    Respected forum. here i want to highlight un professional approach of airtel towards itd customers..seems airtel has gone in a myth that he is the largest service provider in india and take them for an ride.
    My complain is that i got enrolled for airtel broadband on 16th july 2011..the executive gave an copy of the form (customer enrollment form) no. 2753899..and i was been told that the installation will happen by 20th...max..i also paid rs. 500 as advance payment via cheque.on the same day when i saw there was no communication from airtel. i gave call to the executive and then obly he said that there is technical problem and installation will happen in a day or two....now the fact remains is that i as an custoner was kept in dark regarding the progress of the installation....today again when i followed up with the exexutive he told me that there is technical problem and he cannit give me any commitment of the job completion...then when i called up airtel helpline on [protected] i got an ribotic answer that we have registred ur complain with complain no 1161726 and will het back to u...in the entire episode no one drom airtel posted me any progress...it was me who had to follow up by making multiple calls and wasting my money..secondly no one did apologise for this delay.
    Respected forum.. i wud like you to intervein in this and ask airtel when wud he stop majing customers run from pillar to post...pls pass on this complain to mr. sunil mittal so that he can know the realities in the field

    Same happended to us in Karnal, Haryana.
    New connection applied on 19th July but till today no connection...all wires fitted but no broadband started.
    Again same "technical error" scrapgoating.

    I should have gone with BSNL in first place...

      On 22-Jul-2011, I made an online payment through YesBank Net Banking of 2440/- for the purchase of Digital TV (South Value Sports pack ).the amount is deducted from my account but since then I have not received any confimation from your side which I expected badly. I also failed to talk to your customer care executives as the call never gets through or they disconnects in between. Now I am in a doubt, whether it was a wrong step by me to pay online rather than cash at shop.

      Really great response I got today. As I contacted Airtel DTH CC on Toll free number- [protected] and talked with Madam Renka, she promised me that by tonight their installation team will contact me. And I was surprised that within 02 hours they called me on mobile. And they asked me whether I want to install it today (29/08/09) itself. But as per appointment given previously while purchasing I requested to install on 31/08/09.
      I will update my next experience after it is done. Hope everything will be fine.

      Today is 01/09/09 and no one came to install the DTH which I purchased as per details given above. I am having a very bitter experience. The person from Jamnagar ( Mobile No- [protected]) who contacted me for the installation 02 days earlier now saying that his superior from Rajkot told him to not to install for me. When I contacted Rajkot (Mobile No- [protected]) he told me that he has not given any such instruction to Jamnagar. And this story is repeating since 31/08/09.
      Can you help me or atleast tell me whether Airtel DTH will ever get installed at my home so that I can have my peace of mind.

      Today is 02/09/09. No one came for installation. That Rajkot person now not attending my call.
      Talked to Customer Care Supervisor ( Rahul ). Given all the details. He told me that within 48 hours problem will be shorted out. I dont know when this 48 hours will finish.
      Should I move to Consumer Court now?
      The conection has been sccessfully installed at my home yesterday(05/09/09) at 1500 hrs.
      But the difficulty I faced was really painfull. You have got such a strong suport for your customers but the people involved for installation are so bad. Please do the needfull so that peple like me, who has got great faith on Airtel do not face such problem in future. Here I am giving you the details which may help you for the same.

      I had brought an airtel digital tv connection through online payment. the customer care told that all the installation procedure will
      be completed in 24hours. i had also received an email containing the activation number. now when i am enquiring about the product delivery the reply is
      that the installation will take 1 week. this is not fair, and am not entirely satisfied with it. if this was the case i would have taken it from my nearest dealer.
      actually i am in a very tensed state because i have paid the money and your telling indifferent things when you call the customer care. someone please respond to my query and help me from this ordeal. my order number during the online payment was :1834684. please give me a response regarding this issue...the plan i choose was the 1750 offer with economy pack with 200/month.please do whatever possible...

        Airtel is the biggest fraud company according to my point of view. i am being a airtel customer as 5 years, i am not satisfied with them services, if you have balance above 100 in your mobile, they will make instants call to your mobile(ex: callar tune, comedy msg ect..) and they will cut your money event if you dont select the any option. after 2, 3 days only we can find this money deduction, if you complaint to the customer care, they will tell like "you are only selected sir". finally they will create some problem and they will win in the argument with customers.

        i dint see any worst company like Airtel. People dont believe airtel company.
        i am praying the god to give the punishment to like these frauds.

        i am using 54 booster. its validity is 3 months.i have put it last month. now i like to put the 245 booster. is it possible
        100% true. Even we are facing the same kind of problems here.

          today ,23th jul 2011, Saturday at 8:27 am, i receieved a call from [protected]. It came to my knowledge that call is from pakistan. Although i missed the call, but i am concerned about how did the calling person got my number. I would appreciate it if you would look into this matter.
          Today I even receive the call from the same number...i found that the number is from pakistan and then i made a google search for the whole number and found your complaints...if you have any updates please share...

            Hi, this is Bidyut from Hooghly, W.B.

            I purchased Airtel Data Card (No. [protected]) on December 15, 2008 paying Rs. 3249/- (Rs. 2999 for the Data Card + Rs. 250 Security Deposit). They told me I will get a surfing speed of at least 100 kbps up-to 256 kbps.

            I opted for the Rs. 999 / month Unlimited Data Usage Plan with a Rs. 1500 Credit Limit.

            The service was somehow ok at the beginning - that means at least I was able to surf websites properly.

            Later around 2009 October - November the quality of the service started deteriorating and I was getting a surfing speed of 5-10 kbps only, for most of the time the connection speed was so slow that even the lightest websites such as Google will have hard time opening in Internet Explorer.

            I lodged complaints with their customer care and they promised me that the problem will be rectified within 48 hours or 96 hours etc. etc. This went for months. I lodged complaints almost every week but they never did anything measurable to solve the issues. Although I hoped for the best and continued with this kind of horrible service and paid my bills regularly up-to 2010 February.

            Then I told their pathetic customer care department to discontinue my service if they are unable to solve the problems. They gave me the number of their nodal officer and again I explained the problems to someone named Mr. Rajshekar on [protected]. I explained that although I am paying my bills month after month but most of the time I am unable to browse internet because of the poor service provided by them, so I wish to discontinue. He promised me that he will look into the matter to solve the problem as soon possible and I will get a rebate for the duration with this kind of problematic service, so I don’t need to discontinue the service.

            After a month or so, a technical person from Airtel came to my home and after verifying with his laptop, confirmed that they have some network problem in this locality etc. etc. He didn’t mention anything about solving the problem in near future.

            In the mean time I stopped paying the current month’s bill and when their billing department called me, I again explained the situation and told them to discontinue the service immediately or issue me a rebate after rectifying the problems to keep the connection alive.

            As my credit limit was Rs. 1500/- I was sure that my connection will be automatically disconnected if they don’t issue a rebate and I stop payment for a month’s bill which was around Rs. 1100 /- including the taxes.

            Instead of trying to provide me proper services and issuing a rebate to minimize my loss and sufferings, this pathetic losers increased my credit limits to Rs. 3300 /- without notifying me.

            Not only that, for the month of 2010 March to April, some ‘Value Added Services’ ‘Videos_Hungama Content’ and ‘Game_Hungama Content’ added to my account to charge an extra Rs. 266 /- I never opted for these services for sure. Obviously I was unwilling to pay these bills.

            Then after suspending my connection, someone from their billing or collection department called me and again hearing the whole matter from me, told me that a full rebate for the current dues will be issued and my connection will be restored shortly.

            Surprisingly, my data connection was back within next few days but with the same kind of problematic slow speed and inaccessibility to the internet for most of the time. I again lodged complaints with the customer care and few days later they again suspended my connection.

            Well, I then opted for the BSNL Broadband, and nowadays can’t imagine even a single day without it.

            Now after more than a year, Airtel has send me a notice asking me to appear before lok adalat court for amicable settlement of outstanding dues amounts to Rs. 4264.18/-

            What a pathetic losers they are.

            I am thinking of filing counter case against Airtel claiming damages for my financial losses and mental harassments caused by their pathetic service and customer care department. Should I move to my local civil court or how to move to the consumer court first?

            How should I move? Please advice.

              and i gave that to the service center in mathura address of the shop is holy gate arya samaj road there person took the box n gave after 4 days n kept making us fool for four dayz we kept going there bt he didint gave any satisfactory ans n wen he gave the box he changed our card n didn't told us my customer id is [protected] .airtel service center are not at all helpful for customer i m sori to say this

                I am facing a horrible problem with Airtel Digital TV connection in Hyderabad. Everyday 15-20 Topup SMS and plan change SMS are coming to my registered cell number where as I am not raising any one of them. If I call the customer care they note the complaint with their idiotic understanding of issues and very poor hindi speaking skills, it seems like I am talking to people who dont have any educational background. The same issue is getting repeated everyday and iriirating me like anything. The customer care department notifies me with detail of a phone number which I dont have any clue and informs me that the same number has registered top up requests thru IVR. Even if I call and deactivate the topup it gets registered the very next day.

                I am thinking of swithcing out from Airtel Digital TV to any other service provider and would suggest other people to do the same if my problem is not resolved. I feel surprised to see such poor quality people working for a brand like Airtel. It is really sad

                  I Tried 198 100 times I am unable to connect the customer care.

                  WHAT IS THE REASON I AM UNABLE TO CALL CUSTOMER CARE.

                  Now I have no way to tell my problem.That is why I am complainting here

                    I had a bought an Airtel Digital HD connection (Cust Id: [protected]) in June 2010. The Set top Box has started malfunctioning recently, the problem is the sound output vanishes often. I had registered a complaint and the technician visited today 22/7/2011 and said the set top has problems and needed to be changed. He replaced it with another old repaired set top box and said since the original box is out of warranty (one year period), I need to pay him Rs.1000 for the replacement. The warranty for the the replaced set would be 6 months and there is no guarantee that it will not conk-off after 6 months and I am expected to shell out 1000 bucks or may be more again. I therefore refused the replacement and the call has been closed from Airtel side.

                    It seems Airtel cannot repair the set top box, nor have any AMC.

                    This is blatant extortion deliberatly fabricated by Airtel as one does not have any other option (procuring something from the market).

                      Hello Sir,

                      This is regarding account number 16003196. I have a landline number
                      ([protected]) and a broadband connection ([protected]_kk) under this
                      account. The broadband account is under 'Freedom 1399' plan with 4
                      mbps speed up to Fair Usage Share of 25 GB and 256kbps unlimited after
                      that. In the past 11 months of having this connection, the limit has
                      never been exceeded. On 17/07/2011 morning I got an email and SMS
                      informing that I have crossed 80% of the fair usage share. But Airtel
                      was doing upgradation I couldn't check the details. On 20/07/2011 I
                      got an email and SMS saying that I have reached 100% of my usage and
                      that my speed will be reset to 256kbps till the next billing cycle. I
                      couldn't check the details due to the same upgradation issue.

                      But today (22/07/2011), I logged into the Airtel portal and checked my
                      unbilled usage and found it to be 11.91 GB from the beginning of this
                      month cycle (05/07/2011) to (21/07/2011). The screenshot of the same
                      is attached.

                      This proves that usage alerts sent to me were wrong and I request that
                      the connection speed be reset to 4 mbps immediately as the FUS has not
                      been crossed. I have been facing the trouble o[censored]sing a 256kbps
                      connection for the past 3 days though I paid for 4 mbps till 25 GB
                      which as per your records I have not crossed this month or crossed any
                      month. I have raised a complaint with id 114280. I request you to take
                      immediate action to restore my connection to 4 mbps speed and spare me
                      from the misery of 256kbps that I have been going through for the past
                      3 days.

                        I am from hydrebad. According to this offer when I insert my sim first in mobile this offer i should get avail but this is not the case. I tried doing it again and again but I am not getting any Mobile Office Offer. Also, compalint to 198 - 3 calls, 1 drop by executive, 2nd listen to query and put hold and no repsonse. 3rd said its active and didnt unerstood problem and i am speaking and he kept the phone down. This was just a very careless response I got from Customer Care. First they dont even know about this offer they say and this offer is there as you can check above Airtel website.and thay provide me a complain register number is cbnra[protected] but for name sake they given ...still problem is not resolved

                        I really need to get this offer as I think I should get it and I am a net user and with a mobile of N8 i guess internet seem to be a necessity. Now kindly please response to my query and tell me what could be possible solution. What tell me I feel my problem is genuine and better this offer get activated by Airtel on my no [protected]

When I reached home after paying the driver I realized that I’ve lost my mobile and tried to ring that number with another mobile, but after ringing for a few seconds the mobile stopped ringing (Somebody had switched off that mobile). My suspicion is on the Auto Rickshaw driver (He is from the Downtown Auto Stand) and I and my daughter can identify him by his face and appearance.

                          Now I request you to kindly deactivate my SIM momentarily as I file an FIR to the Dispur Police Station and submit a copy to your company for a duplicate SIM.

                            I have been a cursed subscriber of Airtel Broadband for the last 1 year. I took this connection in my mother's name Vaasanthi Devi in the year 2010 and the services have been working intermittently. The only thing consistent about this is their billing system. No matter whatever happens, they bill you... irrespective of their landline or broadband works. I work or browse when the line is up and idle most of the times. I have taken a Reliance broadband wireless backup connection and that works seamlessly.

                            The excuses given by the Airtel chaps are weird and blame on the local municipality who dig up the roads. I am not sure why they provide a service if they cant guarantee or have a solid restoration plan is in place. Worst is if I request for a discount on the bill for services not working for nearly a month, I dont get any call backs.

                            Their customer service number is not reachable from any other line except from the landline where the fault is and thats down. I am having issues reaching them to have my connection surrendered.

                            Its alarming & very sad to see Airtel behaving in such a bad way. I received a call from one of the individual from +[protected] who named herself Nazira. God forbid her language... I couldnt understand anything she spoke but could understand that she was tying to give me discounts. The more I disagreed & wanted to have the line surrendered, the more discount I got. For what? For a dead telephone and broadband connection we were discussing rentals that needs to be paid. I am not sure what they think I am.

                            Dear Airtel,

                            Please discontinue my services & as the line has not been working for more than a month, you have to waive of the bill without which I would raise the matter accordingly. I work for an English Telecom company & can show you evidence that the DSL line has not been working for more than a month. I have also recommended all my friends to switch over from Airtel in Chennai region to blistering speed wireless broadband services from Reliance to name a few.

                            Whats so frustrating is that I am bombarded with messages asking to pay my bill... How sad.

                            The request for surrendering the broadband and landline was opened on July 21st and the same is still open. I have been told that I wished to retain the line which is absolutely false. Everytime I call up once in five days to check when the kit would be removed and taken back, I am told that there is some kind of negotiation.

                            Also my request to be forwarded to the team manager is always discarded as they say the managers are always busy. So frustrating to have Airtel services.

                            I am going to topup my BSNL line to a high speed broadband connection. Wish this connection is disconnected at the earliest. Surprised to see very very low professional behaviour from Airtel customer services.

                            Surprise call from Airtel after about more than 2 months. They are calling from Legal apartment & claim 980 rupees as charges that I need to pay for the line thats been dead since June. They did not mention anything about the waiver they have given me but just call with another senior person speaking to me claiming they are from legal department.

                            Dear Airtel, Could you please stop all these stuffs & close my account. I should infact file for service credits which I am not doing as 1) I dont have energy to run around inheriting the basic qualities for a common employed man 2) I dont want to have any relationship with Airtel at all in the future. I have got aged parents at home & if you guys are going to disturb them, I am afraid I will need to raise a complaint.

                            Why are you not responding to any of these points I have raised.

                            My name is Vinoth Kumar & emailing this for telephone line[protected] which was surrendered in July 2011 after 1 year of awful service experience. The line is in my mother's name S Vaasanthi Devi.

                            I have raised multiple service requests and also escalated to nodal officer but have only got standard template emails and small waivers. I wanted resolution of the fault and not 200 to 300 rupees discount. I am a home based worker, working as a 3rd line team head in a UK service provider company and because my broadband services went dead for more than 1 month continuous period, I had to travel to office 60 kms up and down churning out fuel bills for about 500 rupees every day.

                            I painfully waited without any resolution on the following requests raised but not handled professionally at all.

                            47927836 was closed after the line started working on 27th but just for one day.

                            1428336 which was raised for surrendering line was closed saying resolution which was not the case.

                            They would just close off cases without intimation or when the line works for an hour or 2. I am fed up with this quality of service which I am experiencing in Chennai. I have a broadband service for close to 8 years in Bangalore[protected] which has been working without any issues. I have surrendered the same yesterday (19th October) as Airtel has surprised me with a letter warning of legal action for 980 rupees only. I wasted close to 15k on my fuel bills and inflicted so much stress on myself and your legal team on call is addressing me as if they were handling a petty criminal. My view of Airtel has completely changed and would only9500 voice these to my fellow family and colleagues who are all Airtel subscribers.


                            I expect you to settle and nullify the bill as I should have put a request for service credits for broadband not working for more than 45 days and not the other way.

                              i had purchased airtel prepaid sim card of sim number[protected]H-2 and mobile number [protected] on 11th june 2011 i had given my id proof and photo sim activated on but when after 20 days i called the customer care on 198 to verify my details they told me that the simcard is not on my name, and they told me to ask the sim dealer,i asked dealer about that he told me there is a chance of mistake with distributor or something, than i went to the nearest airtel office and resubmitted my documents but i still dont know where my photo and id proof went and also i want to know if anyone is illegally using simcard on my id should be blocked immediately.

                                My Airtel DTH customer No. is [protected]. The problem started when Airtel engineer shifted my antenna for SAT2 reception. The antenna got demounted due to winds. We have advice them not to mount antenna their because we known it was not a right place. They just carelessly mounted antenna and went away. Within 2 days it got demounted due to winds.
                                I have logged compliant with customer care on 12-july-2011 for it. No engineer visited on site for 4 days. I my self mounted it and after 4 days engineer ([protected]) visited. He just made correction to antenna setting and with out solving my problem went away.

                                When I ask for shifting of antenna to correct place he replied that, he don’t have necessary equipment to do it. (He was not carrying even a screw with him).
                                Since then I have continuously taking follow up with customer care and also speak to escalation. My problem remains as it is. I am totally depends on winds.

                                I m fed up with taking a follow up with customer care. They only create a complaint no. and give you bogus assurance. And at end of day a sms saying “your complaint has been resoled, if the issue is unresolved please call [protected](an always unreachable and unanswered number)

                                If any one their to help me out of this hell.

                                The problem still persists. I just called customer care for update, they informed me that the complaint has been closed (without solving problem). This is happing with me since 12-july-2011. I don’t remember how many complaint I had logged.

                                Yesterday I had get call from Airtel saying my problem will be solved by today. This migration of antenna cause me headache.

                                  Even I am facing the same problem. I have not subscribed to any videos but they are charging daily Rs 5 from my account. When speaking with customer care executives several times they said you are not subscribed to any such. But daily I am receiving messages of deduction for the same.

                                  Message says like: You have been renewed for subscription VideosParlou subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs.5.

                                    i am having airtel dish TV and it was running very good.but on date 21/07/2011 airtel dish TV engineer was came at 11:00 am at my home and they was telling that we have to change the direction of your dish tv as setelite signal was change to other direction.so i was says that ok. but after 2 hr engineer can not able to set the signal thats why i tell him that please restored the privious setting so i can watch my faviourite TV program.engineer works a lots but they will not able to restored my previous setting.so that all progaram on TV i miss due to airtel dish TV. and engineer says that call to custmer care .

                                    so that i compain to custmer care but he will says that it will be repaired on date 26/07/2011.as problem is not from my side because dish TV is running previously very good with out any interpution.
                                    it is very known thing that if problem is happen due to mistake of engineer not from my side so problem should be resolved with in this day .and also custmer care excuitive says that for reloacation of dish i have to pay 200 Rs as problem is created by airtel dish tv why i should pay and waste my valvuble 5 day due to mistake of airtel dish tv.

                                    i am taking leave in this period for watching TV and this is the mental herssment by dish tv .this problem shoud be solved whitin that day only .

                                    This has reference to my unattended complaint no.10084306 dt. 16.07.2011, No. 10238996 dated 21.07.2011 and online grivance dated 18th and 21st.

                                    the first complaint was closed, as I was informned by your tele informer today without taking care of the matter.
                                    the online grivance was not attended for reasons best known to you.
                                    the third complaint was registered in the evening and I was told that the concerned engineer would follow up and call me within one hour. There was no contact, whatso ever.

                                    this shows utter negligence and carelessness toward the customer in the present age of competition. this also reflects the company's attitude in providing after sale service.

                                    Now I have two options: 1. either you settle the complaint within 24 hours
                                    2. or i shall opt for another service besides Airltel dth

                                    In case of the second option, I want to know the procedure thorugh which I can get back the cost of initial investment (Rs. 1750/-) as it was due to your ill treatment that I am forced to opt out. and get my refund of the remaining amount of rs. 1273.58/- outstanding amount as on date. Well in case I dont get a befitting reply, I will have no other option but to call for legal help in this matter, as it has already put a lot of mental pressure on me.

                                    i have already gathered all documents for the purpose. and the tele calls can also be retrieved, I suppose once I get into the legal procedure.
