Greetings!

I am using Airtel no. [protected] from west Bengal circle. I have been charging unknowingly RS. 5/- automatically for two three days from airtel application club. I called the customer care service and they are receiving properly and guiding. Half of the talk they cut the call and I tried many time. Pls do the needful to deactivate this service. I am losing money everyday unnecessarily.

Thanks for your reply but already three days passed, till now they are cutting the balance, in the mean time I got some balance credited in my account but since they are cutting continually those credited amount Rs. 18/- again deducted by the application club. now my balance is RS.1.67 paise...

I fear to recharge/topup now. what can do? Shall I continue using Airtel or choose other network by MNP... Money is not the matter, but the headache, anger and tension is the problem.

Kindly solve it soon... pls.

    my name is Sivaramakrishnan.V. residing at tiruchirapalli. I had one post paid cell connection from bharati airtel ltd., the number is [protected]. I surrender the sim card and clear all the outstanding amount as on[protected] at their AERO CONNECT- Airtel Relationship Centre situated at 17, Royal Road, Cantonment Trichy-1 vide receipt number 55373. I use this connection since 2003. I made a deposit of Rs. 500/-

    Till this date every month the company sent bill to pay usage charges. I have already surrender my sim card. They didn't refund the deposit.

      I’m Atul Gupta, resident of C-371B Sushant Lok Phase – 1 , Gurgaon, Haryana. I bought a new airtel sim with lifetime validity yesterday from a shopkeeper at Vyapar Kendra in Sushant Lok Phase – 1. His shop number is GF – 78.
      He charged me Rs. 100 for a Rs. 25 sim and another Rs. 100 for a Rs. 100 recharge. I asked for a bill for this, but he refused to give it. Similar is the case with most of the shopkeepers in the same market. They are practicing black marketing of mobile sim cards. When I told that shopkeeper that I will lodge a complaint against him, he replied that go wherever you want to go. Such is the condition for customers.

      Kindly, look into the matter as these kind of things are creating lot of troubles to the customers and left us with no other option.

        Aitel giving us the services of IP TV, Borad band service and Land line (under one single bill). We have paid their last bill as demanded by the Air tel and my e-Receipt no.[protected] dated 10/07/2011depostied on 10/07/2011 at 12.42 p.m. throug Manoj Communication-Rohini for the Bill period 05/06/11 to 04/07/11 (Rs.1550/-) and previous 05/05/11 to 04/06/11 (Rs.1367/-). But even after the above payment they continuesly called on our land line and we get the recorded statement which state that the bill is pending for the above period. I called up their customer help desks on 14th July,2011 and he confirmed that they received all the payment and nothing is pending and asked me to ignore the recorded land line calls. But, today again we got a call from their land line number 91 [protected] and they again said that amount is still pending. I herewith request to investigate the case and an immediate appology from their concerned officer. Otherwise I have not option but to approach the appropriate foroum.

        Looking forward for your intervention and resolution on the above.

          I ordered airtel dth for my home by paying Rs.2440 as subscription fee through Airtel IVR system. Transaction ID for the purchase is 16101172. I made the payment through IVR on 16-Jul-2011 - Saturday and the customer representative committed saying that the installation will be done on the same day or the next day 17-Jul-2011 - Sunday before i made the payment through IVR. Once i made the payment, their total attitude towards the customer has changed in really a bad way. Airtel Technician didnt turn up that day (Saturaday). When i called Airtel Sales department on Sunday, they made me wait for half an hour in phone that too not connecting back again. I had to hang up the phone since no one turned up. This happened all the three times when i called the customer service. Finally frustrated when i called the fourth time, i told the representative to cancel the order since i am not getting proper response and all false commitment are given only to get the money from the customer. They are seeing customer as only money making machine and they are not ready to provide quality service for the money they get. Finally the representative told since it is sunday they cant send the technician as everyone are on holiday. Agreed. But he also told that they will come Monday by 9 AM. It is 12 PM today when i am writing this , I have already called Airtel Sales Department 2 times, everytime they get the Customer Name and Transaction id and they will tell the Technician will call in another 15 minutes but only to wait becoming a fool. I am totally annoyed the way the representative speaks with some attitude as if he will provide the service only if he feels like doing it and treating the customer like stray dog. What kind of attitude is this??? Unbelievable!!! Telecom giant like Airtel allowing its representative to treat customers like this.

          I have already developed disrepute towards Airtel before i have started using it . I will be happy if they will cancel my order. I even tried doing it and asked information for it from the representative and i didnt get any proper response. This attitude of the representative is totally condemned and Airtel should take immediate actions on its representative from such action. I can remember one such representative name - Rajesh. I am writing this spending my time just to educate people and let know the concerned person that
          'Be diligent towards Customer Needs'.

          Hope this will draw from positive response with a belief that Customers are always valued!

          Thanks Rakesh for your prompt reply. But i dont have any issues now because i have switched to another DTH provider who gave the connection within 2 hours of booking. That too they charged money only after finished their work.

          I hope you will convey to your reprensentative to be more diligent towards the customer.

            I am using a airtel mobile connection and my mobile number is [protected] and i am able so send messages.They are not getting delivered to the other person and i am also not receiving the messages on time getting messages after 2 days or so.

            My number is [protected], its been 6 months i am not being able to send sms from my mobile phone i have contacted your call centre guys but the services they are providing is very pathetic. Every time i call them they say i need to change some number in my message settings. I am a blackberry user and facing big issue in recharging my phone without sms service.

              I have also experience the same thing . I also do not know any body and get missed calls ISD from unknown number.

              Also, the mobile rings for one or two time only. When I take my mobile from my pocket to attend but in that short span time ringing stops and we have got a missed call.

              And, it is some strange ISD number : +[protected]

              We really need to raise this issue and bring to public notice so that action can be taken.

              I request other users to share their experience on the same and help to rectify this problem

              I would like to bring you in notice that not only a few customers but a couple of people are facing the same issue in regards to the missed calls received from the contact number: [protected]. I got a missed call from this number on 16th July 2011, When called back on this number got a recorded voice stating "you have won a mobile phone, in return to the continue recharge of your phone, you will soon receive the phone on your address, you are kindly requested to note down a 25 digit code for authorization of the gift(mobile phone)" after putting the call on hold for around 10 minutes 58 second, the call was disconnected from my side as i was not getting any response.

              You are kindly requested to investigate this case on priority basis.

                  I had purchased "Airtel Digital TV with HD" online from Airtel website on 8th Jul'11.
                  Customer ID given to me is [protected].
                  More than One week is gone by and No setup box is delivered yet. No technician has turned up for installation. There is absolutly no action from Airtel.

                  Every time I call your customer care, I get a different answer. See the responses below::-

                  "You 'll SURELY get your connection on 12th Jul 2011 before 9 a.m."
                  (((Nobody turned up)))

                  "Please don't do anything except to have patience. We are forwarding you complaint to concerned department through mail."
                  (((My mail id is not kept in loop. I am not even sure if any such mail was shot))))

                  "You 'll SURELY get your connection on 15th Jul 2011 before 9 a.m. Please take technicians mobile-number to further co-ordinate."
                  (((On dialling given number, it says - "Idea service to this number has been Revoked". ))))

                  "Your booking was done on 13th July 2011"
                  (((Better Check the date of online transaction))))

                  "The number you have called i.e. Airtel digital TV Customer Care does not handle such complaints. Please contact us through mail."
                  (((If so, then why this is not been said each time we call Airtel digital TV Customer Care. Sometimes you give information, other times you dont)))))
                  Every time i called up Customer care executive gives a new time of installation but nothing happens.


                  I had great expectations from Airtel but i am sorry to say that if my grievance is not handled on priority, then I will have to move to consumer court.

                  I look forward to a speedy action on my complaint.

                    i and my fiance have been receiving unwanted sms for last 3 months inspite of NDND activated in 2007 and updated 4 months back. am receiving sms from

                    TM
                    DM
                    LM

                    and unknown numbers like

                    [protected] ( msg is about winning1 crore pound in icc world cup)
                    [protected] (sms about shopping festival)
                    there are more such unknown numbers which sms about discounts in property and flats and more.

                    i complained in april and they asked me to update my NDND, but stil i recieved sms .than on 30th June they gave me a complaint nos asking for 15 days to resolve problem

                    Now after 15 days they give me a new complaint number saying that old data base is not available due to technical problem and will now take 20 days to resolve problem, new complaint number - CDRGP[protected]

                    how do these companies get the mobile number in first place, until and unless they are selling it to them?? all my friends who have airtel number are facing the same problem, we recieve sms at 4pm,-5pm in the mrg 12pm-1am at night

                      I have a Prepaid mobile connectin of AIRTEL (RAJASTHAN CIRCLE) bearing number [protected]. On 13.07.2011, I had surfed internet only for 12 seconds. As per log of my phone the data sent in last session was 5837 Bytes and Data received in last session was 15607 Bytes, Total 21444 Bytes means 20.94 KB (21444/1024) for which it should be charged Rs.0.60 @ 30 paise for every 20 KB. I got surprise when a reply message received that you had been Charges more than Rs.48.00. Usually it has been charging @ 30 paise per 20 KB. I checked my balance and found that more than Rs.48/- was reduced from my account. In past too, i have charged very high side.

                      Should the Biggest telecom player like AIRTEL use such practices which result in loss to their customer?

                        My customer ID is :[protected]. I want to file a case on Airtel DTH .I have purchased Airtel DTH through internet-banking on airtel official website (www.airtel.in) on 8th july 2011. The company offer was (Payment 1590 Rs with 3 months free subscription with 250 Rs cashback). Therefore i made payment of Rs 1590. After payment the offer is (Payment 1640 Rs with 2 months subscription with 200 cashback). The company forcely deducts 50 Rs from 250 cashback and also reduces one month for free subscription.Please resolve my problme

                        Not only Airtel DTH TV says that they can change prices as and when they want without notifying the consumer, they also change the list of channels available in a package. Recently they removed Star Cricket, Star Sports, ESPN from the Economy package and introduced a new package called Economy Sports.

                        This was all stealthily done! without notifying the subscriber. Feeling a strong disgust for their such looting practices. How may i file this complaint in a consumer court?

                        Dont buy Airtel DTH. Their terms and conditions are deceiving and designed to loot you. I havent had experiences with other DTH providers. but this makes a strong case for consumer court.

                          I have not requested such type of service from airtel. I checked my balance is deducted Rs 5 every day.

                          I have already informed it to 121 for deactivating GPRS services from my mobile no.

THAT MEANS RS. 6000/- CONSUMED IN 10 DAYS.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ASK ME TO RECHARGE MY ACCOUNT.

                              I BOUGHT THOSE CONNECTIONS ON 01.01.2010.................. MY FIRST AND WORST MISTAKE OF 2010.PLEASE HELP ME .......... BECAUSE IM NOW TIRED OF CALLING THEIR PATHETIC, IRRESPONSIBLE, DUMB AND HIGHLY INEFFICIENT CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE.

                              FRIENDS..... PLS THINK, NOT ONLY TWICE BUT AS MANY TIMES YOU CAN ...... AND NEVER BUY AIRTEL DIGITAL TV.

                              I'M USING TATA SKY ALSO FROM LAST ONE YEAR ......THEIR QUALITY, TROUBLE FREE SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN AIRTEL.

                                Respected Sir/Madam,

                                With due respect, I am writing this application to request investigation of the issue and take appropriate action.

                                I am a very old customer of Airtel with phone number [protected]. I activated internet on my phone number [protected]. I got this plan activated @INR: 249.00 (with unlimited usage)

                                Since I got a broadband connection at my home and vodafone internet was also available on my cellphone, I enquired for a lower rate plan. I was advised for a INR : 199.00 per month internet plan.

                                In the month of January I got a bill above INR 9000.00 but I did not get time to call Airtel.

                                Next month the bill was more than INR 6000.00 + previous bill. When I called Airtel, they told me its my usage and all the usage and high bill is due to internet.

                                I was not convinced so I called multiple times and talked to many people, but later I realized that I was wasting my time by calling them. No one from Airtel bothered to investigate and in the month of may my services were disconnected and the bill amount reached more than INR: 22000.00.

                                Now collection people are calling me @ office hrs and they are also sending Goons at my home. The situation has become very frustrating for me. Airtel people (Customer Care) don't help and the people who are threatening me use abusive language. When I ask for their Identity most of the times they disconnect the phone.


                                I am not sure whether this will be resolved here or not but still I request you to please look into the matter and if possible please solve.

                                I can not pay INR 9000.00 per month for internet usage on mobile (Please note that I had INR 249.00 unlimited plan before) which gives me only
                                4-5 kbps of download speed.

                                  My Airtel dth HD hangs every now and then. so i lodged a complain in the customer care. After a lot of hue and cry, they finally responded that the "stb" needs to be replaced since the software is not responding properly.

                                  The issue is that they are replacing my stb with some old stb which i cannot guess would survive for how long , since my stb is in the warranty period so i think they are supposed to replace it with a new stb.

                                  Kindly clarify it giving logical reasons. Also my warranty expires next month so if there is an error like the same after two months what should i do??

                                  clearly the software not functioning is a technical problem where i m not responsible at all

                                    I BOUGHT AIRTEL TV BEFORE 8 MONTHS . IN FIRST PLACE , IT DOES NOT GET SIGNALS WHEN IT RAINS. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE SIGNAL IS WEAK DURING RAINS. BUT NOW I AM GETTING AUDIO OUT PUT . WHEN I CALL UP THE CUSTOMER CARE . THEY SAID THEY WILL BE SENDING A ENGINEER FOR WHOM I SHOULD PAY 100 RS.

                                    WHEN I AM NOT GETTING THE CHANNELS, ITS ME WHO IS LOOSING, WHEN MY TV IS WORKING PROPERLY , WHY SHOULD I PAY THE MONEY TO ENGINEER. ITS THE SETUP BOX WHICH IS CREATING PROBLEM WHICH BELONGS TO AIRTEL

                                    ITS THE COMPANY WHICH SHOULD TAKE CARE OF SERVICE ISSUES, THE COMPANY SHOULD PAY THEIR ENGINEERS NOT CUSTOMERS.

                                    WHEN WE PAY THE MONEY IN ADVANCE TO VIEW THE CHANNELS, WHY CANT COMPANY LOOK IN TO SERVICE ISSUES. ? WHY ?

                                    I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO BUY AIRTEL OUR CABELWALA IS BETTER . ITS NOT ABOUT 100 RS ITS ABOUT SERVICE.

                                      I have given a complaint to Airtel Digital TV saying that i'm not able to hear sound. They took the complaint and immediately replaced the Set top box and told me that it will be activated in 48 hours. I was very happy with the customer service. Later it still is a big disppointment. It's been 15 days and i am not able to view any channels. It's been 15 days I gave a complaint to customer care by calling 12150.
                                      Everyday i raised the complaint and here are the complaint numbers.

                                      Everyday i raise a request and by evening i get a message saying issue is resolved. Where as it is not resolved. Airtel charges it's customers on a daily prorata basis. I had a balance of Rs 179.45 15 days back. For the past 15 days they have been deducting my balance inspite of my set top box not working and I am not able to see any channels. My current balance is Rs 88 only.
                                      Please help me in this regard.

                                      Airtel digital TV customer service is the worst service I have ever had a conversation with, The e recharge is not working the customer help lines are getting disconnected.The Hindi, English lines are not correct.

                                      I got the Airtel free with my SONY TV, wish I had got some other service provider

                                      The existing plan was Sports economy, and I wanted some additional regional channels, where as I am now charged for some sports channel I already have and the account has been deactivated with negative balance of -99.99 Rs

                                      When I called up the customer care service they were not only able to solve this issue but They are the only customer care that does not provide any Interaction number for the conversation

                                      It was a Pathetic experience.

                                      I would like to mention that the issue is resolved and my connection is now active.

                                      However, an amount of Rs. 99/- is deducted from my account on a daily prorata basis from 30th of July to 17h July. Let me know when this amount would be refunded by adding it to my Airtel account back.

But I have changed my number and my new mobile number is [protected] and I have recharged Rs.400/- from a dealer. But, so far, this amount is not updated and not recharged. So, I am not able to see the tv programmes. Please help me to come out of the above problem and don't hesitate to contact my new mobile no please.

                                        In my cellphone with airtel number [protected], I was having balance of around Rs200/ before May 24th, I went abroad for 5 weeks, after I came back, all this money balance became zero, on 30th June, I had recharged with Rs. 222/( transaction Id is[protected] and Rs 55/ (voucher no. is [protected]) and also I had got message of confirmation of recharge in my cell phone, balance shown Rs. 267, but calls were not processing and balance became zero again on next day without any reason. on 1st July, After I checked with local airtel, they said, the sim validity was over, then I increased validity with Rs. 27/ and recharged again with Rs 222(transaction id is[protected]. On same day 1st July, contacted airtel 121 customer care supervisor and enquired how come previous balance gone and how come the recharge was accepted if the sim is not in validity. What if I recharge Rs 1000/ also, is it same thing will happen?, the customer care supervisor, she accepted the problem and launched complaint with CBNRA[protected] and promised will be resolved by around 5th July. But nothing happend. Waited and I contacted them again on today 16th July, the airtel customer care, now they are saying totally different, one time customer care representative saying as the recharged amount was used and another time the customer care floor supervisor saying as nothing was rechanged on 30th June, even after I gave the transaction id information.
                                        Here again my questions are,
                                        1. I did the sim to lifetime validity with Rs. 999/ in around 2005, what happend to this lifetime validity?
                                        2. How can Airtel deduct or null the balance without any actual calls made?
                                        3. How the Airtel accepting recharge transaction, if the sim is not in validity period, and cannot be used to make any calls, even to 121 customer care to ask why? (I have still in my inbox a proof of trasaction successfull message)
                                        4. How Airtel customer care representatives and floor supervisors giving different reasons for the money lost and not exactly telling to resolve the issue..? some times, after long conversation with customer care, the phone line gets disconnected suddenly, why?.
                                        If 121 customer care cannot figureout the problem, who else can resolve the problem and explain what exactly happend..?

                                        Airtel Mobile Phone — My Cell Phone No 9818405692 - Stop all deduction on any value added service to this phone with immediate effect.

                                        My Cell Phone No [protected], is pre-paid life time connection. It appears , daily some Rs 2 is getting deducted. I have spoken to customer cell several times and as per their guidence , I have sent SMS also. Some times , they say - it will be done in 96 hrs and some time they say - it will done in 30 days. I do not understand , why this service is so poor. Pl restore my connection without any deduction. I do not wish to subscribe to your any other value added service or so.

                                        Airtel — Sudden Disconnection of Phone for no valid reason

                                        I have a airtel connection for the last 11 years, now 4 days back it suddenly got disconnected.
                                        I approached the Airtel Centre, they said change the SIM card, and it will work in 4 hours.
                                        Next day they tell me that as their new software does not have my name reflecting on it, so I have give my proof of residence and ID again, after 11 years !

                                        Worst, NO call or SMS was received by me for the want of papers, simply disconnected my connection.

                                        Now they say it may take upto 10 days for reconnection, is it fair to JUST disconnect and not even inform or ask for details which have been given at the time of taking a connection.

                                        Were they sleeping for 11 years, where did TRAI security norms go, and if they wanted papers, they should have asked for them.

                                        NOW my phone is DEAD, with NO hearing, nodal office, Harshi says she will call back, but does not do so, weekend it is off, so I am lost in this big telecom jungle.

                                        Airtel Mobile Phone — Airtel's cheap tactics to retain customers by rejecting port-out request without any reason

                                        I've applied to port out my 2 postpaid mobile connections with Airtel to Vodafone on August 4’11 (Porting ID: AD139822 and AD166862). After 7 days of standard waiting period when I contacted Airtel, they told me that I agreed to retain with Airtel, which I never did. Since then, I called Airtel complaint no. 198 almost on daily basis to know the status and filed various complaints (No. F[protected], 38835362, 39022110, 39030512 and[protected] to port-out both of my mobile nos. to Vodafone. Every time I call Airtel I was told different story each time. And Airtel was not able to provide me any of the recorded conversation to cover up their white lies or my consent to retain with Airtel.
                                        On August 19’11 even my Unique Porting code expired and also I got the message from Vodafone that my porting request has been rejected by Airtel. And Airtel executive was unable to explain the reason of rejection after contacting because I've already paid more than the bill due on me and the balance is in negative more than Rs.100 on both of my nos. Basically they don't have any reason to reject my port-out request and still they are harassing me for no reason.
                                        I got terribly harassed without any fault of me and because of Airtel's callous attitude towards its customers. I doubt this cheap tactics of Airtel will do any good to Airtel's business. And maybe that's the reason why Airtel is nowhere near the top in the recent 'Hindustan Times-MaRS Mobile Operator Survey' (http://goo.gl/dpK73) and Vodafone despite being the late entrant grabbed the top rank across all the categories in all the states.
                                        I hope Airtel start giving importance to the service they provide rather than harassing and playing cheap tricks to retain customers like me who are using Airtel from the past more than 10 years.
                                        I want to know why Airtel is stopping Vodafone to Port in my number into their database, despite being paid more than the amount due on me. And want them to release both of my nos. to Vodafone immediately without any further delay and without giving vague excuses/reasons.

                                        Airtel Mobile Phone — Not received Refund for 8 months

                                        I had given an application at the Airtel Store on May 20, 2011, to refund the security deposit against my number for International Roaming. This amount was deposited to Airtel in 2004 when I first visited overseas. The amount is Rs 6000/-

                                        It has been 8 months since then, today being December 14, 2011. Every month I get a call from Airtel executive stating that I will get the stated amount in the next 30-35 days. At the end of the mentioned time period, I get another call from another executive stating that there was an address problem and the cheque has been returned. THE SAME HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH ME FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS WHEREAS I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE OTHER COMMUNICATION FROM AIRTEL ON THE SAME ADDRESS (MY RESIDENCE ADDRESS)

                                        ALSO, each time the executive calls and tells me that I amount is X, Y, Z. Each time a different amount is quoted, I spend close to 45 minutes each time explaining the whole issue and then they promise that I will get the complete Rs 6000/- within the next 30-35 days and the story continues.

                                        No Supervisor is willing to talk on this issue and when I ask the executives to transfer my call to a Supervisor, either none is available or I end up being asked to wait endlessly.

                                        I am deeply frustrated with this service from AIRTEL. For collection of funds they would send an executive within half a day however a refund of MY MONEY, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY PAID, WHICH IS TO BE REFUNDED, IT HAS BEEN 8 MONTHS AND I STILL DO NOT SEE A RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE.
