I have been using Airtel prepaid service for the last 3 months. All of a sudden without any notification my SIM has been blocked. I have been told that this is because I haven't submitted my documents, which is contrary to the truth. I have submitted all the relevant documents and I've been using the service for the last three months.Even if Airtel couldn't locate my documents, they could have asked me to submit them in the Lucknow city office or at lease intimated me before removing from the network. Because of how suddenly things had happened, I haven't been able to take important calls or make calls for 2 or 3 days, which is a serious loss for me and my career. Airtel isn't replying to my complaint mails, while the system claims they would respond in 24 hours. The retail shop tells they can't put me back on the network, it's like my number has been permanently removed from the network, it is not a temporary move. Even the call centre personnel have no answer. None of the representatives are equipped to answer my queries and they won't let me talk to people above their level. Now, I had 400 odd rupees in my account, and Airtel won't reimburse or return that and added to it the huge inconvenience of intimating 500 odd people of the change in my number. This is not an one off incidence, Airtel's service to its prepaid customers is very disastrously bad. People who activated 3g services have lost hundreds of rupees due to Airtel's system problems, though Airtel would agree to it, they would never reimburse the money. People are being swindled by Airtel for the last couple of years.
Somebody has to do something about this. We have already started sensitizing people about things on our campus. If guided I'm ready to take this up anywhere.
