CLOSED WITHOUT WORKING ON THE ISSUE OR THE CUSTOMERS CONSENT. BY STATING IN THE COMPLAINT LOGS THAT THEY HAVE TRIED TO REACH THE CUSTOMER BUT NOT REACHABLE. I have several times in fact with different data card numbers have checked with this particular scene they have in-fact closed several cases without working or customers consent. Such a bold act is only possible by Airtel.

                            All of the above proves that these people are highly trained to scam / cheat people just to suck-out money from customers.

                            I WANT TO ADD THIS AS A CHERRY ON TOP OF A CAKE :

                            THE DATA CARD PROVIDES A SPEED OF 5 TO 7 kbps against 128 kbps speed which I'm supposed to get (it takes 6 or 7 minutes to open Google page with that speed) WHICH NOBODY IN THIS WORLD CAN GIVE NOT EVEN THE OLD BSNL DIAL-UP SERVICE. BUT AIRTEL IS PROVIDING SUCH A WONDERFUL SERVICE IN THE NAME OF 7.2 MBPS... KUDOS

                            I bet Airtel would take atleast 20 more years to reach 7.2 MBPS service. Its a challenge to every one of you working in Airtel, to show us atleast 1.2 MBPS in this city.

                            WHEN I ENQUIRE OR COMPLAIN IT TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEIR RESPONSE IS : "After ur 6GB usage that is the maximum speed (5 to 7 kbps) that you can get or expect and nothing more that that"

                            Fantabulous Service Demonstrated by Airtel. Let me pass on the word everywhere possible. Actually I'm planning to start a blog because of the over-whelming response on online forums for Airtel complaints.

                            Dear Sir, This is again regarding my previous complaint in this forum regarding " fraud services by Airtel' concerning to mobile number [protected]. Based on my previous complaint Airtel executives spoke to me and requested to put fresh request for MNP to resolve the issue. I co operated with them and generated fresh MNP request. After generating fresh MNP code i am repeatedly getting messages against my complaint in consumer forum as well as on mobile that my complaint has been resolved. Wheras i am still using Airtel network that i dont want to use Please do the needfull, because with this you can understand what type of services Airtel is providing to the customer.

                            Airtel — repeatedly fraud services

                            Dear Sir, This is regarding my previous complaint for mobile no. [protected]. I am still waiting for the response from Airtel mobile service provider. The executives of Airtel are trying to escape from this issue. The customer care executive (Mr.Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Airtel Presence (Airtel Customer Service Team,
                            Bharti Airtel Ltd.,[protected]@airtel.in) pledged me to resolve me the complaint and asked me to generate new unique Port code and send the request again. He called me from the Mobile number [protected]. After generating new code i am trying to get in contact with him, but he is continuously trying to escape from my issue. And i am getting messages by email and mobile that my issue is resolved. Whereas my problem is still existing. They have once again done fraud to me by asking me to generate new port code to resolve my issue i.e to release me form Airtel network. I am still using Airtel network. The expiry of my porting code is 07 May 11. The days are passing, but Airtel is not taking any action. The same thing has happened in past. After 07 May, once agin their executives will say that you porting code has expired. So how many times i should buy new sim of other service providers to get releaved fro Airtel????????????????

                            Issue : Repeated disconnection while startup, very very Frequent disconnection every 15 minutes, signal fluctuation in whole of north chennai but not in south chennai (proves that there is no issue with the data card or the SIM card)

                            Troubleshooting : Done with all the possible troubleshooting like CHANGING PROFILES, DE-REGISTERING AND RE-REGISTERING NETWORKS, RE-INSTALLING DATA CARD, PLUG-OUT AND PLUG-IN TO ANOTHER PORT / COMPUTER / LAPTOP. Nothing works. (Only works while in South Chennai)

                            Conclusion : Looks like Airtel has decided that people in North Chennai are poor and they would not complain even if the service is poor as they are poor and illiterate. Also that South Chennai is much better and to put their efforts there instead.

                            Fradulent operations by Airtel : They have provided a so-called toll-free number[protected] mentioning support for all their data card related issues. But if you call the toll free number they only provide tech support and that too with who do not know anything about computers or networking. And everybody who are professionally trained to give false promises and information as possible. Atleast 30 call-backs were promised but none of them were made.

                            Secondly this so-called toll free number does not provide any billing information, NOT EVEN THE BASIC information like the bill amount that we are supposed to pay. Even though they have that information right in front of that screen.

                            And they want us to call a completely another dept which has a charge-able number only then they would be able to provide us the billing details. On top of that this chargeable number never works.

                            On top of all this COMPLAINTS AND CASES ARE CLOSED WITHOUT WORKING ON THE ISSUE OR THE CUSTOMERS CONSENT. BY STATING IN THE COMPLAINT LOGS THAT THEY HAVE TRIED TO REACH THE CUSTOMER BUT NOT REACHABLE. I have several times in fact with different data card numbers have checked with this particular scene they have in-fact closed several cases without working or customers consent. Such a bold act is only possible by Airtel.

                            All of the above proves that these people are highly trained to scam / cheat people just to suck-out money from customers.

                            I WANT TO ADD THIS AS A CHERRY ON TOP OF A CAKE :

                            THE DATA CARD PROVIDES A SPEED OF 5 TO 7 kbps against 128 kbps speed which I'm supposed to get (it takes 6 or 7 minutes to open Google page with that speed) WHICH NOBODY IN THIS WORLD CAN GIVE NOT EVEN THE OLD BSNL DIAL-UP SERVICE. BUT AIRTEL IS PROVIDING SUCH A WONDERFUL SERVICE IN THE NAME OF 7.2 MBPS... KUDOS

                            I bet Airtel would take atleast 20 more years to reach 7.2 MBPS service. Its a challenge to every one of you working in Airtel, to show us atleast 1.2 MBPS in this city.

                            WHEN I ENQUIRE OR COMPLAIN IT TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEIR RESPONSE IS : "After ur 6GB usage that is the maximum speed (5 to 7 kbps) that you can get or expect and nothing more that that"

                            Fantabulous Service Demonstrated by Airtel. Let me pass on the word everywhere possible. Actually I'm planning to start a blog because of the over-whelming response on online forums for Airtel complaints.

                                  I bought an Airtel prepaid connection on April 27, 2010 from a dealer in Sreekariyam. After almost one month using, it got disconnected on may 22nd May, 2010 without any intimation form Airtel. I have given this number for all my official communication at many places so I raised a complain on that day itself with the customer care. On inquiry I was told to resubmit my id proof. On 24, May I went to Airtel Relationship center in CR complex, Pattom, Trivandrum, Kerala and resubmitted my id proof document. The customer care executive assured that my service will be restored in four hour. But my wait was for vain, after two days amidst my busy schedule I revisited them. Then i was that some issue with the SIM card so has to contacted the nodal officer, which operates from Ernakulam. Lucky I got a phone number of Ernakulam Nodal officer. Since then I have been calling them and they give some lame excuse and ask me to call latter. Every time the lady officer assure of restoring the service. Its june 1st today and I have been informed that my id proof document that not received by Airtel. The document that i have personally handed over to the Airtel executive at Pattom Airtel office.
                                  Well hope some sensible and responsible Airtel executive could help me in resolving it. As I have given this number in different places and also in my visiting card, its very difficult to take new connection due to it. Its been more than 10 day I have suffering for no fault of mine. Its my official number and how long I could ask my clients to call up on other numbers. My Airtel number is [protected]. If not Mr. Sunil Mittal, chairman Bharati Airtel at least some responsible personal could resolve it.
                                  handling of id proofs and photos ane very carelessly by the excecutives. IT is not the right way to ask the customer to resubmit the ids and photos. In the current situation, with ids and photos a third party can buy another sim and misuse it. it may be any terrorist. SO THE OFFICIAL HAS TO TAKE CARE OF THE MIS USAGE OF ID PROOF AND PHOTS. The customer has to report to police immedietly

                                    My Airtell Number is [protected]. I travelled out of country and had a high usage during this period.

                                    I have maid the payment for my Airtel Bill amount due as discussed with the Airtel executive and also got a confirmation E Mail for the same.

                                    After making the payment now I am being told that the number has been permanently disconnected due to non payment of amount due.

                                    The point that needs to be noted is that I got a call on Jan 8,2013 and made the entire payment on same day.but services to my number were permanently disconnected on Jan 19,2013 i.e. 11 days after receipt of payment.

                                    Now I am getting a reply that this number , that i am using for last 10 years, cannot be alloted to me again.

                                    I have never defaulted in any payment in the last 10 years and also made the payment due as required.

                                    My simple question is why was the number disconnected even after receipt of payment. This is the worst customer serv ice I have seen and Airtel simply keeps on repeating that the number has been disconnected due to non receipt of payment whereas this is not true.

                                    Please tell me if I can raise this issue at a Consume court or write to somebody else for a resolution as Airtel only has a fixed answer everytime I write to them.

                                      I have been requesting since Jan 2009 for my 2 mob bills since 3 months, I have called them for morethan 100 to 150 times day and night. I have spoken with morethan 50 call executive and customer relation manager like, Nethra, purna, satish, satish s, Ravikumar, shastry, satish any many managers.
                                      I have been lost my patience requesting these people to provide the softcopy bill. Iam really aroused in life due to this airtel and spoiled my health speaking to airtel people for morethan 2 months.

                                      My humble request to provide me my bill of 2 months i.e 26 Jan - 25 Feb & 26 Feb - 25 Mar.
                                      Hope not to happpen this issue with anybody else.

                                      Hope to get my bills immediately and will grateful to everybody.
