I am using airtel fixed line broadband services . It was during the 2nd week of june that the sevices were barred due to internal cable damaging in the apartment . The services were resumed after re-routing the cable during the 2nd week of august . But the services were found de-activated due to non-payment of bill which was around 4000 rs for the last 3 months . However , a waiver assurance was given by the airtel guy of amount 1500 and i was told that with payment of rs 2500 my service ll be activated in half an hour . I made the payment on the spot but its been 5 days that the services are still barred . The customer care says that the waiver request has been initiated but unless the billing department confirms the waiver of rs 1500 my services ll not be reactivated because the system is showing it as bill pending amount.After contacting the airtel guy , he says that he has given the waiver of rs1500 and services ll be activated in few hours . These few hours have now become 5 days so far . Customer care says that from their end the waiver request is initiated and from server end the services need to be activated . My trouble is that no one is capable of solving my problem . Everyone is assuring me services re-activation in few hours but no positive effect seen so far . I am thinking to remove the fixed line now .

I was using airtel fixed line broadband services but now I want to deactivate the broadband and fixed line services of airtel as soon as possible. Kindly disconnect it.

    Sir,
    Airtel company imposed value added services (ring tone) on my prepaid mobile ([protected]) without my permission and the company deducted their charges as per the company norms. On 26th of August 2012, I came to know that the company has deducted rs. 45.00 as Value added service charges from my mobile account. During the conversation with customer care representatives (Mr. Mohit and Mr. Ashutosh) I came to know that this service has applied on my mobile since last 3 months. Mr. Ashutosh informed that as per my (Customer) acceptance the service has been provided on my mobile as he said that he has record/ evidence for the same. While I am honestly saying that without my permission this service has been applied on my mobile. I requested to Mr. Ashutosh, as I did not applied for this value added service on my moblie so kindly refund my deducted amount.But he informed that this service has applied on my mobile since last 3 months so he can not refund this amount. If without acceptance of customer, such value added services would be imposed by any company, its really 'cheating the costumer" If it also happaned with other customers then its really astonished and non acceptable. I would like to request the competent authority of Airtel company kindly inquire on this matter and provide me the evidences regarding my acceptance of abovesaid value added services on my email id - [protected]@gmail.com. This information would really be useful for me for necessary action. It is also requested to Airtel company please refund my money in to my account which is deducted for value added services without my permission. If the company will not able to provide me the required information on email then kindly let me know the procedure to get this information as its essential for me. Kindly also inform me that the company comes under RTI act or not ?. If yes kindly provide the Details of PIO and appealate authority nominated under RTI Act 2005 along with their official postal addresses.

    airtel -prepaid — Imposed services

    i am Airtel -Prepaid customer having Number [protected].(MS) Recently there is a deduction for some Value added service from my account. I have not registered any value added service and the customer service has sent me the mail that i have activated some of their value added service 290603. And since a long time they are deducting Rs 3/- per day. which is ridiculous. Airtel is imposing their services and robbing their customers.

    Bharti Airtel — Forceful deduction of money from my prepaid account by company imposed services

    I am a user or airtel prepaid services. I am utterly disturbed by the unwanted messages which are sent to me by airtel, and also some services which i never activate i am charged for on the will of airtel. I think even deleting such messages i am being charged, which they say that i have activated such service. i have talked to several costumer care executives but those duffers are also having any clue how to stop this. So i request you to take this matter with the company for not only me but for thousands of costumers of airtel who are being robbed by airtel on the name of services.

    AirTel — Value added services without permission

    Airtel has activated numerous services without my consent for my mobile number -

    these are hello tune,cricket pack etc...

    I did not request for any of these and my balance has reduced from 300 to 20 just because of this theft,stupidity ..

    Please get deactivated all these idiotic services and refund my balance since providing a value added service , deducting my balance without my consent is a criminal offense..

    I got a massage from airtel company that the concern related to my airtel moblie has been resolved and reference No. has also been given i.e. CHTWC [protected] dated 30th August 2012. As per my knowledge...the concern related to my mobile is still pending. However I received a call from Airtel as he asked me my name only. I am again requesting to the airtel authority kindly provide me the evidences regarding may acceptance for value added services and refund the charges deducted from my account for value added services without my permission.

    I would like to know how did you resolved the matter without satisfaction of any quarries of customer. As per my view all my quarries are still pending at the level of Airtel company. If you itself think that "the matter is resolved without satisfaction of customer as well as without furnishing of any quarries then its your company's decision, but i didnt get back the amount which was deducted or no any massage in this regard except the massage "concern related to your mobile has been resolved". Because what was the outcome of the concern which you have resolved God knows" . Thanks for one sided resolution and spoiling of my time as well as for UNSATISFACTORY RESULT.

      I am subscriber of Bharti Airtel Postpaid mobile services from the last 8 months. From last 3-4 months I am getting charged for unauthorized VAS (Value Added Services). Each month they have been charging more than Rs 150, which is unauthorized. It looks like a scam. They claim that I have clicked some link, and just for clicking a link they charge Rs 50/99. I have been calling them and asking them to revert these charges. If the VAS charge is say Rs 150, they say that they can revert Rs 100, and they pocket the remaining Rs 50. This seems to be a well thought out stratergy to milk-out money from customers. Looking at the number of customers airtel have they could have made millions through this scam. I request you all to make customers/ TRAI aware of this scam.

      Last month (Aug), I got frustrated with this and installed an application on my smartphone so that it blocks all internet access. I thought this could prevent any link being clicked without knowledge and hence getting charged by airtel. I was very happy that this application was working fine and I did nit click any links which could make money for airtel. However when I saw the bill I was horrified. They had charged me Rs 503.30 for VAS, which was 3 times higher than any previous month VAS charges!! though I had installed a filter application!! I complained to airtel call center about this and they registered a complaint numbered 45496276. After couple of days on 28th Aug, customer service lady called up and said I had actually downloaded something for which they are chargin Rs 503.30 I challenged them to prove this and I explained that I had installed a filter application to block this. Then they changed their game plan and said they can give back Rs 400 (its their same old tactic). I am fed up with and raising a complaint here.

      AirTel — charging for unsubscribe services

      my no is [protected]. we have been airtel customers for long years. but we have been facing the problem of being charged for the services we dont subscribe at all. we often get calls for additional services which we are not interested at all. still they keep calling. and above all many times we have been charged rental charges for those services and when we complain they show us deaf ears and dont refund the money also. they tell that they got confirmation from us. its impossible. coz this no. is bein used by my mom n she hardly knows anythin beyond receiving n making calls. we have other no. [protected]. even in that we have this problem. many times they themselves starts some service without our knowledge and then when we recharge they cut the rental charges. is this the way to provide the service that the customer's money is not valued at all. how come such a reputed service provider can be so mean in treating the customers. its not jst once or twice, it has occured many times. if the matter is not looked into at the earliest we will have to go for much worst steps. and probably we will b ashamed to b a customer of such a reputed service provider.

      Airtel — CHARGES OF VALUE ADDED SERVICES

      Airtel — charging money for unsubscribe services

      I am being charged regularly by different services which are not activated by me. We are getting messages with the prefix AA- , robbing our money. There is no proper response from the customer care & no proper system to unsubscribe those unnecessary so called services. So, I Quit using this network & I am going to suggest all the people in my circle to LEAVE AIR-TEL to save them from this kind of loss. And you guys who see this complaint, please save yourselves and even your friends from this Robbery.

      Thanks for replying for my complaint. There was a call from customer service today and they said they can revert Rs 250 instead of previously agreed Rs 400. Looks like Airtel is not learning any lesson and hell bent upon charging money one way or the other. I wanted the complete VAS charge to be reverted and now have complained to the Aitel Nodal Desk and they have agreed to revert the money. I am still not completely satisfied as Airtel has not agreed to stop charging for clicking links without any pop-up asking for confirmation. You need to take confirmation from us before charging us.

        from my airtel number [protected]
        it is nt the first time... every second day i have to call costumer care and ask them to refund... they did jst 2 times for some career counselling scheme that was activated
        m an engineering student y wud i need career counselling.
        and this tym they dint hear anything..and said i purchased the content frm net
        but i never opened that site
        i don't call care support for 2-3 rupees deduction that they do daily but 15 rupees 4 times in a week have some value....
        please help me out

          I am Pronab Bairagi from Bangalore requested for a broadband connection nearly 3 weeks ago, the representative told me that one of their client will come to my Home to check the feasibility of network, but they never come, instead i call several time after that to come and check. its being a long time but no one came till now. My question is why the airtel broadband keep on lying to me that they will come today for checking.

            I have been using this Airtel number ([protected]) close to 2 years. In January'2012, I had made an overpayment (Rs 12488 instead of 1248) which was being adjusted in the subsequent bills. The problem started when I changed my bill plan almost a month back (Earlier A/C no: [protected]; Present A/C no: [protected]).

            When I received the message regarding the bill, there was no mention of it being adjusted with the outstanding amount. I then called up the customer care number and registered my complaint. It was of no avail.

            I then called up again on 13/08/2012 and talked to the floor supervisor Majid Rashid (complaint no: 4528410) and I was assured that the problem would be sorted out as I still had Rs 4148.90 outstanding to my credit. This was of no avail either and I kept on receiving calls from your company asking me to make the payment or risk being disconnected.

            I again called up 121 and talked to Mr Vijay Singh, explaining the whole scenario once again. This didn't work either and i kept receiving the same calls, asking me to pay up.

            I called up again (20/08/2012)and talked to Mr Dinesh Kumar (complaint no:[protected] explaining the same story once more. I have been reassured that my problem would be resolved and my bills adjusted against my outstanding amount.

            Then I mailed my problem to their nodal office on 21/08/212 and I received a call from them that it would be sorted out. But despite everything, I have been receiving SMS and phone calls to pay up. This despite the fact that I have Rs 4148.00 deposited with Airtel.

            I hope someone listens.

                Subject: My TV is down for the last 2 days.. and, shame on Airtel for such a lousy service !!!

                Hello AirTel, My digital TV HD settop box has been non-functional since Friday morning. I lodged a complaint (ref#[protected]. Except for promises, no one has turned up even after 48 hours !! With lost weekend time on Sat and possibly today on Sunday, this is giving me extreme inconvenience and grief.

                In the meantime, I spoke to many folks..
                I've been following up directly with the external agency who was supposed to attend to my case - Mr. Sundar (mob# [protected]), who had promised my case will be resolved before 1 pm on Saturday.
                After the airtel deadline of 17:30 hrs y'day, I spoke to the supervisor Mr. Sujeet. He told someone would turn up today for sure. I also tried speaking your manager, Mr. Rajesh (mob#[protected]).

                I've been an Airtel customer for years together (Mobile & Broadband), where I experienced excellent service. But, with my experience of Digital TV starting Oct 2010, I must say you folks just suck !! You will spoil the great impressions that millions in India have about Airtel service in general !!

                I'm going to raise this at the customercomplaints online website. In case this doesn't get rectified by noon today, I'll also be filing a complaint at the Bangalore Consumer redressal forum for appropriate compensation from your end for absolute slack in your service.

                  My mobile no. is [protected]. i am presently in roaming in chattisgarh and my orignal circle is kerala.i received a sms today at 1045 hours that e-recharge with Rs.555 and get Rs.555 talktime.i recharged with Rs.555 at 1245 hours and got Rs50 RC-350 local/natl sms valid 30 din
                  MY NAME IS R. KALIAMURTHY. SECRETARY, CONSUMER PROTECTION AND PUBLIC SERVICE COUNCIL. IN KUMBAKONAM, THANJAVUR DISTRICT, TAMILNADU SURROUNDING AREAS ALL SELLERS WERE SOLD THE RECHARGE COUPONS BY ADDING ONE RUPEE PER CARD. I.E. TEN RUPEES CARD SOLD ELEVEN RUPEES. TWENTY SOLD TO TWENTY ONE ETC. THIS SPOILED YOUR IMAGE. WHEN WE ASKED THE SELLERS THEY TOLD THAT THEIR COMMISSION HAD BEEN REDUCED AND SO WE SOLD THE CARDS TO THAT RATE BY ADDING ONE RUPEE.                     "25th AUG 2012" i called the 121 executive in order to ask the query regarding deduction of money.. but my query was not been solved.. instead the executive said that his system was not updated.. i guess that wasn't a valid answer for a customer.. somehow he asked me to call again after sometime.. which i tried to do so.. but the executive at the other end smartly blocked my call,, this shouldn't happen with a customer i suppose.. and my balance deduction is frequent.. somehow, i wish now to PORT from airtel service itself.. and i'll surely avoid my friend's circle the use of airtel here on..

                      I trust this (Airtel) brand very much but first time their executives deceive me. I applied for a new connection, Executives visited at my home, without telling me that they are going to give me new # (i.e. they skip my choice number privilege) they got done forms sign. I got a call from the customer satisfaction survey and they denied to note down my complaint, they inform me I will be charged 500/- Rs for my choice number now. I think Bharti Enterprises started Hiring Experience Govt. people. It’s my mistake that I have chosen 6 months plan and paid 6 months money in advance.

                        I am user of Airtel post paid connection since 2008. Today one SMS came telling that,"Thanks for downloading rendeep sunny from airtel. You have been charged Rs.99/-". I didn't downloaded any thing & nothing is in my mobile also related to this topic. I am using Nokia E5.
                        Same complain i saw from diffrent user also, I feel now airtel cheating to customers.

                        Airtel Bills — Unwanted sms & Unwanted Charges

                        I am availing the services of your Mob. No: [protected] since January 2010. I am receiving unwanted sms's from you which disturbs me.Today I have received sms 54321 stating that Rs.99/- shall be charged from me for downloading Cricket Champions Trophy for which I had not sent any request.Another sms has been sent to me from 56363 in terms of which I shall be charged Rs.99/- for Games Club.

                        Please note that I dont need any other facility other than making calls & I shall not be liable to pau any other charges other than call charges as per the plan for which I have applied.

                        Please take action immediately failing which I will have no option but to shift to some other Service Provider

                          Dear Mr Mittal,

                          This is to draw your attention to my Airtel DTH with customer ID [protected]. This connection has not been working since since Aug 19. I registered a complaint on Aug 20, 2012 morning and since then have been following up daily on customer care for resolution of this issue. It is 25th Aug today and no resolution has been made. I have also written several emails at customer care. Everytime i get a response that your compliant has been registered. The airtel engineer did finally make a visit 2 days back but they have not been able to resolve the issue and neither are we getting any response from airtel. I fail to understand how airtel is different than any local cable operator. I am sure, the cable operator would have fixed the issue by now. I have also connected with Lucknow regional service head but no respite. This is utter harassment and that too when we are paying the money. Would expect a resolution by earliest. I can go for alternate service but I want Airtel to pay for my new connection and also refund the money for last few days for which the TV has not been working. Day before yesterday i received a message that " AT - AIRINF Thank you for choosing Job Alerts" and " You have been charged Rs. 1.5 for 1 day" . But I didn’t subscribe any Job Alert and immediately contact to Airtel Customer care executive Ms. Sarojini. She assured that to credit the amount. After I received a msg. that “your amount is credited to your account”.
                            Yesterday and today again they charged Rs.1.5 for the same.I keep getting message from AT - AIRINF
                            I don’t know how it was happened without any subscription how they deduct the amount from my number. Its a kind of pilferage. The Airtel company always making harm to the customer. If the same will be continued i will switch over to some other mobile company.

                              I regularly get SMSs for which I am charged Re.1.
                              For eg: 25/08/2012 at 12: 56 From AIRINF
                              I get the following message: Thanks for downloading Easy search from Airtel. You have been charged Re. 1.0

                              The point is that my phone was locked when the message pinged.
                              I have not subscribed/downloaded anything. Why should I pay be forced to pay.
                              To un-subcribe I am forced to pay Rs. 2.0 sometimes.
                              This is unethical and to my mind does not seem a legal way of making money.They send these to millions of people, most feel one re. is not worth making a fuss about, but I think this is a scam which runs into millions.

                                We are using Airtel broadband services and Airtel sales team activated GOD by there own without our concern from January 2011, they are charging 199 Rs for GOD Service that was never activated by our side

                                we are asking them to provide the proof where in we activated the service and they failed to provide this is a complete illegal process done by airtle boradband.

                                Now I am going for a consume forum as they are not providing the proof of activation done on my phone.

                                I want my money back since Jan 2011 till date, after a long fight they revered back the GOD amount for 2 months only but I need the full amount and the proof also.

                                  This is to inform you that the airtel land line number [protected], had some
                                  issues and your executive had come to my office and i had made full and final it the
                                  bill due with no fault of mine of Rs.1750 dated 18.8.12, the same day i get a call from
                                  another executive regarding the same issue for the balance payment, i informed them
                                  about it above the payment made but are not ready to understand , i disconnected the
                                  call , next day i.e on 20.8.12 i get a call again to continue the connection and offers me
                                  to wave Rs. 1000/- from the bill due around Rs.2600, i nformed them about the
                                  payments made , they tell me they will get back to me to resolve the issue, again in the
                                  evening of 20.8.12, i get a call that they will wave the complete amount of Rs.2600
                                  approx, and asked me to continue the above line .

                                  Now i don’t understand what is going on as different executive offers me different
                                  way to continue the connection , but i feel i have been cheated by airtel by asking me
                                  to pay the amount of Rs.1750, and then offering me the waving of the amount ???????
                                  Please let me know what ever happen with me is right from the airtel point of view. or
                                  i have been misguided....

                                        This is Hanumantha Rao.K and my mobile number is xxxxxxxxxx. I am using this number since very long time. and suddenly my number has been de activated by airtel. because of following reasons as expained by Moulali Shaik from Airtel Customer Care.

                                        1. Since 45 days i am not using this connection for outgoing calls. and my concern, is it necessary to make out going calls? i have to spend money even i dont have requirement to make outgoing calls? is it valied?
                                        2. Since long time i am got recharged the amount. and my concern, is it necessary to recharge? even i have the balance in my account? is it valied?
                                        3. And my connection is having life time validity. and my conern, is even i have recharged for life time validity, why the Airtel had deactivated my connection? and what is the meaing of life time validity?

                                        So finally, the customer means.. I have to spent money for surviving Airtel, even the life time validity recharged customer doesn't have requirement to recharge the balance or making out going calls.

                                        And kindly have the complaint number provided by Moulali Shaik from Airtel Customer care[protected].

                                        Hi,

                                        This is karthik, My mobile number is [protected] i have taken as simcard lifetime offer, paying 999 scheme but currently they deactivated my number.
                                        I don't know why this type of cheating they are doing?

                                        AirTel — Life Time Validity

                                        I paid for life time validity and got a message on[protected] that the benefits of the lifetime scheme will be activated in the next 72 hours.by sender 121. But it says the validity will expire on[protected]. Does lifetime means this much period only. Surely it does not. The customer is being befooled. Validity should be extended till life.
                                        Yes the validity must be for life time if a customer pays once for it.

                                        Airtel — Lifetime Number deactivated without consent

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        I had been using my Airtel prepaid number [protected] since 2004..I had recharged it with life time validity with an amount of Rs. 999 in 2005 my license used to display to be valid till 2021...I also had maintained a balance of Rs. 250 in my account..I used to use this number to connect to internet only and after few months as I was not satisfied with the service I had stopped using GPRS fecility and kept it only to receive/make calls...I had left my phone switched off for the last five months as I was not in kolkata..Today when I turned on the phone it is showing sim card registration failed...I contacted customer service more than 4 times (talked to Joydeep and Kaushik from customer care dept. on 14th Feb at 1:30 in the night) and they are dropping my calls without giving me a resolution and transferring the call to a number which is ringing for more than 5 minutes till the time I am fed up and am disconnecting from my end..Cusotmer service is saying that this number is a new number that has not been registered yet...
                                        I still have sms-s from Airtel easy recharge saved in my sim card that proves that this number belongs to me and multiple other messages from Airtel as well...As I had not receievd any call or have not made any calls from this number since quite sometime..they have taken away my balance and are trying to resell the number to someone else...I have the SIM card and sufficient proofs at my disposal...I had paid such a huge amount to make this number a lifetime valid(five years back it was very costly to make a number valid for lifetime)...Please help me on this and let me know if you need any other information like sms registration number etc...
