It is shocking and very surprising that there has been regular balance cut for INR 5 for 'Live Cricket Score Update' through SMS - which was never authorised or solicited for.

Can you immediately take action for unsubscribing this and refund all the money that was deducted for the last 10 days atleast?

I earnestly request you to take up some corrective actions to prevent such nonsense from happening.

Also, I tried using SMS route o[censored]nsubscribing the same - it never worked or got any reply response - What the hell is happening with AIRTEL?

    I have been cheated by Airtel from the 3 years and every time they excuse and escape once i paid the bill.
    This was the mail which i sent ti Airtel Customer care which will clearly expalin the cheating.

    Past from the 3 months I have expalined to somany people which is everytime from the scratch as i was getting call from diffrent people each time.

    Hi,

    I am having mobile postpaid number 9611XXX397 past from the 3 years
    and till Sep2010 it was fine with lot of conclusion and unnessery
    charges and reverted while paying.

    after Sep payment i stooped paying because of irresponsiblities shown
    by Airtel. My connectioin got deactivated and in Feb 2011 Month I
    called for final settlement as i was planned for number portabilities,
    they came up with some 4000 change amount of bill in that i said
    remove all unwanted charges I will pay it of, finally they come up
    with final settlement bill 4000 which i do agreed and paid on Feb 23
    2011.

    as soon i paid my connection got activated and requested for number
    portabilities, immdiatly i got somany request from airtel and they
    said value added customer and they gave diffrent plan and some 15%
    discount on monthly bill, i agreed and desided to be with Airtel.

    and as soon my plan changed i got message saying your old account
    outstanding 882 rupees transfred to new account it was 21:00 night,
    Immdiatly i called customer care and enquired they said its system
    genered message please ignore.

    and then onwards i have expalined somany people, managers from airtel
    and everyone is said they will come back but no one returned as of
    now.

    Today my out going also barred. called customer care also: ref number F[protected]

    I would like to inform clearly : when i made final settlement Feb 23
    2011 which i have complete receipt and clear details of that.

    I am ready to pay whatever usage and monthly rental after Feb 23 2011
    which is genune.

    I am giving 24 hrs time to resolve this issues else i will file a case
    againest Airtel and even i will screw that DSA who collected final
    settlement.

    I will not pay even one rupees extra which Airtel have cheated me.

    Only 24 hrs time and dont call me after 24 hrs which will be no use.

    I lost my control now expalining each customer care person, and i dont
    have time also for the same

      Dear Sir,



      I am holding account no [protected] for Airtel DTH services at Thane- Maharashtra India.



      On 20th May 2011,I had deposited cash of Rs 300 as a refill amount with Airtel customer service representative Mr Anil (Mobile No [protected]) who is located in your office at Castle Mill Thane in Samsung Showroom of Mr Jain.



      While handing over the amount, a very clear insturctions were given in writing on a paper to change the existing package to Gold package costing Rs 177 per month as it was necesary for me due to the children's exams to discontinue the English Movies channel.



      To my utter surprise, I received on my registered mobile the SMS's on 22nd May 2011 informing to me that "Ultra" package has been activated and the burn rate would be Rs 12.51 per day on this package.



      Since I had never told to activate this package, I immediately called back the concerned representative to revert the package to Rs 177 per month package as requested by me.

      He has however informed that there was some mistake in your system which has activated the package "ultra" wrongly eventhough he had put a request of the package desired by me.



      While, it was insisted on him that this package is not required and he should outrightly discontinue this service, it was informed to me that this is not possible due to technical reasons and I will have to live with this package for a month and cannot be deactivated. It was assured that Airtel can compensate me with Rs 400 for this loss by additional charge coupen after ending the existing balance of Rs 400 on this account after a period of around 1 month only,



      Since the concerned person was not able help on the matter, I had approached his superior Mr Rahul (Mobile No [protected]) who had patiently heard the complaint. SMS was sent to him giving account details and the mistake created by Airtel personnel with a request to correct the situation. He has however informed that he is going out of station and could not help me till the time he comes back after a week.



      It was assured by both the above personnel that they will correct the situation and the papers have been referred to your Nodal office for the necessary corrections and activating the correct package.



      I had also tried to contact Mr Rao Nodal officer but never found him available and after lot of contacts on telephone no [protected], the customer service representative came on the line informing that there is no need to register the complaint and he will get the concerned Mr Anil on teleconference to resolve the issue.



      While he got the concerned personnel on line there was no solution from Nodal office but only to listen and assure that they will refer the matter and resolve.



      The matter in this fashion is never resolved by any of the above personnel and the balance on my account is depleting @ Rs 12.51 per day for no fault of mine and I am forced to take whatever is offered by Airtel Digital services at my expenditure.



      Today on receiving the several sms on my registered phone that my account is getting expired and I should pay immediately today itself the the amount of Rs 400. I had contacted the concerned Customer care representative Mr Anil if he could resolve the issue and atleast discontinue my services for the unwanted programme. I have been told that he has put a reminder in his phone to cancel my connection by 23rd June when all the balance will be exhausted and then only he can get a revised package created for me.



      Mr Rahul his immediate boss is not reachable and it is pity that such a big Group of Bharati Airel does not have a proper system to address the customer Grievences effectively by appointing responsible agency.



      I hope if not atleast Managing Director of Bharati Airtel would address and look into this aspect of customer redressels.

        I purchased a Family CUG Connection to be used by my Family Members - Dad's elder brother & his son and me. I gave all of my particulars and got the SIMs by paying Rs.993/- (We live in HUF system)

        Suddenly my Dad's elder brother and his son's sims are deactivated and Airtel had the atrocity to tell that they are not blood relation. This is most ridiculous. They can tell that the scheme is available for certain relationship only. The condition explained to me was that the family members have to live together. There is no specification that they should be of some specific relationship.

        I am really sad that the Airtel did not take up the responsibility to narrate the conditions of the scheme and allied information to the procurer of mobile connections. Now my money (Rs.662) is lost completely plus the very purpose of availing CUG is also lost. I am forced to activate the sims under prepaid scheme as I have informed all my friends and others about this number.

        Now they are collecting "Activation Fee" - they are never telling its nature - is it refundable or not.

        Further the worst part is physical verification; the guys drop in without informing the client. As it is a normal thing for any to go to work during business hours; it is better and also need of the day to inform and come to the place of residence. This is never done by Airtel. They are marking Negative Comments without even informing the end user.

        A person came and verified me - he never told that the verification result is negative and the reasons for it. The sims are deactivated without any information.

        Thus there is no proper information and there is denial of service to me.

          I never thought that I’d need to write a complaint to Airtel since my 8 years of association with the company (read brand) was immensely satisfactory.

          To give a background; I had visited Thailand from March 3 to March 10, 2011 and I took my Airtel mobile # [protected] along. Just before leaving for Thailand I called the Airtel customer at 121 and asked for activating my international roaming; I also asked the representative to provide me the calling rates when I’ll be on roaming, however, the representative was not well informed and insisted that I send an SMS to 121 stating rate `country name’.

          While on roaming I was able to make and receive calls. I sent an SMS to 121 ¿Rate Thailand¿ and did not get any response; I tried it again and sent a total of 3 SMSs and did not get any response. The only SMS that I received in this regard asked me to visit a website to know the rates. And if this is what a customer has to do, why did the customer support executive not tell me in the first place. (by the way I kept getting SMSs of various promotional offers!).

          Upon my return I got a message that my unbilled usage was around 17K which was just impossible for me to digest as my credit limit allows me to spend no more than 5K! I spoke to the customer care again and was told that when a customer is on international roaming, Airtel does not limit usage within the credit limit. This was very surprising, throughout the trip I was under the impression that my usage is well within the limit however, Airtel kept adding charges very quietly without even bothering to inform me that I have jumped my credit limit.

          Let’s take a scenario; I give you my card which has a balance of 10K. You go out of town (Thailand) and being very considerate I deposit additional 10K in my card so that you can use this amount. Obviously, I didn¿t tell his to you. While out of town you kept on using the card knowing that it would stop working once you have reached the maximum limit of 10K. And when you come back, I give you a shocker that since you were out of town (read International roaming) I thought of adding funds to your account so that you can have a nice time. But now that you have spent 20K (but you always thought that it was 10K) you owe me the entire sum; which is unjustified for me to ask for.

          This is just how I felt when I got to know that irrespective of my credit limit being 5K, I was unknowingly allowed to make calls worth more than 3 times my credit limit. I don’t think it is justified in any case. My points of concern are:

          1. Why was I not guided properly by the customer care executive regarding international calling rates when I called 121 the first time?
          2. Why did I keep getting promotional SMSs but not an SMS for resolving my query (even after sending the service SMSs to Airtel)?
          3. Why I was not informed upon nearing my credit limit of 5K? Usually Airtel sends an SMS as the customer is about to reach his/her credit limit.

          Why there were no SMSs and service messages before making an outgoing call?

          I hope the above explains my position as a user; I’m not sure how the situation can be dealt with now as the amount is still outstanding and Airtel has started adding late payment charges of Rs. 750!.

          In addition to this, I observed that my bill from March 26 to April 25, 2011 has charges for international roaming for 9th and 10th March which does not even fall in the billing cycle. I don’t understand what is happening to their service standards. I face more number of call drops, abrupt disconnections, irregular bills, unjustified reasons for overcharging and a lot more disappointments. It seems the Airtel I had been trusting all along has lost its way.

          I’ve told them that I’ll not be making any payments till the issue is resolved and I know Airtel (as mentioned above) will keep adding late payment charges!! I would appreciate if someone from Airtel could get in touch with me to get the issue resolved ASAP.

          Airtel — Sms Cost and limit

          Customers we pay for the booster packs for sms. Now they have limited for sms for 100/day. Lakhs of crores was lost to the government by 2g scam. Why should we(customers) face this sms limit problem and it costs 1 rupee for sms exceeding that 100 limit. Is that to compensate 2g scam loss????
          I agree to this. Even I am facing the same problem. They said I used a lot of data (GPRS) and suddenly sent an sms saying you have crossed Rs. 8000 limit.

          I am trying to get this reversed by sending emails since this is not acceptable that they charge beyond credit limit. Funny thing is that they would increase credit limit without asking the customer. if someone got around this problem then send me an email at [protected]@hotmail.com

            The Airtel digital TV is not working for the past 14 Days. - Customer ID-[protected].

            We registered a complaint No:8242560 and Technicial from Sabisu-Airtel Agent - Vadapalani - Mr.Jegan (Mobile no: [protected]) visited on 23rd May 2011 and claimed that the adopter has to be changed. We paid Rs 360 and obtained the bill. (Invoice no: 1349 dated 23rd May 2011). But even after changing the adoptor, he unable to rectify the problem and assured to bring his superiors, but till today he has not turned.


            Again I resigtered a complaint no: 8778720 and this time the agent came from Iyyappanthangal (probably Airtel changed the agent from Vadapalani to Iyyappanthanal) on 7th June 2011 and he claimed that set top box has to be changed. He changed the set up box and charged Rs 350 (through re-charge), but due to server problem, he claimed that the activation cannot be done immediatly. Waited till night and many time I sent sms to " HR" - 54325. Finally he conveyed over phone that the card reader may not be working. Hence possibility of changing the set up box again. But they refused to rectify.


            Once again I registered a complaint no: 8814511, but no body is turned up, till now.

              This is to inform you that. I want to port out my number from relience to airtel. My number which i want to port out is [protected] and my port id is RT328678. I have summited all my documents in airtel coustomer care on 26th may and they told me that to port out your number it will take a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 7 days. And till today on 8th june my number has not bean ported out and my port id is going to expire on 10th june. So please do it as soon as possible. When i am calling relience coustomer care they are saying to call airtel coustomer care we donot even receive any request to port out this number from airtel and when i am calling to airtel coustomer care then they are telling to contact relience coustomer care we donot have any details about this number. And when i am going to airtel coustomer care centre where i have given my documents they are saying that we have already raised your request in reliance please contact reliance coustomer care and reliance coustomer care people are saying that till now they have not got any request from airtel side. Please look into it and do it as soon as possible. I will be very thankful to you.

              Airtel — REGARDING PORTABILITY DELAY

              Airtel — Regarding delay in number portability

              I want to port out my number from relience to airtel. My number which i want to port out is [protected]. I have summited all my documents in airtel coustomer care on 26th and they told me that to port out your number it will take a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 7 days. And till today my number has not bean ported out. When i am calling relience coustomer care they are saying to call airtel coustomer care we donot even receive any request to port out this number and when i am calling to airtel coustomer care then they are telling to contact relience coustomer case we donot have any details about this number.

              This is to inform u that my problem listed on 1st of june has not bean resolved till now. Till now i have not got any confirmatory message from reliance side or airtel side regarding my portability and my number has not bean ported also till now. So please look into it and do it as soon as possible. I port id is going to expire on 10th of this month.

              Airtel — Number portability delay

              Dear All,

              I want to bring into notice, some of the malpractices and dirty gimmicks that Airtel is playing. They are deliberately delaying portability request multiple times. Earlier the portability date was 9th Nov 2011 and now they postponed it to 25th Nov 2011.My old portability code was AZ717147 and now its changed to AZ313718. This does not stop here, they also activate value added services without the customer's permission and deduct the money from the account balance. One more thing I would like to add is that they start charging money for SMSes even before the daily quota of 100 free SMSes is consumed. Do you think that customers are fools ?? I want compensation in terms of money for the harassment that airtel has caused and also require all the issues to be resolved in the next 24 hours. I will post this article over various social media websites and consumer forums if this matter is not resolved within the next 24 hours.

                This is to bring to your notice about Installation of Airtel DTH at my residence.

                I am having issues with Airtel DTH from day one.

                25th May 2011 - 30th May 2011
                When i called Customer Care, I was clearly mentioned that Airtel DTH will have to be booked using Credit Card only. And that there is no option to make payments except using Credit Card and that too only on phone. When i insisted that i do not maintain a credit card anymore, Customer Care went to the extent of suggesting me to borrow from my friends / family, but clearly declined that no internet booking can be done. I was suggested to make cash payments also, and it would take 76 hours minimum to honour my request. However the agent did not turn up for collection, and later I was told that there is no cash collectoin facility in this area. I was regularly followed up for new DTH connection.

                I went ahead to browse Airtel's website and realized that DTH can be booked online using NetBanking also!! Airtel's website is just not user friendly, it is equally confusing!! Due to this confusion, I ended up purchasing a subscription for South Mega pack for 12 months, instead of New DTH connection with 2 months free South mega pack. I ended up buying subscription without purchasing Airtel DTH connection.

                Airtel's website allows buying channel subscription without having DTH connection!!

                Eventually, I made a transaction for Rs. 4750 without Airtel generating a Customer ID for me. It was a daunting task to convey Customer Care that i bought subscription without being a customer.

                After several calls and with great persuasion, Ms Manjula - floor in-charge helped me generate a customer ID. I was required to register myself online using Registered Telephone number, but the subscription ID was not generated. After several attempts to customer care, it was explained to me that i need to recharge Rs. 140 to be able to get my Airtel DTH connection. I did the needful of recharging with Rs. 140 using my customer ID !!

                4th June 2011
                My transaction worth Rs. 4890 was now complete and I was eligible to get an Airtel DTH connection. During this whole phase, I had to go through the torturous journey of dealing & re-explaining my issue to each dumb customer care executive. I have spoken to Customer Care executives like Ashish, Lokesh, but mainly with Ms. Manjula. When i used to ask for these people in the morning, I was told that they have not yet come to office. In the afternoon, I was told that they are out for lunch. And in the evening, i was told that they have left for the day. No one called back even once, even after leaving requests for callback. I was finally assured that on Monday 6th June 2011, installation team will come in the first half and complete the installation.

                6th June 2011
                No one from the installation team visited my house as yet. If i want DTH connection, airtel technician named "CH Rajesh kumar" - Employee ID[protected], called up asking me to do the required wiring for DTH-recorder with the help of local electrician. And only then, he will come and do the honour of providing DTH connection.

                7th June 2011
                Another set of technician called up[protected] confirming that they will be visit the place at 3.30PM and complete the installation. Around 4 PM, I called up the technician to find out where he is, but either the phone was switched off OR out of coverage area.

                At the EOD, i do not have Airtel DTH connection as of now - 7th June 2011

                  Dear Sir,
                  I'm a prepaid customer of Airtel from the year 2006. with regards to my previous complaint of non regular deduction of daily rental for my mobile number [protected] dated feb 27, 2011 i have been provided with a refund amount of Rs 30. I have been using airtel booster pack for the past one year and as per norms of airtel, if we are using booster pack, they should not deduct any daily rental from the customer. Still they had been charging ( this time they got caught by charging 1.80 p. when i called their customer care they said those details we still haven't received yet. may be you are using some services thats why you have been charged)
                  When I called and asked they didn't provide a proper response and so i have decided to use mobile number portability and decided to move from airtel to BSNL. i have sent port request on 25th may 2011 (wed) and received a Porting ID AT 919619. After i have decided to port out, i am receiving calls from airtel ([protected]) stating that they are providing offers with reduced charges of calling from A2A at 30p and Airtel other mobiles 50p without any daily rental for 30 days and the offer is valid for 180 days.
                  i told them i have already put booster pack of 198 rupees for 3 months, so i won't find any difference in the call rates whether i am using booster pack or not using booster pack.
                  And i have also stated that i have bought the BSNL sim, so kindly allow me to change from airtel since i am not satisfied with the services provided by Airtel.
                  For that the customer care guys stated that we will refund you the amount for booster you have choosed and if required we ll provide refund amount for the bsnl sim also.
                  i was firm in my decision stating that i want to change from airtel so kindly process my request. they said OK fine you can come to airtel after 90 days and kept the call. the call is on 30th may 2011 (tue). in the next half an hour, i got a message from 1901 stating that your port request for mobile number [protected] has been rejected by your service provider due to legal reasons.
                  so i got irritated and called their customer care and inquired whats the reason for rejection. they said we wont do such kind of activities, may be you would have provided wrong details of your address. kindly check it again, so it will get port out automatically. when i contacted the bsnl office they stated that documents provided are perfect, airtel only is not allowing to port out.
                  in the mean time i am getting calls from airtel number ([protected]) stating that please don't go away from airtel, we will figure out the reasons for your deduction of money and also we will provide you offer of low call rates (as mentioned earlier in this complaint).
                  i called the customer care and asked the reason for rejection again on the next day i.e., 31st may 2011.
                  the customer care executive stated that yesterday itself you have accepted the offer provided by us, thats the reason for not getting port out. how come after accepting the offer you are contacting the customer care again.
                  i got irritated and stated the above details and also mentioned that even after the port rejection message from 1901 came, i am getting calls from airtel number ([protected]) with offers provided by them.
                  The customer care executive then said, no you have accepted the offer that is the reason for not getting port out, so still if you want to get port out resend the message again to 1900.
                  When i asked for the proof for accepting the offer provided by them, they didn't have an answer. after a long talk with the customer care guy, he transferred the call to his senior executive. the executive also stated that offer has been accepted that is the reason for not getting port out. any way if you provide the documents again in the bsnl office for re processing, you can get ported out without any charges for buying new bsnl sim for this purpose.
                  so i have given the documents again for reprocessing and was waiting to get ported out by today (4th june 2011). Message from 1901 again came stating that your request has been rejected by your service provider for legal reasons.
                  no response from airtel customer care when i called now. Being the number 1 service provider in the telecom, are they behaving as a dictator in this sector?
                  to retain a customer will a service provider go to such an extent?
                  Being an educated customer i could expose this to all the people through internet. if the same has been happening to an uneducated customer means?
                  consumer complaints forum and TRAI only needs to say an answer for this.

                    1) The service gets disconnected for no reason and remains so till i call up the call centre and ask them to fix it. call center connections get disconnected before reaching the technical hand in the night time,after 7pm. ERROR CODE-SM2

                    2) Slightest of rains disconnects the service and get disconneted frequently for hours during rainy season

                    3) I have a Airetel Digital TV HD setup box and had Subcribed for HD channels which were introduced later like Fox crime, Movies now,Discovery HD , Turbo , and science. the amount got deducted for the services but service has not started so far...(10 days already now)

                      I have brought one World Calling Card of Airtel while coming to US from Bangalore, India. I was told that i could make calls to India with this card after dialing the access number and the card code. However, ater dialing in, i get a message that the card is invalid. Sent a mail to [protected]@airtel.in and got an error reply that I have not given my landline number.

                      bought this card for 500rs and I was planning to buy more. But I am extremely disappointed with this. Please reply if you are reading this....

                        Moved to airtel through MNP and my incoming is not working for the last 9days.

                        I have moved to Airtel on 30th May midnight. From that moment onwards my incoming is not working. if anybody tries calling me it says "invalid number" "number doesnt exist"

                        Next day morning 31st may i placed a complaint to airtel customer care
                        complaint number: 37708697. This complaint is closed next day when i
                        called again and raised complaint.

                        On 1st June i raised a complaint No. 37726499. and i got a mail that
                        my incoming will be restored by [protected] within 9:30. But nothing
                        happend so far.

                        This is 9th day and still i am unable to get incoming call. i tried sending mail to nodal officer, appelate authority....but still the same thing.

                        today i called the 198 customer care and one lady said i need to get a new sim card and then incoming will work. I bought with 50rs and still my incoming is not working.

                        later they say the sim card which i used so far is HL2 and i need to buy another HL1 simcard by paying 50rs then they need to block the existing sim and activate the new HL1sim then it will work.

                        i called the customer care in evening they are saying old requests which are closed without informing me cant be re-opend. Before closing the request they should dial me then they will get the problem. But they are so arrogant and stupid. they closed the request.

                        Now new request number i got is 3784 2184 and its having due date as 13th june.one more week timepass for airtel. THey are just sucking the blood of customer without service.

                        Today i got a simcard delivered to me at noon. And they said it will be activated in 3-4 hours. I waited till evening and as of now at 8.15pm its not activated.

                        In the mean time i got mails saying my problem will be fixed.. but on ground nothing is happening.

                        i called 198 and a lady took my sim card number again to raise a request to activate it. and gave me the new request number 3786 5418.

                        There is something called ethics and customer service and its missing with airtel.

As i have giving exams so i switched off my mobile phone during exam time. for the last two days of exam whenever i switch on my mobile i got message that i have missed some important calls and if i want to know the numbers i missed i should request at *321*887# dialing. As instructed i dial this number and i got the message that your request is under process and i will soon get the list of 5 numbers i missed. This has happened on the last two days of my exams but i haven't got any list of numbers despite of dedcuted of the request made amount. Airtel care is the most third class service in the mobile phones provider every time i called on that service it got autotmatically disconnected whenever i tried to talk with customer care executive.

                            The salesman promised for internet and took the cheques of 699 INR. The amount got credited to BhartiAirtel and after 15 days I called the customer care and cancelled my request because they did not have any facility for broadband in my area and still now am waiting for my money to be credited back to my account. These people are cheating everyone in my area for broadband connection but they do not have the setup ready yet. Please take some serious action against these people.

I am totally taken back how such a reputed service provider like Airtel can do this at airport.

                                        My name is Jasmine, and I am being harassed by Airtel Customer care. One of my know person was using the number ([protected]) Airtel post paid number. 1 year back she left Bangalore and discarded but later came to know that the number was be given to somebody else. Now after one year I received a call from an Advocate Naidu and he tells me that I used the number and have to make the payment. My question is how did he get my number? as I came to bangalore a month ago and the airtel number was dead a year ago. and this number is nowhere in the track record as I am using my friend's number. I am sure they are doing some illegal things and harassing me. I am not even an Airtel user. He even threatened me that they are going to lodge a police complain. So hw did they find my number? Its my security issue now. They r using illegal way for sure, I have come here to work and my number is becoming public and crooks like this are calling me HARASSING me. I hope somebody listens to my complain and they stop harassing me.
