I have had purchased SONY LED KLV-40EX520 from CROMA on 15th Mar 2011, I have recd Airtel HD DTH. After registering with Airtel and receiving Airtel Customer
ID and I recharged my account with INR 1000 on 24 Mar 2011. Same day I requested your customer care executive over phone for the installation, the date and
time slot I got from executive was 25th Mar 2011 from 9:00 am to 10:00am. but the service Technician did not turned up in the promised time slot when I made
myself available by taking short leave from my office. He came after 2 hrs at around 12:30pm when I was not at home and was attended by my wife for the DTH
installation but due to some cable routing issue he did not install the connection and went back. after coming back from office I again contacted Airtel DTH
customer care center and requested new time which I recd for 26th Mar between 10:00am to 11:00am. Unfortunately no body visited during this time too. Thereafter
I followed many times with your customer care executives but..It was told to me that my complaint no. 6319676 is registered and it will be resolved latest by
4:30pm on 27 Mar 2011. But to my biggest surprise I recd a SMS on 27 Mar 2011 at 2:18pm mentioning my request has been resolved whereas I was still pending.
Immediately I spoke to Airtel customer care and told about this and It was assured to me that I should wait till 4:30pm and it will be resolved. BUT IT IS NOT
RESOLVED. Finally on 27th evening I contacted one local dealer SOMU CELL ZONE, OPP. SHIV MANDIR, NEAR Police Chowky, Pataudi Road, GURGAON. This dealer by name
ANIL has also spoken to AIRTEL about my problem but with no success. Finally I purchased new TATA SKY connection from him by paying INR 5810.
Next day I recd a call from AIRTEL asking me to get DTH installed and I requested them that now as I have purchased new TATA SKY so they should compensate
me for same as well as all the harassment I have gone thro otherwise I am ready to take a legal action for my consumer rights...but....
I did not loose my hope and again contacted AIRTEL customer service on 09th Apr 2011 and tried to resolved this without going legal way and got the contact
number of Mr. Rohit raj (cell no. [protected]). I also reported whole case to him but with no success.

Please let me know how to deal with them in such case.

    Dear sir/madam i request you to please file a complaint against airtel...,,i use net for social networking...,,but day by day services are delibrately activated on my no [protected] ...,,the msg i got says thanks for using airtel mobile tv or thanks for downloading from gclub...,,the msg sender is "AD-54321"almost 100 times i call customer care...,,they say my service has been deactivated but again next day airtel charges RS.10 TO RS. 40 ...,,almost from 2 months earlier i've been complaining but no such notification i got till now....almost i lost 2000 above bucks ...,,i got hyper also and many times i put over my frustration on customer care executive...,,but till now it has not been permanently unsubscribed...,pls help me to get rid of this service......,,kindly reply me soon my email is [protected]@gmail.com

    Pls help me
    We are using Airtel sevices from past 4 to 5 years and we use to trust them. But now the company has changed they have become like vultures they are in look out for an oppotunity to levy some unathorised chages as and when like.
    I have called the airtel cutomer service to activate do not disturb like 5 months ago for my moms mobile and they said that it will be activated in 45 days a rediculous time gap they have given but still i said ok but they keep on sending my mom the same unwanted sms and keep on activating some services which my mom doesnt even know about and started charging rupee at first everyday now it went upto rs5 everyday today i spoke to the customer service representative he said that it was me who activated the service and after a conversation he decided to deactivate the service and to my surprise he said that there is another service which is presently activated on the and asked wether i would like to deactivate it as well (and this service is about some chat with a cricketer it seems) this is the level they are going down to now. Airtel is really becoming a thief in a corporate veil.
    I would like consumer complaint forum to take some severe actions against these people who think that they are above the law and think themselves as so called GODS.

      My Airtel mobile number was registered with NDNC (Reg. no. W[protected]) on 4th January 2011. The sms following the registration said promotional calls or sms would stop within 45 days from then, but to my utter surprise, till today, 21st May, '11, I'm receiving these types of sms and calls. Also, when I went to lodge my complaint in their site (http://www.airtel.in/wps/wcm/connect/airtel.in/airtel.in/home/do+not+disturb+re... I find quite difficult to submit that. Everytime, after giving all the information, i.e. phone number, date, content of sms etc., some bogus message coming, saying "give today's date or past date" etc. and don't let me submit the form online. As a matter of fact, I was then complaining about the present day's sms or phone.

      This is the case. Please help me what I can do next.

      Airtel — GETTING PROMOTIONAL MESSAGES

      Dear Sir/Madam

      I am using Airtel No.([protected]) from last 5-6 years. I registered my no in DND when it was launched. But I am continously getting promotional messages most of them from real state. I am going to mention few of them (BL-FLATS, DM -SUPERTECH, LM-GOLDMINE, LM-SNERA) and many more.
      And most of the time i get these messages in odd timings and mentally gets disturbed.
      I have already registered complaints on customer care but no action has been taken by Airtel.
      I request the concern authority to take appropriate action agaist them.

        First i was written a mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com and there is no response after 24 hours and after one month i got a call from Airtel customer care regarding payment due but not against my compalint, I told to customer care executive,

        1. Once we make the payment immediately you send me a reply, but if i lodge a complaints againts your poor service, Why you are not revert me immediately, now you are calling after a one month reg a payment.

        2. Customer care executive said, first you tell what are all the probeling your facing, first we will resolve it, then we will ask payment, i said ok.

        Comaplaint Below:

        i. Cross Talking
        ii. Irregular billing
        iii. VAS ( monthly Rs.302) I am getting) i am using only Caller tune is that Rs.30/Month only.
        iv. Some VAS, Learn english is activated without my knowledge for that charging monthly Rs.100/-
        v. after resolving the issue then i make the payment

        3. but all the above mentioned issue not reolve till now, and this is 3rd month

        i have not made last two months payment, due to above mentioned issues. this is corporate CUG connection, Please think and do something.

        Today my Outgoing calls & SMS has been deacitivated, please rectify my above issue then i will clear the payment ASAP

        I am Awaiting for your reply from your end.

        If i am not getting favourable reply, immediately i will change the service provider

          I have been facing problem of error code SM1, SET TOP BOX HANDED and VIDEO PROBLEM since I got the connection (January 2011). I have registered compaints at customer care and also contacted at the local number which customer care had given. Service engineers visited at the place and do some reset and problem get resolves. but problem occurces again after towo three days. again i registered complaint and then comes and resolve. Some time it is taking 2 to 3 days to resolve the problem. this is happening since jan-2011.

          My connection was not working for around 1 month out of 5 months. Every time i ask for the permenent solution but not getting proper anser.

          I called airtell DTH REP on May 14 and time is 09.54 PM, hr has dis connected the call after asking few queries, his attitude is rude.

          Problem is, my id-[protected] is not showing few free channels like channel number 534, showing error SM1,

              I AM GAURAV
              This is with reference to my post paid airtel connection having account ID
              [protected] which i used 2 years ago while studying at IIT ROORKEE-ROORKEE
              (UK) .I was not aware that the account is having a due of 3500 rupee for
              which AIRTEL intimated me on 20 march 2010 ...nearly 2 years after i closed
              this connection... .

              i have cleared all my dues at ROORKEE-Uttarakhand on[protected] with cash
              receipt number 583939 amount 3500 rupee but no one till date has given any
              email or phone call assurance that everything is clear now..?? I am sending
              you the scanned copy of my cash receipt along with mark that all clear.
              now after nearly one year on[protected] i am getting
              calls from [protected] (stating to be a police man) ,[protected] (office of
              advocate) stating that i have been charged with criminal CASES of not paying the
              bill....so now where to go for resolving this issue...i called airtel NODAL OFFICE but they are unable to get any details of my account.......attached is scaned copy of my payment to airtel.

                Airtel prepaid mobile — failed recharge

                I had recharged Rs.100/- for my prepaid mobile no:[protected] on 13/12/09 through HDFC Net Banking. But recharge was not successful. I had talked to your customer care Executive several times. As per them no recharge is showing in your system. I contacted also with HDFC Bank. & as per bank money transaction was successful & transaction ID :[protected].

                Ulimately I am a Customer who is suffering. This is may be a Question of Rs.100/- but for me it is a reliability of a Service provider like you. What should I do?
                I had recharged Rs.100/- for my prepaid mobile no:[protected] on 13/12/09 through HDFC Net Banking. But recharge was not successful. I had talked to your customer care Executive several times. As per them no recharge is showing in your system.                   From three days i am trying to stop Models MMS Alert_Ascenso MMS.and greeting services. These two services are activated on the my prepaid airtel. From three days i am talking to airtel excutive that to stop these services evening he is stoping the service and morning again it is activited automitically and deducting the balance.so please take action. There should some serious action on that type of services.

                      We are holding AIRTEL connection since the beginning of the AIRTEL service. But as it was declared in our country, that we can take portability from our existing connection to other Service provider. Therefore, we applied with IDEA to get our AIRTEL connection to be portable with IDEA in the Month of January 2011. But now, it is almost 5 months is going to be over, our portable with IDEA is still not activated, because AIRTEL service provider is refusing the approval every time by saying that we have a contract with AIRTEL, hence, we cannot do the portability to any other service provider. As per our knowledge there is no contract has been signed by us with AIRTEL at the time of taking connection with them. And also they are reasoning that the Unique Code is mismatch, so they cannot approve for the portability. This is to request you, that kindly give instruction to AIRTEL, that please allow us to get the portability from AIRTEL to IDEA. And please tell them to don't delay unnecessarily, as they have no rights to stop us to get the portability to other service provider. I came to know that if I complained this problem to consumer forum, then I will get the solution immediately, because consumer forum will answer us immediately.                         This is to state that I got Airtel Landline Number[protected]. My name is Prateek Khandelwal. It is a long story, but I will try to summarize it. I have got this connection for so long now. I have made a request to shift this line as I shifted my house from Janakpuri to Uttamnagar. I was told that the "Box is Full" and the line could not be transferred and there were innumerable calls came for the same thing, even 6 times a day. I said what is the best option then because I wanted to retain the number and broadband service. They said, we will freeze your rental and no bill will come to you and at any time we find the box is free or if we have more request, we will fix the problem. I humbly agreed and thanked them for the same. This whole incident happened in the Month of Jan 2011.

                        Of note, I made a request at Jan 8, 2011 approximately for shifting and this all took time till Feb 2011 and I cleared all my dues till that time.

                        Now, I have changed that house in Uttamnagar just in three months due to some personal issues and shifted back to Janakpuri, so I contacted Airtel people again, so that I may get my connection back. Now, the sufferings start for me with Airtel. I have been told to deposit a bill of Rs 680/- at first as Bill for Jan 2011 (Which I never used, I told them thousand times this is not my bill and I am not supposed to pay it, but the executives were so rude and bad in their language that I can't even explain you, though I got one number of your executive [protected]), but ultimately I had to deposit that money only to get my connection back.

                        Then, I called customer care to put a new shifting request as I have cleared all my dues and here they come up new amount to pay of Rs 251/-. I again enquired this is not supposed to be paid and the same answer with that same tone from your people. I decided to raise that issue to concerned department, so I got opportunity to talk to so many executives at Bharti AIrtel, Okhala office, named Sakshi, Sapna, etc. I also got a chance to speak to Mr. Deepak who is their so-called senior and he assured me that the reversal will be made and then he never called back or came on phone again. I can say I at least called all these people regularly morning, afternoon, evening, just to know the status and they never took my concern to any level, nor answered me about any detail.

                        Well, finally I decided to pay Rs 251/- as I already lost so much of peace of mind plus other problems from office because of it and called the customer care department and they took the shifting request.

                        Now, the guy came from Airtel after 3-4 days and fix the cables, but did not put the splitter means neither the phone works, nor the internet and said the engineer will come and fix this. Now, it has been 5 days already and no engineer even called or showed up at my house. I made a complaint and reference number 46545136 was given to me with assurance that the person will come, but as usual he didn't. Yesterday, I again made a complaint and number is 46620220 and the deadline for this is tomorrow around noon time.

                        Adding a final nail to coffin, a SMS came to me stating that I am supposed to deposit Rs 98/- as amount outstanding on my bill.

                        Now, I know it is a pretty long mail, but it's all sufferings I got. I have a few questions for you, I would be highly obliged if you can answer these to me please and mind it this is for all of you guys to whom I am sending this mail.

                        1. WHY DO I NEED TO PAY THAT RS 680/- WHEN I DID NOT USE THE INTERNET FOR THAT PERIOD OF TIME?
                        2. WHY THE PERSON WHO TOLD ME THAT THE ACCOUNT WILL BE FREEZED BUT THERE WILL BE CHARGES FOR IT, I WAS NOT INFORMED ABOUT ANY CHARGES WHATSOEVER?
                        3. WHY DID NOT THEY PROVIDE ME ANY BILL OF ANY SORT OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED DUES TILL DATE?
                        4. IS THE KIND OF SERVICE ONE SHOULD EXPECT FROM A PROMINENT BROADBAND SERVICE PROVIDER IN DELHI, COUNTRY'S CAPITAL?
                        5. WHY ANY OF THE EXECUTIVES NEVER TOOK THE CONCERN TO THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENT AND WHY THE PICTURE WAS NOT CLEARED AT THE VERY FIRST MOMENT, WHEN THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED?

                        Now, please tell me if you are wise person, then why would you go into so much hassles just to get your old connection back when you know you can get a new connection in less than Rs 1000/-. Now, I have paid around Rs 1000/- to you people, still Rs 300/- to be paid as shifting charge and Rs 98/- which just have come for no reason out of nowhere. Please put your donation banks out on every street, religious places, etc, because there I think people won't mind paying. This is a real crime and I would like to take this issue to everywhere I can.

                        Now, after going through this mammooth mail (I still don't trust you people would go through this whole) I would like to see some actions from your side, otherwise I would like to withdraw all services from Airtel in future, be it Mobile, DTH or broadband.

                        Dear Mr. Rakesh Ranga,

                        I think you will not be happy to hear that my issue has been resolved but after it got it to its worst. I would like to hear from you if you know whether the connection has been a shifting request or migration request. Was I using my current number or previous number or whatever it is before only with voice line, have you people given me broadband services as an additional benefit on my current conneciton???????

                        These all are the questions I got from you people during the process of getting my 6-year old connection back which apparently took me 6 months of time. If you still say, this is how you resolve the issues, then I really apologize to all of you at Airtel that I raised such issue and will promise or can take swear that in my future I won't even try to switch for any other airtel service.

                        I wish somebody could have treated this case much better and could have answered by queries. I did get calls one or two times, but the person says I will call you back, and probably leave the Airtel or the state after that, so that he won't have to call me back.

                        If you wish to talk to me, do call me before 12 noon, or after 7:30 in the evening time, but don't write these good-looking mails unless you confirm the matter has been resolved or not.

                          I refer to the prepaid number which my Family had for more than 11 years. telephone number 0-[protected]- and this being a easy to remember number has been taken away from us without any notification and has been disconnected by airtel . I have visited airtel customer relationship centre. made numerous phone calls and they said they have no idea why this number has been stopped. and now recently I have been told by the local relationship centre that this has been in the market for any new customer may be because this number should be the one which should be given to someone with VIP personality.
                          This is ridiculous and customer has no right to do anything and the mobile companies like AIRTEL are doing what they want to do whenever they want to do and customer has got no right to know or do anything.

                          I am really sad and disappointed with this.

                          I totally agree, Under no law Airtel can deactivate a number without notification. I am also a grieved party wherein my more than 10year old connection has been deactivated by Airtel Delhi. Surprisingly on August 18, 2011 a successful recharge is done for Rs. 444 and on Aug 19, 2011 Airtel without notification deactivates the number and very formally infoming me that amount has been forfeited. Can anyone advise me where to lodge complaint both to receive my money and panelty for harrasement.

                                I received a sms on my airtel no [protected] on 3 6 2011 from airtel no 543211 stating that I have opted for activation of hello tune and a sum of Rs 30/- have been charged fot the same. I was surprised to go through the sms as I had never opted for the hello tune, which can be verified from the out going call log of my phone. I immediately contacted customer care executive on airtel no [protected], and asked them to immediately deactivate the hello tune on my phone.However, the executive was not able to satisfy me how and why hello tune was activated on my phone without my consent or knowlege and why a sum of Rs 30/- was deducted from my pre paid balance.                                 I am using airtel prepaid number. There are many charged services that are getting activated without my knowledge. Whenever I call to customer care to know about it, they tell you have activated some service from airtel site.

                                If I would activate I definately know about it. After complaint they are just deactivating the service. What about the money that got educted. I called to customer care 3 times. After that they raised the complaint, but they talked as if they are ruling the network and can do anything. If they wish they will talk and if not willing they disconnect the call. Last call i did the executive told she will transfer the call to supervisor, i was put on hold for 4-5 mins and after that the call got disconnected.

                                    Problem: Even after many reminders to AIRTEL customer care there is no correct information and they don’t know what to do.
                                    Exchange mails between me and AIRTEL can be provided if you required and ask them to tell exact date for resolving porting out issue.

                                      Bharti Airtel Limited — Bills issue

                                      I have been using Airtel's services for more than 6 years but never experienced such a pathetic support which I experienced this year from customer support, nodal and appellate - the topmost authority to resolve customer issues. My account number is: 11666841. I have switched from one plan to another number of times in the past and it happened smoothly but the last migration I requested about 4-5 months ago is yet to be updated in Airtel's database.

                                      I migrated from higher amount plan to a lower amount plan in perhaps March this year. Got a confirmation call and email as well with in few days of the request logged but the subsequent bills until today have been generated as per the plan of their choice with minimum of Rs. 300 more than the valid amount. Apart from this, they are every month adding charges of the services which I never subscribed for or used. I have been paying the valid amount of the bills, generated by Airtel, before due date but they are adding late payment charges also. First I logged complaint with customer care and than with the nodal but was of no use. Finally contacted appellate authority which after repeated reminders woke up and assured to fix this issue asap. To my surprise, the bill generated was again incorrect even after the confirmation phone call and email from appellate officer. Anyone who is reading this, please can share the personal email ids of few Senior officers in Airtel for me to forward this case as the topmost people I know have failed to fix this after their shallow promises.

                                      last week I even warned them to look in to this again to resolve else I would put the case on various forums, they just ignored it. It looks they are not bothered like any typical indian sarkaari company employees...

                                      Thanks for acknowledging this and is good to know that you are trying to resolve the matter pending for more than 4 months and is still lying unresolved. What is Airtel presence? I have never heard about this department.

                                      Anyone reading this, Please THInk THOUSAnd times before subscrining to any services from Airtel. I have written/ spoken to Airtel executives dozen of times, have paid more than Rs. 1000 (have proofs) the valid bills in the last three months but the issue is still lying resolved even after the intervention of Appellate authority. Do not know how many mails or phone calls are required to end this ordeal !!!

                                        Hi I am nikhil using airtel no [protected] using prepaid service from last 5 years.

                                        Due to airtel poor customer care services and unwanted dedutions I was porting to other operator , i.e.From airtel to vodafone and I had already paid the porting charges.

                                        On[protected] I got a call from Airtel customer care that will provide me a plan i.e. 1 paise/6 sec Airtel-Airel & 1 paise/2 sec others plan, free of charge without any Deductuion for 6 months and 50rs talktime, to activate above plan I was asked to cancel my porting by sending an sms Which I did and i was told my new service will be activated within 24 hours.

                                        My current plan was per sec deduction which is 1 paise/sec for all local and std calls .
                                        On[protected] I received 50 rs balance but my prepaid plan was changed to some thing else i.e. 60paise /min for local calls, so now if I talk for 10 sec it charges me 60 paise previously for which I was charged .10 paise. On[protected] I had called customer care and registered my complaint Complaint no : [protected] & the person told me it will be solved & the difference balance will be credited in my account on[protected] till 11 a.m. but still I am facing the same problem after that I complainted thrice but still facing the same problem.

                                        I mailed the complaint to nodal officer but from there i didnt received any respone .I am really disappointed due to such problems created by airtel and not full filling the Commitment made by Airtel. I hope I will be heard here and my problem will be solved as soon as possible,

                                        AirTel — Why charge extra for payment by credit card

                                        I went to Airtel shop in Pune the other day to buy USB modem. The cost was Rs 3000. I wanted to pay by credit card. I was told that there will be an extra charge of 2.5 % for paying by credit card. Why ? Why should there be any extra charge for paying by credit card. What are the customer rights in this respect ?

                                        My Credit Card have been charged thrice and when contacted for refund of excess amount...not done till date, contacted nodal officer ANAND and appelet andhra VAISHNAVI for Airtel, informed me that the amount have been adjusted in this month bill and it will be due next month, I always make the payment before due date. all the detail have been given below in mail trail, they are harreshing the customer and these office appointed by the TRAI to resolve customers greviance, instead of that working in behast of these telecom company as poppet of them and challenging to go to TRAI or Consumer Forum to resolve the problem,
                                        I need that my problem will be taken care and resolve ASAP.

                                        i have to register one more complaint. On[protected] i had recharged sms pack of 24 rs, i received an confirmation sms my sms pack has been activates succesfully, For first few sms I was not charged but then I was charged 1 Rs for each sms, I registered compliant at customer care they told its a tecnical fault and my problem will be solved soon but still my problem is not solved and I am being charged 1 rs for each sms.

                                        I again called customer care he told process is going on and u dont send sms for few days.So now I stop sending sms ultimately I cannot not use the service for which I had already paid and its really a waste of money. I am really fed up of airtel due to problems created by them and I have to suffer it for no reasons.
                                        I Yogesh Choudhari using Airtel Mobile [protected] from last 5 year regularly. from 1st december 2011 Airtel has changed my plan whithout giving any notice. NOW Airtel C. Care is not taking any complaint on 198. and 121 is saying we have not available your last plan. I have taken Advice from consumer helpline. they advice me to send legal notice to Airtel. if airtel mobile doesnt keep continue my old plan. i can take legal action on Airtel.

                                        My mobile no is [protected]. I have been using Airtel since last 5 or 6 years. On 27 April my prepaid card validity was expired. after that on 28 April i had recharged for Rs.110 for 1 year validity. From that time my prepaid plan sudden got changed and even i did not have got 1 year validity also.

                                        My pervious Plan -
                                        Airtel - Airtel 10 paise anytime
                                        Airtel - Other 40 paise anytime
                                        STD 60 paise anytime

                                        SMS -

                                        Airtel -Airtel 10 paise
                                        Airtel - other 20 paise


                                        I have called customer care asking about plan change, Their answer is like you are failed to recharge before expiry date thats why your plan got changed and your previous plan is cancelled and there is no way to resume the previous plan again.

                                        As my previous plan is cancelled, though daily Rs.1 is getting deducted from balance.

                                        What kind of Rule is this that you need to recharge before expiry date even your card validity is not expired. If not then your plan will get cancelled.

                                        I want to resume to my previous plan. For this plan only I am not switching to postpaid or any other service Provider.
                                        I have not received any SMS or Call about plan change.
                                        Please look into this matter and Resume my previous plan.
                                        Please resolve this as soon as possible.
