    Recently I had taken Mobile No. [protected] and used last on 24 April 2012. After that I have to go some where out of Rajasthan So, I put out this sim and yesterday when I return and want to use again then it fails to show network. When call to customer care they replied that your Documents are not updated. So, again submit it and this will reactivate your number. Today when I go with my documents, Airtel Service Personals replied that this number goes in procedure to allot to new customer, so it is not activated.

    Very funny, when TRAI rules are suggesting that this suspension limit should be of 90 days. Then how Airtel Carelessly deactive number and refuse to activate it again.
    I think Airtel Communication is absolutely fed up of Customers, it wants to reduce it by own rules and regulation.

    So, New customers are advised to THINK 1000 TIMES BEFORE TAKING NEW CONN. OF AIRTEL..

    As other companies are waiting and giving its precious time for the CARE OF CUSTOMERS. NOT EXPLOITING THEIR TIME.

    AGAIN THANKS AIRTEL FOR YOUR BEST SERVICES TOWARDS CUSTOMERS.....

      I have been using Airtel prepaid for over 10 years and past few years I had the 1 paisa per 1 sec plan..all of a sudden around 10 days ago my plan seems to have changed without notice..I found std rates were almost doubled and even local calls were being charged at 1 rupee even if i spoke for just 10 seconds. Same thing happened to my friend and she told me she went to the Airtel office and they told her that her plan had expired. She complained to them that she was not notified about it and I have the same problem..Airtel never bothered to notify me that my plan was expiring..infact we had no clue that the 1 paisa per 1 sec had any validity in the first place. If Airtel can send its customers SMSs for so many other things why can't they notify their customers of validity of their plans and if it was going to expire soon? Obviously this is another money making gimmick by Airtel and they leave their customers in the dark and make many a extra buck in the bargain. Anyway I checked on their site & they had mentioned that for Rs22/- we can get into the 1 paisa per 1 second plan but they have not mentioned where we can do this recharge. I went to my neighborhood store and he said that this kind of recharge can be done only at an Airtel office..how inconvenient is that..now I have look for a Airtel office. Airtel makes things so difficult for its customers and since I'm unable to get into my old plan quickly they will continue to make money out of me. Why can't they me more transparent..this is clearly cheating.

        I find it atrocious of Airtel for having billed me Rs. 2,500 for the service disconnected by me last year itself. I am totally dissatisfied with the wrong billings and charges Airtel has been loading on your customers and most of all, they dont even bother to listen to what the customers have to say.

        I dhiraj shetty have been incorrectly charged for internet/data usage on my mobile number [protected] when I converted my number from prepaid to postpaid in July 2011 for July and august.

        I had requested for de internet pack of rs.98 a month while convertin it to postpaid from prepaid. this addon pack was not activated until I realized it in august. when I lodged a complaint with customer care I was told to lodge a complaint with de escalation team. I did that and was advised that de charges wil be waived. since then every month I kept inquiring n was always informed that rs.1100 that I was incorrectly charged in the first two bills wil be waived. I kept making de balance payments every month in good faith until I realized in December that no waivers seem to be coming. then I ceased making payments. I later received a call for my outstanding of rs.3600 n was advised to pay 2500 n balance wil be waived n de number wil be reactivated.

        de balance was not waived n I kept receivin collection calls n notices n a legal notice for de balance amount. now I am told that I wil have to pay de amount to have de number activated and de charges wil not be waived.

        it has caused me lot of trouble n harassment. I want de number activated n charges waived as most of my contacts have that number n has resulted in loss of work n relations due to de disconnection.

        kindly help to get this matter sorted.

          I purchased airtel digital tv on4May2011 through online web portal and paid rent for one year.My validity was fixed as 4june2012 as I got Rs. 250/- cashback at the time of purchasing new digital tv connection.

          2-On 31July2011 I bought a second connection and paid Rs. 1350/- which included one month rent.
          3-On 6August2011 I complained that Airtel has reduced the validity of my account upto 14October2011.I requested for rctification of error.But despite reminders no satisfactory reply was received by me.
          4- On 16October2011 I requested to cancel my second TV connection immediately by an e-mail.
          5- But my original connection was stopped by Airtel which was valid upto june2012.
          6- After repeated complaints over phone/e-mail and deposit of Rs. 100/- my connection was restored till june 2012.
          7- Again I found that my validity was reduced to 6November2011.After repeated complaints validity was reinstated.
          8- But wen i checked my account I found that again they reduced my validity till 5January2012 without any reason .I sent an e-mail on 4January2012 and lodged a complaint for repeated harassment to me.After several reminders my validity was reinstated as 14june2012 and balance of Rs.355/-.
          9- On 7January 2012 I thankedthem for rectification of their mistakes and requested to advise reasons for such follies again and again and not to repeat in future.But despite reminders no reply was sent to me.
          10- On 14April I found that again my validity reduced to 1May2012 and balance reduced to Rs. 0/- from Rs. 355/-.I sent e-mail on 14April2012 to stop harassing me time and again.But no proper reply was received by me.
          11- I sent reminder on 15April2012,23April2012,25April2012,27April2012,30April2012.
          12- As airtel has repeatedly harassed me by changing my validity without giving any satisfactory reasons.They never cared to reply my e-mails/telephone calls.During this I have suffered a lot of mental torture ,wastage of my time and money and also badly affected my business and personal life.
          As I am a sub-broker of Reliance securities Ltd..The latest update on tv are blood for my business.I was compelled to take a new Dth connection from DishTV(since Airtel stopped my connection illegaly before due date ) on 12May2012for smooth functioning of my business.
          The airtel has tried to defraud innocent client and requires stringent action against them and pay me compensation of Rs. 50000/- for torture/harassment to me.

          AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — MENTAL HERASMENT FOR ONLINE BUY

          As everybody look at the offers... I have also done the same mistake... By opting to pay online for Airtel Digital TV HD and get Rs. 250/= cash back...

          I applied for the new connection of Airtel Digital TV HD on 22/06/2011 and the very next day I got call from the customer care and they given me the Customer ID and they said "within 24 to 48 Hrs our engineers will come to your place and they will install the connection." But till now I have not contacted by any of the person from Airtel Digital TV, and when I called the Customer Care people for the 5 times... all the time they are saying the same thing "Sir Our team will get back to you with in ONE hour regarding the issue." but they are not calling back... I am feeling it as harrased... and I got my mental tension increased by paying it online... I dont know when this problem will be solved and will solve or not. I suggest poor indians not to go for any online payment for any product, very best thing is pay hard cash and get your service on spot. Because somebody is taking your money and you know them right... and if they not doing the service you can hold their coller...

            Dear Sir/ Madam
            I Munesh Singh Jamwal, R/o # 902, Phase 10, Mohali. Purchased a new connection from your Airtel Outlet at 3B2, Mohali from Gurprit (Executive) and paid him sum of Rs 300 for registration of new connection as per company policy. he provided me a sim with MDN number [protected] and told me that somebody may visit at my home at above mentioned address for Verification with in some days but there is no visit made to my home till today and the Mobile number is also barred from your end . When i asked your CCE at 121 he told me that my services are discontinued due to house found locked or person not residing at this address.
            Please tell me is this possible that a connection is given to me and i paid Rs 300 for the registration at store and after that when i got my bill after sum days of activation the amount of rs 300 is still there added in grand total of Rs 500 and see my foolishness that i paid it also on 17/05/2012 with rect. number [protected] . Why ? and second thing is this i received your welcome letter at the same address. Then how is this possible that your verification guy came and found my house locked at day time or i m not residing there.
            This is my request to you please looks into the matter and if possible re-initiate the verification tell me the other process to continue my services

              I purchased Airtel 3g data card (card no [protected]) from one of the executive of Airtel. But since very first day i am not getting good speed.
              I did complaints many times, But no resolution yet. Every time they resolved status of the calls. And no buddy is listening.
              I fed up by taking this connection. This is a corporate connection (Working in GE Healthcare) .
              When i asked for returning the data card they denied for that also.

                I am highly dissatisfied with the services provided by Airtel. I have activated the 3G services on my prepaid account.
                To one instance I my entire 3G balance of 300 MB was exauted along with by main account balance of 103 INR. I called the customer care to know the detains but they simply hanged me saying this is 3G issue, and when I contacted 3G customer care they said that this issue is prepaid issue. I finally ends with dissatisfaction.
                I recharged my talktime as well the 3G, but whenever I am accessing 3G on my smartphone, I am finding the charged are been deducted from my main balance. On calling the customer care, i get the same results. This is totally annoying as i am wasting my money and not getting the related services.
                I need someone to look into the matter, as I really want to sort this matter.

                The matter has not been resolved yet. I am continuously calling the Customer care but the CSRs are not able to sort the matter they disconnect the call or tell to hold the call for more than 5-6 mins that results in automatic disconnection of the call.

                This is weird, the customer support at Airtel is simply ignoring the customer complaints.. I am highly dissatisfied.

                  Airtel is sending SMS from AX-SYCRKT.
                  I have not subscribed, but still every now and then cricket sms are sent to my mobile. And also Rs. 1 is being deducted from 29.05.2012.
                  Kindly unsubscribe the VAS for cricket and revert the amount.
                  Also cancel all the VAS, I wish to be in Don't Disturb Mode.

                  Nothing had done to the issue till date. I am still getting messages from AX - AIRDLT, AX - SYCRKT etc. Even the amount deducted as Rs. 1 per day is not credited into my account, kindly credit the amount in my account.

                      This is Aniket. My Airtel Digital Customer id is [protected].

                      I had recharged my Airtel Digital subscription with Mega pack on 10-Dec-2011 for 6 months. At that time there was an offer of 30 days additional subscription free with the 6 month recharge. I havent got that with my pack and even after repeated calls to their customer care there is no concrete solution to my problem. The customer care is not at all supportive. They assure on arranging a call back from their Senior Executive but i havent received any call yet.

                      But its a straightforward case which can be corrected based on the records available with you. The free 30 days are NOT ADDED as promised by Airtel. Please make sure that they are added to my plan OR credit an equivalent amount which i can utilise for some other channels/plans.

                        I Col Ajay Ukidve (retired) am residing at Jamshedpur Jharkhand since Nov 2011 on business. I have bought a data/3G card from Airtel. It was working perfectly till 22 May 2012. From 22 May 2012 there is no 3G network available at Jamshedpur and Ghamaria. I tried to contact customer support at least 50 times at 198. However after a lot of options finally when the operator says we are transferring you to customer care executive they cut off calls. Thereafter I registered a complaint No PR[protected]. I got an acknowledgement on my email that we will get back to you in 2 working days. It is more than 8 days now no response. thereafter I met my lawyer and asked him to put in a case against Airtel in consumer court. I was advised to wait and apprise airtel of the same and to reconcile. This I did so vide my complaint No PR[protected]. Again I got a similar acknowledgement but yet no response. On 30 May 2012, I went to the distributor of Airtel at Jamshedpur he checked the status of my connection and said it has been blocked due to me not answering verification calls 3 times. I told him that I use my 3g card only only on my computer. So it is not always on. However he resolved that and I made a test call fitting the card in my mob, there was no problem. I explained to him that blocked or not there is no WCDMA network being detected by my modem and that is my complaint. It only connects to Airtel GPRS meaning 3G network is not present. So he called the Technical cell at Delhi and I talked to the person at Delhi. He maintained that there is no problem at Jamshedpur and Ghamaria with airtel 3G WCDMA network. Which is all nonsense. Now I do not know what to do and who to approach. I realize now that Airtel 3G is a really ******* up service with no sense of customer care at all. They are a pack of liars, scumbags as far as customer care is concerned. Being a telecom engineer myself I told the Delhi guy tell me the truth you can't bluff me. I don't mind if your system is not working it can happen. But why are you lying through your hats. Anyway now I will be taking Airtel to court for offences against the TRAI directives so also loss of business. Luckily I have logged all calls and recorded them. So also through my software all details of available networks have been recorded day and hour wise. My first step will be to file an RTI about 3G in Jamshedpur and Ghamaria to acess records from their MIS (Management Information System) ,maintanence of which is mandatory. Then I will go to the consumer tribunal. Airtel are you listening?

                        Dear Mr. Rakesh,

                        Thank you very much.
                        I am pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved. I am now getting the WCDMA Network at Bistupur Jamshedpur since the last 3 days. If it could be resolved in just 24 hours after recording this complaint here, it could have as well been done earlier. It appears to me that the problem was not of a very complicated nature, most probably the RF transmitter was off due to negligence or not carrying out proper inspections and maintenance checks as per SOP's laid down of BTS stations, or maybe trunk access servers were down and this area is last priority. Whatever.

                        My only concern is that your customer service via phone is most appalling, to say in the least. My suggestion is to please try and practice Integrity, Authenticity and thinking a bit bigger than yourselves. So also I feel that there should be a quicker access to customer care executives as far as complaints are concerned rather than trying to shield them via a host of telephonic selection procedures which take more than 20 minutes just to access a human person. As a matter of fact there is no number for selection of complaints in your lengthy telephonic procedure at 198. What counts in the end is human psychology, which needs a human interaction when a customer is angry. Machine generated responses are no good at that point of time. I think airtel needs to have a revamp of customer service procedures as well as more training is required for response teams.

                        Dear Rakesh,

                        My network problem has been sorted out, but another problem has started.
                        I tried to recharge my 3g data pack for Rs 450 on 15 June it is not getting recharged on my No - [protected]. Again I tried to recharge on 16 June same "recharge not successful". Again I tried to recharge Rs 251 today from a different vendor same result recharge not successful. I recharged a Rs. 60 voice pack that was successful from same vendor. I have a balance of 402.58 gb available on my card. However it is valid only up to 18 June. That means from 19 June I will be left with no data connection. Please tell me why. Instead of working on my job, again I have to resort to resolving issues which should not happen. Please do look into this new problem.

                          This is with reference with the new wi-fi connection taken by me on 31st May at my place Lola Residency Madinaguda Hyderabad 500050. I got this connection through Mr David( airtel ph no [protected]) , this is the same number which is advertised in My area for internet connection.

                          After deposting the amount for router and one month rental in advance( 1mbps plan) , the cable and modem was installed at my place on 31st May

                          My account no is [protected].



                          I am really disappointed with the Service offered by Mr David, he had given assurance that router would be installed on 1st June at my place by evening, the whole day he dint pick my phone nor responded to my sms. Finally I had to ask Apanna (ph no [protected], service enginner who iinstalls modem) to talk to David and give the router

                          I have got the router on 2nd June , but I am facing problm in installing the wi-fi connection, David is not picking my phone, neither he is assiting me in installing the router and wif-i connection



                          I am left helpless now, I have done the full payment but the service is not installed at my premises, even your a/c managers dont respond once they collect payment.

                          please address this issue immediately.

                            My Airtel No is [protected].

                            I signed-up for a 250 Rs 1GB 3G data pack on 18th May 2012.

                            Until 5 days I received 3G speed (3.1Mbps max). However, 24th May onwards speed came down drastically to 6Kbps whilst I still had more than 350MB data available in 3G account.
                            Until today, issue stands unresolved.

                            I complained to customer care at 121 and was issued complaint no#[protected] dated 24th May 2012.
                            I was informed technical team will call me once issue has been resolved within 7 days, latest by 31st May 2012.

                            31st May has already passed; when I called customer care to know the status of complaint.
                            To my utter surprise the customer care guy informed me the complaint has already been attended and issue stands closed.
                            He could not tell me as how the issue was closed and what resolution was offered to customer.
                            But, he did mention the issue was closed by technical backend staff to whom ticket was escalated.
                            He added that he can only register a fresh complaint and this will again go in 7 days ETA.
                            This is totally ridiculous. I was given second complaint no.

                            There is nothing wrong with handset (iPhone) or the cell tower. I've tested on several devices and locations.
                            I own 3 other Airtel numbers and they all have 3G speed as subscribed for.
                            The problem is only with one number mentioned above.
                            I provided every possible technical data including the LAC and Cell ID of my area to your guys.
                            Nothing was done to attend my complaint in-spite repeated requests.

                            The Airtel relations outlet at Vasant Vihar, Delhi told me the restriction is with on my number and not a network fault.
                            He said the low speed might be because I also have about 300MB data left in my 2G GPRS a.c.
                            However, he was also not sure why and redirected me to customer care at 121.

                            I therefore, request you to kindly intervene and provide me a solution.
                            I am paying for 3G service. If I needed 2G speed, I could have just taken 98Rs pack that provides same data of 1GB.

                            I am paying premium of over 150Rs for the SPEED which is not getting delivered.

                            On several follow-ups, no one has ever tried to contact me once. All I get automatic texts and emails that my email has been replied or complaint has been attended. It feels like I am dealing with living robots who are trained to email scripted responses w.o understanding the issue.

                            Yes, after involving the nodal authority, issue was resolved after much hassle.
                            I just hope I don't get any further situation to deal with customer care.

                              Dear Sir/Mam m using Airtel DTH services bearing Customer ID [protected]. I have logged complaint on 11/05/2012 regarding no signal due to breakage in dish. they told me that i will be charged rs.25 for part and rs.100 as service charge. i agreed but no one visited. after repeated call to customer care person visited on 15/05/2012 and asked me rs.200 (100 for part and 100 for service) n when i asked for bill he refused saying he had no bill book.
                              Again customer care person assured me a refund of rs.41 n 85 paise for not working of DTH for five days( 8.37*5). but i rcv. just rs.14 n 95 paise. Now i called them 2-3 times but they say diff. thing everytime.
                              So i request to look for:
                              *Extra charging that too without bill
                              *non refunding of full amount.

                              Dear Sir,

                              I have purchase airtel difital dish. Two to three times signal problems in dish. Now since last three days i have call three to four times to Airtel difital dish call center for short out my complant. Call centr's person give me three time new complain no. in three days.

                              They asked that engineet come moring. after morning asked afternoon, and then upto. 6.0.

                              AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Service Issues

                              Set up box of DTH TV provided by Airtel is not working since last 15 days.
                              Registered a complaint on 12 Dec'2010.
                              Contacted to Customer Care[protected] several times for resolution of the problem. They have assured for resolution on 13 Dec'2010 (03:00pm). But till date no one has visited at my residence to resolve the problem.
                              Complaint service reference no. is 4765802 dated 12 Dec'2010.
                              I got a number from Customer care to contact their service personnel as [protected]. (Tried this given number for at least 10 times, this person dosen't bother to pick up a phone ven to response).

                              I am fed up with this service. I want to claim compensation for my time wasted calling on the STD numbers and troubled.
                              till today i.e. 07 june'12 no resolution to complaints...however i rcv. a call frm ur side for resolution for problem.
                              i cant understand how u ppl resolve the problems. Nor i m refunded neither rcvd bill. can u explain...!!!

                                Hi Admin,

                                After submitting several requests to Airtel (customer care, nodal officers) for deactivating my airtel PC secure from last 1 year.

                                Every month i call them up to remove the billing of this antivirus from my broad band bill, they remove and still next month its get added into my account. I have written 100 emails to them asking to deactivate it permanently but they are unable to do so.


                                I am very much frustrated from this process and requesting you to please look into this.

                                Please see to it that I don't use PC Secure Antivirus that Airtel provides still every month the usage charges are added to the bill. I have to call up the customer care every time to get it depreciated from the amount as it clearly shows that the service has been deactivated since January 2012.
                                It is a total inconvenience to call up the customer care every time the bill comes even though it has been clearly specified that we don't use the ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE. This is happened for the fifth time now including the previous month itself.
                                This is very frustrating and time consuming. Please look into it and deactivate it once in for all.

                                  I have booked for new airtel broadband connection 15 days before . Some field person came and took initial amount. They took the money and required documents. And they never picked the call again. Somehow we got the alternate number and for straight 10 days they made commitment for next day which never came for a single time.

                                  frustrated we went to Bharti Airtel Divyashree,bennagghatta road,bangalore-560029 towers to log a complain and they told they will deactivate the request which I never requested and I never got an answer why.

                                    This is for Airtel broadband new connection,
                                    In my region malleshpalya in bangalore to be specific , they said the connection feasibility is there , they just took my money
                                    and later said there is no connection available , after much of follow up they said they will dispatch a refund cheque of 1000 Rs.
                                    I had to go out of station ,which i already informed them and asked them to return the money before 12 th february (one month later after opting for the new connection), but their pathetic courier service came later, as they opted for pathetic courier service , the cheque returned back.

                                    After calling the airtel customer care they gave me the overnite courier number, overnite person said to send an sms to the address where courier has to be dispatched. After sending the sms , no one is picking the call from overnite courier , this is so frustating just to take the money to fulfill the company targets and fool around with the customer take their money and let them follow up and waste their time, god save india from these time wasters, this is the reason india is not able to come up , due to these people's pathetic service.

                                    I get regular calls airtel that the connection is available in your area , would you like to take a new connection , they say feasibility is there, then again they would take the money, another cheque and then let me follow it up, airtel is a doing really nice here.

                                    Airtel Broadband — Dirty Customer Service

                                    I spoke with Sridhar Babu @ Airtel at 6:40-6:45 in the evening informing him that I am facing a lot of problem with Airtel and its connection and that 2-3 times we have already spoken with someone regarding it and they have not rectified it yet..... I told him I want to speak with a TL, the agent assured me that will transfer the call and hung up on me.........I called again and spoke with Ravi Kumar @ Airtel at 6:58 requesting to speak to a TL and explained the same situation agin to him. He placed me on hold again stating he will transfer the call . he transferred the call to Anand Kumar from Escalation to whom I had to explain the same issue again he was so argumentative and definately does not know customer service..... all the 3 whom I spoke with told me the same thing that they will take a complaint and get it resolved in 24 hrs etc etc. Which I had been listening to for the past 2 months. I asked the guy (Anand) if he could transfer me to his boss because he was not helping me in anyway he did the same thing an agent did then whats the difference between a level 1 agent and a guy in escalation... Do escalation guys sit there just to say sorry and log complaints....Finally I got so pissed with him and had to hang up on him...... U R ALL BUNCH OF LIARS AND JOKERS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AND RESOLVE ISSUES. JUST SHUT DOWN AIRTEL BECAUSE THERE ARE BETTER PROVIDERS ON EARTH.....!

                                    Airtel Broadband — Follow these with Airtel Broadband

                                    1. Never take connection through an agent. They are mostly fraud. Airtel is spoiling its reputation even through these rogue agents. Check out, you will find many agents disappeared after customers paid them for application.
                                    2. Directly contact Airtel office for connection. They can give you the appropriate time and information.
                                    3. Don’t pay more than Rs.1000/- for installation. Some agents even charge some extra amounts for themselves, just by showing excuses & immature reasons.
                                    4. Be careful of your bill. Airtel is expert even in sending false bills that you never used nor expected. Always be ready to take the risk of facing false bills before taking connection.
                                    5. Taking chances, sometimes Airtel slow downs the DSL speed than it should be, so that customers will be eager to shift for higher plans. If you ever face like this then immediately cancel Airtel subscription and shift to other services.
                                    6. When contacting Airtel Customer Care Executives, be careful before they disconnect from their sides. It is usually done when you can prove of their false and you're right. To avoid you they disconnect the call.
                                    7. Customer Care Executives also knows how to waste your time, and provide false information. Don’t believe their advices completely, or else you will suffer later. Most of them are incompetent, working for money and not for giving solutions to the customers.
                                    8. Don’t ever consider Airtel to be the best broadband and telecommunication service provider in India. Just by seeing large number o[censored]sers doesn’t mean to be the best. In reality there are better and cheaper services than Airtel.
                                    9. By experiences, all customers are not equally satisfied to Airtel. Some people even hate the name Airtel, because of their worst experiences. To them, Airtel failed to provide good services. Take this into consideration.
                                    10. And last, please, if anyone ever faced these similar experiences with Airtel feel free to comment and support me.

                                    Airtel — call not connect on specific series on specific region

                                    when i try to call on [protected] (idea mumbai) or series 869282 from my [protected] or any airtel maharastra mobile number call not connect & error is "number does not exist". in a specific region (khopoli).
                                    this happens with airtel only. i was called 4 times in customer care. they only say " your problem solved".
                                    & im still facing the same issue.

                                      Hi,

                                      I am an unfortunate customer of Airtel 3G data services ([protected]), from Bangalore. I am writing this complaint after so many attempts over last 3 weeks at their customer support[protected].

                                      I took the connection in Feb 2012, and for the first 2 months the speed and the service was okay. Problems started from May onwards

                                      Issue 1: Speed of the service

                                      From May onwards, the 3G service speed has reached the speeds of snail (snail pace) and when I checked with the airtel outlet in Domlur, they told it is due to an new service 4G LITE introduced.! What a good reason for a customer to cheer!! At the expense of existing customers of 3G, they are getting into new 'service' frontiers!!! The only option with the existing customers is to upgrade to 4G, praying to almighty that a new 5G service may not be launched in another 1 year. The sad part is that the USB device (Huawei) which costs around Rs. 2000 cannot be used for 4G, and you cannot get it exchanged. In short, if you need normal speeds on internet using USB datacard device, you need to spend additional 3K or something.

                                      Issue 2: Pathetic customer service:

                                      Initial stages when I tried to call them (around 8:00 PM around May 14,15..)
                                      [protected][protected][protected][protected][protected]
                                      While calling on the customer 'care' number[protected], first some junior people will take up the call. Though you choose English as the language, these persons will greet in Kannada, and start talking in Kannada. If you dont understand or speak in Kannada, they will say they will hand over to Senior staff. Then you will hear incessant rings at the table of supposedly Senior staff, but even after a long time non one picks , the only option would be to wind up the call.

                                      Later on, after so many days of trial during day time, thank God, I got English speaking customer support people. These people used to tell about the network settings, and one day they say to select "WCDMA Preferred" and 'All Brands' and another day to choose "WCDMA Only" and 'GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA2100'. But selecting neither of them of them proved to solve my issue.

                                      Later, I found that my main account balance was 0 (though I had charged it for some amount while taking the connection). I called up the customer 'care' and one lady there told me that it should be minimum 1 Re to access the internet, so I recharged it for Rs. 100. And just before this, I had recharged the dongle for 450 which I believe will go to 'Dedicated Account'. (plan 450). After this comes the third issue as below.

                                      Issue 3: Looting from account balance:

                                      Later after a day, I was shocked to see that the main balance has dropped to 0.01. (It reminded me of the leaky bucket in our hostel bathroom, during my college days.) I started getting SMS like this.

                                      I called up the customer care, talked to one Manikandan. He said his manager can help, but was busy. He arranged for a call back and after some time one guy named Prashant called me back. His explanation was that airtel sends messages for these services and I might have put the SIM into my mobile and sent reply as YES. But I have never moved this SIM from the Huawei dongle, nor have I sent a single message from the airtel application for the dongle.

                                      I asked to withdraw the Radio service or any other useless service which I have never opted for; and revert back the money immediately.
