Hi,

I had been an Airtel Bangalore broadband customer with clear payment history for a quite long time the telephone number being [protected], I had to discontinue as I was relocating and I asked them to disconnect the broadband service they agreed to disconnect and after six months they call me and tell that the broadband connection has not been disconnected and I have to pay the outstanding bill of 4872 , I did not even turn on the modem assuming it has been disconnected. When I refuse to pay they threaten me with legal action. I am not sure what kind of ethics these so called telecom giant is following. I am not sure if Airtel is finding this way of making money by harassing the customers easier. I have copied the text from the email I got from Airtel customer care when I requested them for a disconnection.

Can someone please suggest me what should I do?

    Dear Sir / Madam

    I have a prepaid mobile number [protected] which is getting recharged quite frequently with an amount of Rs 444 or Rs 500.

    To my surprise on Monday September 3,12 after I had recharged this mobile with Rs 444,I received a notice that unless I call *567# I will get charged
    Rs 98 after three days for an internet package of 1 GB. I promptly did as I have no need for this but I still got charged Rs 98. I was advised of
    this internet package charge by a SMS of Sept 7. This is completely unfair and illegal.

    Even though I have asked the supplier Airtel to reverse this charge of Rs 98 and advise me of the same either via a SMS or e-mails I am writing this complaint because it is charge by deception. Airtel will be required to change its procedure to charge for this packaged service. Instead of charging for this service with user unaware in case the mobile is turned off ,Airtel could send a sales pitch to activate this internet package. It will then be upto the discretion of the user if one wants the service. This is to request you to enforce this.

      Respected sir/ madam,

      I am working in LIC of India in Amritsar. I have purchased a power plan CUG from airtel compan in 2010..
      While selling this plan to me i was told the call rate from airtel to airtel mobile in 10 paise only.
      Now the company is charging 20 paise call from me from airtel to airtel. My hundred of colleagues are
      using 10 paise call facility from airtel to airtel. I have written to airtel aurthorities and they revert me
      we have changed your plan and in this plan .20 paise call rate is available. Now yesterday
      i have written again and they reverted the same.
      Please help me out.

      Airtel — call rate is higher

        My name is V. das and I am using Airtel mobile since 2003. I was always having problems but some how or other I am tolerating and now it is to much. pls look into my complain. My no. [protected]. I activated Internet for the month plan on 26 August 2012, after this my balance was 558 and on 30th just after four days I found I have balance only rs 13. immediately I call to customer care and they check, hear the details and finally cut off my phone. everyday three four time I call and they just ignore me and saying that we are forwarding you to our executive head and then my phone is cutt off. On 4th September I was told that by 11 am on 6th I will get my balance back and on 7th eve I call again for five time Mr. Sanjay Mr. Ashis again hear the details of my case cheked it and finally cut off my phone saying that I forwarding ur call to executive head. And after this I call and nobody recevie my call.pls solve my problems immediately. Thanking you..

        AirTel — wrongful deduction for VAS

        I have been wrongfully charged the rental of VAS i had never opted for (Airtel Friendz Chat, in my instance, for which 30/- was charged from me today) and what's more, I get rudely rebuffed by their customer care exec who insist I was 'Rightly charged'!.
        No matter how much I tried reasoning that how could a service get activated without they getting any sort of confirmation from my end, they start loosing temper and start narrating technicalities! I have even been told with a shocking audacity that I could go to any level, but I was not going to get a refund in my case! Certain VAS seem to get automatically activated and the only information we get is that my account balance has been deducted by the rental charge!

          PLEASE LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF CALLS FOR A SINGLE PORTIN. EVERY TIME I WAS DISTURBED ASKING MY DETAILS TIME AAND AGAIN AS IF I AM A CRIMINAL. THE PERSON WHO THREATENED ME HAS CALL DETAILS AS FOLLOWS:-

          THIS SHOWS THAT AIRTEL WANTS TO BECOME ZEROTEL BY EMPLOYING SUCH KIND OF PERSONS WHO CAN USE ARROGANT AND THREATENING LANGUAGE JUST TO GET ONE CUSTOMER PORTIN. AND SO MUCH CALL AS EVEN MY SELF ATTESTED DETAILS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO SOME CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE FROM AIRTEL NAME MR. KAMAL SINGH MOBILE –[protected].           THE AMAZING FACT IS THAT THE ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR OF CUSTOMER CARE OFFICIALS EITHER AT OUTLETS OF AIRTEL OR TO OR FROM ABOVE SAID NUMBER STILL HAVING ARROGANT AND NEGLIGENT ATTITUDE IT SELF CLEARLY MAKES SENSE THAT AIRTEL DOES NOT WANT TO IMPROVE EVEN THE APOLOGY LETTER BY THEM THROUGH MINISTRY OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS:-

THE ALL ABOVE CALLS STATED ABOVE ARE RECORDED WITH ME AND MOST OF THEM REPEATEDLY ASKING SAME QUESTIONS. WHAT DOES IT MEAN. DOES IT MEAN TO DISGRACE THEIR INCOMING CUSTOMERS WHO DESPITE HAVING WORST PAST EXPERIENCE AS NARRATED ABOVE STILL WANTS TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEM , BUT AIRTEL DOES NOT WANT THE SAME AS IT HAS AGAIN SHOWN BY THEM THAT “TO HELL WITH CUSTOMERS”.
          KEEPING ALL FACTS IN CONSIDERATION I REQUEST ALL CONCERNED TO IMMEDIATELY CANCEL MY PORTIN REQUEST AND SEND BACK MY DOCUMENTS HANDED OVER TO “THIS DAY 31ST AUGUST 2012 BY DSA SOME CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE FROM AIRTEL NAME MR.           With utmost regrets, I am writing this complaint against such a reputed company taken as pioneer in telecom and internet provider company in India. It is indeed a surprise to note and to let it come in your notice that such a reputed company who is spending crores of rupees in getting more and more customers .Further to emphasize that I am doctor by profession involved in looking after critically ill patients and may not be able to receive call till 4:30PM , hence it is requested that any official who is deputed for the same must call me after 4:30PM the era of such a tight competition to have more customers either for land line or internet provider but when some customer reaches any of your outlets response is like as if they are saturated and don’t want any more customers. Details are enclosed as an attachment with chronological events in MS word. Last talk to customer care number[protected] on 4th February with floor supervisor Mr. Saji Floor supervisor at around 4:30PM and specifically requested to record the conversation for better services and interpretation to avoid any communication gap. After making him apprise of previous facts he gave me complaint number 42685758. HE SAID THAT HE IS NOTING DOWN MY INFORMATION AND THAT I WILL GET RESPONSE WITHIN 72 HOURS..           IT IS SHOCKING TO LEARN THAT COMPANY OF SUCH REPUTE AAS AIRTEL ONE OF PIONEER COMPANY TO PROVIDE MOBILE IN INDIA IS NOW SO SATURATED AS TO PROVIDE ANY NEW CONNECTION AND THE SAME HAS NEVER BEEN COMMUNICATED IN ANY OF THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS RATHER ASKING TO OPT FOR CONNECTION. FURTHER THAT NOW IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT ONE CAN CHANGE THEIR OPERATOR AND SUCH KIND OF RESPONSE BY COMPANT BEASR BAD NAME IN REPUTATION OF THE COMPANY IN THE MARKET AND I THINK MARKETING/ADVERTISING INCHARGE SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH KIND OF WRONG AND MISDIRECTING ADVERTISEMENTS.

            Please note that I had tried to recharge my mobile number - [protected] today (7th September 2012 - Morning ) through your website https://pay.airtel.com/PrepaidOnlineRecharge/mobileRecharge.jsp.

            The transaction failed but yet the amount was deducted TWICE from my SBI credit card - Total 900 INR. from my SBI credit Card.

            The recharge amount for which I tried to recharge was - 3G Internet Recharge - 450 INR. But the Surprising thing is that the amount was deducted TWICE from my SBI credit card - Total 900 INR.

            Your customer care asked me to contact the bank. I am totally confused.

            Please do the needful to refund the amount ASAP - Kindly check the attached screenshot - of my SBI credit card transaction list for further clarification.

              I have a Airtel prepaid connection in the name of Kapil purohit. I am using this connection sienc 3 year & this is my no. 91-[protected].
              I have recharge for sms pack of Rs.85 & than company sent me a massage for auto renewal for next month, regarding this massage i called at customer care on[protected] & ask him for terminate the auto renewal he told me that just dial *110*0# , i tried several times but nothing happen.
              Than government ban this sms facility & after 5 days , when this ban is over, they renewed my sms pack without my permission or without any information, i called at customer care again & ask him for help but he transfer my call to senior person, & the senior person didn't pick up my phone & the same thing done by them with me 3 time in a day. than i just decided to PORT my no. to other company but after this massage customer care called me by this no.[protected] & told me that they will pay back my money in 48 hours but still they didn't pay me back my money & now they didn't accept my call.

                  Airtel Brod band — false billing

                  I was a User of Airtel Brod band connection. Fisrt I was using 128 kbps unlimited plan, but after 1 or 2 months I got a call from Airtel for a upgradation. They offered me 777 plan which is 2mbps speed with 4gb free usage. Generaly I use to sit at my office from 12:30 PM to 1:30 AM (near about 13hrs) But when I got the monthly bill it was more than Rs 5500/-, Which is I think impossible because I generaly use only to check my e-mails like hot mail, orkut & yahoomail that to after 1:30AM for 1 or maximum 2hrs. But in the bill most of the usage timing are between 7:00pm to 11:00 PM. If I use to stay at my office from 12:30PM to 1:30AM then how can i use my internet during 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. I asked them for an Explanation for the billing . They told me "We'll provide you shortly" and after that they never called me back. And I didn't pay because I knew that the bill is fake. After that Explanation they didn't told me for the bill & the next month I got another bill where the amount was Rs 11700/-. Again I called them & asked for an explanation because this time they have done same thing. And after my 2nd call they still didn't called my back for that explanation. But 2 days back 23/09/2008 I got a call from some one who called him self as sub inspector Raghubir Singh from Dariyaganj police station. He told Me I have arrest warrant for you, as I was completely unaware of this I asked for the reason. Then he gave me the advocates phone no. I called that person who called him self Neeraj Goel "Advocate told me as You didn't pay the Airtel brodband Bill for that reason Airtel Bharti file a case against you. I explain everything about my problem even that explanation i was asking them. Advocate said Airtel didn't treet you fairly. You can talk to there Legal Adviser Mr Sushil Sharma. I meet Mr Sushil Sharma I asked him for a out of court settlement. I explained him about my problem & I request him to have a look where is problem on my bill. But his behaviour was so rude he told "Its a police case You have to pay whatever the billing amount is, we can't do anything, any how you have to pay right now.I request him that I can give you 2 post dated cheque for two different months that I can servive in Noida at least" At that time I was scared about police so I gave him a post dated cheque of Rs8000/- for 30/09/2008. But at afternoon by 4:00 or 5:00PM I came to know some one from Airtel that the police officer who called me that advocate all are fake. They all are airtel employes and its there procedure of collection. Only for them my mental status was so bad i didn't concentrate on my work also. Then I made a request to my Bank for stop payment of my cheque, because they want to collect there money in a worng way. I have asked them for an explanation which they didn't gave. Airtel are cheating there customers. Airtel want to make money with fraud billing & cheating there customers. Now I want you to help me.

                  AirTel — Irrelevant Bills being sent

                  I got dissconeted Airtel Landline no. 4252168 on 8.3.10 vide complaint for concellation no. 30275220 and was given dissconection no. 30290306 on 8.3.10 and was told that my connection has been dissconected.

                  Later in the month of April I again got a call telling me that at the time of dissconection Mach Bill was not generated so, please, pay upto 9th of March.I thought it logical and paid that Bill also.

                  Aitel again started harassing me for last two months with further with calls for payment. I gave them Dissconection no. and the caller said OK now you will not be bothered with such call. But after some pause again call for payment started coming and I am really tired of such calls.

                  THERE IS NO CONNECTION OF AIRTEL IN MY HOUSE BUT THEY KEEP ON BOTHERING ME.AND CALLER ALSO ACCEPTS THAT NO CALL ARE BEING MADE BUT INSIST FOR PAYMENT. PLEASE SEE THAT SUCH CALL ARE STOPPED.

                  My airtel landline number is[protected].I requested Plan change on 6th July 2011.That time it was told ne that plan will be changed from next billing cycle That is 26th july Keeping in view i stared using net.But They didnot changed the plan & imposed bill of some 1500 Rs.
                  When complained thier coustomer care has told they will revert back charges as this was mistake and we were not able to change the plan.But again next month they imposed some 1800 Rs charges.Inspite of calling 20-25 times they didnot responded I wrote mail some 10-15 times to appelate and also nodal officer But till today charges are not reverted back.

                  So much of MENTAL TENSION IN CHANGE OF PLAN AND ALSO UNNESSARY BILL ALSO.My mobile number also i updated in thier account but no response thier escalation officer ,coustomer care assured me to revert back amount But every month That amount is added in bill with late charges.
                  I also put ticket 10-20 times but complaints are closed without resolution

                  Mailing them is the best option. In the website you will find a list of email ids and phone nos of all the highest authorities.
                  send a mail to all of them together and also mention that if it is not resolved you will be going to consumer court and filing a case. Also call some of them and tell the same thing.
                  Also try going to a center and tell them the issue.

                    AIRTEL TELEMEDIA SERVICES — Worst services by Airtel Broadband

                    Hello,

                    Myself Rahul Prasad from Hyderabad, I was using AIRTEL broadband connection number[protected], Due to irregular billing pattern by Airtel Telemedia Services after first cycle even after multiple reminders to Airtel costumer care, Airtel Telemedia Services failed to provide bill for payment for 2nd and 3rd consecutive months neither by post or email, Later line was disconnected by Airtel without any information. Referring to the concern, I had written multiple emails to Hyderabad Nodal officer Mr. Vishnu after detailed telephonic conversation, I requested Mr. Vishnu to withdraw the connection completely and close account.

                    Now, after 7 months I received a call from recovery agent to pay outstanding bill, though Airtel Telemedia Services has not yet provided any bill till date.

                    I am willing to lodge a complain against Airtel Telemedia Service for failure of poor service and calling through recovery agents for unbilled payment recovery.

                      Looks like you guys can't stop cheating your customers. I am on a 16mbps line and noticed that you have the same speed available at a lesser price. Requested your team to switch to that plan but they come back telling me that they can't switch as those plans are not available in my area??? Team Airtel, you really think your customers are fools and can't figure your cheap tactics to make money... pathetic. Stop wasting time making cute adverts and start focusing on your products and services. Shame on you folks.
                      I have activatd airtel gprs and using it, but on airtel gprs there are not charges applicable for it, only the weekly charge of Rs.75/- has to be deducted but the charges are taken extra while i use it, and to refer to the sustomer care i couldnt get on line, they have informed to send a message but there is no use of it the customer care is utter waste.

                      I am a prepaid Airtel subscriber, my Tel. no [protected]. I am short of words to express my feelings about this company, I can say THIS COMPNAY IS A BIG FRAUD, I have complained several times that I have not down loaded any thing from my mobile inspite of my repeated complaints to their customer service, my account is regularly being debited, now this fraudulent company has the guts to show a debit balance in my prepaid accont, this is the level to which this company can stoop to. I can only say that this company is using technology to pick peoples pockets.
                      every day I had been receiving filthy unromantics messages, cricket scores, and lousy jokes. I had been to their office in Chembur, Mumbai, it was filled with customers having similar complaints.
                      I deposited Rs.64/-(Trn id[protected],on[protected] to avail the scheme of 1paise/sec
                      for 1year.Surprisingly ,on 3.12.2009,4.-12-2009 &[protected] AIRTEL sent me SMS for availing 50paise/min,which is absolutely USELESS for my requirement.On[protected],in all of my outgoing calls for even 21 secs,5 secs,and so on Airtel deducted forcefully 50 paise per call,instead of 21 paise,5 paise respectedly,which is highly irregular,because while AIRTEL is enjoying my deposit for Rs.64/- for 1 /sec plan,but imposing forcefully another plan ,which I have neither been wanted,nor been accepted.It is a serious offence to a customer for stealing money without his concent & acceptence,neglecting the facility for which a CUSTOMER opted & deposted money.
                      This illegal stealing is highly punishable ,since AIRTEL is creating financial & mental loss to a bonafide customer . I request to stop this type o[censored]nauthorised stealing & get back the excess amount illegally deducted at earliest,and restore the facility for Rs.1 paise/sec,for which AIRTEL is enjoying my deposit for 1 year,under intimation to me.,faililg which severe legal steps will be taken & complain will be sent to higher authorities.

                      I am a working employee. I am using the Airtel Mobile services. Today[protected] i have recharged with 30 ruppes. My father health is not good. When i was in the meeting in my office, i got the call from one mobile number [protected]. I didn't pick the call because i was in the meeting. after completion of the meeting, i recalled to the same number. i thought anyone of my friend had called me. when i called to that number, it is saying "welcome to hello tunes'. i immeadiatley has cut the phone. i got the message , "welcome to hello tunes you have been charged 10 rs for 10 days subscription. Immediatley i got another message saying "you have been charged rs.15. your hello tune has been changed to some new song. Again i got the message saying, " thank you for calling 530309". I actually have called to the mobile number which i have got when i was in the meeting. i didn't know that it is airtel's number. i can i recognize whether that calling was coming from the airtel or anyone of the person. That too i have not called to above number 530309. When the customer call to [protected] number , they are charging call charges rates and also 25 rupees extra. They have cheated me. My father health is not good now. how can i contact my family now. recharges are not available near by. How can these airtel people can charge me 25 rupees without intimating.

                      Please take an action on these people. And it should not be happen to the any of the other customers. Evey rupee is valuable for every citizen. And also i am expecting my money back which they have charged.

                      I am using a airtel pre paid sim from past 6.5 years, Recently since 6 months there is a regular problem of call drop, charging excess all the time and some time you are not able to dial any number (gives a voice message,"Number is invalid") and you are charged for that as 1 call. recently i started keeping a tab on this, and i found out that, Airtel guys are cheating pre paid customers big time. When contacted support and logged complaints several times, nothing happens, the only reply we get is, "We are extremely sorry, we can understand your problem", and the customer support executives have started a new practice, when they are unable to answer the customer, they put the customer on hold for some time and then disconnect.

                      All my Customers/friends/relatives have the same number, i am in such a helpless situation, that i cant even change the number. and in spite of paying airtel, i am very Irritated.

                      Hope Airtel looks at this message a tries to work on their Customer support and Not cheat people instead.

                      Airtel Mobile Services — Poor quality of service and cheating

                      I have three mobile connections with Bharti Airtel ([protected], [protected] and [protected]) and the servicd stinks to say the least. It stinks so much that it worse than rotting garbage. I have made so many complaints and all I get is the same cliched message. That they care about customers and will leave no stone unturned to solve the issues. But, at the end of the day, it is business as usual. I am sure a lot many like me have had the same experience as me. We are waiting for the day when mobile portability will be introduced. Then it will be a good bye or should it be a bad bye to this lousy enterprise. I fervently hope that the organisation shuts shop and disappears from the horizon.

                      AirTel — Cheating the Customers

                      The main issue is that slowly increase the call rate, without informing the customers. No more favorable schemes in that call flow.
                      I have been an airtel mobile customer for more than 5+ years. Today i discover that a conference calling facility that has been free for the entire customer base has been Rs.100 for me for the last one year because i did not intimate them to cancel it. When i requested a reason for not letting me know when the the service has been free, they were fumbling and could not give me a fair reason.

                      Means that if i would not have intimated now, i would have be royally cheated for the rest for my life.

                      thanks to no. portability, i have decided to quit airtel.
                      On 3rd march 2011 Airtel service deducted Rs.15 from my no.[protected] ,Whereus I didn't activated it from my side.So I request airtel service to refund my money.I called customercare they told [application down]then how Airtel will serve people?.

                      My Mobile No. is[protected]. Without my permission or request or confirmation Airtel is robbing me of my money by RENEWING WORLD CUP SCHEDULER SUBSCRIPTION daily. I was browsing my net on mobile on 11.04.2011 and without my knowledge and confirmation I was sent a message confirming my subscription for WORLD CUP SCHEDULER, which I had not opted for. From then on daily I am receiving a message that WORLD CUP SCHEDULER IS RENEWED and I have been charged. And intelligently they are not giving me a link to UNSUBSCRIBE the service. This is not the first time that this is happening. It has happened many times before, but because of lack of time, I let them go.

                      I had been contacting 121, daily since 11.04.2011, to kindly deactivate the SUBSCRIPTION, but to no avail. The Executives are unable to take any action on the complaint or they do not want to take any action. On 14.04.2011, I was promised by Airtel that the SUBSCRIPTION has been cancelled and I will get a confirmation report within 4 hours. That has not happened and I am still receiving SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL MESSAGES.

                      I request you to please stop WORLD CUP SCHEDULER SUBSCRIPTION immediately, and refund the money which has been collected from me UNAUTHORISEDLY. This amounts to Cheating and Fraud. If no action is taken immediately I will be compelled to publish the same matter in all leading NEWSPAPERS.

                      I am using Airtel prepaid card no [protected]. On last 6 year 12:33 AM I received one continuous SMS from Airtel Number 54321.I just opened first SMS immediately 75 Rs deducted from my account .

                      This is Amarnath I have use the Airtel Mobile service since 2007 Last three months back I have Activated the service name DO NOT DISTURB because they are sending lot of sms and unwanted calls in meeting time and the driving time so I activated. They told this service will effect within 45 days you will not receive any calls and SMS from our side. Till now I received the sms and calls from AIRTEL. Last 15 days back I have complained again they told it will stop by 25th May but I received calls and sms till now. Today I called at 12:00 AM one guy picked up the call and he cuts the call suddenly then I tried many times but call did not connect with customer care they are blocked my number. I called 2 times using my nearest recharge guy then they are picked up and they told me we will stop it and our manager will call you but they are did not called till now.

                      AIRTEL mobile service is cheating the people their service is service that guys are .

                      I got the end date for this complaint on 8th june. If it is clarified I will satisfy otherwise I wont satisfy .
                      Airtel has charged extra Rs3416 for data usage as the plan that I am currently under has a limit of 300MB (monthly GPRS rental of Rs 99) and my usage has been 800MB. So they have charged for 500MB usage. At the same time, Airtel has another plan that provides a limit of 2GB with a monthly rental of Rs 98. So basically customers who are unaware of the new plan continue to be charged huge sums so that Airtel can make a profit. In spite of speaking to multiple representatives from Airtel regarding this billing, I have been unable to make them see any reasoning. Kindly help put an end to ths exploitation of customers by Airtel.

                      I have still not received a response from you even though you apologised for delayed response and confirmed that i will get a response by 17th. JUst to remind you that you have already taken more than 40 days since the issue was escalated to the appellate authority. Therefore marking all id's i could find hoping someone is sensible in airtel and cares to respond to its customers honestly!

                      I finally got one from your customer service team (I dont expect to start interacting with them again and dont understand why you have appellate authority if this is going to be investigated by customer service anyway?)

                      The response i have received is frivolous and just says that the bill is correct because u have a state of the art billing system. Just want to remind you that your state of the art system has not been able to provide connectivity for 3 months and your amazing billing system has continued to charge me. I dont know if you have any sensible people in Airtel who can understand plain english over the telephone or email!!!

                      As per your email itself, there was no outstanding on 23rd Jul. how are you sending me the bill now??? does it make any sense to you? you are also aware that the connection is not working for 3 months and i have already paid for 2 months for which you should refund my money as you have not provided the service!!!

                      Your processes are exceptionally poor, over last three months i have been following up with Customer service, then nodal officer, then appellate office and i am now routed back to customer service.. are you just trying to harrass customers and force them to log cases against you in consumer forum and courts? i have been requesting for a cancellation of this connection for two months... why have you not been cancelling it despite paying all dues a month and a half ago (which you should not have charged in the first place if you were honest as you didn't provide the service)

                      Hi Sunil,

                      I have been a customer with Airtel for the past 7 years and I am absolutely horrified by the abysmally pathetic service Airtel offers me in terms of quality of service (mobile), and the sheer incompetence and lack of professionalism of its customer care department. The past 3 months have been a horrendous experience for me and I would like to bring to your attention the same.

                      It all started with my network related complaint that I raised on the 18th of May. Due to the poor network, I am having to spend late nights at office for calls with my customers located in the US. All this when I could get to the comfort of my house and receive the same. Your team has not bothered to action this complaint for over two and a half months and every time I call them they inform me that they are escalating to the technical, which I now know is a farce. Finally, during the week of august 15th a technician visit my home and took some readings and only to not hear back from Airtel again.

                      I have escalated the matter with your nodal and appellate authorities in the customer "dont" care department but to no avail. Everybody within your appellate office (Leo Arvind, Anil, Ramesh) makes false promises of call backs with updates on the issue but none what-so-ever came from them. These are my issues with Airtel:

                      1. Airtel's customer "dont" care department lacks any professionalism and commitment to resolving customer issues. The escalation authorities are also just as impotent.
                      2. The appellate officers (Leo Arvind, Anil and Ramesh) refuse to bring their manager Sharath Damani on the call saying they will not do it. So I cannot escalate to the next higher level authority.
                      3. Because of Airtel's poor network and lack of commitment to resolve it, I've had to spend sleepless night at my workplace, while I could be spending time with my family.
                      4. Because of Airtel's poor network, I've had to make 4-5 extra calls for every call because of calls drops and poor voice quality.
                      5. Airtel disconnected my mobile connection without informing about the same.

                      My Position:
                      1. 70% of my calls are made from home, as I have a fixed line desk connection at office which I use while I am at office. I am ready to pay for good service which I have received 30% of the time which translates to 30% of my bill value.
                      2. If customers are charged a fine for late payment of bills, then Airtel should also pay a fine for non-actioning a customer complaint. It is only but fair.

                      I have had a horrid 2 months with airtel and need a resolution to this issue.

                      I look forward to some action at least from your side.

                      Bharti Airtel — Have not refunded my money since two and half months

                      Hi,

                      Initially I had applied for an Airtel Broadband connection sometime in the first week of July. They finally after one month at the end of July told me that the connection is not available and told that the money that I had paid will be refunded within 15 day. But it has been more than a month and I have not received my money.

                      When we call them they say someone will call within a day but from inception till now no one has called me regarding this issue, or most of the time they just hang up the phone, and calling them again is very irritating. And actually I am writing this complaint when I am waiting for someone to escalate the call and its been like around half an hour that no one has responded and I'm still on line.

                      The latest complaint number that was given to me is 2709550. Please help me out with this is the worst customer experience I have faced till now.
                      I have been receiving multiple communications to you on my phone ([protected]) and email id. I have also written to all your appellate authorities(exactly the email copied above which you should have been able to locate had you read the email above). You also had all my contact details including my phone, two emails as well as physical address linked to my account and you should have been able to pull it up had you checked email to appellate authority. Is it really that difficult?

                      Can you stop giving these excuses and try to resolve it?? all the details are already in your records including multiple emails to all in Airtel and i am tired of explaining the details to every new person who calls. And then they dont do anything.

                      AirTel — Abysmally poor customer care services

                      I am a professional in Chennai - I possess 2 mobile connections, 2 ipad connections, 1 broad band and one land line all from Airtel. And i am extremely ashamed to be an airtel customer. For each of these connections I had to visit airtel office in Santhome at least 10 times , talk to 121 to about 40 representatives and wait for a week before the connection gets functional. And i am certainly to blame my stupidity for still continuing with airtel. Yesterday at the Santhome office I requested for a change of one of my connections from blackberry to iphone 4 and also for a microsim. The chap who attended to me after about 45 min of waiting ( Mr.Aseem or Asin) told me that the microsim is activated and the change of plan to iphone will come to effect at 7.00 am the following day. At 7.00am i called some one on 121. she told that she'll try to look into it and then speed up the process. At 9.00 I called another male this time. He told that he is activating the SIM and will take 4 hrs for activation. Soon he called me up and told me that the sim ahs been activated. But nothing happened. I then went to the Santhome centre where i was told that they'll activate the sim and it'll take 6 hours from then. 4 hours later i called 121, a lady repiled this time and told that the sim has not been activated and will try her best to do so. It's amazing how disjointed airtel services can be,. They are making simple fools o[censored]s customers. Airtel seems to employ sub-standard personnel who have no idea what they are doing. It's a shame. Such service quality is unheard of in UK, Europe or Malaysia. I am just disgusted. Even services in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka where i worked are far more better. There seems to be a complete lack of some central administrative system. It's time Airtel either closed shop in India or learn some basic administrative methodology.

                      AirTel — Cheating with Customer

                      As for the information i have to inform you that i am the customer of Airtel since 1 year.
                      Since last week i am very unhappy with the service provided by airtel as it's deducting money from account every now and then of 10 paisa to 60 paisa (it varies from time to time) with out any usage of anything. I am so confused that why it's deducting money from my account. And even i have balance in my account it's coming that " U don't have sufficient balance to make the call." More ever few days back it has deducted around Rs. 134 with out any reason.
                      I want all my money back other wise i will switch to another service provider.

                      We are a startup company based at Vaishali Ghaziabad. Our broadband is not working for past 4 days, we have registered complaints multiple times (reference id 34570508, 34511094, 34491830,[protected]. It is really unfortunate that despite charging hefty amount, the irresponsible customer relationship officers close the ticket without giving resolution.

                      If any senior in Ghaziabad (ncr) circle is able to see this complaint, we expect immediate action on this problem. This really look ugly if a big brand like Airtel handles its customers so carelessly. Closing the ticket without our consent and charging customers without giving services is no less than cheating.

                        My mobile number [protected] was charged Rs 99 this morning by at 11.19 am for supposedly subscribing to a service called MODEL VIDEO CLUB_30

                        Upon calling your service centre number [protected] I was informed that this charge was made by Airtel on behalf of Nazara.com

                        I have never visited this website nor have I authorised them to charge me for any service

                        The Airtel help line person who answered my call from my mobile at 11.39 am (Mr Roshan) was prompt in assuring me the charges would be reversed once he ascertained that I had not authorised this charge

                        What I bring to your notice is that there seems to be a systemic and large scale fraud being perpetrated by this website among others and that Airtel seems to be doing nothing to blacklist such websites.

                        I want you to be warned that failure to act in this regard and blacklist such websites immediately will lead to a class action suit against Airtel.

                        I await your immediate response confirming that this website has been blacklisted and will not be able to commit fraud on other subscribers of Airtel.

                        In case you fail to take action and the site continues to defraud others, it will mean that Airtel is in collusion with such websites to defraud its customers and such an act will amount to a criminal conspiracy on part of Airtel

                            i am a airtel mobile consumer([protected]).I got a sms from a service producer on 6/09/12,that recharge Rs 50,u get 55 talktime,as i recharge 50 but i can't get the that momy tolktime,also when i am calling service producer 5 time,in every time they told me we have not now right information,your call being transfered to higher authority.but evey time they disconnect call,they weast my money as wel as my time.sir that is not bigher loss but they harass me.i am a educated person thay behave me like this,so what beheve thay show with a uneducated person!

                              I activated RS 98 GPRS plan for 1 month usage of 1024MB dated at 14 July,and my bill generation date is 4th at each month(as i am using postpaid connection) for that i called to AIRTEL Customer care,At that time he didnt told anything about core database and all things so crossed extra 200mb.
                              and actually i got 924MB using their core DB.
                              For that i called more than 10 time s to airtel customer care to register my complaints,bt every time customer care executive told that your complaints got registered but actually it is not as they are trying to make me fool.
                              and when i got a call from airtel billing unit,he gives me information that your none of my complaints get raised,so at that time he registered it.

                              so i finally registered the complaints at 25 AUG 2012,but up to yet it not get solved.

                              so i unfortunately go for extra tax for that extra billing amount and if i am not paid that amount then my connection get disconnected.

                              Brief :- I want to raised complaints against airtel customer care (EXECUTIVE) for misguided / Fraud /Fool me,for not giving correct and useful information and also not give the solution up to yet as raised the compliant dated at 25 AUG.

                              air tel gprs — fooled by fraud AIR TEL

                              Air tel cheated me by enrolling me for a gprs plan of 2 gb but sent a faulty software that selected the wrong access point AIR TEL LIVE and they sent a bill of Rs 3500 for gprs for 200 mb usage where as I had already taken a 2000 mb free plan of rent 100 of mobile office AIR TEL.

                              So air tel cheats by showing a cheap plan and then get you hooked to AIR TEL LIVE by faulty software that we have to save in our mobiles and cheats customers.

                              Airtel — Extra tax charge

                              Irtel tax calculation system is wrong, so normally they charge extra money. It is going on from last lots of years, even its only some paisa but if we calculate in terms of total customers the money go in carores. You can see attached picture with data.

                              now finally, i got a call from, airtel billing unit, that i[censored] didnt pay your connection get disconnected.

                              also tax get increased by month by month on bill.

                              Now what will i do?

                              Its too late i am facing this same from last two months..

                                I am using Airtel mobile operator. My no. is +91 [protected]. I am from Rajasthan Circle. I use Rs.63 sms pack. The problem created by my operator is quite weird.

                                Now a days they have started auto renewal on such packs. Last month i stop this auto renewal service. but as i recharged my no. by Rs.63 they started such non sense auto renewal service. as the month ended i didnt have balance more than Rs.63 so they did not renewed the plan so i recharged my no. by Rs.63. and my sms pack activated.

                                But problem raised as i recharged my no. by Rs.150 they again activated a sms pack and deducted Rs. 63 from my account balance(with out any information).

                                I complained about the same to customer care but they did not even tried to understand the problem. I asked them to talk to their senior but they refused to do so.

                                after talking with 2 customer care executive, i couldn't even make a call to customer care service probably they blocked my no. After having such experience i was help less and quite disappointed. I am seeking for positive response from AIRTEL. Thanks to Consumer Court for giving me a platform in order to complain.

                                If i don't get proper corrective measure regarding this problem. I shall be filing complain regarding this to Consumer forum.

                                I am having complete record of each and every transaction and communication between myself and AIRTEL

                                Airtel Mobile — Unwanted Deduction of balance by mobile operator Airtel

                                I have recieved on mobile SMS from 54321 saying thanks for downloading you have been charged Rs.10
                                Though i have not clicked anyting in my mobile.
                                I have called airtel customer care no 198 and requested many times that i do not want anything like airtel live etc. deactivate the service but i have observed that they temporary deactivate the service and again some other service is activated and i am getting charged again thogh i do not want any service
                                But till now they have deducted many times my balance without notifying me.
                                I think this kind of robbing to cutomers should stopped if they want to activate some service should not activate it without my confirmation.

                                  Airtel — Excess amount billed and plan changed without intimation

                                  Hello,

                                  I am a post paid customer of Airtel. Rite from the beginning I had subscribed for 199 GV plan. However in September the plan was changed to Alex_FV299 Plan without intimating me. When I received bill for Sep-Oct, I was shocked with the amount charged and the changed plan. I raised an issue ticket for the same and two days after I was asked to pay a lesser amount with an assurance that the plan would be changed back to 199 GV Plan. Tickets raised were[protected] and[protected].
                                  In Nov, when I received the bill for Oct-Nov, again the same issue cropped up and this time the below tickets were raised
                                  19431569 and 19431630. I was again given assurance that everything will be resolved.
                                  Now for Dec again, the same thing has happended. Today again I have raised an issue ticket for the same two errors: 19789164.
                                  I donot understand why such an harrassment. If this continues, it would be hard for me to contiue with Airtel. I am Airtel customer from last 3 years.But never faced such a situation. Why such an irresponsible behaviour by the Airtel Customer reps. If such resolutions flow to the customers than I am afraid, soon airtel customers would be driven to Vodafone and other airtel competitors.
                                  A sincere advice: Either innovate your services or educate the front end and backend customer reps, so that seasoned customers wouldnot have to undergo such a torchure.

                                  AirTel — plan chaged without intimation & excess bill

                                  in april 08 i have taken one air tel connection, no is [protected]. then suddenly after two months they changed my plan & the bill amount shoot up from three hundred to seven hundred.

                                  I paid for one month & asked to correct the plan but nothing happened. then next month i refused to pay as per their new plan & asked them to correct the bill if you want me to pay. now toatal amount as per air tel is Rs 1578 /- & as per me it is around seven hundred including taxes.

                                  two meetings already happened with them & they are now telling that TRI new rulling had came at that time & because of that they had changed my plan without infroming me, without asking me.
                                  Can you pl clear as per law can they do like this.

                                  Bharti Airtel — plan changed without intimation

                                  Respected sir,

                                  i have been using Airtel friends since the past 4 and a half years. The problem is that my friends plan lapsed without any prior notification. I had lodged a complaint with the airtel customer care executive and she assured me that within 24 hours my plan would be reverted back to friends plan and my balance loss would be refunded.

                                  When i contacted the customer care executive after 24 hours, he was adamant and said i recharged my number with Rs. 26 and changed the plan. It might have been done by another person who might have recharged the wrong number by mistake. Now i want my friends plan back. Since i can assure you that i didnt recharge my number for changing the plan. Thanking You and expexting help as soon as possible.

                                    This is my second complain regarding the airtel 3G network.....as i m still having problem ie. i m not getting 3G network i checked my friends sim card & he is getting the network... so he suggested me to change the sim card so i brought a new sim card with same existing no. but of no use...i tried activating the 3G by sending 3G to 121 it says it is already active on your no. still with no 3G network i tried to activate the 3G pack it says service is not available for this no. so when i contacted customer care he said to check whether my sim card is a 2G or a 3G card he also told me that there is a seperate sim for 3G .......if airtel supports 2G & 3G network on a same normal sim card then y to check this...i m really fed up bcoz of this plzzzzzzzzzzz help y only i m not getting the network???????????????

We are unable to get the network for last 2 months. We always have to go out in the open area and call. Earlier we were not facing this problem.                                         Sir, I am a regular user of Airtel My Mobile no.0900551xxxx since 2006.Today at12.14 pm I got a miss call from[protected]. I did not guess about this miss call ,so I rang the number flashed on my mob.in miss call. From other side I was told that some Mr. Rajveer from AIR TEL speaking and informed me that I had won Rs.25 lac lottery from AIRTEL mausam festival customer’s Mob.nos. then he told me plese contact to my sinier lotry amount distribution officer in this number as [protected].but i culdnot contact that side. In this talk I loosed Rs.60 in my mob. balance . I am not intended to spend extra mony.want to know the truthfulness of this call whether AIRTEL launched such Scheme and I actually got some or it was fraud. If it is fraud than I want to take some action from your side because some want to take benefit of your esteemed organization and may cheat some innocent persons on your behalf. Kindly, draw the kind attention of your higher officers so that appropriate action may be taken against such fraud person who is defaming you Good Name. I shall be a good witness in this matter.
