I had bought a Sony Bravia LCD TV on 28th March from M/S Nandilath G-Mart. Along with the TV i had received an activation kit from Airtel Digital TV (HD).After going through the instructions as per the kit. I was given the customer ID [protected] . I was insructed to recharge Rs1000/- through this ID and was promised that the installation will be done within 48 Hours. After they failed to keep their promise i had called the costumer care executive again. They started giving me silly excuses like " Saarry saar the database got corrupted".After contacting the local nearby dealer i was again told to contact the Ernakulam Office of airtel but my calls were not being taken up. I am fed up of this irresponsible attitude of the employees of an MNC. I request the company officials to Hire sensible employees who gives a damn about the customers rather than these Callous Officials.

I have faced similar issue with Airtel DTH (Gurgaon 122001 Haryana) service.
Customer ID - [protected]
Installation was promised immediate.
After calling Airtel sales (Mr Akshya ) he again promised. After no body turned up he smartly handed over number of franchisee who said boys have gone home. Please call tomorrow.
The local service manager Mr rahul when contacted says i will oblidge you tomorrow.
Airtlel needs to improve customer service if it wants to be number one.
I suggest customers not to pay before connection is actually installed.
I request Airtel to refund by booking mount.

^^ What the hell do you mean ...??? I am yet to receive the connection... i have already decided to seek shelter with my local cable operator. All i want is a refund.

I have call to customer care many times but they deniey to lodge to complaint for such type of display and they asking to call me to Asst. AIRTEL DTH when i call there his cell ph swtich off. It is very erriting

    I called my Retailer
    I called Technical Service Head

    But there is no Response Plz do the needfull for me.

      I have been constantly disturbed by promotional calls and promotional
      sms, cricket sms, etc. and loosing huge amount of money in additional to
      mental torture. I contacted customer care centers but in vain. Moreover sms to
      either 121 or START DND to 1909 doesnot work in airtel as I have tested and
      failed.
      Hence, I request you to take up my problem and deactivate promotional
      calls and promotional sms, cricket sms, etc. at the earliest.

        This is to bring to your notice that I had bought an Airtel Digital TV DTH connection last year and was happy with the same. I had just trusted this brand as I was using this mobile service since last 7 years. But, as with TATA SKY and other private DTH operators, true face was shown now which was so frustrating that I had to share my experience here.
        There were some new channels introduced on Airtel for which the dish has to be re-aligned which is known as Satellite Migration. This was not even informed to me by any means but found it on when I called the customer care waiting for almost 20 minutes. It has been almost a week and 5 complaints regarding this issue have been booked with no result. Moreover, yesterday I had a talk with Mr. Abhishek who was the Manager on duty and he as usual gave false acclaims for the 7th time that the engineer would come to my home today. But, same thing continued and they were falsely committing once again.
        It is very disappointing as I did not atleast expect this from Airtel as I have also heard many bad experinces for TATA SKY and RELIANCE BIG DTH. Also had been using DISH TV.
        Please help me if you can in this regards and let us see if these people can understand your language.

          Wow now another bench mark set by so called engineers of Airtel Digital TV. After 5 days one engineer 'Roshan-[protected]' informed me that there will be charges of 100 bucks per visit on no fault of mine. I told him that I will call the Customer Care desk then. I informed the supervisor/dealer Chandan-[protected] about this. He said there is no such charges. Few minutes later I received another call from another engineer Kuldeep Rana-[protected] who insists to come and resolve the pending issue.

          Now to my surprise 'Roshan-[protected]' came to the scene again and call me that he is coming to fix it. It is his good fortune that as I was in office he succeed to collect the charges from one of my family member who was unaware of this.

          Enough is Enough. Now you people should get ready for the real game. Copy of all the emails as well as call details will be forwarded to press.

          The reason to write an email to you is the belief that I would not get any help from your customer care executives.

          Since last 15 days I call up the Toll Free numbers to add CBS Prime as TOP UP. First of all the screen shows send SMS to subscribe..I send sms son't know how many times, received sms back that it will be processed within 48 hours and someone will contact me. But no calls. When I call back the lady thought I am a fool told me it is not available yet and the sms I received from Airtel might be a spam. Later she says the screen showing to add the channel is just an advertisement/publicity for the new channel. I wonder.

          Few days later I received call saying the channel is available now and they will send an engineer. It is already 8 days now. No one turn up and not a call.
          Last night I call up your call centre again as I am receiving error code SM2 in the screen.The representative was so sleepy he said within half an hour it will be ok. Till now in the morning it is the same and not resolved. I didn't slept till 1230 AM. It is harassment. Now it is never easy to connect the call to your call centre. I am trying since 8 in the morning.

          Hope you can help. You can trace all the calls I made to the call centre. My C.ID is [protected].

          I am not waiting for your assistance any more. No need to contact me as I am not attending your calls. It is late. Furthermore, the engineer 'Roshan-[protected]' returned my money and informed that they only do the things as advised by supervisor/company. Was apologetic for his conducts. So need to take any action against him. There is lot for you to do for improvement in Customer Service of Airtel Digital TV. Better you should focus on that.

          As already said earlier, let me clarify it again that I am in no mood to talk to anyone from Airtel Digital TV. What steps have you taken till now from the date the complaint was raised an how can assure you that it will not happen again?
          This is Airtel Digital TV Customer Service Team...hopeless as expected..
          the Customer care is indeed worst, inability to serve the dth industry for sure
          Now a days if i try to connect to an agent at the ADTV toll free, it simply says to SMS CALL to a number and hungs the phone . and no one responds for that SMS too.. they can close the DTH shop immediately with absolutely no service .
          I am having a digital TV and made a complaint to Airtel and they have given me the request number but the same was not forwarded to the dealer/agent when contacted the dealer they say no complaint received when again contacted the airtel custoemr care they given new request number with another feed back. They are making fool of customers and giving them wrong feedback and information. Realy this was never expected from Airtel atleast. Airtel is providing poor and pathetic service to his customers.

          i have just taken a airtel HD DTH connection is January, and till the time i have faced atleast 3 times problem but other two problem has been resolved within 3 days but now this time 5 days has passed but my problem is not resolved. my customer id is [protected]. i got one request no. on 11321151 on 26th aug 2011. and no engineer had come at my home and i got msg that my problem has resolved, and again i make a complain on 27th aug and got r.no. 11351112 and again engineer did not turn up and i got msg on 28th aug that my problem has resolved. i am having tata sky set up box also if by tomorrow my problem will not be solved then i will switchover to tata sky, kindly check in depth of the problem.

            My name is Capt Jhilmil Mukherjee. I took your Airtel digital TV
            connection on 21 March 21, 2011. My customer ID is [protected].

            I am attaching your information pamphlet with this mail which clearly
            shows the English movie channel WB to be a part of English Plus
            Package. As I am entitled to Economy sports package for the first 4
            months which did not had any English channels as I wanted so I
            separately opted for the English Plus package. But then I was not
            given the channel WB. When I called your customer care executive they
            plainly refused any information of WB being a part of this package.

            Please look into this matter and please arrange to provide me all the
            channels that are shown in your pamphlet.

            Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

              I, Priya Chaku, staying at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, had opted for mobile number portability for my number [protected] from vodafone to airtel a month ago which was done after a lot of complaining.
              Today at around noon my sim got blocked without any information and I am unable to make or receive any calls or messages since then. People calling me receive an information saying that this number is out of service. The person from the airtel office said that my number has been rejected.
              I would like to know the reason behind such inconvenience caused yet again and kindly do the needful as soon as possible.

                  i have a problem with recharging RC 61 or RC 59

                  Hi,

                  I am bharath iam facing a hell lot of problem with the airtel coustomer care and the Rc 61 which decreases the pulse rate to Half paise per second.. but from last two days i am being charged with a 1 paise per second. i tried reaching the customer service more that 10 times but i never got a proper response they ask me to be on hold and never get back to the call..

                  With no reason several time my main account balance gets dediucted and i always need to follow up to get it funded back . I am really pissed of with services the airtel provide.. i have no hopes that my issue will get resolved because the coustomer service is really worse.. i got a wonderful experiences with Airtel. if you can help me out .please let me know.

                    dear AIrtel Digital TV management team and all senior managers

                    I am using your digital service HD from Nov 2010 and till today faced many probelms issues as below.

                    1. Many times whenever I switched on TV, STB gives signal that there is no connection available.

                    when I given complaint after many instances of this issue, the customer care person didnot speak good...instead of listening to the complaint he asked me about the payment of Rs 100 towards the payment for the person who will come to check the issue in my home. This is rediculous...

                    Each time Airtel team can create this issue and how come you expect cusotmer to pay for this cause?

                    2. I was trying to get the Movies Now HD channel right from when it is launched and when they announced in newspaper. I called many times to the customer care but they never given information about that channel.

                    Meanwhile I was just braowsing the channels and suddenly I found Movies Now HD on channel No. 198 but it was not working as I did not subscribed it. Hence I called customer care....as usual after waiting for more than 8 - 10 minutes, I got the customer care (?????) person. when I talked about the subscription he said you will get the channel and you have to pay for it. (Again the money first....no other care)
                    I agreed what he said. Then he said our technican will come and adjust the dish then only I can see the channel. Again there is hugh time limit of 72 hrs. Why this 72 hrs time required?

                    He did not answered....So as a poor cusotmer (are you people providing service to us or asking us to beg for the service to you ...I do not understand ...and that too with service tax paid by us)...
                    I asked him to give some specific time span so that we can wait for that so called technician to come and do the minor adjustment (may be of few minutes job)...but he refused ...so my question to all these management people in Airtel digital TV is that...are you poeple expect us to stay in home leaving all our jobs and wait for that technician for any time between 72 hrs......

                    And the main thing is after this given 72 hrs time left also ....nobody has turned to home to that job....so upto how many hrs I need to wait in home for that person to come?

                    So when I called today at 2pm to customer care....again the same process started...there is no records with previous communication...again that customer care person (this time Mr Karthik) said he needs 72 hrs...what the hell this so called standard and mega company airtel is working?

                    We are paying the money for the channel which is free with other dish tv providers and even then why this type of service and behaviour from customer care people?...

                    One most important thing is this customer care people including the one Mr Karthik which I talked till today ...all are very rude...even though we talk very politely and even using our national language Hindi...these people always talk very rude and make us tempted to have quarrel with them...IS there no any training provided to these people for communication...?
                    Today Mr Karthik is asking me the meaning of 48 Hrs ....why is this required?...why these people always insult customer even though we talk politely with them?....

                    Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy

                    I need answer from you senior management and hope you will give that in polite way but with true justification....or else there is no need to stay with digital tv....better our cable guy is.......isn't it?

                    Latest experince while writing this complaint:....I called customer care to know my account number as the SMS service did not worked (When I send SMS BAL to 54325...it replied keyword not defined)...that customer care perosn Mr. Nikhil was so much in hurry that he just read my account number and disconnected the line....I wanted to ask him whether my request for HD channel pack has been initiated so that I can avoid sending this complaint....but again the same bad experince and I have no chioce except giving this complaint here now......

                    AIRTEL DTH HD — Poor response and terrible time management

                    Hi Airtel,
                    I subscribed for Airtel DTH HD connection on 4th December, I have still not received any installation. I spoke hours with your representative on 7th Dec, I even spoke to your escalation lead - Annilia, that is what I understood, My service code request is 4714827 and my Happy code is - 08F6. I was scheduled an installation on Monday, though I paid for the connection on 4th. Agreed due to the weather, I did not expect on Monday, but all I expected was a call to say that, Tuesday, I called to check my my status, no update, They said EOD I will get the installation, I waited on hold for 15 mins, reached your escalation lead, she tried to help me, she placed me on hold in order to get the Engineer for installation, in vain, she promised I will get a call from the local Engg, I did get a call from a lady around 2:30 pm and stated, I will get the installation done around 3:30 pm, IN vain, no one turned up. Its 8th now. I feel I have done a terrible mistake by booking Airtel DTH. I feel i had enough relationship with AIRtel...How will you guys ever fix any issues if i have any in future. I do not truest Airtel any more, I will do a propaganda to every one in my office and to my friends.
                    I need one last help, please help me to surrender my connection. I do not want to install airtel DTH. I will go for other vendors....Please do not delay this as your connection. tell me the procedures to cancel the account.

                    Airtel Digital TV HD — not responding to top up

                    Sir, I have received a sms from Airtel saying that 3 HD channels (Discovery, NGC and Movies all HD for Rs.44) I have responded to their sms and requested to topup the above mentioned channels, the customer care exucutive told me that the technician will come within 48 hrs and do some migration work at the dish fitted on the terrace, no one turned up after 2 days 3rd day I called them up and reminded them, then they sent a technician and he did the migration and told me to inform the customer care about the same I called and informed them they said within 2 hrs I will get the HD channels, I called more than 15 times but in vain every executive will ask the detail and tell me that it is in process and within 30 minutes I will get but even after 2 days I did not get the channel, I wonder being such a respected and reputed organisatin why these cust care exe give wrong information even today I called at 4.15pm the executive by name Ms.Rohini told me that I will be getting the channels at 4.57pm without fail but to my surprise I did not get again at 6 pm I called cust care and one Mr. Srikanth took the call and he told me that within 30 minutes I will get but now the time is 9pm I still did not get.

                    If they are not in a position to give the HD channel then why did they sent sms and why are they fooling me and wasting my precious time to call them so many time to make fool of myself. They can as well tell me that it is not possible now or atleast for courtesy sake they can message me saying that it is still in process then I would not have called. Taking their calls into consideration I promised my child that you can watch NGC and Discovery channels in HD he keeps on bothering me.

                    Recently I renewed for 6 months after that I am planning to shift to some other network which give good service and keep up their word.

                    AirTel — bad service and no response

                    i am using the airtel no [protected] .from last few days i am getting the problem with my mms service. i am unable to send any mms to any person . i have lodged the complaint regarding this in the the customer care center many times . every time i am getting the same response that it will get rectified and phone gets disconnected. every time i am making the same complaint , every time the same response. i am getting fed up with the customer care center with their irresponsible response as i think it is the total wastage of time and money because i have to hold the line for a long time every time i make a call and moreover i have to pay the charges to be on line for a long .kindly look into the matter and solve my issue as soon as possible . i shall be thankful to you for this kind act
                    Same thing is happening with me...can these airtel people resolve my complaint and teach the customer care people for how to speak with customer...You can also listen to the recording if you have for this conversation with these customer care people and me for last three four days...

                    Same situation with me. I have called the customer care on 21/03/2011 for changing the direction of Dish. But till now (05/04/2011), no body attended. what a poor service. Guys keep away from Airtel.

                    Yesterday evening I got call from Mr Arun (may be from your team - Location Delhi) in the evening at around 4pm. Again I explained everything to him regarding my experince with airtel so far...he told me everything has been fixed for you to see the new required channels and he promised me that by yesterday evening I will be able to see the new channels...but alas...I tried checking upto 11.30pm yesterday and again in the morning today (7th Apr 2011) but the situation is same till today.

                    I think the complaint in this forum also not been taken care by Airtel...

                    My question to all Indian citizen is who should we contact to control these types of service providers for whom we are the people who are paying service taxes...for their poor services...

                    Atlast I got the HD channels activated for Airtel...really the moment for celebration...

                    I am thankful to Mr. Arun from Delhi for helping me out for this...
                    Yes.. it is very bad customercare... really fed up with the service.
                    Account Department also very bad.. i have paid Rs3150/- for new connection but they have rechared with only Rs1400 and asking for remaining amount.. i contacted customercare around 50 times but no proper response/details.Still i have not got the connection..really i frustrated... Anyone suggest me how should i take an action as this should not be repeated for others.

                    I have the same bitter experience with customer service.
                    I have an Airtel HD connection . For the past 10 days, I am facing serious audio problems. Picture is coming but sound is not coming.
                    After switching off the airtel set top box 6 to 7 times, the sound again comes.

                    For the cause, I have logged complains 3 times to customer care with the following complain nos.:

                    1. 10877992.

                    2. 10786950.

                    3. No. forgotten.

                    The customer care executives ensured to send engineers for me, but all have bluffed like anything.
                    One customer care executive advised me to talk to one dealer named, V.R. Enterprises, Barbil, Orissa.
                    I went to their office 02 times, but they are also not sending engineers to me .

                    Now, I am fed up with this bussiness of following up for services.
                    I need you intervention.
                    If you are incapable of providing services, please let me know.
                    I will throw out my airtel connection and will make a wide publicity of this vicious circle I went through with Airtel .

                      TODAY I GOT A CALL ON MY ALTERNATE NUMBER THAT THERE IS SOME DUE OF RS 565/- ON [protected]. I AM UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS CAN OCCUR? HOW THE COMPANY IS WORKING?
                      I REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY INTERVENE.. AS I AM VERY MUCH HARRASSED FROM THE ATTITUDE & ALTIITUDE OF AIRTEL. ITS NOT MY FAULT, I HAD UNDERGONE THE CLOSURE REQUIREMENTS AND MADE SEVERAL REQUESTS TO STAFF MEMBER ATTENDING THAT MAKE SURE THE CONNECTION SHUD BE CLOSED. WHAT CUSTOMER CARE PEOPLE DO ?                       Dear Sir,
                      With regards to the above subject I am compelled to complain against the above mentioned mobile service provider AIRTEL because they are unnecessarily calling me and asking me for details of some Praveen Odnam who is unknown to me. Their argument is that he has given my BSNL mobile no:[protected].
                      They had earlier called me on 12/04/10 twice and harassed me to give details of this unknown Praveen Odnam or face legal action since he has given my above mentioned mobile no. I argued with them over the phone saying that I don't know that person at all.
                      Then immediately they had the gumption to send me a SMS message which I have saved in my mobile set. The details of the SMS goes as belove:

                        I got airtel digital tv before 15 month ago and stop to use tha before 40 days ago and since then I constantly have torchouring calls and msgs from company yet I have talk with a company person about this matter. Plz take an action on such matter and give me relief from this.

                        AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — unnecessary calls and sms

                        i have got airtel tv connection but due to poor services i discontinued recharching.now airtel digital tv very shamefully sending sms and making calls forcing me to recharge the same on my cell no [protected].its very shameful for airtel to disturbing thrice daily.

                          I paid Rs.1590 towards new Airtel Digital TV Installation on the web site of Airtel on 17.03.2011 vide Transaction Number 807533. The money was instantly billed to my credit card. The company helpline advised that the installation would be done within 48 hours. In fact they even told me that this was the fastest way of installation as manual pick up of cash would waste another day in money collection. Thereafter, nobody from Airtel called up or came for installation. I called up the helpline at least five times and everytime was given a different timeline for installation including old worn out phrases like " Your complaint has been escalated to our service team, seniors or maybe even God Almighty! ". Even emails to the customer support has failed to evoke any response.

                          I regret my decision to go for Airtel in spite of so much negative publicity on various consumer forums. Perhaps my decision was biased as I already have two Airtel TV connections and thought that iy would be in order to be a little brand loyal.

                          Bought AIRTEL DTH on 11th Aug
                          The AIRTEL People sent SMS that on 14th Aug 2 PM the installation will be done
                          But nobody turned up
                          I kept on calling airtel people and they kept giving false promises.
                          Till 17th of August 9 AM they have failed to make the installation

                          I Really think the kind of service they have provided is the worst
                          How poor is Airtel DTH Sales and Customer support.

                          I needed a new Airtel DTH connection in New Delhi. Went the Airtel wesight. Click on the buy Option. Enter personnel Details. I got a reply "sorry we cannot process your request, you will be contacted soon" . No body contacted or no message.
                          I sent a sms as per TV ads, got a reply " you will be contaced soon" No communication from them later.
                          I sent a sms 'dealer 011' from my airtel number, as per the website for nearest dealer information. I got a reply " Sorry we are not able to give dealer information"
                          I called custoner support '12150' I got a very funny reply " Plese send sms from another airtel number'
                          If this is the kind of service they proivide even to sell their products I wonder what will be their after sales support.

                          Airtel DTH — delay in installation

                          i have booked for airtel dth on saturday and paid in cash., they told me that it will installed by sunday afternoon but no information tii time..
                          We purchased the airtel Kit and subsequently the kit was installed at home...however when it came to activation of the same the engineers and the sales person (belonging to Airtel) are dilly dallying and saying that the voucher that came along with the Kit is not getting accepted by the system and they need to wait and see the reason behind the same...it has been 2 days already. Why is it that a faulty voucher was issued in the first place..when the voucher was found to be incorrect why was it not replaced immediately...I would like some help on this issue...
                          I bought Digital TV connection through connectindia.in yesterday. after getting my kit details, I called customer service number and asked them for activation and installation of same, they ensured me that they will do the same by today afternoon 12.00 pm and provided me the customer id [protected]. When I called back them again on 12.00 pm they told me that they customer service representative Suhasini forget to take my recharge voucher number and that is the reason same is not being done and again took all recharge voucher and told me that installation will be done by 4.00 pm. I called them at 4.00 pm but they were unable to answer why installation engineer did not reached to my place. they ensured same will be done by 6.00pm. I got call from one number[protected] and this guy told me that installation will be done by 6.30. But later they refused to come for installation saying they don't do installation after 6.00 pm.
                          Nodel Officer don't pick calls, Customer service is off after 7.00 pm and there is no way you can get in touch with someone who is answerable.
                          This is worst experience one can have and surely you can experience it again and again with Airtel.

                          On 4th of June, I have purchases Airtel Digital TV connection through Croma, Bangalore. It is a 12-month Ultra Pack at INR 4350. Airtel received the subscription amount immediately and sent me my customer number, and on logging on to their online portal, I immediately found that the entire amount has been credited. However, till date, regardless of all promises made by Airtel about instant connection, all I have received is my customer number ([protected]). This is after 11 days of purchase, forget 24 hours !!!!!!!!

                          Repeated calls to the customer care center yields no results. Either the calls are never picked up - they will put you on hold for 10-15 minutes and make you listen to junk music and crappy voice messages which go silent every once in a while, making you wonder if the call is at all alive. At other times, numerous promises are made - installation will be done today, tomorrow, and so on... I have never, till date, received the call from the installation engineer / staff.

                          The customer mail does not work. It has been configured to send only automated replies; nobody looks at the mails sent by customers. I had sent an email from my email id: abhishek.[protected]@gmail.com to the id: [protected]@airtel.in on 9th June, and all that I have received is an automated reply. No Customer Service personnel even bothered to call me after the mail.

                          The only complaint number I have been given is 2990286, dated 7th June, which, without any installation, has been termed 'closed'!

                          At this moment, I'm practically clueless whether I will get the installation and connection before the end of the world cup. And all this, after the full money has been paid!!!

                          I hope that an Airtel Official looks at this post and takes suitable action on my connection.

                          I am yet to understand what is the resolution that is being made.

                          I finally got the system up and running - on 18th of June 2010 - a whopping 14 days after purchasing the pack. This, after calling (and every time, fruitlessly) the customer service team, and later, getting hold of installation managers and so on... Finally, some kind Airtel employee took pity on my situation and got this fixed. It reminds me of good old days of sarkari work.

                          Please fix your customer service team. They are absolutely useless, and show complete disrespect to the customer. Every evening, till 18th June, I have spent 1 hour calling the CS number. I've been put on hold by the machine for 10 minutes at a stretch. And your CS people have the audacity to abruptly disconnect the line, after saying 'please put on hold'.

                          How I wish you were in my position, just to understand how frustrating it is to listen to a broken tape record for 15 minutes at a stretch. You also have a nodal officer, who has to be given the ticket number, but your CS people REFUSE and disconnect before giving any ticket number. On calling almost everyday for the last two weeks, all I have got is just one ticket, which also was termed 'resolved' the next day. The CS people promptly disconnect after putting on hold, every time I ask for a reference number. Is it not a punishable offense in your company, or have you specifically instructed your CS team to act this way?

                          I have been an Airtel Postpaid customer (the account is maintained through my salary account by my company) for three years now. My experience with the phone customer service team has been much, much better. It has been an excellent team, and I, in my worst nightmare, had NO IDEA that I would land up in such trouble. I did not even look at competing services, or read through review sites. I should have done that! This should be a WARNING for all prospective customers.

                          Even today, I wanted to call the CS team to inquire about the package details showing online, against my Customer ID. It should show 12 month package, but it is showing 3 month package. I was on hold for 7 minutes, and then I got fed up and disconnected. Believe me, even sarkari services were better. At least, we used to hear somebody on the other side, not useless machines.

                          Have you spent off all your budget on the world cup, and thus running short of people for doing any actual business?

                          I have made a payment of Rs. 999 for installation of Airtel DTH at my home in Gandhi Nagar Ghaziabad on 16.8.2010 and was told that installation will be done within 48 hrs. Now 96 hours have passed and installation has not been done and their representative Mr. Sandeep whose contact number is +91-[protected] does not receive our calls and whenever he picks the call gives false promises. This is highly unprofessional attitude causing monetary as well as mental trauma to my family and myself. I would like strict action to be taken against these people so that they don't ill treat any future customers like they are treating us.
                          I had applied for Airtel DTH on 18/9/2010 and made the payment of Rs.1590 over the phone through credit card with the transaction no[protected]. and i was assured that i will be installed within 48 hours but now its 1 week and i have not received any communication from Airtel DTH and whenever i contact them they are not responding at all.                           I have ordered an Airtel Digital TV connection on 4th Nov 2010 through IVR process using HDFC credit card. My transaction ID is 11641371. They told me that the max time for installation is 48 hours. But after payment is done, there was no response from their side even after three days of payment. The main reason behind me lodging this complaint is the way they treat the customers. I have keep on calling them yesterday and they are not at all giving proper response, instead they blocked my phone number. There was no way for me to contact them now. I tried calling them from a different phone number, but once I mention the transaction ID they are cancelling my call. I am very much frustrated even after paying them. Kindly suggest me on the same.

                          Airtel DTH — Delay in installation

                          I got Airtel DTH connection along with Samsung LED TV on 23rd Oct . Since , that day I am running post to pillar to get installation done...My customer ID is [protected] . Based on the the advice given on helpline I recharged for Rs.750/- on 25th Oct. I was promised that installation will be done by 30th Oct latest . Till date , I continue to follow up with customer services ( so called helpline where in after struggling to get some human being to talk takes 10 mts. & the many a times line get disconnected from their side ) . Later on , I was told to contact local dealers . On approaching them , they laughed at me & asked me to again complain on helpline .

                          Helpline guys ( if , I am lucky to find one of those after trying the helping & waiting for several minutes
                          ) again asked the same details ( which is very irritating ) & again promise to lodge a complain .

                          I do not know this trauma will be over for me . This is my horrible experience with Airtel DTH .
                          I echo with Abhishek having faced the similar disatisfaction in the Airtel DTH service. I reside @ Bannerghatta Road and now this is the 10th day without airtel DTH connection. Daily i am hoping that an engineer will call me, not sure when that day will come ;)

                          Anyway, have planned for backup, am moving on to tatasky.

                          I have my Airtel DTH activated and even I have received SMS confirming the date of installation. However, today some one called me and said they cannot do the installation and would like to reimburse the money. When I asked for a reason, they said they are scared of local cable operators. However, my apartment already has >10 Airtel DTH connection and the owners of these apartments say they had no issue in installing the same. I tried digging more details from the caller and he said that Airtel has outsourced this installation activity to some "enterprises" and they gave me a number of one Jayasree to call. when I called her, she gave me 2 different numbers to call . Each of these guys in turn say that there numbers are wrongly given. At the end of the day, after coughing up money, I am stuck. Also, this "Supposed to be" installation guy says if they dont do installation by Dec 1st, then I need to forget the deposit too. So, he adviced me to just take the money back and forget everything.

                          Airtel is becoming like a Govt Company every day, and the above state is a clear reflection of poor management and don't care attitude with the customers. I am feeling helpless here.
                          Airtel Customer Service Sucks.

                          I had bought this one year package. Now, I'm being told it'll be over in 9 months. And the customer service center refuses to help me at all.

                          I'm deciding to take this matter forward.

                          I bought Sony LCD TV, connection with I got free Airtel digital TV set box last month[protected], I recharged with Rs 750.00 for activation and Installation.

                          I got SMS form AD-DTH and confirm that DISH installation on 24 th feb (complaint No: 5613366) .I waited for that day, No one came for Installation and also I am not received any call regarding delay or postpone of installation

                          26 Feb , I logged call with customer care regarding Installation, They also confirmed installation done before 27 th Feb by 5:30 PM. this time also no one came for Installation.

                          Regarding this, I am keep on calling Customer care and writing mail to him but every time, they are telling, we will done before tomorrow by 3:30 Pm ( like recorded message ).

                          my name is saravanan i make a order for new hd-dvr at rs 4890 through net banking on 06/06/2011. after that they will call(07/06/2011) me and told we recive order and payment for new-hd-dvr and they told the installiation will be happened within 48 hours. when the call is finised another person will call me and told that is not avaliable at your area what will you do sir and they told we will refund your amount at which type of you paid we will return that type they told and i accepet and ask i how many days it will be taken to refund they told me within 7 days.after that i did not recive any payments and when i mail to customer care they will not respond me pls take the necessary action sir. still now i am not reciving my amount sir.

                          I am a customer of Airtel Mobility and also for digital TV. My Customer ID is [protected]. I got the airtel digital TV connection in the month of Jan’11 in Chennai. Now I’ve relocated to Bangalore and I’ve got my dish and set top box with me. I contacted Airtel contact Center on SAT for the installation on my new address and they promised me that the tech will come on SUN before 2PM and will install the dish. They also informed me that I need to pay Rs 200/- installation charges and Rs 16/- per meter for the cable.

                          I waited till 2 PM on SUN but nobody showed up. I called Airtel contact center once again and got an info that the rep who took my request did not update my address in their records and so the request was cancelled. That rep (Kokila) again took the request and informed that she will escalate the issue and will make sure that I get the tech before 6 PM on Sunday itself. I waited till 6 PM but again no response. I wasted my entire Sunday waiting for the Airtel tech to come and install the dish. I called in the night again, wanting to speak to a supervisor because I was not happy. I was kept on hold for 20 mins and the call was disconnected by the contact center rep. Again after couple of hrs I called contact center and got Roshan on the line. He told you need to recharge the account only then the tech will come. I tried to explain him that recharging does not make any sense unless the dish is installed. I requested for his supervisor but was informed that there is no supervisor available on the floor, only his L2 is there. I requested him to transfer the call to his L2, he placed me on hold for 7:24 mins and came back stating that my L2 is saying, he will; not come on the call and he is sending a mail that tech should come to my place even if the account is suspended. So, finally I was informed that the tech will come on Monday before 10:30 AM but to my utter surprise no call , no show. I’ve been calling Airtel contact center every 1 hr since then , I even spoke to a supervisor, she informed that I will get a callback after 2 hrs, its been 4 hrs now and nobody has called.

                          I called and requested for a manager and got info that the managers are in deep discussion and will not be able to come to the phone now. Till now I’ve not got any response from Airtel and I am not sure even if the tech will come tomorrow to install the dish.

                          I am also from Customer Service industry but this is the worst and the most pathetic service I’ve ever received. Need your intervention and also just for the information, If the issue is not resolved by tomorrow (TUE), I will be forced to go to Tata Sky and get a new connection, also I assure you, if this happens you will lose atleast 10 customers from DTH division and 15 from mobility.

                          Looking for your help and prompt response.

                          Airtel DTH — HD+DVR not installed even after 14 days of making the payment

                          I applied for the Airtel Digitel TV HD + DVR two weeks back. I made payments over phone (airtel Customer Care agent had called me)
                          It’s been 14 days since I requested for HD+DVR. Since then have called up 5 times and spoken to 5 different customer care agent but to no avail.

                          I don't understand why take the money if you don't have the product.

                          I have pad for a NEW CONNECTION of Airtel Digital TV (HD Recordable) made the payment of INR 5690 on my ICICI credit card on 14th March 2012. I was informed that with in 48 hours the set top box will be brought to my place and installation will be done.

                          I have been waiting ever since and 10 days have passed , so far no one came from AIRTEL to Install the DISH or the SET TOP BOX.

                          I have sent 5-6 E mail reminders and and also called up your customer support no [protected] about 10 times. Every time I was informed that with in one hour I will get a response, I still keep getting assurances that it will be looked in to in one hour, 24 hours etc etc.

                          Meantime, I received number of SMS on my mobile reg the subscription , package, balance amount available and what not, but so far no one contacted us for installation of the SET TOP BOX.

                          Finally I send a person to AIRTEL Office in Santhome, Chennai, first visit ( after waiting for long hours) he was told that they are unable to trace the payment and the installation will be arranged once the payment is tracked. We waited for 2 days and I sent the person again . On the Second visit he was told my order has been cancelled.!!

                          I called the customer care & they confirm my balance is 5590/ but unable to say anything beyond this.

                          I am surprised to note, how unprofessional& irresponsible AIRTEL is if they are unable to handle a new connection , what a MESS the DGITAL TV service will be. !! Ten days passed and NO ONE is bothered to set right the problem, that too after close / continuous follow up personally, by e mail & thru the customer care

                          Request the big wigs of Brarti Group, to refund this common mans payment and release me from this mess up as soon as possible

                            Yesterday Mr.Deepak has called me for the same number.I explained him about the concern, he said he will get back to me thats it.

                                I took a post paid connection from Airtel and was told that I will be charged only Rs:1/min for any STD call. Airtel never send me the bill.For two months they were charging me Rs: 2.40/min for an STD call. They are yet to clear the issue and keep on sending me notice from their lawyers.

                                Myself Nijam and I&#039;m using airtel mobile prepaid.No [protected].last few months I&#039;m facing bill problem.

                                2 months before whenever my 3G finished I switch it to 2G so my bill increased because of the conversion of 3G into 2G. After that your representative educated me that not to convert 3G to 2G.That is fine.

                                Last month after finish my 1gb 3G I have purchased 1gb 3G. Again I have faced same problem Even though I&#039;m activated 3G as per your representative statement.After finish 3G activated 3G plan still same problem.

                                Current month i finished 1gb plan and after that i have activated 1gb smart byte for 300/- rupees. But before generating bill my un billed amount was 900/- in 14th of this month when I called your rep he is telling 300/- for 1gb and 600/-rupees for 69 Mb which i used in between activation..conversation ref no.[protected] &amp;amp; [protected].while this conversation your rep promised me that it will not raise beyond 900/- because the 600/- rupees data used in between activation(That is my monthly plan started 11th after finish my data(1GB --&amp;gt; activated 1Gb smart byte in 14th) 300/- for activation of 1Gb smart byte Now again after 4 days that is 18th of this month it is 1300/- rupees now I contacted your rep now he is telling I used 400 Mb conversation no.[protected]. Why it is raising and why your rep giving me false statements

                                For this month when my 1Gb finished I have activated 1Gb smart byte after that also problem...while talking to your customer care your rep telling that there is some problem they will check and call me but so far i have not received any call. If im wrong call me and clarify me...if you are in this situation will you pay above said amount without using it..?clarify me...refer my data usage measured by my device if you are telling that is not correct..at the same time think that there is not this much error...kindly clarify me...

                                Also conform me while first conversation your rep telling me that not to use &quot;My airtel app&quot; because there is some error on the application.Next conversation your rep telling that the application is correct. Tell me which one is correct. Will i use your app or not...?
                                Kindly check out my conversation between your customer care...If your clarification is right i will pay my amount otherwise i will pay the excess amount. But after that kindly take this mail as my de-activation mail of my number [protected]. Please do needful...Regarding this issue i have sent many mails no use...I requested for number cancellation but they are not ready to close...

                                    I am sending this mail again as the issue is unresolved so far (30/3/11) by the
                                    mumbai appellate, so i am also requesting other Appellates to please intervene in
                                    resolving the issue.


                                    The problem is connected to my Airtel no [protected] having a bill of 13433
                                    /-for feb.
                                    (my normal bills are around 400/-)
                                    (Also i am not in a position to afford it )


                                    In january 2011 i activated Rs 98/2gb monthly gprs plan, the plan was easy to
                                    understand in Rs and GBs.
                                    Also the main reason i took this plan was because it was an affordable plan
                                    for
                                    me.


                                    i was told that after 2gb its 30 paisa/ 50kb which wasn't very clear to me at
                                    that time, on good faith i believed the charges to be on par with the Rs98/2gb
                                    plan.


                                    I dint have any idea that extra GB would be charged at Rs 6000 to 7000,
                                    (also
                                    i am not in a position to afford it)


                                    i would have greatly appreciated if i had received a call informing me when my
                                    gprs charge was going extremely high.


                                    normally i look for msgs from Airtel under the tag of 121,247.
                                    the "AD-Service" msg din't intimate me that it was a airtel msg.


                                    The 121 msgwhich i received on 16/2/11, is what intimated me, but by then the
                                    bill was already generated.

                                    Also the first AD-Service msg sent to inform me about the charges was just 4
                                    days before the bill was generated on 9/2/11 and by then gprs charge was
                                    already
                                    31 times over.

                                    called to check the issue on 19/2/11 to know further, and also sent mails to airtel appellates

                                    Requesting You to please help me out in resolving the issue.

                                      I had submitted two complaints about BIKINIRICH ALERTS...
                                      I have been recieving messages "YOU HAVE BEEN RENEWED FOR BIKINIRICH ALERTS FROM AIRTEL AT RS.3 ".I recieve this message every day..I have never subscribed for any such alerts from airtel.
                                      Each time i recieve this alert,I gets charged RS.3/RS.1 ..When there is a balace above Rs.3,I get charged Rs.3 and when I have a lower balance,I gets charger Re.1 each time I recieve this message.
                                      When I lost more than 25.RS, I submitted my second complaint and I got back my Rs.25...
                                      BUT THE ALERTS DIT NOT STOP...Now I have again lost about RS.30..
                                      I REALLY WANTS THIS ALERTS STOPPED IMMEDIATELY AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK.....


                                      I TRIED TO CONTACT AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE ALMOST EVERYDAY AND TILL NOW I COULD NOT REACH THEM ...

                                        On 15/03/2011 a caller tune was set to my connection automatically without my consent.
                                        It was known to me when I received a message regarding balance deduction.
                                        I called to customer care and registered a complaint
                                        Then he told me that he is going to forward the call to his senior.
                                        But no one picked the call and was automatically disconnected.
                                        I tried again calling customer care but could not because I was directed to some other computerized instructions telling me to send an sms to know my balance and validity.
                                        So I came to know that I am banned from calling to customer care. On 18/03/2011, I had sent an Email to Airtel.In replay they informed me that an amount of Rs20/- would be credited in 24 hours. Then the Hello Tune got deactivated successfully but the deducted amount(Rs20/-) is not credited to my account. Again I sent Email, i got same replay and the result was same. And they did not replay to my third mail.
                                        So i request you sir, to take necessary action

                                        My name is Vivek Anand Singh. I am using airtel pre-paid number [protected]. I want to make complain against airtel for their caller tune service. It has been happened 3 times with me that I receive call from airtel customer care, and the moment I picked the call, they activated caller tune service on my number without any consent, and they deducted some amount from my balance. When I called customer care number, they did not give me any satisfactory answer why they activated caller tune on my number without my permission and even they refused to give me customer care complain number. Today also I receive call from airtel customer number +[protected]. When I picked the call, they activated caller tune service again without asking my permission. They are doing this with most of their customers and by doing so they are making lot of money by cheating their customers.
                                        Please take an strict action against such companies cheating their customers.

                                        The same thing happened with me today - 30/3/2011. They have started hello tune without my consent. When i called customercare, they deactivated the service but did not refund my balance deduction.
                                        Dear SirMadam,
                                        On 28/03/2011, I got a call from a number [protected] who claimed to be from airtel HQ and told me that my number has been selected among 5 lucky numbers in Kerala for special offer. Though I asked him what the offer was, he kept insisting that it was free and included sms and call rates. I told OK and as soon as I disconnected the call, I got a Rs.30 deduction message for a hello tunes to which I never subscribed.
                                        I tried calling 121 and 198 on same day and tried to speak to customer care representative, but when I tried the option, I got "Thank for contacting Airtel" and was disconnected.
                                        I never had faced such cheap marketing tactics from Bharti Airtel till now.
                                        Hope you will look into this matter.

                                        Airtel — Activate Caller tune without my CONSENT!!

                                        Now here is something that i don't like about the Mobile service providers. My service provider is AIRTEL(does Mr. A.R.Rahman's cellular device do get activated by the unwanted caller tunes?) .Well Today in the morning i have discovered that Airtel has activated the Caller Tune without my CONSENT. They even didn't bother me to send a sms or any kind of notification to let me know about this. I was surprised when one my friend called me up to say "dude when did you get this caller tune?". I am very dissatisfied with the service, facing this issue for the 3rd time. Do you guys do these sort of illegal stuffs just to meet your target?? This is the last and first time I am complaining. And I hope my complains will be taken care of.
