This is in reference to the complaint I have posed on this same site on May 20, 2011. My previous number with Airtel Broadband services was[protected] which is now changed to another number. I have deposited money against that number, Rs 680/- and Rs 251/- in lieu to get connection shifted, but I was never issued any bill regarding that or explained to me why this money had been charged. Now, when I am asking for it, nobody is even responding till this date. I have written numerous mails to Nodal Officer and Appellate Officer regarding that also, but nothing more than auto-reply came back to me. I have described them whole case in a very detailed manner, but nothing so far could be done. I have also sent mail to "airtelpresence" but they came up with funny answer that my connection was duly shifted and was working since May 20, 2011, whereas connection just got started since June 01, 2011 at around evening time.
There are some more incidents related to this, first of all, Airtel executives doesn't even know whether the case is for shifting or migration. They migrated somebody else's number first to my home, then also told me that your voice line was already active, we are giving to additional broadband facility, etc. I was just wondering what all is happening. Then, I took test of my patience to explain everything again to that fellow and he said, he will look into this matter, but as a matter of fact, my broadband has been started, but I still don't know which plan it is running, what is the date from where it would be billed, what is status of money I deposited till now, etc.
I just want to ask Airtel Authorities that why don't you answer somebody's query in a proper manner, why you people are not known of somebody's connection details if you are entitled to resolve queries on behalf of Airtel, or at least one should turn up to say to at least give a timeframe for the matter to be resolved.
I have got so many reference numbers, but none of them were resolved on time. And the worst part is No Apologizes, No Calls, No Reply to Mail, Just Nothing from Airtel which has come to me yet. I have taken a decision to file a court in consumer court and soon I will update on this itself what best I could get from them in the coming days.
I WANT TO TELL EVERYONE JUST BEWARE BEFORE TAKING ANY KIND OF SERVICES FROM AIRTEL WHETHER IT BE BROADBAND, DTH OR MOBILE SERVICES BECAUSE I AM HAVING ALL OF THEM, AND TRUST ME, YOU WILL ONLY REGRET WHY YOU ARE HAVING THEM. TO GET RID OF AIRTEL, I AM TAKING TATA SKY FOR DTH, MNP TO VODAFONE FOR MOBILE AND FOR BROADBAND I WILL BE FILING A CASE AND HAS ALREADY GOTTEN TATA PHOTON AND RELIANCE BROADBAND AT MY HOME. I HAVE NOT EVEN SURFED A SINGLE PAGE TILL DATE.
I HOPE THIS TIME I AM LOUD ENOUGH TO BE HEARD AT AIRTEL HEADQUARTERS OR IN THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENT.

Airtel Broadband — Billing and Disconnection Problem
I have an Airtel Broadband connection phone number [protected] (Account no[protected]. I am using Airtel Broadband for more than an year now but facing lot of problem for last few months.It all started when I bought Blackberry and opted for blackberry services through Airtel and I requested for Airtel Broadband disconnection however they suggested a plan of 250 Rs and I took it but after a few months I realized that it was costing me more then my earlier plan so I again requested for disconnection, Again they said that we will give you a 450 plan with 20% waiver for 6 months with no charges in first month. I liked the plan and opted for it.
But to my surprise I got a bill which had no discount no waiver and addition of Airtel PC secure so I did not made the payment I also called customer care and told them however my net was disabled but I continued receiving bills. October end I got a call from Mr. Sahil and he asked me to make a payment of Rs 1564 outstanding bill and I told him that I will not be making any payment as I was not using the net for last 2 months but he said that he will deduct all the charges (waiver, discount and Airtel PC secure) and asked me to make a payment of Rs700 as final settlement.
I did not want to be involved much so I made the payment but lately I have started receiving calls for payment of outstanding bill so daily I got 2-3 calls and every time I had to narrate the whole story. What am I supposed to do? It’s been almost a month since I have asked them for disconnection however they are not disconnecting the broadband and the bill is keep coming. They also told me that they will not disconnect the connection unless I will make the payment but why should I make the payment. I want action against Mr. Sahil who took 700 RS from me as I was not even willing to make that payment. He lied to me and then made no action for disconnection of my services.
I would also like to mention that I have submitted ‘N’ number of complains sometimes I got the complaint number and sometime not most of them I don’t even remember. However I have two complaint numbers for reference F[protected], #25734914.
I would like to file a complaint against Airtel Broadband and Mr Sahil for the mental harassment they have created.
Please suggest how to proceed. I am in no mood forgive them, they have already created a lot of problems for me.
I am evening planning to get my blackberry services disconnected I will go with Vodafone. I don’t trust Airtel and not willing to pay 25-30 thousand Rs annually to them.
P.S. I forgot to mention the language and behaviour shown by airtel’s staff. If this is the way they treat their customers then soon airtel will no longer be number 1.
