Hi,
Me and my Family live in Ramasamy street in Gopalapuram, airtel number : [protected]_tn.

This is with great frustration I am writing this email... During July 2012, Airtel broadband (4 MBS) was installed and now (September 2012) there are numerous (atleast 15-20) calls made to service centre for disruption of service. The connection is not reliable and there is a pathetic delay in people coming and attending to the calls.
Everytime, they give an ETA of 3 days and after that the problem is fixed temporarily and the problem repeats in less than a week.

I would request an answer ASAP from Airtel:
a. Please give a permanent fix if you are interested in retaining the customer ( or ) DISCONNECT IMMEDIATELY . There are other better companies who would provide a better service than AIRTEL.
b. For service that is not used for more than 15 days in 2 months period, why should Airtel charge me? Is there a way to refund the money back?

Airtel Broadband — BROADBAND NOT WORKING

MY AIRTEL BRAODBAND NO IS [protected] . MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS NOT WORKING SINCE 7-8-2011. MY COMPLAINT NO IS 1980724. THE COMPLAINT IS STILL NOT RESOLVE AND I AM UNABLE TO USE MY INTERNET CONNECTION.

AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICE — Complaint regarding broadband services | MENTALLY THREATENING ME AS A CUSTOMER

I am completely frustrated with the service now a days given by airtel. Though I am Airtel customer since last 6+ years, never faced such a pathetic situation. In last 6 months I have raised aprox 20+ complains, few are listed below for the reference. Almost every evening I am calling the customer care and asking update on my complain. Some time they say ticket is resolved and some time your ticket is in reopen state very soon some back end person get in touch with you and will resolve the problem. But nothing is going forward since 28th Oct. Mean while I had call with supervisor as well in the customer care, he also repeated same response.

    I have been Airtel customer[protected] for more than 2 years and I had pretty good experience till MAY-2012. There were few small incidents but i believe they can be excused.
    In MAY 2012, all the hell broke out. There was heavy rain on 15 MAY in my area ( BTM layout 2nd stage) and internet stopped working. I called up airtel customer care about the issue. They informed me that router in that area was burnt and the issue will be fixed in a day or two. 18-MAY, I call up airtel customer service to inform that the issue is still not fixed even though i had informed about it. Customer care informs me that i had not complained on 15th and there are no records of same. I asked them to take a note of the issue and record it.

    I got a call from local technician on 20th MAY informing that he would visit my place at 2pm to see if there was any issue. I waited for him around 3 hrs and called him several times to check if he is coming. End of the day he calls me up and abuses that i was distrubing his work. Looks like his time was more precious than mine.

    I kept calling customer care support every day from 20th MAY to 28th MAY hoping that the issue would be resolved sooner. Finally, i gave up and requested Airtel to disconnect my broadband. That made AIRTEL to finally take me seriously, then there was call from retention department and some other people calling me informing that the issue would be fixed in a day max. Then i waited for another 3 days and the issue was still not fixed. Finally, I asked them to disconnect my
    connection immediately and issue me final bill. They take connection and my router, inform me that router amount will be adjusted in the bill.

    To my surprise, the bill was RS.3000/-. I called up airtel customer people and informed them that i was incorrectly billed. Since I was to pay only one month and 10 days bill, which would be 1212 + 404 = 1616. The modem would cost = Rs. 1400 , I had made initial deposit of = Rs.250. Logically, i had nothing to pay to airtel. Even if they wanted me to pay something should not be more than Rs.500/- . Then, they kept calling me, harassing me almost every day to make payment .

    I would get a call from random number and they would ask me to pay money using abusing language. Initially, I kept my cool and explained every number that there is a misunderstanding. Called customer care and explained several times about billing issue. There seems to standard reply and to my surprise lot of time, my issue was not even recorded. After harassing me on regular basis, Finally, some one took my incident into consideration and changed my bill to Rs. 2200/- . I have now received a sms about case being filed for bill payment. I have no clue, what should do about it.

    These AIRTEL PEOPLE ARE FRAUD AND CHEAT PEOPLE. ( I would request everyone not to buy any connection from AIRTEL )

      I have never opted for this"fusion lounge_1. But i have been wrongly charged for it. Also, when i called their cuatomer care, they are saying call on this number, message on that number.. And when i send message, they say that my mobile has not activated for any service.Then why i m being charged for it????? Please do somethin..

        Ref. Cust. id [protected], paid 1790/- online on 23.7.12 transaction id 20662917, order no.2353221 installed on 27.7.12.
        Airtel digital TV website advertised on its main/first page, 'buy online & get Reebok watch' and on 2nd page, 'pay one price.get any pack.get free....Reebok watch worth 2599/-'. ONLY after seeing this, I opted for airtel and applied for new DTH connection by uploading my name & mobile number on this website. On telephonic call from Airtel Delhi office, I was told to pay by credit card through mobile itself (IVR). And at that time I also confirmed about this free gift of watch. I was told by the caller that promotional offers are sent by sales team after 1 week of installation. Prints of both these pages from airtel website are with me which clearly says that Reebok watch will be sent free on new connection. I applied for the new connection by giving my name & phone number online on website only.
        IT IS CLEAR CASE OF CHEATING, MISLEADING/FALSE ADVETISEMENT. Airtel after my complaint, has removed this 'free watch'offer from its website which means that it understood that its cheating has been exposed.

          hi,

          My complaint is regarding my AIRTEL's landline +91-[protected] .,...I've been using this landline along with internet and IPTV

          for around 2 years ... Recently I shifted my residence within close proximity to the previous residence ..I've been following

          up with Airtel for last 1 month now to transfer my connection ...

          First their customer care is pathetic in listening/understanding customer's reason(s) for calling them and secondly the kind

          of replies I've been getting from their end is totally unsatisfactory ...

          First they committed that they will take care of transfer within 5 days but later when I called up to followup on my original

          request, I came to know that they have closed my request without informing me ..I again lodged a new request and after 3

          days, I got to hear from them that their is no technical feasibility in my area ...This was kind of surprising to find out as

          my neighbors are using Airtel's services only. Anyhow I tried to several follow up to asking them to give me the correct

          reason for not going ahead with my connection transfer request, but their customer care is kind of least bothered in

          understanding my concerns and replying with similar kind of words related to lack of Technical Feasibility ......

          They have even advised me to go ahead with discontinuation of Airtel's services and rasie a request for the same ... It's

          kind of shocking to know that the company that claims to be top service provider has such pathetic reasons/advice to their

          customers....

          They should either tell upfront that they are INCAPABLE of serving customer in case they transfer their residence .... I've

          even requested them not to generate my bill as I am no longer using their services but haven't got any acknowledgement for

          the same ...

          I am copy/pasting my recent mail conversation(s) with them ...I would advice everyone not to trust merely by the brand name

          as they might give you trouble in longer run ..It's not easy for me that I now have to change my telephone number despite to

          paying around INR 1800 p.m bill(s) in the past ...

          I've shifted my address from 304, Kangra Niketan, Vikaspuri, New Delhi-110018
          to the following address:
          B-7, New Krishna Park, First Floor, New Delhi-110018

          Few days back, I've contacted customer care requesting them to transfer my
          existing connection comprising of landline, iptv and internet...My request was
          taken and they provided me the reference number...Couple of days later I
          received call stating that there is no feasibility for airtel connection in
          that area which was quite surprising...anyways i confirmed the address from the
          lady and to my surprise, they have noted wrong address....I updated her with
          the correct address and asked her to check the feasibility again....Couple of
          hours later, I again called up customer care enquring about the status and was
          shocked to find out that my original request was closed without informing
          me.....

          They again took the requisite details from me and generated the new
          request....Today, I got a call from person named Vijay stating that there is
          feasibility of airtel in the area where I've shifted but no more connection
          ports available and thus airtel can't go ahead with the request at this point
          of time....

          Few Things:
          1. What do you mean by no more connection ports available at the moment?
          2. It's airtel responsibility to make sure connection gets installed if there
          is feasibility in the area?
          3. When I've already updated my address in your system and no longer using the
          services, what for I am being charged?
          4. I can not wait for long and customer care need to provide right information
          at the first stance...

          Would appreciate if corrective action can be taken at the earliest and my
          connection is restored without inviting management escalations.

          Title : Airtel's poor service on transfer of phone

          Complaint : On 7 July 08, I requested Airtel to shift my landline phone from Delhi to Noida address. (Call reference no is 132591). I was promised by Airtel that shifting will be done in max 5 days. Nothing happened even after 7 days - I did not receive any call from Airtel nor the transfer was done so I called up airtel again on 14 july 08 (Reference no 9225686) and got the rude reply that it is under processing and will be done in 1 day. Nothing happened even after 24 hrs and I called up Airtel again on 15 july, the cc representative again said it is under processing and he is mailing the concerned department and shifting will be done on priority basis. Nothing happened till 17 july. Today I again called up airtel and got the same reply - it is under processing (reference no[protected] This attitude of the India's largest service provider is shameful. Had I requested for a new connection, the whole airtel would have been on my door in 2 hrs. I have incurred huge personal and business loses due to unavailability of phone.
          I am in bangalore using Airtel POST PAID for a long time. This peoples are cheating fellows. They are completly against the words entered on their t-shirts" AT YOUR Services".. No One in Airtel is providing correct information. They always says "sorry sir". Worst people. Even some one who is talking to us mentioning as manager also lieing. 100% in Services. Unresponsible people. Peoples don't USE AIRTEL. Please beware. Don't belive their ORAL WORDS. 100% They won't make their words.

                Sir! I am tired of this service provider. They have deducted my balance yet again. I hav lost lot of money in past and losing. For now, they have deducted 90rupees in 3 succesive deductions. I used its service for ths long coz of its beta network support. But, i'm tired with ths frequent deductions. After ths i'm thinking to change to any beta alternative. Plz, resolve this issue.

                  Hi Sir,

                  Today i have done the msg to close one during evening time for that the Airtel service provider have deducted rs 3 for 2 msg, but i put the msg booster rs 60 its a two month validity (Local & National).

                  Even yesterday they have deducted 3 rs while calling to customer care they didnt give proper reason said that i msg to Andhra pradesh no, but i used send msg to other state even i have the booster validity. after the clarification they have been re debited rs 3..

                  But today i made call to customer service they didnt give proper information while asking they dropper the call, again i tried to customer care but they said that i made call to AP No really i didnt make call hole day, but they didnt agree and they said unknown no which i didnt have it right no.

                  This is unfair & i didnt expect it from the airtel service provider...

COMPANY TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO SOLVE THE ONE TIME FREE INSTALLATION / FITMENT OF DISH ANTENNA AS THE SATELLITE POSITIONED HAS CHANGED. REPEATED COMPLAIN WAS LODGED FROM THAT DAY ONWARD. IN THE MEAN TIME COMPANY TECHNICIAN MR. SHAM MOB NO [protected] (AIRTEL) HAS CHARGED 260 FOR REPLACING THE ANTENNA RECEPTOR (ATTACHED WITH ANTENNA TO RECEIVE GOOD SIGNAL) , BUT THE PROBLEM WAS STILL EXISTING. AT LAST AGAIN COMPLAIN WAS LODGED ON 13 SEP 12 AND WAS RESOLVED ON 21 SEP 12 BY CHARGING 350 AS SHIFTING THE ANTENNA TO 05 METER DISTANCE OF SAME AREA, WHEREAS IT WAS SHOULD BE ONE TIME FREE AS THE SATELLITE POSITIONED HAS CHANGED. IT IS REQUESTED THAT THE AMOUNT FOR THE NON OPERATIONAL DAY TO BE CREDITED IN MY AIRTEL DIGITAL ACCOUNT [protected].

                          i have ordered for Magnum1M790 plan and paid Rs.1790/= on line, which is yet to be installed and I intend to change it into Mega Pack 12 Month plan for Rs.4680/= and ready to pay difference amount of Rs.2680/= before commencement of connection. I tried twice on Customer Care number, but
                          nobody knows how to do it, even a senior executive, who asked me recharge online, which is for existing running plan, whereas I want to change my plan before installation.                               I shifted my house on 01 Aug 2008 & requested to transfer my MULTIPLE connection (phone no [protected]) on 07 aug 08 vide request no 31339 dated 07 aug 08 Application recieved by DS Tomar in Airtel Webworld at Phool Bag Gwalior (MP) I contected many times at Phone No [protected] but got reply that it is not possible because of objection by your neighbour as he did not permitt us to lay the cable. I spoke to my neighbour he was agreed. once again I visited the Webworld after a week and requested them to do it faster he took action at the same time but their was no response from other end. I also conformed about charges. He told that company reserve seven days for work but if not able to connect than there will be no billing against such connection. Now after a long wait I have taken connection from BSNL As I checked my old account of Airtel I saw a bill for Rs 616/- for the period from 02 aug 08 to 01 sep 08 So I request you to look in to the matter seriously & resolve this issue.

                              I have fixed airtel line [protected] at C-2625, Sushant Lok-1 in the name of Mr.R.P.Sharma. I visited your office at Galleria, DLF paid Rs500/- for a new connection. When the installer came we called 121 to cancel the old connection. But the person responding from other side argued as to why should I disconnect my fixed line which is more than 8 years, instead I will be provided a router free of cost and paid my pending bill of Rs.1670/- This matter is hanging fire since last seven days and no body is responding and my SR is cancelled. I am told that the phone number they have on record [protected] is not responding. I have advised them this phone number is defunct and belongs to my wife who is divorced and does not live with me.                                 I have a 8 mbps 30 Gb connection. Even though I still have 3 gb left in my balance and only 3 days remaining in my billing cycle, I am constantly getting the Airtel Smartbytes redirects hijacking my browsing experience. I have already opted multiple times that I would like to continue using my plan and not use smartbytes options (atleast 15 times in the last 2 days). It has also resulted in a failed credit card transaction where my card got charged and transaction didn't get completed thanks to the very timely smartbytes redirect. In the last 10 minutes, I have gotten these alerts 6 times which is ridiculous. Which part of "I want to continue as per my plan" option you dont understand? I would like to disable the smartbytes alert as I dont intend to use this service ever.

                                Please cancel/deactivate the smartbytes alerts for my connection immediately.

                                  On 28th may, Airtel TV activated from my mobile.I deactivated the service on the same day. But on june 2nd i got a meesage from AD-54321 saying "Thanks for using Airtel TV subscription service from Airtel.You have been charged Rs 30.". I called airtel customer care and deactivated the service again.The amount (Rs 30) also refunded.Again on 6th june i got a message from AD-54321 saying "Thanks for using Airtel TV subscription service from Airtel.You have been charged Rs 28." When i called customer care they said, they will deactivate the service and will refund the amount. But till now i didnt get the deactivation message or refund amount. just got a message saying request reference number is CBDMT[protected]. Now iam not even able to contact customer care. It seems like they blocked my number.Could you please help me to resolve the issue. My Mobile number is [protected].
