AIRTEL BROADBAND - They changed my plan forcefully to some fair usage policy of 20 GB per month.

My original plan was 512 KBPS Day and 1 MPPS NIGHT UNLIMITED.

AIRTEL is a THIEF and SUNIL MITTAL SAALA HARAAMI MAARWADI MAADARCHOD !!

Even i had the problem with airtel prepaid network.Ihad just cal the airtel Cc No 543216 they had deducted balance frm my acct.
You looks so uneducated person on the world..
Did they put you in to jail and gave third degree tretment as you are telling they forced you change the plan.
If you dont know how much you are using the broadband then you need to chek daily how much internet or download you are doing. you dont have comman sence and making a complaints on SUNIL mittal.
first be educate as you have internet and next go with the other people suggestion. you alway have rights to change the plan or broad band service provider. use you brains...

No wonder, AIRTEL is loosing its customers in MOBILE space !! Wahaan bhi tum prepaid mein VAS activate karke logon ke paise churate ho !!

BROADBAND mein sirf isliye tike ho, kyunki, there is no competition.

I wan't to see AIRTEK wiped out by the public.

I have been asking for disconnection since 30th of April 2011 so far no luck. I had an unlimited plan five years ago @799/- per month, now monthly bill has reached Rs 1250/-. Six months ago there was no 15gb cap on download. Airtel is most inefficient & mismanaged. They are getting what they deserve. please read all the posts, its a wake up call, get better people to work for you. Donkeys can only bray.

    I'm siddhartha kant.mera mo no [protected]airtel prepaid hai . 30 april ko maine rupees 125 ka recharge karaya airtel to airtel 60,000 second ke liye.3 april ko jab maine balance chek kiya to rupees 00 tha. kewal 12 minute ki call ki thi.custmer care per complain ki to 4 april se custmer care call bhi band kar di gayi.9 april ko jab sanjay place agra main airtel shop per complain ki to koi responce nahi mila.12 april ko airtel company se mo no-[protected] se call mere no per ki gai to kaha gaya ki apke 125 rupees activate kar diye gaye hai. jab balance chek kiya toh 00 tha.

      My No is [protected] and i didnt paid the bill for couple of months and now the collection executive started calling and i said i want to settle the amt

      Total amt : 5500

      Amt settled : 3500

      So i said i ill pay 3500 and they told that i ill get the settle ment letter only after the payment made ... on 29th April i made payment and i have receipt wit me now the problem starts.. Next day onwards while i tried to call the executive they are saying invalid or wrong no or saying different name ... 2 days back they started harrsing my contacts ... which is totally unfair and i m sure its against the TRAI where they don't have rights to access my personal contacts.

      I have complained to Nodal department -- Nasima (Name of the person ) I did twice but action is nill

      Can some on do needful ??

        I had used easymobilerecharge website to recharge my two prepaid mobile numbers for Rs.200 each. Instead of talk time, Airtel has given me intrnet/ value added facilities for Rs.200 which can only be used in 3G mode. I donot have 3G facility and handset which supports 3G. Moreover I am interested in talk time and nt internet etc. I called Airtel several times to change the recharge to talktime but they refused. When I wrote to easymobilerecharge people, they have clearly stated that Airtel has given me this package.

        I request airtel to convert the package into talktime.

        The mail from easymobilerecharge is as below:

        Dear Seema
        Your recharge for Rs. 200 was successfully processed from our end.

        We only do the recharge and whatever the benefits available on the
        recharge are given to customer by the operator.
        We have also placed the check box while placing the order that you
        have confirmed with the operator customer care before placing the
        order.

        This is all because we don't provide the talktime/ special benefits.
        It is decided by the operator. Also operators often change their
        plans. So we are unable to update the customers about the changing
        tariff plans.

        You can contact with operator customer care and check with them what
        you had got with your recharge.

          I m airtel prepaid customer my no. [protected].
          I had mail you on 06/05/2011 for help me to stop airtel tv because they deduct 10 Rs. Per day.
          After that airtel servent had called me on 11/05/2011 and she say your airtel tv has been stoped. but they dont deactivate that service and again charge Rs 10.
          Please help me because they niether help me, and nor deactivate this service.

            Yesterday I got my airtel digital TV (HD) installed. I recharged with 1000 and got my customer id i.e [protected]. But channels are not coming , everytime it is telling me to recharge . I have already contacted customer care for 6 times since morning and they are always assuring me that they have refreshed and it will come in 30 min . Already sixteen 30 minutes have passed since first call. I am free irritated as a took...

            I have previously informed Airtel at least 4 times to cancel 3 broadband connections. At my parents, brothers' and my residence.

            I am being continuously harassed and receiving text messages saying "As per your request the services for your airtel fixedline & broadband xxxxxxxx has been resumed"
            Several times, I am unable to pick up phone calls but that does not in any way imply that my number should be resumed. Several times I have indeed picked up calls and confirmed the cancellation but yet they reinstated the connection. In fact I have been paying unknowingly for the last few months via ECS, even though I had informed their sales guy to cancel. Although they have admitted that they can no usage on that, they are not cancelling, let alone give me a refund.

            I have not consented to any request for resumption of services and now I am getting phone calls for payment of bills and their executives are saying that until the bill is paid, they won't resume the disconnection.

            Do not take any Airtel connections for Broadband. There are many fair players out there. Go for Tata.

            I think some people need to get together to file a civil suit because I am seeing a number of such complaints. Anyone interested should comment or get back to me.

            airtel broadband internet fixed line — cancellation of the connection

            I have cancelled my air board band connection (land line No.[protected] through customer care they give me airtel complain no. 3010242, i have regular fellow up with their executive they also confirm me through phone call my connection was disconnected, but after 1 months they send me one bill,then i contact to customer care they told me we have not received any request on such number.They cheated me they asked me first you have to pay 4 months bill then we shall think to consider your request. I would also like to highlight that one of there representative Mr. Indresh Yadav ran away by taking my money of Rs. 1000 at the time of connection. I suffered a lot from that and also did not get any support at that time from you. Please help me sir.

            I Agree, AIRTEL has a log history of cheating people and they will continue to do so. I have been using Airtelbroadband fixed line since last 3 years they seem find new ways to grab your money.
            I had requested for cancellation of fixed line and broadband connection since last 2 days, I was asked to visit the local office and placed my cancellation request and even called 121 (which is not free) and requested cancellation but nobody seems to be bothered.
            It is better that I stop paying them.
            NEVER NEVER TRUST AIRTEL,

              I wold like to tell all of you that airtel has the worst website in terms of checking bills online..
              The payment option always seem to work.. but the bill guide and account information dont work 9 out of 10 times..
              Even the Airtel customer care people told that they could not check my bill because there applications were running very slow and they needed atleast 12 hours to check it..

              The only thing the i would want to suggest Mr. Mittal is that your company makes billions in profits.. Please care to spend a substantial amount on your website and designers if you want to give the option of online payment...

              Airtel broadband speeds are good and stable.

              The problem is with the "my airtel" website. The design and usability sucks. Login is difficult due to traffic, payment errors all the time. How can a private telecom company sport such a slow website. Their executives call all the time for payment, its frustrating.

              Any senior exec in airtel watching this space?
              Yeah, I agree. This site is down most of the time. Even IRCTC is better then this site.
              Worst website by any service provider i have ever seen.
              Even govt. websites are better then this.
              It took more then 1hr for login & putting recharge for my dth. connection.

                I was bought Airtel Prepaid connection ([protected]) on 18-March-2010 from Sagar Stationery Bashyam circle , Sadashiva Nagar, Bangalore-80.

                When i was bought they collected from me Address proof and Photo id proof ( Employee letter pad & Voter id with Tamilnadu address) with Friend No written in it.

                26-March-2011 Evening they called and verified they asked the addresses and said verification was over.

                The Next Day 27th-March-2011 evening they sent sms says that verification failure and provide the documents to Airtel relationship centre again. They Cut my outgoing calls.

                Then i tried to the customer care 121 they said my document i not reached and i said i got the verification call and all. Even then they said to produce the document again, I said whatever the document provided i true and i asked.


                One time they saying verification failure and other time documents not submitted then i catch the fellow who sold the sim card they said it has been submitted in Malleswaram Airtel relationship centre.


                I demanded if verification fails say what is fault i have provided ( As per my knowledge they didn't verified) . Then one time they said document not reach . Then i asked with out reached the document how i got a call for verification after a week of got the connection ?

                The Airtel wants to twist the problem and wants their customers to run behind for their executives not working properly ..


                Finally i submitted the same documents and got the new connection from AIRCEL . Their executives came personally to my office and residences and verified now the connections is live without any troubled me. Then why this very big networks fellows doesn't doing their formalities.

                I have all the mails return to the airtel customer care is with me and i got the bill from to whom i am purchased the Sim card too.

                Kindly give the direction to get back to my all the money back from the AIRTEL.

                  not changing my connection from Corporate to Individual Account

                  I had word with Airtel customer support on 02 May,2011 for changing my corporate mobile number to individual number, since i left that company (ibibo Web Pvt. Ltd.) long back.

                  They had told me "You need to get a mail sent from your last company official email ID to [protected]@airtel.in"

                  I gave the request of my Airtel for porting to vodafone vide porting no. AD713697 with expiry dt. 25/04/2011. However, it was rejected by Airtel without informing me any reason. I must also mention the fact that all my dues were clear on this date.

                  I again gave the new porting request to them vide porting code AD683184. I even made an excess payment of Rs. 100 so that they could not reject it saying the balance was not clear. I could have paid more, but their online system does not allow me to pay more than my current dues.

                  Airtel called me yesterday (after 15 days of my porting request), saying that my current dues were Rs. 400. I told them I have no problem in making the payment, but when I made the upfront payment of Rs. 100, they should have done the porting that day itself. It is obvious that dues will increase with passage of time, and I cannot keep making the payments everyday. (Their system just doesn't allow me to make excess payment!!). Further, they give me petite reason of Rs. 400 as excuse, when my credit limit by them is Rs. 6,900.

                  Anyways, I made the payment of Rs. 400 online immediately as I did not want to fight with their stupid customer service. I actually tried making payment of Rs. 500, but their online system again does not allow it!!

                  Still, Till today, the porting has not been done. Neither Airtel, nor Vodafone are willing to inform me the reason. All my mails to their CC dept. are unreplied.

                  Just a quick information for my reason for porting: I have registered many complaints since past 4 years to Airtel regarding network problem in my area. I had to even approach their Appellat authority for this. Finally, in their mail dated 28/08/2010 (in reply to my service request no.[protected], they informed me that it wasn’t possible to rectify the situation in my area.

                  To say the least, it is pathetic service from Airtel. They cannot give proper service, then they accept their mistake and say they cannot improve their network, and then when I want to use the MNP for better network, they are not willing to port me out. Don't know what they actually want from me, except from harassing me!!

                  I have written you the mail with my contact no. However, note further what Airtel is doing to me:

                  After writing atleast 6 more mails to your [protected]@in.airtel.com, they called me yesterday, and again informed me that my unbilled balance was around Rs. 563, and that I should make another payment of Rs. 63 so that Airtel could do the porting. Are you guys playing games with me? First, I made a payment of Rs. 100 for unbilled amount, then you called me again to make payment of Rs. 400, now again you are asking me to clear the unbilled amount of Rs. 63!! How many time am I supposed to make payments to you??

                  Anyways, I have made one more payment of Rs. 150 to you. YOU GUYS ARE NOW TRYING TO HARRASSING ME ON THIS MATTER! You are delaying the MNP process, and then coming back to me every 3rd day asking me to make more payment. Either you think I am a thief who will run away with your Rs. 63, or plain and simply, you are trying to harass me by first not improving your services, and secondly not porting out my no. sine past 20 days.
                  Rakesh, it clearly shows how irresponsible and insensitive you are towards the customers! I have not only replied to your comment on the above thread, but also mailed you with my complete contact details and details of complaint in my mail dated 15/05/2011 to [protected]@in.airtel.com. You never called me back, but instead feel the issue has been resolved! Funny, isn't it...

                  If you cannot hear me back now on an internet public platform, you can never ever hear me back!

                    oohhhhh i am back again, not on Airtel Prepaid - this time on Airtel Digital TV.......
                    oooh bulzhs shat Airtel ... all areas are like frod and cheat...

                    i just recharged my Digital TV account with 2595 to activate South Economy sportz plan to get 166 channels per Year. but i am able to see only 142 channels... i dont understand y this happening and called to customer care ... one guy dont have proper information and he disconnected (he said his name was Ganesh, in Telugu) call and called again and same experiance.... some how after several attempts i got chance to talk to the voice support guy and he said, my connection regestered in satilite 1, so that i am not getting all the channels and he has logged a complaint to change my connection to satilite 2 ( the complient #: 7876862.

                    also while connecting the call they saying that "you will get 2 months free by recharging for 12 months" - but the CS guy said that it is only 45 days -- still i am in confusion that can i get atleast a month free .. :)

                      I have taken the airtel connection with the plan, Bill Plan Charge Future Value 299 Plan. As per this plan for the first month 1GB data GPRS is free. This connection was activated on 23/04/2011. But with in 2 days on 25/04/2011 the unbilled amount reached more than Rs.2200 due to the GPRS. My mobile is an iphone and some applications will connect GPRS without my knowledge. So on 26/04/2011 my outgoing was disconnected reasoning I have crossed my credit limit and when I contacted customer care they said I have to pay Rs.800 to reactivate my outgoing. So I paid it on 26/04/2011 Rs.800 to activate. Then I contacted to customer care to deactivate GPRS on 26/04/2011 since I couldn’t track the usage of GPRS. Customer care people deactivated GPRS without informing that if I deactivate in middle then it would be prorate basis and they didn’t have share any information mentioning we can give clear picture after the bill is generated. But now the bill is generated and the total amount comes to Rs.1436.35. Now I wanted a waiver for the GPRS amount for which as per my plan of 1 GB usage and not to burden the customers with wrong commitments. I have attached the bill plan details. Please do the needful.

                      Still the issue is not resoved, the billing issue with GPRS still exists in my airtel number [protected]. Already many complaint numbers available. Service Request number 37373260. Please resolve this problem at the earliest.

                        We submit complain about not working set top box till[protected]. No action taken by company for repairing it.I call in service center of varanasi airtel company and many times of airtel engineer but no action taken by them.I daily call in service center not in one time several time but they say - Mam! today i haven't any engineer we send engineer tomorrow. But tomorrow is never come.I submit several times complain but in result no action taken by them. Airtel company consumer service is very bad......

                          The SIM is alerted to me (Sanghamitra Swain) for life time and it was valid 20 years from date of purchase. Since that day onwards I am using same number and mentioned in my CVs, Friends for meeting and offical purpose. Now the same SIM was alerted to some one by the Airtel Company. I am not confirm weather the Company alert that one to some body or the person using my SIM? Customer care says we will not say the name of the owner of [protected]. How come it is possible? I am the owner of this SIM without my permission or any written document how they alert my Life time SIM to other person. Its the right of the Life time SIM user that the SIM should be belong to the owner upto 20 Years. Only after 20 Years the owner may want to continue the same number ,If only the owner don’t wont to continue the number the company has right to reprocess (recycled) the SIM and alert to other person. But in my case the SIM was valid till 2015. Before 2015 how the company dare to reprocess (recycled) the SIM and alerted to other person. Its mean the person has no value before the company.

                            This is regarding my Airtel broadband connection with Tel no: [protected](Bangalore). A connection registered in the name of my wife Arathi Prabhu.

                            Just want highlight to what an extent representatives of Airtel can stoop down to.

                            We stopped using this connection by the end of 2010 after we received a bill which was 3times more than our regular usage. The bill had a charge of 1300/- odd amount which I disputed and had multiple compliants to a pathetic airtel customer care which was never resolved. In the mean time I started receiving multiple calls from airtel asking us to make the payment and all the calls did have a similar pattren would start by they asking to make the payment and I would say that there was a charge which was disputed and the minute that was resolved I would make the payment.

                            Disgusted by this ordeal requested airtel to discconect the connection for which they said that untill and unless the payment is made it cannot be cancelled.
                            Then during mid of February a representative of Airtel came by saying that he would need to take the instrument and the modem for which did provide a acknowledgement. After which there was no other calls from any of the airtel representatives.

                            All of a sudden on the 11th of May 2011 I received a call from Rajeev Singh identifying himself as a section chief at a court in Delhi and they had sent 3 summons which we never received and asked us to be there in the Delhi court in 30 mins. If not there would be a "Non Bailable warrant" issued against my wife's name and there would be a fine of 53,000 to be paid when asked what was the call about he directed me to CK Oberoi who was an advocate at the court. He said that there were 3 summons that were sent (which I was not aware of) and also then said that this was regarding our airtel broadband connection payment which was due. He said that best way is a out of court settlement. He sugessted that we make the outstanding payment in the next 30 mins and provide him with the receipt number so that he could withdraw the case against my wife.

                            By this time I was completely shaken by this, went out immediately and made a payment at one of the Airtel centers for the amount due and called both these gentlemen back and provided the receipt number to which they said that there was nothing to worry now and they would take care of things.

                            One thing that suprised me was how did I miss those 3 summons; we live an apartment where there is a 24X7 security and they would not miss thrice. Out of sheer curiousity I just googled CK oberoi and airtel and walla! the story unfolded.
                            There were a whole set of people who had gone through the same experience.

                            I am sure airtel's SPINELESS customer service team will not resolve this. I am so happy that I am not associated with airtel anymore.

I am currently trying to screw their collections and make sure others dont suffer this in future, i really dont mind investing the money or time to ensure they put an end to this.                             I would encourage all people who face this to directly file a police complaint immediately and take legal action, only way to stop Airtel from their dirty, cheap and criminal pranks. While filing the police complaint also include names of Collection Heads so that they are called upon too.
                            Rajesh Ranga, i would recommend you not post below every complaint saying the issue has been sorted as i just spoke to Nagaraj and he said his case has not been solved and the current state is that Airtel still robbed him and hasnt got his money back.

                            If you are an airtel employee in collections i would recommend you put these people onto the Head of Collections directly and sort their issues out, people have already gone through enough trauma. Incase you dont have contacts of people within your own company, let me know and i'll give them to you so that people dont get harassed anymore. Please understand that what your collections team is doing is criminal, cheap and dirty.

                              My mobile number is [protected] ,My mobile connection got barred due to address verification , But i have submitted my proof and I dint get my connection still . I called airtel customer care more than 5 times but they dint respond well and went to airtel outlet ( T.Nagar,Chennai ) and had given complaint about my connection but they are not even considering customers well .. Useless executives are playing games in facebook through internet..Hereafter i wont believe in airtel service and there are lot of services which are giving good response to customers with good offers ... am using airtel broadband , now am going to relieve from it and going to give good broadband connection which will have good customer service... "worst service I have ever faced" Wasted lot of money too

                                My no. is [protected] .From last 10 days i have been charge Rs2/day. I called customer care about this matter . They told me that i have subscribe two services( i don't remember subscribing them). I am not able to unsubscribe them and for last two days i am trying to reach customer care,but the call is being disconnected.Hope so after this complain these two services would be deactivated.

                                Airtel connection so many times reduce money from my balance and send me message that you have opted for this and that even when i am not using my mobile. When i called cutomercare they are not responding .
                                Mr Rakesh Ranga...now its more than 15 days and your customer care is useless . It never connects to the executive.Can you please see into matter as quickly as possible otherwise I am planning to switch to some other connected .

                                  I have the Airtel DTH Connection with Customer ID [protected]. There is signal issue from last 7 days, Not getting the signal for hours and hours. So calling up Customer Support 12150 from last 7 days, I almost made 33 calls to this customer support .Every time they will register new complaint for the same problem and will be telling problem will be resolved within 3:30 PM tomorrow. No body turned from last days to resolve the problem. Even they are disconnecting my phone.They are giving fake phone numbers with the complaint registartion number, Which they will messge to our Mobiles. When tried to contact local manager here in Mangalore (Phone No : [protected]), they are also telling technician is not avialable and even they are disconneting my call. This is the once of the WORST and HOPLESS Servcie ever i saw. They are event dedcuting amount from my account daily for the servcie which is not resloved Please tell me what should i do for this.

                                  My DTH service developed a snag on[protected]. upon visit by engineer i was told that set top box is faulty and he took away the same and told that it will be replaced. since, then i am being told everyday that we have no set top boxes available and wait. the wait has been very unpleasant. calling the customercare delay without any positive response from their side. i want to get rid of this DTH service from AIRTEL as they are very poor in after sale service. atleast i should get the refund for the dish and set top box so that i can opt for any better service provider. i have even mailed to [protected]@airtel.in without any response.
                                  I strongly agree with this.your local agency in kollam, kerala, Great Enterprises, Ramankulangara is ridiculing me from the last week by tempting me to provide the airtel HD connection now and then.my regn no.is p-2170.                                   From Monday onwards[protected] I am contacting on Airtel customer care helpline [protected] to solve Technical error but no one providing any solution. I call them for atleast 30Itimes in this week but every time they commit to send engineer on same or next day. But fact is that no one visited my home untill 20-06-11. And after visiting on 20-01-11 they installed old and defected piece of setup box. Again I start calling and registring my call to customer care and also at the same time I am calling there Nodal officer Mr. K Rao. But the responce and service I am getting is entirly unsatisfactory. Even for the period when there is signal problem, airtel deducted my account at the rate of Rs. 9 per day.
                                  One request no. which is registered is 9102873.
                                  Now on today they instaled new setup box again.
                                  For the same i already in advance deposit Rs. 350 in my account. As you see there no delay in y job but the way Airtel giving service is unsatisfactory.

                                  Error code Id B001 in the set up box


                                  I had invested atleast 5 to 6 hrs in talking to solve the problem, it causes some where Rs 10000 to me as my time invested in solving the problem.

                                    2-Mar-11 I had gone out of the country and when I came back in Jan 2011, I
                                    requested for retention of the same number I had earlier in 2009. It took
                                    several weeks to get my old number back ([protected]). Before going abroad, the
                                    connection was in my employer¿s name (Wipro Technologies) but now the
                                    connection is in my name after the reactivation.
                                    The connection I got reactivated already had `Airtel Live' feature already activated
                                    with it. I was not aware about this feature nor about the charges associated
                                    with this feature. The handset I had initially was a basic one without any
                                    advanced features so it did not matter to me that this feature activated.

                                    19-Mar-11 I purchased a smart phone around March 19th 2011. With the help from
                                    the dealer, I got GPRS enabled for my handset. I was told it would be a Rs 98
                                    plan. But still there were some settings which had not been done w.r.t
                                    MobileOffice on the handset. So whenever I tried to access internet, the
                                    access was actually happening through `Airtel Live feature that had been
                                    already been activated in my connection.

                                    19-Mar-11 At that point I was not really aware about various plans and their
                                    variations available with Airtel regarding internet access.


                                    25-Mar-11 As usual I was getting many SMS from customer care about the
                                    approximate unbilled usage. I immediately noticed that the outstanding balance
                                    was increasing by hundreds of rupees on a daily basis. I contacted the customer service on 25th and expressed my concerns.I was told till the bill is generated, they
                                    will be not able to find out why I was getting these SMSs on the heavy bill
                                    amount.

                                    29-Mar-11 I was still getting SMSs on a daily basis with hundreds of rupees increase in the billed amount. I again got really concerned and contacted Airtel Customer support on 29th March and expressed my concerns. They told me to wait till the bill gets generated on 19th of April,
                                    which was 20 days later. They have recorded in their system about this conversation.


                                    9-Apr-11 With help from one of my friends I came to know how to set up the Mobile Office feature properly installed my equipment around 2nd week of April by contacting the customer service.Even after this, Airtel Live feature was still active on my handset.

                                    19-Apr-11 I have got a bill of 3360.32 for the month of March-April 2011

                                    26-Apr-11 I spoke to the customer service and explained my situation.
                                    Customer Service rep told me that I have to pay the entire amount as I
                                    had actually used internet through 'Airtel Live' via WAP_ALL (Web Application Protocol through Airtel Live Login) gateway. I got the Airtel Live feature inactivated from my phone.

                                    27-Apr-11 I escalated the issue to the Nodal officer and Apellate officer at Airtel as per the advice from Customer Service

                                    7-May-11 Apellate office responded back telling that "We wish to inform you that the 2 GB GPRS Free @20KB/30Ps With Rental Rs 98 is active on your Airtel mobile effective 26/03/2011.

                                    As per the above Mobile Internet pack activated applications has to be browsed through Mobile Office only.

                                    We would like to inform you that based on your complaint, we have investigated the possibility of the same. Post the investigation we have found that browsing was done through WAP_ALL (Web Application Protocol through Airtel Live Login) gateway. The GPRS plan offers will not be applicable for browsing through Airtel Live. Hence we would like to inform you that the charges are valid.

                                    There is an out standing amount of Rs. 3283.19/- we request you to make the payment at the earliest."
                                    I had specifically called twice to find out why my unbilled amount was increasing by hundreds of rupeees every day. The customer service were not able to give me proper reasons and failed to advice that internet browsing was not happening through GPRS because Mobile Office settings were incorrect.
                                    They failed to tell me that Airtel Live charges through WAP_ALL gateway was hundreds of rupees for every access unlike 98 Rs for GPRS.

                                    Please advice on my next steps.

                                    [protected] is my airtel no....they are not activating my GPRS service and also not sending me GPRS setting....when i pursue to to custimercare they barred my no....its really hurting a such derogatory action froma company of such repute...

                                    As per your comment I called 121 to find out about the resolution you have mentioned. The customer service representative indicated that as per records the charges levied are still valid.

                                    I would like to inform again that I had called on 26th March and 29th March to find out the reason for escalating bill (unbilled) amount.
                                    • Though 2GB GPRS [protected]@ 20KN/30Ps was activated with Rental Rs 98 on 26/03/2011 on my connection, your customer service representative did not tell me that the browsing was happening through ‘Airtel Live’ and not through GPRS.
                                    • He did not inform me about the charges associated with ‘Airtel Live’.
                                    • He did not inform me on how to properly set the Mobile Office settings on my handset.
                                    • Instead he informed me to wait for another 22 days for the bill to be generated
                                    If your customer service department does not have the necessary technical infrastructure to look and tell why the unbilled amount is increasing day by day, you need to create such an infrastrucure to properly advice the customer on what is going on instead of asking the customer do continue the status quo for another 22 days and further incur costs.
                                    • He informed me that the unbilled amount would show high amount but discounts would be applied later as per the 98Rs GPRS plan.
                                    • I had never requested for ‘Airtel Live’ feature to be enabled on my connection. Without my knowledge Airtel has activated this ‘Airtel Live’ service on my connection.
                                    • So in my opinion all these charges are invalid.
                                    I am curious to know what the TRAI regulations say about the following two aspects:

                                    1. Companies like AirTel enabling 'AirTel Live' kind of 'value added services' on all connections: I believe this kind of value added services are turned ON by default in the customer's connection . If an ignorant customer uses these services accidentally (or thinking that he is using some other service) he will be charged for those services. The customer does have much of say on this since he has used those services. It is his mistake. What does TRAI say about such a revenue model?

                                    2. Companies like AirTel not having complete details about the customer's unbilled amount. Since they don't have necessary technology with them to dig into and find out what is going on current activities on a connection and from which access points the traffic is flowng (in the yet to be billed cycle), they ask the customer to wait till a bill is generated. Till the bill the generated the ignorant customer will continue to make the same mistakes and finally ends up paying a hefty price for the service provider's technical insufficiency/incompetence. What does TRAI regulations say about such situations?
