Respected Sir/Madam,
We have recently taken an Airtel Broadband Connection with 2MBps speed having Wifi facility, "unlimited" internet usage and a limited download of 10GB for Rs999 plus taxes package. We paid a total amount of Rs5650 including a deposit of 3000, the modem charge and one month advance rental. Unfortunately, we have been extremely disappointed with the service offered to us.
Initially they delayed to activate our internet connection. After many calls, they came and activated it. Moreover, they had mentioned Rs 1550 for the modem and when they came they arbitrarily increased the price by Rs100 saying that the price had increased! Nevertheless, we did not mind and just paid the amount they asked for. However after 4days the speed dropped to 100kbps! And when we called the customer care, they told us that we have crossed our 10GB limit. This is impossible as we did not download any material. We were shocked when they told us that browsing is also counted as download. For your information, I have used the same internet connection in Delhi and never experienced such problem in spite of my frequent download there.The service was excellent and that is why I decided to go for the same Internet service provider in Karnaka.
Being foreign students here, internet is the main means of communication with our family; we have got no tv and thus rely on the news we watch online for keeping in touch with the world actualities. We feel that they are also cheating us thinking we are foreign students and frankly speaking, we never expected such a bad internet service in this so-called IT Hub in India. This is totally in contradiction to India's motto "Atithi devo bhava" regarding the treatment of tourists in India. We called several times to ask them to come and fix the problem, they promised to come but never turned up. We request you earnestly to take an action as soon as possible so that they stop cheating us regarding our internet usage.
We hope that our request will be given due consideration and that such annoying situation does not arise again. Furthermore we sincerely hope this problem gets resolved as soon as possible because we are not the only ones to face this problem. A large number of students are going through the same trouble in this state and if it continues like this everyone will discontinue their airtel net connection. Through this complaint, many may also get an idea about their worst service and give up any thought of taking up an Airtel Net connection. Please see to it that some action is taken and they stop cheating on people.

MY NAME IS 'AMIT KUMAR SINGH' AND I AM USING A AIRTEL POSTPAID CONNECTION [protected].AFTER MY BILLING CYCLE I RECEIVED A SMS FROM CUSTOMER CARE ON 02.08.2011 THAT "Your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight,31/07/2011 is Rs.0.0".ON THE NEXT DAY I.E ON 03.08.2011 AGAIN I AM RECEIVING A ANOTHER SMS FROM THE CUSTOMER CARE THAT "Your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight,01/08/2011 is Rs.297.0".THAT MEANS IN A SINGLE DAY I HAVE TALKED FOR RS.297.WHEN I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE TO CLARIFY ME THAT WHERE AND TO WHAT NUMBER FOR WHAT TIME I HAVE TALKED THAT YOU HAVE GENERATE THIS AMOUNT THEY SAY THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW.THIS WILL LET YOU KNOW AFTER BILL GENERATE THAT MEANS AFTER ONE MONTH.
AMAZING ! THINK HOW THEY CHEAT TO THE PEOPLE THAT AMOUNT IS GENERATED IN A SINGLE DAY BUT FOR WHAT THIS GENERATE IT WILL KNOW AFTER ONE MONTH.IN THE MEAN TIME CUSTOMER FORGOT EVERY THING WHAT THEY CHARGED WRONGLY.THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REMEMBER EVERY CALL DETAILS OF EVERY DAYS AT THE END OF THE MONTH.AIRTEL IS A VERY BIG CHEATER COMPANY AND I SUGGEST ALL OF YOU NEVER USE AIRTEL POSTPAID CONNECTION.THEY MAKE FOOL TO THE POSTPAID CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS THE PREPAID CUSTOMERS ALSO.
