Hi,

There was some problem in DTH setup box,for which i have logged the complain on jun 1st 2011.( request number: 8579819) till now the issue has not been fixed.ID:[protected].

The customer services is really so worst.i dont know if these people dont have ability to check these issue ,then why they provide warranty.

I really disappointed with this service.

AIRTEL DTH SETUP BOX — REBOOTING TIME TAKEN MORE THAN 20 MINUTES

Dear Team,

we are facing the problem of DTH SETUP BOX problem. it has been taken more than 20 minutes time at starting.
Hi,

This is to inform you that the issue still not yet resolved.I called so many time to customer support but they just create tickets and by end of the day they close.There was no proper response.I surprised after seeing your comments. Without resolving the issue how you can say its resolved.

Please call to my number if this is resolved.

      Dear Sir,
      I got a connection from Airtel on 31/8/09 purchasing the SIM from Airtel Shop in Deoghar, Jharkand. The SIM No. was[protected] bearing the Airtel number was [protected]. Call Centre informed me through email on 3/1/11 that the mobile number [protected] had been permanently deactivated due to Address Verification formalities, with effect from 09/12/2010. Last outgoing call on 30/12/10 at 8:15pm, call duration was 1min 50 sec. After permanent deactivation of Airtel number [protected] I recharged the mobile 3 times. Amounts were Rs 399. The recharge dates were 22/12/10, 17/12/10, and 10/12/10.
      How was it possible? Is not a miracle?
      After 4 four months i.e. on 3/5/11, Customer Service informed me through email that the Airtel number [protected] was permanently deactivated from their network with effect from 31/12/2011. The number was so deleted in the light of accomplishment of Project Re-verification which was mandated by Department of Telecommunication regarding re-documentation and sanitization of the Subscriber Base. I had deposited necessary documents for re-verification whose C.A.F. number 6124208 when I received SMS for the first time on 20/12/10. I have informed my problem to the Chairman of TRAI (Ref: 325-1/2011/CA/Vol. II) and to the Chairman TC and Secretary (T) of DoT (Docket Number. DOTEL/P/2011/00089).
      But I would like to mention here that I had sent 16 emails to “Three Tier Institutionalized Grievances Redressal Mechanism”. Amongst these, 8 emails to the C.C of dated 3/1/11, 4/1/11, 5/1/11, 7/1/11, 9/1/11, 10/1/11, 11/1/11 and 12/1/11 and 4 emails to the Nodal Officer of dated 13/1/1, 19/1/11, 20/1/11 and 27/1/11 and 4 emails to the Appellate Authority of dated 24/1/11, 25/1/11, 4/2/11 and 11/2/11. Amongst 16 emails I received one official emails against my email 3/1/11 and an unofficial email (i.e. junk mail) against my email 12/1/11. In junk email there was no sender’s name. I received auto-generated Acknowledgement mail against my all emails mentioned above. It means that all the emails were successfully delivered.
      I request you to kindly help me to activate my Airtel number [protected] using the Cancelled/Enrollment/Old (SIM No. was[protected]) SIM.

      MS Bharati Airtel — SIM CARD REGISTRATION FALIED

      Airtel is customer centric organization. I lodged my first complaint on 3/1/11. More than 5 months past Airtel has not taken any action to solve my problem. After permanent deactivation of any number, that deactivated number can be re-activated again using old SIM. Technically it is possible to use cancelled/old/enrollment SIM.

I came to know from the Airtel comments up-loaded by Rakesh Ranga, Airtel Presence (Airtel Customer Service Team) and from email sent by MS Hemlata of Airtel Presence (Airtel Customer Service Team) that my concern had been resolved. They are trying to reach me through the deactivated Airtel number [protected]. For the said purpose they had sent SMS to my deactivated Airtel number [protected]. For your kind perusal, I want to say that my mobile is still now showing “SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED”.
      How will they reach me?
      How shall I receive the SMS?

      I lodged a complaint in your forum on 5/6/11. Mr. Rakesh Ranga always informed me that your complaint has been resolved. but my mobile is still now showing SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED. As there was no alternative way, so i aproached to DEOGHAR DISTRICT CONSUMER FORUM. My case number 62/11 dated 13/7/11. Case has been accepted. Notice has been sent to Nodal Officer and Head Service Recovery and Choudhary Agencies of Deoghar.
      Your Forum has not helped me.

        In a promotional call on 04/june/2011 Airtel asked me to activate the caller tune with various songs...I opted my desired

        one (MANGAL BHAWAN FROM GEET GATA CHAL MOVIE). Instead of the selected song as it was in male playback singer's voice

        they (Airtel) activated female playback singer.

        I complained the customer care but they kept on saying me in a very rude way that the song is in male voice, wherein i

        constantly kept on checking and i was right that the song was in female voice (what i had not purchased)

        I again called the customer care today i.e. 05/06/2011 and talked to the senior authority Ms. Sunita Kumari. After

        listening to me she was confessing that "we thought that you have been delivered the right product as it is showing in my

        database".....anyhow she reactivated the male voice but again it was not the same and was sung by some tom dick & harry.

        since then i.e after the reactivation i again tried to call and my call was forwarded to Ms Shruti. The pathetic part with

        this senior authory was the she holded my call saying that I am checking the details and after waiting for more than 14

        minutes my call got disconnected.

        BECAUSE OF THIS IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR, RUDE WAY OF TALKING, WRONG DELIVERY OF THE PURCHASED SERVICE (THE

        CALLER TUNE) I AM VERY DISGRUNTTLED. ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT LOST A HUGE AMOUNT BUT 10 RUPEES ONLY BUT I LOST MY

        PEACE AND MY PRECIOUS TIME.

        MY SIMPLE QUSTION IS THAT "HOW CAN ANY PIONEER COMPANY BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE FOR TOWARDS ITS CUSTOMER" and

        "HOW CAN THE DATABASE SHOW THE WRONG INFORMATION".

          Sir,

          I would like to request your kind intervention and help required to avail the service of MNP implemented by TRAI, My number [protected] Airtel kerala, I requested to port to BSNL on 28th of June 2011 due to the pathetic service, network issues, Bill Plan changes done without my authorization and high tariff charged. My MNP request was rejected from Airtel stating various reasons like my service request is pending to be resolved , unbilled amount is to be paid,Black listed SIM , my bill plan is under corporate plan. Airtel is coming up with new new excuses day by day to stop me from Porting and have clearly stated that they will not allow this number to be ported because i am a high bill paying customer for them , They have instructed me that only option for me to stay with airtel.

          Airtel — DENIAL OF MNP REQUEST

          Sir,

          I am using the Airtel Post paidConnection (No.[protected]) for the past five years. On february 10th, I changed from Post Paid to Pre paid and retained the same number. Now I decided to move from Airtel to Videcon by using Mobile Number Portability to keep the same mobile number and placed the request. But Airtel rejected the request saying that my connection is just 2 months old. They (the customer care executives) say that I have to complete 3 months in Pre paid since I have changed to pre paid only on Feb.10th and I will be eligilbe to apply for MNP only after May 10th. But I am using the number for the past 5 years ie. as post paid till Feb.9th and Prepaid from Feb.10th onwards. The TRAI rules clearly specify that the customer has to be with the service provider (and not on a particular plan) for 90 days. Please let me know if I am eligible for MNP now? Or I have to wait till May.10th
          I faced a similar problem which Mr Samjacs did when i tried to port my number from Airtel to Aircel. I am Vikrant Verma, a resident of New Delhi. My number is [protected]. I first ported my number to airtel from idea. but that was a mistake, airtel network in my locality was pathetic. i eagerly waited for 90 days to be over so that i could port to some other operator. after 90 days i reached aircel outlet to port my number from airtel to aircel. but then my frustration started. i got calls from three airtel executives requesting me not to port the number and they assured my that they would try to resolve my issues as soon as possible. i told each of them that i am firm in my decision to port the number. to my surprise i got a message from aircel that my MNP request has been rejected by airtel due to some contractual obligation. the reason behind this was that one of the executive credited free airtel minutes in my account without informing me so that i could be said to be tied with some services and my MNP request could be rejected. my phone has auto call recorder and my conversation with all the executives were recorded in it. i decided to go to consumer court because i was really furious over this ill practice of airtel to not allow MNP in most of the cases but sadly my phone was lost and i didnot hav any proof left. to sum up, airtel's practice to reject MNP request of its customers is unlawful.

            Sub: MNP Complain Letter

            Respected sir,
            I am an Airtel customer now. My mobile number actually Vodafone number. I was taking first porting generate on 30/01/2011 for change service provider Vodafone to Airtel. But, I am feeling some problem of Airte Service. Now I have decided that, I will change the Airtel service provider and I send message for Port ID (PORT <one space> [protected] to 1900) on 28/04/2011 and the expiry date 12/05/2011. The Porting number is AV796523. But Airtel company my porting number has cancelled frequently. Than I re-send message for new Porting number on 11/05/2011 and the expiry date 12/05/2011, The Porting number is AV796523. Than again message send for Prot on 12/05/2011 and I was getting Port number AV555221, and the expiry date 27/05/2011. I do not send any cancelled request message. But Airtel Company is cancelling my Porting number. I am calling to customer care 198, 121 &[protected] but no connecting Airtel customer care. Every Porting number has been taking Airtel provider calls me and automatically request save you. Contact No. is[protected]
            I thing, Airtel company don’t obey the MNP rules. So, I will take complain that Airtel company is compelling me for use his won service provider.
            I was requesting that kindly you take prompt action these problems.

            Airtel — airtel mnp service

            sir i want to my idea no [protected] is changed by mnp to airtel but cercil retalor say to me when you changed to airtel in future your servises will be stoped without any reason here airtel servises is very week and thay did not listion to ritelor plz chack the aria servis in my town...
            Please read my query, they are making customer a fool, Am sure none of the customer who had exited airtel will ever come back
            how can i know the date i was ported. I dont remember when i ported to airtel. airtel people aren't giving the details of when i was ported.
            i want to get ported to other service provider

              I am your customer for nearly one year and my Customer ID is [protected]. THREE Set Top Boxes are working from a single dish antenna. But for the last few months faulty messages are coming to my mobile no.[protected] stating - 'Your Airtel Digital TV account [protected] is about to expire soon due to low balance. Please recharge with Rs.600 TODAY to avoid disconnection of service.' I have received this threatening message on 05/06/2011 at 10:24. But I have recharged my aforesaid Airtel Digital TV account [protected] with Rs.600 on 04/06/2011 at about 14:00 hrs. The confirmation of that recharge was mailed to my mobile on 04/06/2011 at 14:06 stating - 'Your digital TV account [protected] is successfully recharged with Rs.600. If your services do not resume, pls SMS HR to 54325 from your registered mobile no. after switching your Set Top Box on.' This is not a solitary case and it recurrs every month.

              Please STOP these type of disturbance created by wrong alerts.

                    Alwar, Rajasthan).
                    Since last few months I have been getting many messages from
                    AD-54321, and a lots of money is also
                    deducted from my prepaid balance. And this all happened without my
                    permissions. I want to immediately stop this
                    service, so please do the needful.
                    I also want to stop all other active services on my this prepaid
                    number, as I dont want to see any unwanted sms
                    messages, and dont want to even pay for them.
                    If I get any more messages regarding these unwanted services, I will
                    have to escalate the issue to authrities, so
                    please do the needful at the earliest.

                      This is in reference to the complaint I have posed on this same site on May 20, 2011. My previous number with Airtel Broadband services was[protected] which is now changed to another number. I have deposited money against that number, Rs 680/- and Rs 251/- in lieu to get connection shifted, but I was never issued any bill regarding that or explained to me why this money had been charged. Now, when I am asking for it, nobody is even responding till this date. I have written numerous mails to Nodal Officer and Appellate Officer regarding that also, but nothing more than auto-reply came back to me. I have described them whole case in a very detailed manner, but nothing so far could be done. I have also sent mail to "airtelpresence" but they came up with funny answer that my connection was duly shifted and was working since May 20, 2011, whereas connection just got started since June 01, 2011 at around evening time.

                      There are some more incidents related to this, first of all, Airtel executives doesn't even know whether the case is for shifting or migration. They migrated somebody else's number first to my home, then also told me that your voice line was already active, we are giving to additional broadband facility, etc. I was just wondering what all is happening. Then, I took test of my patience to explain everything again to that fellow and he said, he will look into this matter, but as a matter of fact, my broadband has been started, but I still don't know which plan it is running, what is the date from where it would be billed, what is status of money I deposited till now, etc.

                      I just want to ask Airtel Authorities that why don't you answer somebody's query in a proper manner, why you people are not known of somebody's connection details if you are entitled to resolve queries on behalf of Airtel, or at least one should turn up to say to at least give a timeframe for the matter to be resolved.

                      I have got so many reference numbers, but none of them were resolved on time. And the worst part is No Apologizes, No Calls, No Reply to Mail, Just Nothing from Airtel which has come to me yet. I have taken a decision to file a court in consumer court and soon I will update on this itself what best I could get from them in the coming days.

                      I WANT TO TELL EVERYONE JUST BEWARE BEFORE TAKING ANY KIND OF SERVICES FROM AIRTEL WHETHER IT BE BROADBAND, DTH OR MOBILE SERVICES BECAUSE I AM HAVING ALL OF THEM, AND TRUST ME, YOU WILL ONLY REGRET WHY YOU ARE HAVING THEM. TO GET RID OF AIRTEL, I AM TAKING TATA SKY FOR DTH, MNP TO VODAFONE FOR MOBILE AND FOR BROADBAND I WILL BE FILING A CASE AND HAS ALREADY GOTTEN TATA PHOTON AND RELIANCE BROADBAND AT MY HOME. I HAVE NOT EVEN SURFED A SINGLE PAGE TILL DATE.

You yourself is deciding that my complaint is resolved and most amusingly without letting me know by any means of communication, mail, phone or sms. That's really great on your part. I have got a mail from your appellate officer to write a mail to them, but you are saying the issue is resolved. Can you please tell me in what terms is this issue resolved??????                       With reference to above issue, the issue was not resolved at any time and neither I got any call or mail from Mr. Rakesh Ranga. He is just blogging on this site with no facts whatsoever regarding someone's problems. Maybe I am the first one to follow up this case on this particular site. Well, I have got a bill from airtel of the above landline/broadband of Rs 971/- which is actually for 18 days as my connection started on June 1, 2011, at around evening time. Secondly, how can a bill generate in 18 days???? Thirdly, my plan is Rs 649 unlimited, so in any case, it cannot exceed Rs 712 or something like that?????

                      Guys, beware, it is as good as Congress where you don't have option to change it, but just bear with it, and one day they will cut your throat with so many charges, either you will be frustrated and do silly things like me or you will take out the connection and suffer as always...in any case, sufferings will be all yours...I hope one day, TRAI should make a law regarding MNP on Broadband connection or there should be some transperancy in this whole system.

                        this was happened at 26/05/11...the airtel guy came to my house and i paid the money of 700.r.s but the problem is they couldn't provide the connection to my home at no reason...
                        and there is no word the from airtel what will happen to my money...i want it back...

                        i got the receipt for the payment....what should i do now.

                            Actually daily we are getting so many number o[censored]seless sms's.I spoke with airtel coustomer care people they told to me as "Do not distrub mode " service has to register and that too it will take 45 day's will take for such service.

                            But this is not failr because we all are working, especially on working time all such type o[censored]se lesss sms's are comming, with out our interactionthey only reigsterd or sold our numbers to some promo sites..now they are telling promo guys are founding your numbers in internet...

                            i don't what we need to do on this but some action is required..because this is not only my problem all most all people are facing the same issue..

                                  But due to low balance it wasn't renwed on[protected]..
                                  Got manually activated for rs5/50mb by *567# service, even the charge was deducted.

                                  After some time started browsing but after completion of it the balance was deducted.

                                  Checked even by *123*10# int acc bal was.

                                  I called Customer care 198 and even 121, But did'nt got correct suggestion.

                                  THE CALL WAS DISCONNECTED ON EXECUTIVE SIDE IN MIDDEL OF THE CONVERSION

                                  BUT AFTER THIS IF CALLED TO CC THE CALL IS DIRECTLY BEING DISCONNECTED SUGGESTING DIAL *123#

                                  REALLY THE SERVICE OF THE AIRTEL IS NOW A DAYS BEING DECRESSED THIS PROBLEM IS FACED MANY TIMES BY ME

                                    Yesterday I have raised a complaint about faulty STB ... havent heard from Airtel yet. This STB was replaced last month and i paid Rs. 350/- for the same. Within a month I am facing a problem again.

                                    I have another complaint. My subscription is for Ultra pack (which is the highest pack available). Recently you guys have increased the charges for the ultra pack so daily burn rate increased. however I am unable to see newly added channels to Ultra pack (as displayed on airtel dth website). why this treatment ??? you are happy to increase the rate and expect your customer to see the same channels. If i am already paying as per revised rate and subscribed to Ultra pack ... I MUST get all the channels shown in Ultra pack.

                                    I contacted the customer service. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SICK ... I AM SORRY TO SAY BUT EITHER I AM THE UNLUCKY ONE OR THERE ARE BUNCH OF PRESENT IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DO FOLLOWING -
                                    1. KEEP THE CUSTOMER ON HOLD FOR 75% DURATION OF THE CALL
                                    2. AFTER A WHILE ... THEY JUST DISCONNECT THE CALL ... SO CUSTOMER CALL UP AGAIN AND GO THRU THE HARASSMENT ALL OVER AGAIN
                                    3. FOR ANY DAMN QUESTION ... THEY SAY SEND 'HR' TO 54325 (WHEN I ASKED THE FELLOW DO U KNOW WHAT HR MEANS ... HE CONFESSED THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE OF IT ... THEN I EXPLAINED TO HIM WHAT HEAVY REFRESH IS ALL ABOUT)
                                    4. SUDDENLY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STARTS PRETENDING THAT THEY CANNOT HEAR WHAT THE CUSTOMER IS TALKING ... AND PRETEND AS IF THERE IS NETWORK ISSUE AND THEN SAY 'I AM DISCONNECTING THE CALL AS THERE IS NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER' .... OTHER SIDE YOUR CUSTOMER IS YELLING ... HELLO HELLO .. I CAN HEAR YOU ... WHY CANT YOU HEAR ME

                                    AND YES ... CUSTOMER SUPPORT TOLD ME THAT ALL NEW CHANNELS ARE NOW ON DIFFERENT SATELLITE AND SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE. IF THATS SO ...                                     And I also had the similar experience with Airtel, the response of Customer Service Executive is very bad. This was a service executive by name Pankaj and he put me on hold for more than 15 minutes and finally disconnected my call. And next time I could reach them out only after multiple attempts and when I asked the same to these executive they said that this time they won't disconnect. And it confirmed my presumption that they are doing willingly. I would hope we have a DTH Portability also soon and then they feel the pressure. How can they take customer granted.

                                    If they are not ready with the services why do they send out SMSes and other messages about the new services.

                                    Also, one more interesting thing is they are not offering a local DD channel and provide other regional channels. I am from Andhra Pradesh and would like to see Telugu DD FTA channel which is a mandatory requirement as per TRAI guidelines but they provide all other regional channel and not DD Telugu and if you ask the same the response is very bad

                                    Airtel DTH service has been pathetic. First of all whenever I call the toll free number(12150), the call gets disconnected before connecting to the customer representative. They make you call the toll number
                                    [protected] and then only you are able to speak to the person. I had emailed Airtel reg this but I have not received any response.

                                    Second i added the new channels CBS, FOX etc on saturday after asking the customer representative. But till today I am unable to watch those channels. That person did not tell me anything about the realignment and I have paid for the channels that I am unable to view. I have called the customer care(toll no.) many times and they are telling the representative will come today.

                                    I've been an Airtel customer(4 mobile, landline, broadband) for over 5 years and I did not expect this kind of service. My customer ID is [protected].
                                    I have subscribed for two tamil channels ie., captain and another new tamil channel and paid susbscription for 12months in Feb '11. But till date almost two months, the service has not been activated. My Airtel DTH No. [protected]. Everytime a customer service people will call and inform that they will send the engineer next day but till date for airtel the next day has yet to come. What kind of service you people are rendering and I don't want captain tv and other new channel and I want my subscription back for these two channels.

                                    Please take this issue seriously.

                                      Dear sir/madam,
                                      I accidentally subscribe Airtel mobile tv April last week then after every week Airtel deducting Rs. 40 from my account. I tried a lot to daccountte this service for this i contacted Airtel customer care executives and also send messages to stop this service but no results. I just want to unsubscribe this service kindly help

                                        I have been having issues with Airtel network in my residence regularly and in office some times in last 5-10 days. Issues is am not been able to reach and talk to the customer care office as it gets disconnected. Most of the times it gives connection error, call not allowed issues.

                                        After I wrote to them on 30th May,and after 3-4 days I got one email asking for lot of details. Suddenly I got 5-10 SMS and email saying your query is resolved. Today morning I got a call back from customer care office regarding the same. However I got another email yesterday asking for same details again.

                                        Am not sure, which query is resolved, which query is not. Absolutely no resolution to the network issues.

                                        Just now (13th June 2011 - Around 2.15 PM), I got one call from some one asking me about the details. Though i had sent all the details in an email dated 31st May to the email ids "[protected]@in.airtel.com" & "[protected]@airtel.in", your people still do not have that information and every time they expect the customer to be in a position to answer the queries. When I said I cannot give the information and please refer to the email dated 31st May, she said query cannot be resolved. And now I have received couple of sms stating the query is resolved.

                                        I mean what is this kind of query resolution? You guys are cheating the customer, there is not interest in resolving the problem.
