I am Saurabh My NO is [protected].One week ago when I applied for portability.Custome care executive call me and told me we are giving you best offer just sms CANCELCO mob no to 51619.After 4-5 days has been passed today when I called some one my bal was 103.40 after a call of 4 sec my bal became 102.80.Means 60 paisa.After that I note that 60 Paisa is deducting from my account instead of 20 paisa. I got free talk time of 120rs A2A.But my rest offer 10p A2A & 30P A2Others has yet activate.

I Tried 198 100 times I am unable to connect the customer care.

WHAT IS THE REASON I AM UNABLE TO CALL CUSTOMER CARE.

Now I have no way to tell my problem.That is why I am complainting here

I want a quick resolution.It is very shamefull for Airtel side.

I KNOW MR RAKESH ITS A VERY BIG ISSUE AND YOU REQUIRE UNLIMITED TIME.EVERY DAY I AM WAITING FOR RESOLUTION AND EXECUTIVES SAYS IT WILL BE RESOLVED NEST DAY AGAIN THIS LOOPS COUNTINOUE.

Mr Rakesh I just check I call on my second no for 2 sec Again I was charged 60 Paisa instead of 10 paisa call to airtel.

I don't know why you are writing that my complaint has been resolved.Cam you call me.

    I had a bought an Airtel Digital HD connection (Cust Id: [protected]) in June 2010. The Set top Box has started malfunctioning recently, the problem is the sound output vanishes often. I had registered a complaint and the technician visited today 22/7/2011 and said the set top has problems and needed to be changed. He replaced it with another old repaired set top box and said since the original box is out of warranty (one year period), I need to pay him Rs.1000 for the replacement. The warranty for the the replaced set would be 6 months and there is no guarantee that it will not conk-off after 6 months and I am expected to shell out 1000 bucks or may be more again. I therefore refused the replacement and the call has been closed from Airtel side.

    It seems Airtel cannot repair the set top box, nor have any AMC.

    This is blatant extortion deliberatly fabricated by Airtel as one does not have any other option (procuring something from the market).

      Hello Sir,

      This is regarding account number 16003196. I have a landline number
      ([protected]) and a broadband connection ([protected]_kk) under this
      account. The broadband account is under 'Freedom 1399' plan with 4
      mbps speed up to Fair Usage Share of 25 GB and 256kbps unlimited after
      that. In the past 11 months of having this connection, the limit has
      never been exceeded. On 17/07/2011 morning I got an email and SMS
      informing that I have crossed 80% of the fair usage share. But Airtel
      was doing upgradation I couldn't check the details. On 20/07/2011 I
      got an email and SMS saying that I have reached 100% of my usage and
      that my speed will be reset to 256kbps till the next billing cycle. I
      couldn't check the details due to the same upgradation issue.

      But today (22/07/2011), I logged into the Airtel portal and checked my
      unbilled usage and found it to be 11.91 GB from the beginning of this
      month cycle (05/07/2011) to (21/07/2011). The screenshot of the same
      is attached.

      This proves that usage alerts sent to me were wrong and I request that
      the connection speed be reset to 4 mbps immediately as the FUS has not
      been crossed. I have been facing the trouble o[censored]sing a 256kbps
      connection for the past 3 days though I paid for 4 mbps till 25 GB
      which as per your records I have not crossed this month or crossed any
      month. I have raised a complaint with id 114280. I request you to take
      immediate action to restore my connection to 4 mbps speed and spare me
      from the misery of 256kbps that I have been going through for the past
      3 days.

        I am from hydrebad. According to this offer when I insert my sim first in mobile this offer i should get avail but this is not the case. I tried doing it again and again but I am not getting any Mobile Office Offer. Also, compalint to 198 - 3 calls, 1 drop by executive, 2nd listen to query and put hold and no repsonse. 3rd said its active and didnt unerstood problem and i am speaking and he kept the phone down. This was just a very careless response I got from Customer Care. First they dont even know about this offer they say and this offer is there as you can check above Airtel website.and thay provide me a complain register number is cbnra[protected] but for name sake they given ...still problem is not resolved

        I really need to get this offer as I think I should get it and I am a net user and with a mobile of N8 i guess internet seem to be a necessity. Now kindly please response to my query and tell me what could be possible solution. What tell me I feel my problem is genuine and better this offer get activated by Airtel on my no [protected]

          This is for your information that I have lost my mobile phone with a post-paid SIM card (MSISDN No: [protected]) of Airtel while traveling by an Auto Rickshaw Taxi on 21/07/2011 at around 08:30 PM with my daughter Srimati Luna Sharma Singh and granddaughter Miss Diya Singh from Downtown Hospital to Sachal Path, Six Mile, Guwahati-781022. When I reached home after paying the driver I realized that I’ve lost my mobile and tried to ring that number with another mobile, but after ringing for a few seconds the mobile stopped ringing (Somebody had switched off that mobile). My suspicion is on the Auto Rickshaw driver (He is from the Downtown Auto Stand) and I and my daughter can identify him by his face and appearance.

          Now I request you to kindly deactivate my SIM momentarily as I file an FIR to the Dispur Police Station and submit a copy to your company for a duplicate SIM.

            I have been a cursed subscriber of Airtel Broadband for the last 1 year. I took this connection in my mother's name Vaasanthi Devi in the year 2010 and the services have been working intermittently. The only thing consistent about this is their billing system. No matter whatever happens, they bill you... irrespective of their landline or broadband works. I work or browse when the line is up and idle most of the times. I have taken a Reliance broadband wireless backup connection and that works seamlessly.

            The excuses given by the Airtel chaps are weird and blame on the local municipality who dig up the roads. I am not sure why they provide a service if they cant guarantee or have a solid restoration plan is in place. Worst is if I request for a discount on the bill for services not working for nearly a month, I dont get any call backs.

            Their customer service number is not reachable from any other line except from the landline where the fault is and thats down. I am having issues reaching them to have my connection surrendered.

            The faulty line is[protected] and my mobile number is [protected]...

            Its alarming & very sad to see Airtel behaving in such a bad way. I received a call from one of the individual from +[protected] who named herself Nazira. God forbid her language... I couldnt understand anything she spoke but could understand that she was tying to give me discounts. The more I disagreed & wanted to have the line surrendered, the more discount I got. For what? For a dead telephone and broadband connection we were discussing rentals that needs to be paid. I am not sure what they think I am.

            Dear Airtel,

            Please discontinue my services & as the line has not been working for more than a month, you have to waive of the bill without which I would raise the matter accordingly. I work for an English Telecom company & can show you evidence that the DSL line has not been working for more than a month. I have also recommended all my friends to switch over from Airtel in Chennai region to blistering speed wireless broadband services from Reliance to name a few.

            Whats so frustrating is that I am bombarded with messages asking to pay my bill... How sad.

            The request for surrendering the broadband and landline was opened on July 21st and the same is still open. I have been told that I wished to retain the line which is absolutely false. Everytime I call up once in five days to check when the kit would be removed and taken back, I am told that there is some kind of negotiation.

            Also my request to be forwarded to the team manager is always discarded as they say the managers are always busy. So frustrating to have Airtel services.

            I am going to topup my BSNL line to a high speed broadband connection. Wish this connection is disconnected at the earliest. Surprised to see very very low professional behaviour from Airtel customer services.

            Surprise call from Airtel after about more than 2 months. They are calling from Legal apartment & claim 980 rupees as charges that I need to pay for the line thats been dead since June. They did not mention anything about the waiver they have given me but just call with another senior person speaking to me claiming they are from legal department.

            Dear Airtel, Could you please stop all these stuffs & close my account. I should infact file for service credits which I am not doing as 1) I dont have energy to run around inheriting the basic qualities for a common employed man 2) I dont want to have any relationship with Airtel at all in the future. I have got aged parents at home & if you guys are going to disturb them, I am afraid I will need to raise a complaint.

            Why are you not responding to any of these points I have raised.

            My name is Vinoth Kumar & emailing this for telephone line[protected] which was surrendered in July 2011 after 1 year of awful service experience. The line is in my mother's name S Vaasanthi Devi.

            I have raised multiple service requests and also escalated to nodal officer but have only got standard template emails and small waivers. I wanted resolution of the fault and not 200 to 300 rupees discount. I am a home based worker, working as a 3rd line team head in a UK service provider company and because my broadband services went dead for more than 1 month continuous period, I had to travel to office 60 kms up and down churning out fuel bills for about 500 rupees every day.

            I painfully waited without any resolution on the following requests raised but not handled professionally at all.

            47927836 was closed after the line started working on 27th but just for one day.

            1428336 which was raised for surrendering line was closed saying resolution which was not the case.

            They would just close off cases without intimation or when the line works for an hour or 2. I am fed up with this quality of service which I am experiencing in Chennai. I have a broadband service for close to 8 years in Bangalore[protected] which has been working without any issues. I have surrendered the same yesterday (19th October) as Airtel has surprised me with a letter warning of legal action for 980 rupees only. I wasted close to 15k on my fuel bills and inflicted so much stress on myself and your legal team on call is addressing me as if they were handling a petty criminal. My view of Airtel has completely changed and would only9500 voice these to my fellow family and colleagues who are all Airtel subscribers.


            I expect you to settle and nullify the bill as I should have put a request for service credits for broadband not working for more than 45 days and not the other way.

              hello sir,
              i had purchased airtel prepaid sim card of sim number[protected]H-2 and mobile number [protected] on 11th june 2011 i had given my id proof and photo sim activated on but when after 20 days i called the customer care on 198 to verify my details they told me that the simcard is not on my name, and they told me to ask the sim dealer,i asked dealer about that he told me there is a chance of mistake with distributor or something, than i went to the nearest airtel office and resubmitted my documents but i still dont know where my photo and id proof went and also i want to know if anyone is illegally using simcard on my id should be blocked immediately.

                Hi,

                My Airtel DTH customer No. is [protected]. The problem started when Airtel engineer shifted my antenna for SAT2 reception. The antenna got demounted due to winds. We have advice them not to mount antenna their because we known it was not a right place. They just carelessly mounted antenna and went away. Within 2 days it got demounted due to winds.
                I have logged compliant with customer care on 12-july-2011 for it. No engineer visited on site for 4 days. I my self mounted it and after 4 days engineer ([protected]) visited. He just made correction to antenna setting and with out solving my problem went away.

                When I ask for shifting of antenna to correct place he replied that, he don’t have necessary equipment to do it. (He was not carrying even a screw with him).
                Since then I have continuously taking follow up with customer care and also speak to escalation. My problem remains as it is. I am totally depends on winds.

                I m fed up with taking a follow up with customer care. They only create a complaint no. and give you bogus assurance. And at end of day a sms saying “your complaint has been resoled, if the issue is unresolved please call [protected](an always unreachable and unanswered number)

                The problem still persists. I just called customer care for update, they informed me that the complaint has been closed (without solving problem). This is happing with me since 12-july-2011. I don’t remember how many complaint I had logged.

                Yesterday I had get call from Airtel saying my problem will be solved by today. This migration of antenna cause me headache.

                  Even I am facing the same problem. I have not subscribed to any videos but they are charging daily Rs 5 from my account. When speaking with customer care executives several times they said you are not subscribed to any such. But daily I am receiving messages of deduction for the same.

                  Message says like: You have been renewed for subscription VideosParlou subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs.5.

                  After that i'll move to custmer court.
                  Daily Rs.5/- deducting from my Mobile No.[protected] that you've been renewed for GamesClub subscription. I've not suibscribed any Games from my Mobile. I've sent messaages to concerned number also that I have not subscribed the same but every day Rs.5/- will be deducted from my account.

                    i am having airtel dish TV and it was running very good.but on date 21/07/2011 airtel dish TV engineer was came at 11:00 am at my home and they was telling that we have to change the direction of your dish tv as setelite signal was change to other direction.so i was says that ok. but after 2 hr engineer can not able to set the signal thats why i tell him that please restored the privious setting so i can watch my faviourite TV program.engineer works a lots but they will not able to restored my previous setting.so that all progaram on TV i miss due to airtel dish TV. and engineer says that call to custmer care .

                    so that i compain to custmer care but he will says that it will be repaired on date 26/07/2011.as problem is not from my side because dish TV is running previously very good with out any interpution.
                    it is very known thing that if problem is happen due to mistake of engineer not from my side so problem should be resolved with in this day .and also custmer care excuitive says that for reloacation of dish i have to pay 200 Rs as problem is created by airtel dish tv why i should pay and waste my valvuble 5 day due to mistake of airtel dish tv.

                    i am taking leave in this period for watching TV and this is the mental herssment by dish tv .this problem shoud be solved whitin that day only .

                    This has reference to my unattended complaint no.10084306 dt. 16.07.2011, No. 10238996 dated 21.07.2011 and online grivance dated 18th and 21st.

                    the first complaint was closed, as I was informned by your tele informer today without taking care of the matter.
                    the online grivance was not attended for reasons best known to you.
                    the third complaint was registered in the evening and I was told that the concerned engineer would follow up and call me within one hour. There was no contact, whatso ever.

                    this shows utter negligence and carelessness toward the customer in the present age of competition. this also reflects the company's attitude in providing after sale service.

                    Now I have two options: 1. either you settle the complaint within 24 hours
                    2. or i shall opt for another service besides Airltel dth

                    In case of the second option, I want to know the procedure thorugh which I can get back the cost of initial investment (Rs. 1750/-) as it was due to your ill treatment that I am forced to opt out. and get my refund of the remaining amount of rs. 1273.58/- outstanding amount as on date. Well in case I dont get a befitting reply, I will have no other option but to call for legal help in this matter, as it has already put a lot of mental pressure on me.

                    i have already gathered all documents for the purpose. and the tele calls can also be retrieved, I suppose once I get into the legal procedure.
                    work was not done till 22/07/2011 .

                        I AM ONE AMONG THE MILLION AFFECTED CUSTOMERS OF AIRTEL MOBILE UNJUST SERVICES. AIRTEL RECRUITS A BUNCH OF GUNDAS FOR THEIR TELECALLING SERVICES AND GIVES A HEAVY MENTAL AND VERBAL TORTURE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS BY WHICH THEY SEEM TO GAIN NOTHING BUT ONLY LOSE THEIR NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS DAY BY DAY.
                        THE SITUATION OF AIRTEL CUSTOMERS BECOME MORE WORSE IF ANY OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ALSO POSSESS AN AIRTEL CONNECTION. FOR INSTANCE IF A WIFE HAS A POST PAID AIRTEL NUMBER AND HER PAYMENT IS DELAYED DUE TO UNAVOIDABLE REASONS THE AIRTEL OFFICIALS BAR THE INCOMING CALLS OF HER HUSBAND'S MOBILE PREPAID SERVICE FOR NO FAULT OF HIS. TO WORSEN THE SITUATION THEY RECEIVE ALL (NO MATTER PERSONAL OR OFFICIAL) CALLS WHICH COME TO THE HUSBANDS MOBILE AND ENQUIRE ABOUT EACH AND EVERY CALLER'S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MOBILE USER AND ALSO INFORMING THAT THE HUSBAND'S INCOMING CALLS HAVE BEEN BARRED BECAUSE OF THE WIFE'S PAYMENT DELAY. ALL THESE CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES ARE DONE BY AIRTEL GUNDAS IN THE NAME OF TELECALLERS.                           I Amit Kumar Shaw residing at 7/m gopi mandal lane,cossipore, kolkata - 700002 am not a customer of Airtel and do not possess any Airtel number([protected]). I got a mail from OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICE AUTHORITY,KOLKATA (the P .L. case no is 15356) some time back stating I've some payment due and that a petition has been filed against me before the LOK ADALAT and I hvae been asked to appear before the LOK ADALAT on 23rd july 2011 at 10.30am i want to let u know that i do not posess any such airtel number as stated in the mail and neither have i submitted any documents required for a postpaid connection so i m not liable to pay any amount that is outstanding against that number.I talked to the airtel executive earlier regarding this matter and i made it clear that i do not posess any such number but still i m receiving a mail acussing me of holding the number.

                          Pls check what are you sending and who is the recipient of the mail before sending such mails

                          I can proceed for a legal action if such things repeat again

                            Sir,
                            This is Anubhab Tripathy, residing at Kaikondrahalli, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore,560035. My Airtel broadband connection was activated on 15th June,2011 and on 12th July,2011 the connection was down. I called up the Customer Care Executive on 13th afternoon and logged a complaint regarding "Broadband not working" and addressed the issue is urgent and hence has to be solved soon. As per the company policy, they need to resolve the issue in 12 working hours. But, instead, since 13th afternoon I had to call twice a day to the customer care executives, requesting them to send a technician to resolve the issue. Then, finally on escalating to the Nodal officer, one technician turned up, checked the connection and said that the DB box to which my connection is made has to replaced, as the port to which my connection has been made is faulty and all other ports are preoccupied. He said, he would come the next day and change the DB box and fix the issue. Since, then there has been no sign of any technician to address the issue, till now. I have called 19 times to the customer care executives and have talked to half a dozen of their tower managers, the nodal officer and the appellate officer. Everyone had only one thing in common, "We are sorry for the inconvenience and we shall fix the issue soon." All words no action. Like always I had to follow-up from side, by calling atleast twice everyday, yet no action. On 20th July I was told that, there is trenching work going on in my area, due to which the whole network is down in my area, and they had been trying several times to contact me, but I was unreachable. I receive almost 15 calls everyday and I answer to all of them. Even if I miss any, I call them back to inquire about the thing. I wonder when was I unreachable only to these guys. Moreover, my neighbours and the net cafe in my area are happily able to access the same network that I am using. So, does that mean that the trenching work was going on for only my connection. Again after reopening the ticket logged, they said they would resolve the issue soon. On 21st July I was informed that the issue is resolved and the link is up. I got it verified from home that, the issue is not resolved yet and no-one had come to address the issue. This meant that the technicians simply close the issues, whenever they feel like, just to save themselves from being escalated to their management. What can one expect form such a unprofessional and irresponsible organization? Every single employee is a cheat and wants to turn their face off the issues. Since last 8 days, these people have been fooling me and have been literally harassing me like anything. Kindly look into the issue and take as much strict action as possible against these cheats.

                            AS PER APPLICATION THE VOICE CALLS 100 -----NO MENTION THAT THESE WILL BE LOCAL, WHICH MEANS HIDDEN COSTS.

                            Hi,
                            Plz find my review. Below is the mail i written [protected]@airtel.in, but till now after 1 week didnt got any response.

                            I have Airtel broad band connection (without landline) .

                            3 weeks before I have just called Airtel customer care to inquire whether Airtel service is available in (Bangalore electronic city and Sarjjapur area). It was just an enquiry and I have never asked airtel guy to shift my connection.(plz check the recorded call) . After 2 days what I found is that my connection is deactivated by Airtel as they have raised an SR to shift my connection. First of all I have never asked to shift my connection to anywhere.

                            Therefore, I again I called Airtel customer care to activate my connection and it was informed to me that it will take 10 days and it will be done before 29th of September. I called customer care for at least 6 times and every time I requested to expedite the process as its very urgent and necessary. Every time my call is transferred to escalation desk but nothing happened. After 5 days I got a call from Airtel on 24th of September asking when your connection got deactivated( I answered – Five days back). The call got disconnected and I never got any call again.


                            When yesterday on 26th sep, I again called customer care to check the status and I got shocked to know that you guys had Closed my SR stating reason that I don’t want to continue my connection. I mean such a big lie and cheating from Airtel . Don’t the guys in customer care have any moralities to lie to customer . We never expected such a service from a brand named – AIRTEL.


                            IT’S A Shame to get associated with AIRTEL.

                            First of all my connection got deactivated because of the mistake from customer care only and after that we are getting such a lie from cutomer care.



                            Are you guys forget all the professionalism and just running customer care for namesake.


                            If you guys doesn’t provide service to customer, please disconnect and close my account immediately. We don’t want to be associated with Cheaters like AIRTEL.

                            Airtel — Irresponsible management and customer care

                            Connectivity and network issue has caused business loss and other damages. Irrespective of several written communication to take the responcibility for the deficiency in service, there is no communication. This is distrust and cheat.

                              MY ACTUAL CASE: WHAT YOU HAVE TO READ (!)


                              In this connection I have to reiterate that:

                              a) ) I have paid all the dues i.e. my monthly bill and the fraction of bill up
                              to 28/09/2010.

                              b)Mr. Santhosh of Habshiguda franchise had issued the subscriber's
                              receipt.(which I am enclosing now as per your request)

                              c) After my going to US my daughter Dr. (Mrs.) Pallavi had visited the
                              Habshiguda Franchise several times and pursued the matter for migration. She
                              has been told that Mr. Santhosh had left the Airtel job and it seems he had not
                              put
                              up my request for migration.

                              Thus: I) Bharti Airtel Ltd., had failed to control over its executive Mr.
                              Santhosh that he had not prefered my request for migration from postpaid to
                              prepaid
                              since 28/09/2010. After laps of 7 months Bharti Airtel Ltd., is asking the
                              customer to submit the acknowledgement receipt (!).

                              2. In your reply you have evasively stated that Rs. 3480/- has been billed
                              according to usage and hence the bill have been generated without rendering
                              item-wise detailed account which will reveal that

                              II) Bharti Airtel Ltd., had failed to update the customer request and claimed
                              wrong bills by hiding its employees mistakes and put the consumer into loss.

                              3.You have stated in your reply that there is an excess amount of Rs. 238.22
                              for which refund request has been taken.

                              III) As a matter of fact the refund will be more than that amount, if once it
                              is agreed that my request for migration from postpaid to prepaid was not taken
                              into account by the failure of duty of Bharti Airtel Ltd., employee (Mr.
                              Sathosh as per the acknowledgment receipt) and thus wrong bills have been
                              generated by hiding its employees mistakes.

                              4. You have not replied to my query that Bharti Airtel Ltd., had failed to
                              supervise the duties and responsibilities of its executive Mr. P. Ganesh Babu
                              who had collected the amount of Rs. 3480/- on 17/03/2011 and had not updated
                              until 05/04/2011 and put the consumer in distress, on which
                              date the cause of action arisen.

                              IV) I have requested to provide me a copy of Rules/conditions of Bharti
                              Airtel Ltd., wherein the mobile services of referral person( i.e. my daughter
                              Dr. V. Pallavi) will be deactivated if a customer is failed to pay the bill
                              (of course wrongly claimed by Bharti Airtel Ltd.,). Because one of employee
                              working in Legal Department of Bharti Airtel Ltd., had threatened my daughter
                              Dr. V. Pallavi, over phone that her Mobile Phone No. [protected] will be
                              deactivated if my bill (which was wrongly claimed) is not paid.

                              6. Thus it is construed that you have not been able to address my query
                              suitably.

                              7. I am submitting the document as requested in your mail, without prejudice to
                              my right to contemplate legal proceedings against Bharti Airtel Ltd., in the
                              Consumer Court, if you are not addressing properly my grievances stated at I,
                              II, III & IV above.

                              adjusting Feb month bill due.

                              When I have contacted customer care they had repeated the same slogan like "sorry, you will

                              be receiving your refund cheque soon". Then I had esclated this issue with nodal

                              officer, Airtel requesting speedy action in this regard.

                              Proactively, I had clearly inoformed the nodal officer that my alternative address for

                              delivery and mobile number to be given to courier people and ask them to contact before

                              coming for delivery. When I contacted again the nodal officer I have got irresponsible

                              answer that the cheque returned back to our organization. Then i have insisted for proof

                              delivery from them and they are not disclosed so far.


                              One of the Nodal office finally assured that " you will receive your cheque on or before 30

                              th March 2009. I am not in receipt of the cheque so far.

                              I frustrated and plan to lodge case against Airtel with consumer court for my amount and

                              mental agony soon.

                              Expecting speedy action in this regards.

                                I am subscriber to mobile phone services of Airtel for last ten years having mobile No.[protected].Regularly there is to some messages of promotional ads. from different vendors which was ignored by me as the same belonged to Indian companies. However, on 18.07.2011 I received a message from one Jack Bernard informing that on the basis of draw conducted on mobile numbers my number has won 500,000 GBP. I was also asked to give my personal details on e.mail address [protected]@live.com with contact number [protected].I am fully aware that this is a fraud scheme.
                                the message was repeated on 20.07.2011. Most irritating was the missed call originating from Pakistan having number [protected]. In the light of frauds being committed on unsuspecting citizens as well as terror activities conducted by Pakistan based jihadis on Indian soil, it becomes more disturbing how come the mobile phone numbers are obtained by unknown persons.

                                    Airtel has been a headache for me since day one of my association with it. Some of the latest troubles I have faced are given below.

                                    1. IVR getting blocked (status – pending)
                                    The IVR facility to speak to customer care executives is getting blocked if we speak more than three times a day using this facility. Airtel says, this is because of TRAI regulation. But, I fail to understand whether TRAI has made it mandatory or has just given an option. My previous operator did not follow this practice. The IVR will be released only in the next month. My IVR got blocked last month as well as this month. Whenever I called to the customer care, my call was put on long hold and getting disconnected at the end or getting disconnected while speaking. If the customer has to call to the customer care more than thrice for resolving an issue, that shows the quality of the Airtel customer care. Instead of improving efficiency, they are using short cuts like blocking IVR so that no more complaints will be there from the number.
                                    2. Charging exorbitantly (status – pending)
                                    I have called to the number [protected] on[protected] and for 10 minutes and 28 sec, I was charged Rs.22 (i.e. Rs.2/min) instead of Rs. 6.28 as per my plan. Airtel customer care executive says, this is a service number. As far as I understand there is no concept of service numbers and non-service numbers. In fact, this is a universal access number (UAN) and all calls to this number will be charged at local call rates. This system is, in fact, for effective routing of the call, especially for business customers. Moreover, Airtel does not mention anything about call charges to the so-called ‘service numbers’ under the tariff section of its website. This way of charging is just an unhealthy business practice followed by Airtel, which is detrimental to the interests of consumers. It is noteworthy that other operators (I know at least about my previous operator) do not charge like this on the calls to UAN numbers. I am wondering now whether Airtel would charge calls to toll-free numbers as well (They start with ‘1800’ and as per the definition of Airtel, they can be the so-called service numbers)

                                    Some of the previous issues I faced are

                                    1. Porting Issues (status – solved as of now)

                                    I have submitted my application to port to Airtel on 4 June 2011 (with Unique Porting Code VA528695). . The maximum time to port is 7 days. It took 10 days for me (from June 4 - June 14). Vodafone says that they received the porting request on 9 June 2011. In that case, Airtel, might have submitted the porting request to Vodafone after 5 days of my submission of application. No Service Period is limited to 2 hours (and also should be in the night). However, I had been effectively in no service period since the night of 14 June 2011 for about 24 hours. These were clear violations of TRAI regulations

                                    2. Change of Plan without my consent (status – solved as of now)

                                    I got a message on[protected].saying that my plan has been changed for two months. This happened without my consent. I have contacted my customer care several times and they asked me to recharge again with Rs 27. I have recharged on[protected] with Rs.27 (Transaction ID –[protected] and still I did not get my original plan. I had to follow up various people like customer care, nodal officer, appellate authority etc., and for more than one week, to get it done.

I have given a complaint to the nodal officer on[protected]. However, as far as I understand, no action has been taken.

Instead of improving efficiency, they are using short cuts like blocking IVR so that no more complaints will be there from the number.

                                    5. Charging exorbitantly (status – pending)

                                    I have called to the number [protected] on[protected] and for 10 minutes and 28 sec, I was charged Rs.22 (i.e. Rs.2/min) instead of Rs. 6.28 as per my plan. Airtel customer care executive says, this is a service number. As far as I understand there is no concept of service numbers and non-service numbers. In fact, this is a universal access number (UAN) and all calls to this number will be charged at local call rates. This system is, in fact, for effective routing of the call, especially for business customers. Moreover, Airtel does not mention anything about call charges to the so-called ‘service numbers’ under the tariff section of its website. This way of charging is just an unhealthy business practice followed by Airtel, which is detrimental to the interests of consumers. It is noteworthy that other operators (I know at least about my previous operator) do not charge like this on the calls to UAN numbers. I am wondering now whether Airtel would charge calls to toll-free numbers as well (They start with ‘1800’ and as per the definition of Airtel, they can be the so-called service numbers)

                                    Nothing is better than nonsense. I am not aware of what the hell is your solution provided to me. You have been charging more even now at the same exorbitant rate. It clearly shows the hidden charging structure of Airtel.

                                      I have complained about the service for deactivation from 25 days, but there is no response from airtel, and customer care executive give reckless response. and more over every week rs40 is deducted from my account and rs5 is deducted for every 2days, till date 13'may 2011.
                                      I expect the deactivation of services and my credit back.

                                        I want to draw yours kind attention on . i am your prepaid customer form 2 year .i used my prepaid Sim as professionally.
                                        but form 2-3 day before this sim is permanently disable by airtel . on calling to customer care .this is declare that my address id is not prof.& some body tell that i am not recharging the minimum amt.of 6 month 200/-. ,some body tell i have more sims connection with my name & address. so this sim is to permanently disabled. but really i have all above ids are valid . and i am recharging & use of connection and aslo no other any connection (sim) .
                                        customer care of airtel is not responding & nearest airtel office person not given any regards to prepaid connection holder as per they are tell.
                                        please help in this metter .i am fully dissatisfied .
