After repeated deductions I got DND activated on 13/03/2011.But again BOLLYOODFISSION & BIKINIALERT was activated by Airtel Live.On 25 Mar I had toped up with Rs 87 /-. But on 27/03/2011 I found the balance is only Rs 37 /-.Today The Customer Care Representative is telling that I have activated the above services on 25/03/2011 and 26/03/2011.They are not able to tell the time of activation request from me. May I get the money back or I can take proceed to get justice against this fraud.

Airtel prepaid mobile service — Charged Rs.0.30/0.31 continuously

Today, on[protected], I was continuously charged Rs.0.30/0.31 after every few seconds on my prepaid mobile No.[protected]. around 10.00 pm to 11.35 pm.

121 service was not of any help as whenever I was asked to connect to customer care executive there was no response for about 15 time. just toon .. toon.. noise every time.

In emergency, Airtel cannot be contacted on any direct phone or mobile or email.

Poorest show Dear Airtel...

Shame on YOU.

You deducted about 27 rupees for no fault of mine.

What is paining is that you have left no way to contact you except 121 which is 99% is non-functional. Even your website could not lead me to any contact in such an emergency.

Shame on You.. Dear Airtel. I am tacking up this matter with Comsumer Association as well as Ministry of Communication and TRAI.

    Hi ,

    I am facing the same problem with airtel for some time now. My airtel number is[protected].

    I have been using airtel for the past 6 years and I was happy with the service untill this issue has cropped up. I didn't realize that a charge of Rs 199 was being added in my bill every month for some time under the category of DSL Usage.

    I only realized it when i once asked for a change of plan and saw the e-bill. I saw that Rs 398 had been added to the bill as DSL charges and only when i called them up did the customer care tell me that this was for Games on Demand. I told them i never activated it and they said the server shows that the request was sent twice. I live alone and both the times the request was on work day when i could not have sent the request.

    I have called them up so many times in the last 3 months. I sent a mail to the [protected]@indiagames.com and it took one month for them to reply saying games on demand has been deacativated. However I keep getting this DSL usage of sometimes Rs 199 or 398 in my bill every month. I have talked to so many people in airtel and even took the number of the nodal officer in noida but all the times I have called that number no one picks up the phone.

    This is a serious issue it is really frustrating and after 6 years o[censored]sing it I am now thinking of getting the airtel broadband + phone connection disconnected if this does not get resolved.

    Let me provide some more details of the issue that i have described above.

    It seems that this issue has been going on for more than an year. Since my bill amount is usually at least 2 thousand sometimes even upto 5-6 thousand Rs I never noticed this. I didn't realize that 'DSL Usage Charges' were for Games on demand and I didn't realized that i am paying 200 to 400 rs extra in my bill every month for over an year. I have only gone back upto March 2010.. I am sure if i go back I'll find that i have been levied the DSL Charges even further back. And i have NEVER EVER used the Games on demand which I am sure the GOD can confirm as i assume they have the usage pattern o[censored]sers.

    Please find below the bill details and the sequence of events starting March 2010.

    Bill for 18th March 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 398
    Bill for 18th June 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 199
    Bill for 18th July 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 199
    Bill for 18th August 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 199
    Bill for 18th September 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 199

    Bill for 18th November 2010 (Bill No[protected] DSL Charges 398 Rs
    I checked the bill and realized the problem. Called Customer care and only then i realized that DSL Charges are for games on demand which i have never used.

    Again called Customer care - Callback number given.. never recieved call[protected]

    Mail recieved from GOD saying Account Unsubscribed on 22, December, 2010

    No DSL Charges in the bill generated on Janualy 2011 as it seems the accoun deactivation worked. But after that it got activated again.. and i started getting the DSL charges again from the next month.

    Hi Rakesh,

    today i got a call from the customer care that my games on demand has been deactivated. However they were unable to explain to me how it got activated in the first place or willing to comment on anything else.

    Also they did not say anything regarding the charges that they have already levied on me for the past year.

    This is atrocious and totally unacceptable as they don't even tell me how the service got activated in the first place because i never activated it or used any of it.

    The query has NOT been resolved. As i indicated in my comment above all that has been done is that they called me and told me that the games on demand has been deactivated. However they told me NOTHING about the charges that were put in my bill for the past months. I have neither been given any explanation for why the charges were levied nor any details of reversal of charges or commitment that such frivolous charges would not be put in my bill from next time onwards.

    This is just a sham saying queries are being looked into when exactly NOTHING has been done on this,

      I am B Chandrasekar, Karur, Tamilnadu-639001. I am using Airtel prepaid Mobile # [protected]
      I am deducted Rs.99 + Rs.50 + Rs.30 = Rs.179 for Un-wanted reasons by Airtel AD-54321 Serivces.

      Day 1 : 23/03/2011 Deducted for downloading Games Rs. 99 which i had not Requested/Registered/Downloaded any games.

      I Made a compaint to Airtel Customer care but no complaint number was provided but the executive promised to return the amount of Rs.99 back to my mobile account before 25/03/2011. But no amount has been credited back as promised.

      Day 2: 25/03/2011 Deducted Rs.50 which i had not Requested/Registered/Downloaded any services

      Day 3: 26/03/2011 Deducted for renew video_mod services Rs.30 Which i had not Requested/Registered/Downloaded any services.

      Again made a compaint to Airtel Customer care another executive explained about the issue and demanded for a complaint number but no complaint number was provided but the executive promised to return the amount Rs.179 back to my account before 28/03/2011.But no amount has been credited back.


      Totally i lost Rs.179 where my balance got deducted for nothing. This is truly a cheating/money laundering by Bharti Airtel.

      Why there is no verification or authentication service for deducting amount from my prepaid account balance. Who gave the authority to deduct amount from my account and It is happening often recently.

      From one person if airtel is able to steel Rs.179 Rupees think of the amount if it happens to several thousands. This is a serious issue for us and the public.

      I am having Airtel GPRS connection activated with Rs.98 data pack. what is the necessity for me to browse through Airtel live and get paid downloads.

      Are we customers looking crazy for you ?

      I am totally disappointed with airtel amount deduction activities. This is truly a unfaithful action and shame on airtel for such intolerant responses.Airtel is not worried about the customer satisfaction and loses they are facing.

      The lose is so high and the i need to defend mysel[censored]ntil i get my money back.Even i am ready to go for Consumer Court for this issue.

      yes, I am totally agree with you, are we customers looking crazy, even the same thing had happened to me & i lost around Rs 344, even though when i have never used airtel live because i have internet plan of rs 98.These guys are cheater & they are actually sending us reply http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/amount-deduction-c580892.html here, that our complaint has been resolved which is basically an amount never credited to my balance.

      I think We have to get this issue seriously to get our refund back or we all have to go to consumer court to defend ourselves.

        i continue to be appalled at how bad the airtel website is! I asked for a post paid mobile customer care number and the website could not be more bloody confusing! Why the [censored] can't airtel have the help line numbers written on the first Home page of their website instead of stupid god damn pictures!
        and then i call 121 and i told the guy i needed the customer care number of POST PAID AIRTEL and of course the great customer care people that Aitel hires! he gives me the pre paid number!
        why the [censored] is Airtel so bloody incompetent???

        I agree with Diya. The first thing that I find annoying is that there is no complain number on the homepage of airtel website. I have 2 mobile connections. Both are postpaid airtel. Airtel mixes up the bills of these 2 numbers. When I try to write my complain in the feedback section, it just does not submit. The site keeps telling me that the verification code is incorrect. Stupid stupid stupid website. I hate airtel service. And on top of that, I live on 8th floor. No signal on 8th floor. I hate Airtel.

          MY LAND LINE NO [protected]. FREQUENTLY I AM GETTING BLANK CALLS AND SCREEN SHOWS ME NO AS 4049, WHICH IMPLIES THAT ITS CENTREX NO.
          WHEN WE RECEIVE THE PHONE NO BODY SPEAKS AND AFTER FEW SECONDS ITS DISCONNECTED. WHEN WE RING BACK, SOMEBODY RECEIVES THE PHONE AND TELLS THAT NOBODY TRIED, AND I SENSE THAT WHEN I CALL WHO IS RECEIVING IS TELLING FACT, NOW WHAT CAN BE THE TRICK? IS THAT ANYBODY CAN PLAY IN DISPLAY OF THE NO? VERY MUCH DISTURBED THAT FREQUENTLY ITS HAPPENING SINCE PAST 3 TO 4 DAYS.

          JUST NOW ON 28/03/2011, AROUND 5.40PM THIS HAPPENED.

            I purchased an airtel sim and submitted all the documents.My sim was working for about 20 days and after 20 days i was send an SMS saying to resubmit the documents.I resubmitted the documents with the dealer on 22 march 2011 under omr no.1232816.Noe Airtel customer care says that the number cannot work.My balance of abour Rupees 100 is also gone.Cant understand this injustice.Is airtel doing this to increase its revenue.

              Without any complaint 1 digital engineer (Nmae - shibu) came to my home on 26th Mar 2011 and he said that he has to install HD so that i will be able to view more channels. He went to terrace and tried to repair something after which i got signal probem in my digital TV, he said he is not able to repair and he himself called to customer care and raised a complaint (Ref 6331087) and informed me that another engineer will be coming between 4 pm and 5 pm on the same day, when i asked his manager number he provided me a false number.I was waiting till 6 pm then i tried to call to his mobile several times but he didnt pick and later on he switched off his mobile. Then I called to [protected] (This number i got through msg when i raised a complaint with customer care) but a person named Sridhar was not able to understand either english or hindi and forcing me to speak in kannada . I gave the phone to my wife who knows to speak kannada. he start arguing with her and said he is not going to send an engineer today and we have to wait till tomorrow. And he also told her to teach me how to speak with the people. When my wife told that we dint request for any enginner then why did u send engineer to our home. He was very rude and said he is not aware of anything. My wife said will complaint to police for that he replied "you do what ever you want but i wont send the engineer today. Such a worst employee is working for airtel.

I stopped paying my bill as they wont even let me disconnect this phone without the company's NOC, and I am not getting the NOC, as I dont have any details of my employment with the company, it was only for a month, and its been 7 years.

                I am writing this mail to you being deeply dis-satisfied with the kind of
                responses I am getting, seems like there are no human beings but just automatic
                replies to my emails.

                I have already been to a relationship center and they say the same, I will also
                regret loosing this number if a simple request such as a bill plan change can
                not be accomodated, This is clearly a violation of my consumer right, and being

I deposited will on 24.03.2011. but detailed bill hard or soft copy i have not recieved till 28.03.2011. when a demand a copy of bill detail from custum care, he demanded Rs 50/ as a charged of dulicate bill.

                  I can not claim my amount due to same.

                    Respected sir,

                    I purchased a mobile & airtel lifetime prepaid card from 'TELEPHONE SHOPPEE' pune
                    on 07/03/2009 . As i am from nasik i was having only my pan card as an id proof.I was told that if you dont have the relevant documents you can submit your friends valid documents.As per i submitted my friends document on 8/03/2009 took a 100 r.s airtel lifetime card, made a recharge voucher of 60 r.s & paid the activation charge r.s 20.I was told that the card will be activated within 48 hours.I waited for the next five days the card was not activated .So i went to the 'TELEPHONE SHOPPEE' i was told by the incharge over there that yours number has been stuck into the system during activation & will require more 72 hrs to get activated.i waited for more 3 days.Then i again wentr to the 'TELEPHONE SHOPPEE'
                    met the manager & lodged a complaint.The manager told that it will bw activated within a day.He told
                    that there was holiday for 2 days so you should wait.I waited for more 2 days.Still the card was not activated .i contacted the manager he told this time that there was problem with documents, the rejected documents need to be checked.I asked him whether i should give another documents, he told no no there was a minor problem in form filling & he will see to that & told that you need to wait for more 3 days.I was told that the document procedure is over you just have to wait. The card will be definitely activated this time around.I waited for more 3 days.But still the card is not activated.Now whenever i contact him i get some excuses that he is not there or kept mobile for charging & went outside.

                    Despite of providing my contact number during this transit i never received a single call or cooperation from him.I am really frustrated now as my parents are also not able to contact me.
                    I dont know whats the matter with this manager but i now really feel to be fooled by 'AIRTEL services'.

                    I kindly request you to look into this matter & assist me in activating my card as soon as possible.

                          I have a AIRTEL DIGITAL TV HD DTH Service.
                          Almost 10-12 days back I had requested through SMS, email for adding Movies Now HD Channel.
                          I Sent SMS again and again. But they are not adding the channel.
                          Also when I called customer service, 6 times my call disconnected before it reaches any service executive.
                          Finally when connected, executive told me that some engineer they send, their seems a problem in their HD services. Now it's almost a week I am expecting that Engineer.

                          My verdict, AIRTEL DIGITAL TV DTH provides poor customer service and I am going to discontinue their services. I suggest all customers to never choose AIRTEL DTH.

                          I am the victim of same experince from Airtel digital TV ...request all not to choose this service provider
                          Vriti Infocom Pvt. Ltd. have collected Rs 1590 from me to intall Airtel DTH. I came to know from Airtel Digital TV that Vriti is a third party supplier of therr products.

                          When I searched on the the internet about Vriti, I found that millions have already complained about Vriti's cheating and it is a fraud company. They are sending out communications asking for confidential information like A/c No, User Id, Password, Card No, etc.

                          Also, Vriti's e-mails contain links of look-alike websites to mislead customers. So NEVER EVER USE VRITI INFOCOM for any service. Before you get any service through internet, do a thorough search on the internet about fraud companies to avoid disappintments.

                          Taking money from customers by rosy promises and not providing the service is cheating and unethical.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,
                            I Surjya Sen, currently using Airtel number of [protected](customer number-[protected]),have opted for portability of this number to a different netwok/carrier(Tata Docomo).
                            The primary steps for the same has already being initiated and I am suppose to get this number ported to the new carrier by 1st of April,2011.
                            I have already cleared my outstanding Airtel bill amount of Rs.1284.00 on 24th.March,2011(Receipt Number:[protected] for the period from 20th Feb.2011
                            to 19th March,2011.(my billing cycle is from 20th of the month to 19th of next month)
                            As per the equirement,I am suppose to clear all my dues/outstanding with my current carrier/network which is Airtel.So I have enquired with Aittel as regard to what is my current outstanding/billed amount(which is my unbilled amount minus my discounts)from 20th.March,2011 till 31st.March 2011.
                            Since my current unbilled amount shows a balance of Rs.1422.30 and my outstanding is 70 paisa only till date so I wanted Airtel to tell me the exact billed amount for these 10 days,so that there would be no unpaid amount left and my number portability takes place smoothly.
                            A point to be noted here is that, I have activated 'Airtel My Office' GPRS for a charge of Rs.98 from 19th.March,2011,which gives me a data download/usage of 2GB for free.This current unbilled amount of Rs.1422.30 is for that GPRS data usage and hence should be under that free usage of 2GB and so the entire amount be waived.

                            I have asked Airtel to clarify the above with a complete break- up of -my calll charges,my rental and my
                            valueadded service less my discount/waiver - as a part of my outstanding payment, to be paid for the period from 20th. March,2011 to 31st. March,2011.
                            In reply I received a mail from Airtel represented by Ushakiranmai Maddela,Customer Care, who states that Airtel is unable to give me the exact figure/amount that I need to pay them for these ten days and hence would be required to pay the entire unbiled amount of Rs.1422 approx.to make my number portable to a different netwok.Quite contrary to this I received a call today(27th March,2011) from this number-[protected]- wherein Airtel Customer Rep.Prabhu and his senior Nitin assured me that the process of porting my current number to a different carrier, would not be affected by the outstanding balance for these ten days and that the same would be either adjusted with my security deposit money and still if there are any balance left after such adjustment then I can pay it later in the next month when the bill is genetated in my name.

                            So I have again written to Airtel asking them an answer on the following grounds:
                            a) Why should I pay for an unbilled amount,specifically when I have just now cleared my all outstandings on 24th of this month?
                            b) if Airtel is unable to ascertain my billed amount for these 10 days(from 20th to 31st March,2011) then that is a drawback of your system and why should the consumer be made sufferer for that?

                            I think this is a serious matter as though number portability has started in India but there are quite a few issues as ground reality which has not been addressed properly.Morever I guess every carrier/network tries to hold back their own number and prevent the consumer from porting it to a different carrier.At the end,the poor consumer is at the receiving end and is at the mercy of these network operators.

                              I had raised a complaint on 21st Feb 2011 to Airtel via phone on thei number 121 which is chargeable. I spoke to an advisor Surendra who I thought took my complaint of connection issues. My modem was behaving weird, it used to take 15 mins for the connnectivity to happen on my PC once I used to switch on the modem. There was no revert from Airtel till 28th Feb 2011 post which I called up 121 again. This time, the engineer came to my place. Once I explained the issue to him, he was quick to gauge the issue. He quickly changed the adaptor and the connection happened in seconds which was the normal thing.

                              Post which, my bill for Feb 2011 was generated. I was shocked to see a bill of Rs. 2611/- which has never been the case. My bill has never gone beyond Rs 880/- in he past 2 years since I have registered with Airtel.

                              I raised a complaint with Airtel about this on 28th Feb 2011. It took almost 5 days for the first revert. Every revert that I have exceeded my usage and I need to pay my bill.

                              I replied to my mail on many occasions and tried explaining that the usage has exceeded due to the faulty adaptor. Only 3 people use the internet at my place, my sister who uses for reading the news article and my brother uses the same in the night and I use the internet on weekends.

                              On not getting a proper response from the 1st line, I escalated the issue to the Nodal office via phone on 16th March 2011. Here again, it took them 5-6 days to revert to me. Vijayalaxshmi was coordinating with me from the Nodal office.

                              The bill for March 2011 has been generated. The amount now is 1053/-. Note that my billing cycle is from 26th of each month to 25th of the next month. My issue existed since Feb 2011 and it got resolved on 28th Feb 2011.

                              I am looking for a proper resolution. Note that I have already made a payment of Rs. 880/- for the Feb 2011.

                              To add to this, I have been receiving calls from the Airtel dept to make my outstanding payment when my complaint is still open.

                                Dear Sir / Madam,

                                I had availed the services of Airtel Broadband for my internet connection, Customer ID: [protected], for the period February 2010 to July 2010, at my rented apartment in Kothrud, Pune, which was a prepaid connection and total payment was done in advance, Rs.2500=00.

                                Later, in August 2010, we had shifted to Warje, Pune, where Airtel din't had any connection(this is what the reply was provided by Customer Care when asked for transfer of connection), hence had asked the ISP to dicontinue the services.

                                Thereafter no action of discontinuing the link was done and we had received many phone calls from Airtel Customer Care to pay some outstanding bills for the services which were not at all availed.

                                We had been Airtel Mobile customers from last 4 years and have 3 connections and there had been no case where the payment have been defaulted or even delayed.

                                This is the last request to Airtel Customer Care Executives to stop harassing the Customers which have been loyal and not defaulted ever.

                                I am getting sms' from the company asking me to pay an outstanding amount. request the Airtel Executives to check if any calls have been made since February 2010 from Airtel Fixed Landline for Account Number 15557313.
                                This is becuase we never wanted an landline facility, we have requested Airtel engineers to pick up the Telephone set from our place but there was no action taken on this and now we are being constantly chased for the amount for the services never utilised.

                                As per conversation, it was conveyed that the telephone connection was auto-renewed and hence the bill has been the rental that needs to be paid.
                                I would like comment that, the auto renewal was not conveyed to me.

                                Even after loggin a complaint and clarifying with Service Provider that there was no usage of said Landline connection, the company has came from its level. Also above response from Mr. Rakesh Ranjan clearly specifies that the problem has been resolved, which means there is no due on me for Airtel.
                                Yesterday there was a call at 2:50 PM from a so called Advocate Mr. Abhishek Gupta([protected]) from Delhi informing that a case under section 420 was registered in my name in Delhi High Court. He asked me to pay the bill of Rs.2199=00 in 1 hour else he will forward the file to Magistrate, once that is done I will have to attend the court proceedings in Delhi on Monday 31st Oct 2011 with a fine of Rs.22, 000=00. Also I will have to bring 2 bails (jamanati) of Rs.8000=00 each.
                                Since currently I'm undergoing financial as well as mental turnmoil due to my mother's serious illness I decided to pay the amount to avoid any tension and left in search of Airtel Relationship Centre. At 5:30 I reached the ARC to pay the bill all I found was closed shop. This I intimidated to Mr Gupta, then he asked me that it was OK if I pay the bill next day by 12:00 PM.
                                There are many flaws in Company behaviour:
                                1. I have not cheated still a case under section 420 is applied on me (infact its the Company that is fraudulently trying to get money from my pocket).
                                2. I don't understand that 10 times fine has to be paid for any such cases (this seems to be frightening technic so that customer agrees to pay the small amount).
                                3. If it was OK to pay the bill by 12 PM of 29th Oct. 2011 why the person tried to harrass me mentally that it has to be paid on that day itself.

                                I would like bring the attention of government towards company's such harrasments in cases where consumers are not defaulters of any bill payment and are innocent.

                                    I am Rajesh.K using Airtel Prepaid ([protected]) for more than 2 years...

                                    Recently i had a problem and hence i came to know that some one tried to trace

                                    my call logs and message logs from ( 22-March-2011) ..I am sure that some one

                                    has traced my call logs and i just want to know about this inorder to take legal

                                    action againt them .... Because i am getting some unwanted calls from the

                                    anonnymous persons.. pls kindly help me...

                                      Hi All,

                                      I am using airtel mobile office services since two months I am paying Rs.98/- every month for 2GB data ussage. Yestarday I called to customer care for connectivity issue @ 121 as I need to reconnect the connection every 15 minutes to use MO serivce in my mobile Nokia 5233.

                                      CCR take some times to check the all things and said every thing is correct they provide me another MO settings. After that I come to know that now I have been charge for using MO. I checked my data ussage by dailing *#123*10# it shows I have 2760 MB left in my account and the validity till 05th April 11.

                                      Again I called @ 121 and asked them about this problem they told me that I am ussing airtel live but in my phone connection showing Mobile Office. I told them Airtel networks giving airtel live service in mobile office isn't it? They agree that there is some network problem and ready to give refund Rs. 8 which is diducted from my main account within 4hrs. and as of yet I didn't received any refund from Airtel. CCR told me if the same problem will happen again then I need to call from different number so they will solve my problem on call and I said ok.

                                      Again the same problem is happen again so I called again now CCR says again that I have been charged for airtel live service. He did all the necessary steps for this situation like reset all the settings and ask me several times to switch off and reinsert sim then the problem will be solve. For these all conversation I spent Rs.40 but still my problem was not solved. So I diceded to go nearest Airtel branch and the branch people said that I have been charged for airtel live I told them that airtel live settings are not in my phone CCR already removed they check my phone and checked and said now you will not charged for Mobile office I check in front of them again but still the deduction was continuing from my main account balance now the branch people also unable to find out how to resolve this issue and they start to give me silly reason they said you need to go through Google search engine only then you will not be charged. But this statement was unacceptable for me I told them Madam I am ussing Mobile Office since last two month and I never gone through like this way MO service means you can browse or download anything within given data size limits but they are not ready to listen me and start behaving very rude.

                                      At this time I was completely disappointed due to their behavior and unprofessionalism. I decided to give their complaint HOD I asked her name but she was not ready to give her name also. Now my number also has been barred I am unable to call even 198 or 121 Can't understand to whom should I contact.

                                      Now every 15 - 20 sec. I have been charged 30p I had waste Rs. 40 to talk with CCR and till evening 8pm Rs. 48 diduction made from my main account. I spent total Rs. 88/- and still my problem not solved.

                                      My personal suggestion is Airtel should close thier local branch of Bapunagar, Ahmedabad,Gujarat or needs to change the staff. I found the branch people are embarrassing the company.

                                      hello sir,
                                      I m calling airtel from last 3-4 months for getting mobile office setting. Everytime i call they assure me that this time you'l get proper setting but the problem remains same so i m unable to use third party softwares like opera mini Also whenever i call their toll free helpline number call gets disconnected after few seconds & last day i call to chargable helpline number 12118 but i was being kept for waiting for more than 5 minutes then i cut the call so i request you yo solve my problem as early as possible.
