i am using airtel postpaid 3g modem for almost 3 months. up to 3 months i paid through actual plan 950+taxes and from fourth month the generated bill is 22000 and it is keep on increasing...for this i contact many persons in airtel but no response but now they are keep on calling for payment.......i verified in my bill i used 1.6gb more than my bill for that the money is 500 and something because 3p for 10kb in the sense......

AirTel — overcharging of monthly bill

I am having a corporate connection in my name.I got bill for the month nof March-2008 for Rs.1058.77 in which a sum of Rs.199/-has been charged as Value added Service charges for which I had never asked the co.fficials to activate this service since I took the connection. Similarly they have charged Rs.50/- as late fee for making payment of disputed bill late. I sent two faxes to the customer care centre to deduct this excess charged amount from my bill which they have not done so far. However, I deposited Rs.360/- on[protected] but I am sorry to point out here that not to speak of curtailing excess amount charged to the tuine of Rs.259/- but they have disconnected my connection[protected] since April1, 2008. Since beginning of my connection, co. has been providing me full satisfactory service but for the last 4 months I have been meeting the same problem of excess charging of mobile bills.The co. officials at the customer care centre have not responded to my any fax message sent so far.my connection has been disconnected since April-2008 for which period I would not pay any rental and through this writing again inform you to grt my excess amount deducted out of my March bill so that I settle its balance amount and restoe my number immediately for avoidance of my further future unnecessary harrassment otherwise I will be compelled tomove to the consumer court for redressal of my complaint and necessary compensation for the unnecessary harassment given to me.I am Deputy Manager in a Nationalised Bank.

My airtel beronband bill galat amount ka baneya gya hai, jo ki muge 499/=+serives tax lagakar batiaya gya tha, jise 743/=(aprox) ka bana dia gya hai, jisme mane net uses (1.GB) se bhie kam use hua hai, aur ies se phele (14) din ka bill bhi, 482/= ka bana kar diy gya tha, jiske shikayat maine sanjay palace me ki thi to unhone kha ki agga bill me adjust ho kar aa gyga, jo ki ab tak sahi nai hua hai, please bill sahi karnea ki krypya kary,

    I am an Airtel User and have been Airtel Postpaid connection since last two years. Recently I checked my bill and found that the extra charge is being taken form me for some months. I talked to customer Care Service in Airtel but they replied that your Scheme/Plan(seeing that I purchased Airtel Service) has been finished. Without prior information How could they stop the plan and now they are adding late fee also in my bill despite of their mistake.

        Query: Airtel Postpaid billing issue with Gprs

        I have been a customer with Airtel last 5 years with the same number and i have also been using GPRS for my phone for the last 3 years or more. I have been a prompt on paying my bill you can have a look at my payment history. I have been using GPRS carefully all these years knowing the limit factors and the additional charges after the 2GB exhaustion.

        Last month Airtel GPRS services came as a shock to me.

        On 5th Dec 2012 - I get a sms saying i have used the 1GB out of the 2 GB i have.
        I was on the understanding that this is the GPRS bill charges carried forward from the last bill.
        Also i couldn't believe how can one consume 1 GB in one day. (After the bill came i realized this)

        On 12/12/12 - I received an sms - i have consumed 1.1GB / 2 GB i have.
        since then I have been very careful and i have been using WIFI connection then onwards...

        ------After this i have NOT received any SMS regarding my consumption of 2GB GPRS(100% usuage) or my bill getting close to Credit limit of Rs.2500.00------

        The real shocker came on...

        On 18/12/12 - I get a message that my Airtel bill is suspended as my usage exceeds my credit limit. My bill is now Rs.4257.00

        On 19/12/12 - i get a message my GPRS consumption is 3.3GB against 2048 MB.

        After this my Airtel outgoing is barred and the unbilled amount went as high as Rs. 7575/-.

        I got my bill yesterday and my GPRS bill breakup was totally incorrect, excessive charges were made, the volume was so high and i have definitely not used it. There has been a mistake with the billing and i can prove that.

        I have made a note of when the GPRS i have been using last month and those exorbitant charges are unacceptable.
        I have saved all the necessary details regarding this to prove it.

        Kindly take necessary action in the next 24 hours and reverse the excess GPRS charges on my bill.

I had purchase your prepaid GPRS Card (amount Rs. 450 for unlimited internet access for one month) and i had registered 10 digits pin no. from my prepaid Airtel no. as i mention above on 28 march 2009, in reponse i got a message that service will be activated within 48 hours, but service is not activated till now. I call customer care so many times but i did not get any satisactory response so far from your side. If i did not get your assistence within 15 days i will consider a case of fraud by your Airtel Pvt. Ltd. Company and i will filed a case against you in Allahabad High Court Uttar pradesh.

        Airtel prepaid and GPRS — Wrong information by customer care and fraud in GPRS billing

        SMS regarding footbal news was activated , i don't know by whom. I started receiving the SMS since more than a month. I realised some amount is being deducted from my account and called customer care, they said an amount of Rs 1 is deducted for this service and it was activated only 2 days back but the fact is i was receiving this message since more than a month back.

        Other problem i faced is the call i receive from airtel regarding some hello tune which i had asked to stop. I started receiving the call again after a week.

        The biggest problem i have is with the network connectivity at the place i stay and GPRS internet billing. Its even very hard to explain it.

        Will these issue be addressed ?

            Hi Airtel,
            I wish to lodge a complaint for unreasonable deduction from my Prepaid balance. Here are the details:
            [protected]G balance low, decided to recharge it.
            15:14 Recharge done for 333. Balance=512.05
            15:23 3G pack enabled for 1GB and Rs 252,
            15:26 3G balance checked via *123*11#, balance shown as 1048.600
            15:42 SMS received for "Account has been recharged with 5.000 Rupees"
            15:42 SMS received for "You are entitled to 50.000 Rupees local and STD minutes DA10"
            19:[protected] Current balance being shown as Rs 12.814. This amount is not changing despite making calls.
            16:[protected] Checked *123*10# for DA10, found Rs 46 balance there.

            No calls were made between this period. 3G usage was made only after verifying existing 3G balance.
            Please explain where did my balance amount of 512.05-252=260.05 Rs go? This is very frustrating.
            Also, since I have not requested DA10, how did it get enabled?

              Sir,
              Due to my job requirement my address is P.O Deuduar, Changsari, Dist: Kamrup 781101, Assam, India.
              I would like to notify that this area is neglected and it seems like I am wasting my money in internet. There is no 3g coverage and my gprs speed and ping is very low instead of a good network strength. Whenever I contact technical support they only give one solution, "delete temporary files and cache" which is not the problem. I have tested nearby areas and there the internet speed was satisfactory but not in this area.

              Airtel — Poor Mobile Internet Service

              Hi everyone,

              I feel unfortunate to have switched my service provider from a wonderful Vodafone to awful Airtel.

              I generally switched the service because of the 98 Rs mobile internet plan that was available with Airtel and not with Vodafone. The time I planned the move Vodaphone called to provide even better plan but I made my mind to move as I heard a lot good about Airtel (rather I feel it's now good for nothing, they WERE good) as I can see how well they handle their customer problem, rather turn their problem into frustration. I was told after I switched the service that the plan is no more available and that they can offer me 149 Rs NOP Unlimited mobile internet plan. But since they cannot deliver the service even with this. Now they want me to move to 198 Rs 2 GB plan, I want to know why should I pay extra because of Airtel's error. My phone which I brought to see emails on the move is just a talking box. I am facing a lot of trouble with my business but I am also persistent that Airtel have to look to me and my problem and feel sorry.

              On 26th February I got to know this is 149 NOP service is activated but I couldn't use it because there was setting problem. It took 20 day for Airtel to start internet on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. After that the trouble started though it started with my switch of service but here the internet never worked. They could not provide me a satisfactory answer or any solution.

              About 4 time I wrote emails to every Airtel address that was present and about 32 times I called to every possible department who only said to trust them and that they will fix it.

              Last I called NODAL office of Airtel where they said they (technical team) will call me in 24 hrs but its 6th day since then and no sign of them yet. What a stupidity of mine to trust their words after such length of horror. The NODAL office said trust me and this is not a usual Airtel call center and there is a big difference. Now I got to know what she is talking about. That I shouldn't expect a call which you can expect from the usual call center of their's.

              I do not know if they will fix my service or not but I have made my mind to move my 7 corporate connections from Airtel to back to Vodaphone.

              Not only this I have two seprate 512KBPS broadband Airtel Lines installed at my office and they both works on their own will. Every now and then the internet disconnects. This is happening for last 5 months. I have finally thought of getting rid of the name Airtel from my life as I had enough of it.

              I do not think that they have handled this portability thing well. This has significantly deteriorated their services, as the load has increased. Now I would suggest everyone to think before you buy. It's no more the same cake.

              Airtel — Very poor internet service

              Due to my job requirement my address is P.O Deuduar, Changsari, Dist: Kamrup 781101, Assam, India.
              I would like to notify that this area is neglected and it seems like I am wasting my money in internet. There is no 3g coverage and my gprs speed and ping is very low instead of a good network strength. Whenever I contact technical support they only give one solution, (delete temporary files and cache) which is not the problem. I have tested nearby areas and there the internet speed was satisfactory but not in this area.

                Placed an airtel broadband request on 12/12/12 using gosf. Also paid Rs.45 for the same. From then, there has been no interaction from the side of airtel whatsoever. We have been contacting them on 121, only to get response that they can't handle online requests. We were asked to mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com. We did it and also got an autoreply that said that we would be contacted within a day which did not happen.

                    airtel has deducted money on[protected] time 8 pm from my prepaid mobile number[protected] on the name of some services that i have not downloaded amount is 20+25 after calling customer care they have agreed to refund 20 rs and have done but they have not refunded me another 25 rs i want to ask AIRTEL that on what basis they are deducting money some months back this scam has happened before like this and i somehow managed to get refund of the deducted amount i have also filed my complaint regarding 18 january 25 rs money deduction complaint but till now no airtel official has cared to contact or solve my issue i will certainly change my tele operator if they do not reimburse my deducted amount

                    This is to inform you that The Bharti Airtel Mobile Company has become a faction of highway robbery. They have collected from my balance amount a sum of Rs75/- for a soft ware that has not been downloaded. When I contacted the customer care they said that the software could be found somewhere in the phone. I have searched the phone but no games have been downloaded. More over I never opted for such a game and they never asked me whether I would like to download the games. It is the bounden duty of the company to get my permission before collecting any money from me. But as this balance is at their disposal they simply pocketed the money without my permission and demand for any games.
                    So it is highly irregular, illegal, criminal and tantamount to highway robbery. Henceforth I warn all our friends and Bharti Airtel customers to be wary of the oncoming hazard.

Please try after some time in my mail Id a comment comes according to complain by Bharti Airtel ltd. They promise me to solve my problem.but the problem is still going on.so please please solve my problem.
                    IM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED with airtel services as no airtel official till now has contacted on call/sms or email and when i somehow managed to contact customer care the phone was disconnected by the supervisor whom telecaller transferred phone in future i will not choose airtel and also change my correct operator IF I DONOT GET REFUND OF MY AMOUNT 25 inr in my prepaid number [protected]
                    TILL TODAY no airtel official has cared to contact me nor they have reimbursed the deducted amount really guys they are running a scam business they will empty ur entire balance with some services that u have not downloaded

                      Today on 21st January 2013, I got a missed call from [protected] at IST 11:40 AM. After searching on Google, I found that, this no is from Pakistan and many people got missed call from such numbers from Pakistan.

                      I request the concerned authority to take an immediate action against such instance. I am worried that, from where they got my number.

                      Is this AIRTEL Mobile company so careless that anyone can access their database and neglecting the security of their customers.

                      Hope, in future, I will not get such missed calls.

                            I am a Airtel Prepaid customer for the past 3 years and recently i have been facing many problem on automatic deduction in the name of "Easy Search" amounting to Rs 1.5...wen i checked the logs i saw that 5 tymes my account has been deducted wid 1.5 and even though i contacted the customer care they were unable to attend my problem and instead blaming me.
                            The supervisors also were rude to me sayin that they have not got any sort of complaints and blamed that it was bcoz i was using internet service due to which it is deducted but i havent used internet in my mobile for past a year.

                            When contacted with my friends they too had the same problem and i think airtel is cheating customer and not able to provide valid reason for it seems to be a gimmick from the customer care persons who should be educated enough to understand the problem and solve...

                            i am in the verge of changing my network or sought legal action....

                            I have called the airtel cutomer service to activate do not disturb like 5 months ago for my moms mobile and they said that it will be activated in 45 days a rediculous time gap they have given but still i said ok but they keep on sending my mom the same unwanted sms and keep on activating some services which my mom doesnt even know about and started charging rupee at first everyday now it went upto rs5 everyday today i spoke to the customer service representative he said that it was me who activated the service and after a conversation he decided to deactivate the service and to my surprise he said that there is another service which is presently activated on the and asked wether i would like to deactivate it as well (and this service is about some chat with a cricketer it seems) this is the level they are going down to now. Airtel is really becoming a thief in a corporate veil.
                            I would like consumer complaint forum to take some severe actions against these people who think that they are above the law and think themselves as so called GODS.
                            rs.2 per day deduct, why?cell no.[protected] please call me for more problum.if not cal i will use port.

                                Yesterday I got a call from [protected] saying I won a lottery for 25 lakhs and when the call was cut, the money was deducted from my prepaid number. The attrocious thing is that when i called Airtel call centre, they tell me it is an outgoing call from my number and washed their hands off the issue. There seems to be a very deep nexus between Airtel and the guys from Pakistan. I wonder how many more people would be penalised for no fault of theirs. I sincerely request the Government to seriously look into this matter.

                                I have received a missed call from pakistan[protected] I have redialed this number without knowing this call was from Pakistan.
                                I checked in the goole there was somany complaints about similar to this type call. Airtel has to take a precautionary measures to aviod this kind o[censored]nknown calls from pakistan.

                                Today (November 20, 2012) I received a missed call at from [protected]. I called back the number immediately, and the person from the other end responded and requested me to speak in Hindi as he doesnt know English. When I asked about his details, he claimed calling from AIRTEL Cust. Care Center, Mumbai and informed that i was picked up as one of the lucky winners worth of Rs. 25L from Airtel subscribers in India. Also he disclosed my SIM card Number which is exactly the same, asked to check and revert for producing details towards further process to claim lottery money which is part of promotional activities of AIRTEL.

                                I was bit perplexed as this number is from Pakistan. This is very dangerous act if turns to adverse situations and making us (common Indian citizens) as victims. Hence, please do not respond to such calls unless you know them. I also demand AIRTEL and Telecom Ministry, Govt.of India that they should take concrete measurements to avoid such acts carried out by terrorist groups which is primary responsibility of Government and the vendor - AIRTEL.

                                  I , Mrs. Meena Sudhakar Patole request you that I had taken two sim cards in the year 2011. From your sellers who came to my house for selling sim cards saying that this is only for govt employees & with min charges we are offering. The charges they told me was 150 local min free , 150 sms’s & all this was per month. The charges 10p per min local , 30 per min std is charged only when you exceeds the limit of said 150 min & regarding this they also told me that you get our bill every month but you don’t have to pay that bill only with exception of limited call of 150 min.
                                  In the month of July I have got your first bill of Rs.175 without refusing I paid that but it again happened in next month the same bill I have got with the support of above said conditions my local min’s didn’t over but still I have got that bill. I ignore that bill, after few months when the bill amount was increased by Rs.1600 your legal department officer call me, & after getting all other legal reasons, I pay that bill amount to your person who came to my house for collect money at that time I told him to deactivate my both sim’s. He took bill amont of both sim cards, & I also fill the form for the deactivation in front of him. On the next day your legal department Miss nickki call me & say that your request for deactivation accepted & I stoped using that sim cards from that date. After few months I have got same amount of bill Rs.1200. I already stoped to use that sim’s but still I’m getting that bill & your legal department man call me harrasing me , giving bad words to me. I am not going to pay that bill which I have already stop using. You take serious action against this, if you fail to do so, I’m going to complaint this matter to consumer court.                                       with ref to above ; i had taken an new airtel dth hd connection on 14/10/12( online) on the
                                      basis of good quality of serivce. within hrs after talking new connection , the qualitity of service were very badly reflected then & there & upto this date filing compliant. below are the summerised details of complaint

                                      1, after buying online on 14/10/2012 at 14.00hrs , there was no any response whn they ill come fitting .i had asked them come nxt day moring . only after myself calling @ 12.oopm next day, the people from local office came to install by 4pm. due the very bad communication between the company & local dtch dealer , i had to waste one day waiting without doing my work at shop


                                      2, i had paid 2890 rs. i had asked for transperent account statment for which particulars of the money have been accounted .more over there was offer 250rs cash back offer to be credited back to my main account. they didint credit it to my account & they give an improper response.


                                      3,stp box had three stickers of same serial nos of one & others with 3 stickers stuck on it

                                      4A, on nov 29th 2012 i have recharged for 1 st time after installation. >the validity of account should expire on 29/12/2012. it got expired on
                                      17th dec 2012.

                                      5, new hd setup box have recording option with remote . whn i had asked them to activate the recording faclity , they told me that i had to purchase new remote free of cost from local office . when i had gone to office,they told me it chargable. followed by that i called the call centre & reply was not satisfactory

                                      6, i hav again recharged the dth from dec to jan for which i had paid foll amount & they cut two hd channels ( 15 hd channels are there in package).more over whn i had asked them to activate on channel, they ill b activating some other channels that i havent asked them to do so


                                      7, when i receive sms for monthly subscrption ( ulta hd 1month pack ) amountto be paid is different from what i hear from call centre for montly subscription charges

                                      8, with myself terrebly fadup with the serivce i told them that i want to terminate connection & asked them for refund of rs 2890. on returning back the amount,i told them
                                      that ill b giving the stepup box & other items . unforunatly i had received the email stating that they wont give back the amount & i had to give the stuffs .


                                      9, nearly for one & half months, every day i used to receive an auto reply message "we have
                                      received the ur compilant & ill respond soon

                                      10, seven days before activation expires, every day i used to get the message " pay soon to enjoy continoued service ". i had asked them not to
                                      repeat serval times .

                                      Airtel Digital (DTH) — Improper service

                                      We have taken a DTH connection from Airtel Digital last year with South Ultra pack free for 6 months. After the free subscription period of 6 months is over, I have renewed the subscription for a year. After this we have started facing problems with respect to reception of channels. All the general entertainment, movie and sports channels were not coming. We have complained a number of times by calling the call centre as well as put a mail dated 22nd March on [protected]@airtel.in. Until now I have got no reply for the mail (except for an auto reply saying that I will get a revert on the mail soon).

                                      One more problem is that when an airtel mobile is used near the Set-top-box, the reception of the signal gets disturbed (very similar to what happens when rain comes). I have called up the call centre to ask for a solution, the executive said that there is no solution for the problem and that I have to change either the DTH connection or the mobile connection.

I am unable to see any channel (HD). After contcting airtel customer care I have been told that I will have to pay extra money. I agreed to that but it seems engineer has to come to my premises for some configuration due to migration of satellite.

                                      I have been following this from 5-7 days but only getting false promises from executive that the Enginner will come within 48 hr. Nobody has visited my place till date.

                                      I have also raised this issue with their superior but it did not progressed.

                                        I applied for MNP from Aircel Kerala prepaid to Airtel prepaid and taken new SIM by submitted all necessary documents on 11th January 2013.
                                        I received a message on dated 16 Jan 2013, ( Namaste, Request Validated by Donor and Porting time[protected]:27:00.42).
                                        On[protected]:27:00 my exiting Aircel Kerala terminated their services, But still after 12 hours my SIM whichever provide by Airtel not activated. Your executives says switch off and Switch On your mobile I tried it for several times. Here Airtel Network Coverage is very good. At the time of PORTING i ensure the retailer that, I wont be there in Kerala for next 2 or three weeks is it possible to port now, the the retailer called Airtel care and then confirm about it.Then he assure there is no problem. Now there is no Signal for new Airtel SIM. when I am trying to contact customer care, they are saying there is no option for them , and I want to go back to the retailer. it is not possible for me. Can I contact Airtel Care @ Bangalore and replace new Sim?
                                        I am missing lots of call... I am very harassed & mentally disturb due to non-working of my no. I am not getting proper information from any one. Please give proper Solution ASAP

                                        AirTel — Network & New Sim

                                        I have been using airtel service since more than 1 and half year, i had never faced any problem in the service and network from airtel.
                                        Since 2 months i have been facing big time network problem and have lodged complaint for the same, but nothin helped. After a a gap of 2 months i received a call from airtel, the gentlemen asked me to visit the nearest airtel gallery and get my simcard checked for the network problem. On 21st April evening i visited the Mahim Airtel Relationship centre in the evening at about 6.15, where i had to wait for an hour. the gentlemen named Kiran attended me and replaced my sim card with a new one, and assured me that the sim would get activated within 10-15 minutes, its been more than 19 hours my new card has not yet got activated and i am still facing the same network problem.

                                        As per my Mail you are not look in the main mater I am underline the problem. I AM FACING THE MAIN PROBLEM IN Romming in J&K & Panjab.
                                        It Has been more than a year using my airtel. Suddenly from one day there had been network problem in Romming & Moti Bagh . I had made an complain and it was resolved saying that network was weak. Again the same thing happened and it was again resolved assuring it won’t happened again. But this time it has been more than a 3 month I am not able to remake calls or rec calls in my Romming & Moti Bagh for every call not only me but my staffs are moving out of the Romming same is happened ?. After the complain even the conditions have gone worse. Beside my several complains and correspondence there is no response this time. Since we are in logistics business and it would not be easy to change our numbers. We are fallen in a deep trouble. Every second gets disconnected due to connection error. People are not able to call us saying network busy.& call drop IN ROMMING Its been heights this time. Its onsite otherwise in would had [censored] those airtel people.

After 2 years I had rechecked my number details where I have found that wrong info. had been filled by the company. And I want my problem to be solved as soon as possible.

                                        Airtel — New SIM presently out of order

                                        I have purchased a new SIM of airtel Prepaid from the distributors at Sakhigopal possesses the Mobile No.[protected] . It was working alright till 05 Dec 2009. Hence new offere facility recharge coupon I have charged of Rs 50/-(Power Plus) and then recharged with Rs 340/-.
                                        On dated 06 Dec 2009 it was declared that Out going call facility is blocked.I contacted to the customer care and the as per their need I had given all the requisite datas .I placed complaints before the distributor retailer Mr.Durga Mishra about the same case.He had solaced to wait and within no time your mobile will be updated.
                                        After 2 days the incoming facility was also blocked and the same was informed to the above named retailer.He had assured that airtel might have blocked incoming as well as outgoing to make it through after thorough processing.
                                        Now..just see today is 30 Dec 2009 and the same mobile phone no i,e, [protected] is totally blocked and customer care is still assuring to wait.
                                        Such negligence to cheat the customer is not justified at all and the timing of powert plus and amount recharged can not be claimed.
                                        such fake assurance given by Airtel mobile phone provider is really disgusting and the customer is frustrated .
                                        What are the next steps to be taken to activate the Mobile no of above airtel no. and Whether my recharged amount will be refunded or not ...give me some guidelines kindly.
                                        I have lost my SIM card near about 2 yrs. before.. The MOBILE No. is [protected]. And The SIM No. is [protected].
                                        The SIM is allotted by my uncle... So, please send me the details of the SIM immediately to my e-mail id..

                                        Let me brief this( i put a top up of rs 110 denomination ( transaction id [protected])on23rd jan night .But due to ignorance of the stupid retailer who is running the shop in muthapudupet the very first shop after muthapudupet kendriya vidyalaya . My 110 has gone to booster pack. This was not told by the retailer. Now after putting rs 110 my balance is still zero. Because the 110 has been utilized as a booster pack rather to make top up.Hence i request to revert it

                                        I have applied for MNP from aircel to airtel ([protected]) and i got unique i.d. (DA142973) also. I have submitted all the documents related to the issue and i got airtel sim on 5-2-2011. But this sim not activated yet for 13 days. I have contact with both services but they are saying that they dont have details about it.

                                        i contacted the customer care and even visited the Airtel Store also, but i see no responce or results. This is very irritating & i am not going to bare this anymore.

I was in the need of one MNP sim so I contacted my distributor for the same but he deny me and asked me to by 5 sim, so i made a complain to the ASM Mr. Pramjeet his answer was also the same that we can't provide you 1 sim you have to purchase 5 sim. so please give me remmedy.

                                        Hello Sir,

                                        I had applied for MNP from Loop Mobile postpaid to Airtel prepaid and bought the new SIM after submitting all the necessary documents on 6th July 2013. I received a message on dated 12 Jul 2013, ( Namaste, Request Validated by Donor and Porting time[protected]T 22:00:00.000+5:30).
                                        On[protected], 22:27:00 my existing Loop Mobile network provider terminated their services, however, even after 12 hours my SIM which was provided by Airtel did not get activated. It is mentioned on the Airtel website that the new simcard gets activated within 2 hours, and I have attached a screenshot.
                                        I called up the customer care executives next day morning and all they said was to switch off and switch on the mobile phone, while removing and inserting the simcard again, which I tried it for several times. Here Airtel Network Coverage is very good, so theres is no problem of coverage area. As of now, there is no signal at all, for the new Airtel simcard.

                                        When I am trying to contact customer care again, they are saying there is no option for them, and I need to go to the retailer. I did go to the retailer, however, the executive did not know what to do, and after ignoring me for about 5 minutes, even though I was sitting right across her, she contacted the manager. The manager took his time and after 15-20 minutes later, told the executive to send an email to someone. To me, he said that the service will be active in 3-4 hours for sure. (By the way, there was just one executive for taking care of customer issues, who was handling two customers at the same time, and other two counters were for collecting documents and for collecting the bill money respectively, two seats on the executive side not occupied by the executives themselves) But it did not get activated. This just showed that either the manager had no idea of what to do, or he was just trying to ignore the issue and push the problem to someone else, leaving the customer (me), hanging.
                                        Later, I called up the Airtel customer care many times later, yet they only told me to either wait for 3-4 hours (every time) (and which I did, unfortunately) or go to retail. Finally I found out about the airtel_presence twitter account and told them the issue. I got a call from them though in like 30 minutes, and the person told me to do the same thing, take out your sim, reboot your phone, the service will be activated in 3-4 hours.
                                        Thus, been frustrated, I decided to speak with the manager of the customer care. The executive transferred the call to manager and the manager transferred the called to shop floor manager. I had to tell each one of them the whole story again and again and they were not able to provide solution for my issue. He insisted on me going back to the retail store, that the issue is technical and he cannot handle it there, but been there once, I am pretty sure the manager will just do the same thing again. I asked the shop floor manager for a number, a complaint number if possible, so that the number can be referred to when I complain at the consumer complain forum like this one. However, Airtel does not have that kind of system, and on insisting further, the shop floor manager gave me a fake number, just to pacify me for the time being- [protected]. I know it was fake because I called back and tried to verified but the executive did not know what I was talking about. Now this was the final straw. I was compelled to complain at this forum and all the forums if possible about the way these executives treat their companies customers.

                                        Like five minutes back, I found out about the website www.airtel.in/airtelpresence and I have filled the form @ www.airtel.in/airtelpresence.

                                        I have missed a lot of calls. I am feeling very harassed and mentally disturb due to non-working of my number and the behavior of the executives hired by one of the biggest telecommunication company like Airtel. I am not getting proper information, am spoken to rudely, given wrong information and even cheated. This had to be told to someone responsible, so I am writing here. I hope this does not fall on deaf ears.
