MY AIRTEL LANDLINE CONNECTION [protected] IS NOT WORKING SINCE AUGUST 27, 2010 FOR WHICH A COMPLAINT WAS REGISTERED WITH AIRTEL ON AUGUST 28, COMPLAINT NUMBER 36978850, HOWEVER AIRTEL CLOSED THIS COMPLAINT WITHOUT RESOLVING ON SEPT 13. ON ASKING WHY MY COMPLAINT WAS CLOSED WITHOUT RESOLVING THE CS REP OPENED A NEW COMPLAINT NUMBER 37574906 AND RUDELY REFUSED TO REOPEN THE PREVIOUS ONE.

THAT WAS ON SEPT 13, AND TODAY IS OCTOBER 1, HOWEVER THE PHONE IS STILL NOT WORKING NEITHER I HAVE RECIEVED ANY WRITTEN INFORMATION OR ANYTHING FROM AIRTEL ON THIS.

I TRIED TO CONTACT SOME PEOPLE IN CORPORATE OFFICE HOWEVER THEY HAVE ALSO BEEN MAKING FALSE PROMISES.

AIRTEL HAS SERIOUSLY VOILATED "TRAI’s Telecom Consumers Protection and Redressal of Grievances Regulations 2007".

I DONT THINK I WANT TO BEG ANYMORE FOR GETTING MY PHONE FIXED, AS AIRTEL'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETIC.

TO MAKE IT WORST AIRTEL BILLED ME, EVEN FOR THE PERIOD WHEN THE PHONE WASN'T WORKING.

HATS OFF TO AIRTEL AND ITS STAFF FOR MAKING NEW RECORDS IN POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Please note that this complaint has been noted by your company earlier also on 28th August 2010 and as you mentioned your team is working on a resolution, I would hereby request you to tell me what your team is doing and how?

Please also tell me what are your comments on your company's voilation of TRAI’s Telecom Consumers Protection and Redressal of Grievances Regulations 2007".

Please also tell me what your company has done to keep your customers informed of the challanges that you may be facing in resolving this issue?

My airtel landline no. is[protected] is dead. I have lodged complaints many many times ( one of the complaint no. being[protected]. Without resolving the problem, after 2-3 days we recieve sms that the problem has been resolved. This is something realy untolerable. We have not been able use our phone since the last soo many days. You may check this from your records as well.

Further the broadband problem also stands as it is. After working for sometime, it stops working.

Kindly sort out the problem as soon as possible.

i think this company is making fool o[censored]s we should tell of our friends & soical near &dears about it & ask them to surrendear their airtel connections &also take care that any one from us should not get a new airtel connection
Same case is with me . They Resolve the issue without any feedback

    My name is Kamal Nehria. I am retailer of Airtel prepaid service Kamala Communication ([protected]). i have a small shop in the village called Bhagsu Nag. I am using services of airtel from last 6 years.
    I am giving my best services to my customers, but recently i got a messege from No.[protected] on 1October. contents of this messege are ( Dear retailer u have gifted a transfer balance of rs. 3333.00 on your E-top account Now you can made recharge ) After that i got a call from this No. and the person calling from this No. assured me and told me that he is an employee of Airtel Communication Head Office in Shimla and suugested me how to send money on this No. [protected]. The time i got this messege i had balance Rs.8735 on my Lapu sim ( [protected]) after following his direction i have send money on following nos. [protected],[protected]. After sending money on these nos. my balance remains Rs. 274.i wait for two days and dint get any balance in my account, I lost Rs. 8461 this loss of money is alot for me To make all this money i have lost so many Nights and days.I contact with my distributor Mr. Akshay Bhardwaj No. [protected], after that i contact with my territory manager Mr. mukesh Dhiman No. [protected], after that i contact with my Area Manager Mr. Rajeev No. [protected]. After consulting with them my problem i dint got any response, they also ignore me even they smile on my face and dint pick my phone,
    Please find out who is creating all these problems i also would like to request you to close these No. [protected],[protected]. so in the future they should not create any problem to other Retailers in the Country. I want you to find out the solution of my problem. this damage is creating mental and physical harm to me. i am totally in depression. i hope you will find out proper action against these people.

    Airtel Prepaid — poor service and fake e-recharges

    hello ,

    my no is [protected] airtel prepaid .I have done easy recharge o[censored]nlimited sms of rs 67 twice last month.
    the recharege which was supposed to be for 1 month time but it hardly works more than 3 days .
    CALLING the customer care didn't solve my problem.I feel really bad for airtel for providing such disgusting service.I have received a complaint ID no[protected].But in vain.

    Airtel Prepaid — charging for free services

    my mobile number is [protected] i was charged for browsing 0.facebook.com which is a free service on 15 jan 2011. i recharged for Rs 35 on 7/01/2011 and i had a offer of full talktime but i did not get the full talk time till now .i did Rs 35 recharge twice and was promised to get full talktime within 48hours.
    i request you to kindly see to the matter and even i spoke to customer care on 11/01/2011. his name was Jayprakash and he told it would be rectified.
    i did not expect this type of service from airtel.i am being a customer for past 5 years and this is not the way to earn money honestly.

      I suspect some people to be responsible but not sure of it. I am afraid he can do it from another number even if i block this present number.

      Hi Airtel,

      I am continuously receiving vulgar and abusive SMS from this Airtel mobile number [protected] from[protected] onwards. It has completely disturbed my work and family life. I have stored sms's in my inbox .I want to know about that person. kindly mail me the details of owner of this mobile number.
      I am ready to file for a legal action on the number.
      I also want you to trace/block the number so that it is not misused by the owner on other people like me. looking forward for your prompt reply.

        AIRTEL has been broadcasting messages like" want Beach beauties too hot to " who handle", "who is hot namitha or nayanthara" and similar nonsense mails. Sending such messages unsolicited is objectionable and I have complaint to them several times. The standard reply is, (i) the messages are not from AIRTEL and (ii) if you don't want disable service messages in your hand set. The messages floods your phone, unsolicited. If you request for do not disturb service the time they require is 45 days, which is outrageous. If things go unchecked, days are not far to receive even porno messages and clip. As I have AIRTEL connection I have experience only with them and I am not sure about the other service providers. Kindly look in to the matter and do the necessary.

        I have registered in DND registry through airtel portal during 2007 and after that I was not receiving the unwanted SMS and calls. But now I am started receiving the same. When I check the status in TRAI site, it shows that registered, but when I try to make complaint through airtel portal, airtel says that not registered. I have send emails to both trai and airtel, but no response. Kindly advise to proceed on this.

          Dear Sir/Madam,
          My Airtel customer id [protected] which i took this month on call from AIRTEL IVR. As we use more than 10 mobile/landline service of airtel they offered us a new Digital DTH service for annual subsciption ultra pack with free intallation.

          But on installation and activation i found out they have activated mega pack. i have being following up with the airtel officers since last 20 days and they have not replied back to me.

          Know they want me to pay extra amount for ultra pack. I have paid the for ultra pack on request of the booking officer of the airtel on Airtel IVR number 12148. Mr. Rohan who had compared the two scheme and said they are offering this on a special scheme of valuable customer of airtel.

          I have requested for refund or upgrade of my ultra pack with addition loss of 1 month subscription.

          Please help how i can teach a lesson to the company and so that this dont become their regular practice.

            Despite repeated complaints, speaking to the call center supervisors, and even
            after activation of BIS 399 on the above mentioned cell number (on 1st October-
            after 1 week of calling the helpline and spending over Rs.200 on those calls) I
            am still not able to access blackberry services on my cell.

            Everytime I make a call to the helpline, I get an assurance that the services
            will be activated within sometime, or a maximum of 24 hours, which never
            happens.

            This time, I was given the number of a nodal officer of Rajasthan, which is
            also a helpline number (only available for 4-5 hrs a day from monday to friday)
            and not a direct number.

            At the latest, I am being told that the device pin and imei are registered elsewhere, but even after telling them that I have not used bb service from any other number, nothing is happening. I was just using the service on my postpaid number, which I got converted to a prepaid number.

            I want to register my complaint against Airtel Bangalore.. I had recently converted from Postpaid to prepaid. I had submitted the documents also.. Now these people have barred my no: since they claim that they have not received my documents, I have wrote them mail 7 times.. Still there is no response.. Also I tried calling their call center... which is pathetic...They disconnect the call as soon as they know that we are getting angry

              Today I am very happy that today I came out of Airtel Digital TV services. I have been using DTH services from Airtel as ID:[protected], Chennai since one year and I raised service request almost 20 times but not even single time the service person got back to me and not resolved my problems.

              I requested for relocation of the service and they have taken request with Req.ID and confidantly telling that service will provide so and so time. i was very happy to listen that...time has passed and no response from anyone. when called customer care and check for the status of the request... unbelievably my request has been closed successfully. (I personally dissambled the kit and moved to new location).

              For reconnection, I raised request once again and keep on calling so called customer care but no use...no response....but funniest thing is all my request are being closed successfully without attending problem. At last i took help from TATA SKY service person (Shame on Airtel Digital).

              Very recently, Suddenly my signal has gone....raised request and with in half hour request has been closed with out attending. I walked into T Nagar airtel centre and found digital TV person and told the problem.....unbelivable answer " Sir, got head office, we are not responsible for your problem" I asked where is head office? Answer was " I think in Mumbai" They suggested me to goto Mumbai from chennai for small problem.

              Ultimately I decided to stop using Airtel service and immidiatly raised request to disconnection and refund outstanding balance.....!!!

              I got local cable service in 30 minutes and enjoying alot.

              Friends, I strongly suggest all of you please dont consider Airtel as they are cheaters and loot money like anything and worst than worst service in the world.

              They dont have any responsibility and no escallation procedure.

              I feel shame to be a Airtel Digital TV customer since one year.... now i am in relief. Thanks GOD.

                    I have been with Airtel since 2000 when i got my first mobile phone.I have always paid all bills on time.This is regarding my postpaid connection no. [protected] belonging to Pathankot.It was taken in sep 2008 and was in use till Jun 2010 when i had to move to Delhi urgently.I could not pay the bill of Rs 2000 and neither i could file an application to get the sim cancelled.
                    Now ,most of my relatives and friends have already got a call for the nonpayment of this meager amount and the have been threatened that hey would be dragged to the court of law if this amount is not paid.
                    I want to know that for such a small amount ,How can they harass my Father,my wife and several other friends of mine when my average monthly bill that i have been paying used to be close to Rs 2000.
                    I am not going to pay this bill untill the reps of the company call up the same numbers and apologise to them on causing mental discomfort .
                    The last call i got was of Neha from Chandigarh centre.
                    An early action will be highly appreciated.

                      Providing AON service forcefully

                      Airtel — Refund of Advance Rental

                      I have disconnected my Airtel number on 7-Apr-2009. I have got a confirmation mail regarding the disconnection. However, I have not received the refund of advance rental after so many days. I have made a lot of calls and mails to airtel. But they dont even reply to the mails. 2 times they have provided with the courier name and the PO number for the dispatch of my cheque. I enquired with the courier company and they say they dont have such PO number. Please advise what to do.

                        Dear sirs,

                        This is a similar complaint because i have been having similar problems regularly and no one seems to be bothered about rectifying this problem. I now am inclined to believe that this scam is being deliberately perpetrated on unsuspecting customers and is tantamount to cheating and daylight robbery.

                        This is an entirely new complaint and is in addition to one i had sent early this morning to yesterday's robbery!!

                        It is such a shame that a company of such repute has to indulge in such lowly acts as to cheat the customers and claim to be the best in the business!!! Shame on you all and shame on the company for betraying the trust of the long standing customers. Disgusting and deplorable are not sufficient words to describe this uncouth and lowly behaviour indulged by your organization.

                        Shame on you all and now am taking this matter seriously to the consumer court for action.

                        Worst untrustworthy company.

                        Airtel postpaid with GPRS connection — GPRS settings are not being forwarded

                        I got a postpaid connection no. [protected] alongwith GPRS connection on 04.09-09, Since than I am struglling for GPRS activation and necessary settings for my handset and laptop.I have called cutomercare atleast 20 times .Every time I got some reply but all in vain.
                        Airtel has deducted extremely excess amount from my prepaid account. On 02.02.2010 i have charged for rs.333/- (Transaction id :[protected], at 6:33pm) and rs.98/- (Transaction id:[protected] at 6:31pm). I have activated my gprs98/- as guided by airtel support services by dialing *567*.... On 03/02/2010. On 04.02.2010 after activating the gprs my 98/- (2gb free in a month) plan was not activated. I again call to your customer support on 5:00pm (04.02.2010) to ask why my gprs 98 plan has been not activated. They told me again the process of activation by dialing *567*2#. Now my account balance is only rs.96/. I have made hardly call of rs. 25-30/- when i contacted to customer support regarding this they told that 2 times 98 has been deducted and for correction they forwarded call to there senior and cut the call. Now i want my call detail with correction of account, as i have done only that, which was guided by airtel staff. I am very much frustated due this type of problems. I have sent a lot of mails but no response recieved from airtel till date. All correspondences are as following :
                        It is very frustrating that airtel has done nothing till date. Please see old mails regarding this complain which is shown below and credit my excess amount cut by airtel.

                        First of all i like to thank airtel for providing manual handset settings. But now airtel has deducted extremely excess amount from my prepaid account. On 02.02.2010 i have charged for rs.333/- (Transaction id :[protected], at 6:33pm) and rs.98/- (Transaction id:[protected] at 6:31pm). I have activated my gprs98/- as guided by airtel support services by dialing *567*.... On 03/02/2010. Today (04.02.2010) after activating the gprs my 98/- (2gb free in a month) plan was not activated. This can be verified by my account detail. I again call to your customer support on 5:00pm (04.02.2010) to ask why my gprs 98 plan has been not activated. The told me again the process of activation by dialing *567*2#. Now my account balance is only rs.96/. I have made hardly call of rs. 25-30/- when i contacted to customer support regarding this they told that 2 times 98 has been deducted and for correction they forwarded call to there senior and cut the call. Now i want my call detail with correction of account, as i have done only that, which was guided by airtel staff. I am very much frustated due this type of problems.                         I am a customer of airtel postpaid mobile (Corporate plan). I changed from post paid to prepaid on 01/02/2010. My plan activated on 02/02/2010. I have charged for rs.98/ for one month gprs unlimited (2gb free) on 02.02.2010. After then 02.02.2010 (6pm) i am requesting so many time through sms at 567, 52567, etc as told by customer care for gprs (Mobile office) activation and for handset setting. I am using micromax q3 model.
                        But neither i received setting (Auto or manual) nor activated gprs. Customer care told every time that gprs is activated. But they are not able to give me manual setting. They always told that call from any other airtel mobile which has gprs activated. How can i find another mobile. I have wasted two days for this. Customer care is very bad. Kindly credit my account with rs 98/- which i have used for gprs, as airtel is not capable to give settings of handset.

                        Airtel Mobile Prepaid — Excess deduction of money

                        My Airtel no. is [protected]. I am using Govt. scheme. I rarely use outgoing calls that too most probably on airtel only. Whenever I use outgoing, the consume time and consume value shows correctly but the balance is reducing so fastly that which is not earlier brought forward balance but it is something new. I can't understand without making any calls, how the balance is reducing. I observed that at every new calls made, earlier balance will not reflect brought forward balance but it shows something different which is unnecessarily and unjustified deductions. Please rectify at the earliest possible.

                        when the company is unable to compete with well organised other mobile companies, who do indulge in cheating customers like instantly sending a msg. stating your mobile activated for missed call details and u will be charged for the same.Is it not worst than begging. Secondly so many posing to be collection agents with the connivance of the airtel executives knock your door and trouble your household laldies for payment of amount and finally runaway with the booty. This is fully pampered by airtel management

                        All users of airtel beware of the scam that airtel is indulging in the prepaid segment. They are deducting more money per call than the scheme that you are in and if you don't check you are the loser. I am herewith attaching a copy of an email which i sent to them and the response which i received which is self explanatory.

                        I was stunned to see them charge me re. 1.00 (Rupee one) for a 16 seconds call, by chance, and then i realized this is how airtel would be making their profits by cheating their customers. It is not the cost at re. 1.00 but the principle involved in this dubious scam

                          My name is Anmol Sharma and i am a Petroleum Engineering student from Dehradun. I have a home here and i am going through a hell lot of trouble due to Airtel mobile tower.
                          There is Airtel mobile tower just behind my home.
                          It has not taken any electricity connection and running on generator 24 hours. Its making so much of noise and vibrations that creates a lot of physiological problem. That noise has led to stress, headache, high blood pressure and high heart beat. Its even hard to study and sleep at night. My parents are senior citizens and responsible citizens of the country who always been complaining to me about the consititution of the country. It makes me to feel very regrettful.
                          So its my sincere request to please take a quick action and prevent us from predictive diseases.

                            I am not getting service from airtel.

                            One month before I shifted from Indore to Goa. I called in customer care for de-installation of Digital on 27/08/2010 and they had given me order no. 49048055 but after 4 days follow-up I did not got any service from Airtel so I de-installed digital TV my own, since that date upto now approx. 300 RS. charged and dabited from my account without any service.

                            Since last 3 days I am calling in customer care for re-installation of digital TV setup box but every time from customer care I am getting new time,new date and new compain number but I am not getting any service.Day before yesterday they had given me complain number 50941302 and told me for installation of digital TV engineer will visit next day but nobody visited so I called in customer care yesterday. From customer care they had given me one new complain number 4002314 and told me next day engineer will definite visit but today also nobody came. I am literly fed up.

                            I dont expect such type of eresponsible service from company like airtel.I am requesting you to kindly do the needful earliest possible.

                              incoming calls barred

                              My airtel prepaid mobile number is [protected]. The incoming call facility to my number has been barred since monday(27/9/10). I had already submitted my documents on thursday(23/9/10).

                              I've already visited the airtel customer care centre in sheshadripuram 6 times until the time of this complaint and made umpteen calls to 198 and 121. The only change is a sufficient reduction in my balance.

                              None of the executives...

                              I have 3 mobile post-paid connections with AirTel cellular - Gujarat i.e. (1) [protected] (2) [protected] & (3)[protected]. I have repeated my 2 email address to the company representative on phone while the introductory phone call was made to me and also advised that I would prefer to receive monthly bills through Email. 1st billing period is over but, no monthly bill is received by me so far. Kindly look into the matter and arrange to send me my monthly bill for the above numbers at the earliest and help me in clearing those dues at the earliest.

                                  This is complaint against Airtel regarding the overcharging this account number in broadband service.
                                  It happened twice. On 17th Nov 09 i got a bill which overcharged me Rs 3206.29 ( Bill no[protected]
                                  After this bill i called up customer care service in Mumbai to complaint about this excess amount. However, i agreed to pay this excess amount on condition that airtel will investigate why i am getting overcharged and will fix the issue asap.

                                  However, Airtel fail to comply and respond even after i made a request well before upcoming bill.

                                  In that month, before i get bill almost 10 days before i called up stating that problem is still not resolved and i am going to get excess bill in coming month. Your customer care told me that they will check and fix this issue. Again, no response from Airtel.

                                  Bill came date 27 Dec 2009 with outstanding of Rs 8105.00 ( Bill number[protected] and i called up Airtel told them that no one responded to my request and due to irresponsible customer service i was charged again. Random excess usage charge.
                                  I requested Airtel to disconnect the service and i complied that i will continue service only when Airtel check their service completely.

                                  No response from Airtel again.
                                  Few months later one of your office guy called up and threaten to go for court case. I explained him whole situation and he agreed there was some problem. He told that he will investigate and will come back to me with his finding. No response from Airtel again.

                                  Today, from out of the blue Advocate M.K. Singh called me to pay the amount or asked to go for court case.

                                  This is really unacceptable, i explain problems again and again. Airtel promise to investigate and without doing anything from their side you send a court case notice.

                                  Would like to talk to some senior person who can take decision to resolve this issue.

                                  There's a person who says he is from Airtel walked into my house twice asking for money in cash or cheque for the bill amount I have already paid. When I call up the airtel customer care, they tell me its a fraud case and asked me not to reveal any information. The airtel customer care executive told me that if the bill amount has not been paid, I will get calls and smses asking to pay the outstanding amount and despite that if the bill is not paid, then the calls are barred.

                                  I want to check with Airtel, if there's any such procedure of sending a person (who looks more like a hulligan and not an employee) talks in a threatening tone, shouts and asks for money which I am not even liable to pay.

                                  Request you to help me with the same.

                                  Airtel Broadband — AIRTEL OVERCHARGES & Threatens

                                  We have subscribed for AIRTEL broadband services with static IP on our Landline subscriber No[protected] .

                                  During April & May 2010 Airtel slapped an inflated bill of Rs.8000 +. We have demanded for details and TDR s provided ion which the time o[censored]tility is Midnight.

                                  Since this service is used in an office works between 9.00 AM to 7.00 P.M we have demanded further details like

                                  a) Mac ID of the ADSL modem.
                                  b) Mac ID of the system ( computer)
                                  c) In coming and out going port information. ( Available with NOC or Gate way)
                                  d) Incoming and out going IP information.

                                  The above requested details will prove the authenticity o[censored]tility. When the situation is at this stage Airtel has withdrawn the services for not paying the inflated bill causing difficulty for our day to day works.

                                  We have requested Airtel to collect at the usual charges and extra amount charged will be paid once the usage is determined through the above requested information. We have also assured them payment when Airtel prove the utility by providing the above details.

                                  For the past 8 moths we have been constantly following up with Airtel without any result. As the situation is not leading to any solution and Airtel denying to restore the service or provide the details requested we have issued them a notice stating that we will take the matter before a consumer forum and also demanded for return of our deposit with interest.

                                  Airtel replied stating that it requires time and sent us mail in this regard. Mean while some one called us form Delhi stating that we are charged with contempt of court case in Delhi with a penalty of Rs.30000.00 and the file will be submitted with recovery suit if do not pay up in next one hour on[protected].

                                  The concerning points playing against the consumer interest

                                  a) Airtel like companies denying the user the information essential for determining the utility. They just send you TDR which will not give any detail except for the time and quantity for the user to relay on.
                                  b) They can raise any bill and raise funds from public under ignorance and also threaten them with consequences of facing litigation at much higher cost than 6tegh bill.
                                  c) Any single subscriber will not able to fight the case as he is facing a mammoth organization with all kinds of powers to ensure the voice raised against malpractices is curbed properly.

                                  We are looking for guidance and support.
