Warm Greetings to All At Airtel.
I am a prepaid customer of airtel life time service my no is [protected].
I would like to bring in your notice of illegally debiting money from my prepaid number by sending messages saying Thank you for subscribing the Vas pack 50 service that I haven’t used, from the phone. I received a message from no 543212 from this service provider thanking me for using their service at 11.50 am on 18-12-08 which I haven’t authorized. This is the third time I am paying from my prepaid account. Kindly take action not to repeat again.

I am having airtel prepaid card bearing number #[protected]. Every month Rs.30/- get deducted. I have not opted for any caller tune still the amount gets deducted.

Today morning I got SMS in my AIRTEL mobile number from AIRTEL related to friend's chat and after that immidiately they deducted Rs. 30/- from my account. I am using Airtel pre-paid connection.
I feel this is totally illegal. I want Airtel to return my Rs. 30/- immidiately.

Dear concern officer,
I am a prepaid customer of your mobile service,having mobile no.as [protected].Today I received message from your 54321 no.informing that I have been renewed for auto sebcsription service and have been charged for 10 Rs.
I was surprised to see the message.why on earth 10 Rs been deducted from my account?I have never allowed you to do so.I have never subscribed for such a service.
When I call back and tha same no.and tried to tell this to you I was failed to make contact for three tines and told that the call is expired.I was charged for 6 Rs.for the service.
Sir/Madam,what is this.It’s nothing but just a loot of customer.
I need a explaination for this incident happened and I want ny 16 Rs back in my account.

Airtel Prepaid — UNAUTHORISED DEDUCTIONS FROM PREPAID MOBILE

I HAVE AIRTEL PREPAID MOBILE NUMBER [protected]. Every now and then some sms comes saying I have been charged (unauthorised deduction) for some down loads which I never attempted or downloaded. The latest is today 23 May 2010 for some JAVA GAMES for which I have been chaerged Rs.99/- and Tadka for which Rs.20/-. I sent sms to 121 STOP but reply comes "unable to process request try after some time." This is utterly ILLEGAL and I request Airtel to stop such malpractices forthwith and refund the unauthorised deductions.

Register for DND services Do not call
SMS STOP to 121 or call 1909 or SMS to 1909 for Activation of DND type START DND. You can request for refund. Some time they refund. One more thing note down your DND confirmation No:- so they have to stop unwanted calls with in 45 day if not you can write to http://ndncregistry.gov.in.

my airtel prepaid card is debited with value added service charges even if i have not subscribed for the same. this has been happening for an year . even after repeated complaints to the customer care officer no action has been taken. my number is [protected].

Last three months my balance credit in pre-paid mobile no is getting reduced without any calls or sms.I phoned customer care no and talked to Air-tel representative on 21st Nov.2010.to stop any deductions and any other non-authorised services; but they are still deducting money .Many similar users also find this malpractice of Airtel. My phone no is [protected]. Can the company take strict measures or or penalised with heavy compensation for such mal-practice of mopping up crores from customers?

i have never subscribed or called up the service provider for airtel friendz chat scheme but the company on their own activated the scheme on my mobile number and deducted rs.30 their by causing financial loss and tension to me. It has also caused inconvenience to me. You are therefore requested to refund the deducted amount along with reasonable compensation due to inconvenience caused to me failing which i shall be forced to seek redressal from consumer forum.

SINCE I CHOICE OF AIRTEL PREPAID MOBILE SERVICE FOR MY MOBILE PHONE NUMBER [protected] FROM THE DAY 1 AIRTEL COMPANY WAS DEDUCTING OR CUT THE CHARGES FOR RHE SERVICES LIKE ASTROLOGY, CRICKET SCORE, FOOTBALL & OTHERS WITHOUT UNDEMAND THE SUCH SERVICE NEVER I HAS TOLD OR SELECT OR REQUEST TO THE AIRTEL COMPANY EVEN THAT DEDUCT THE AMOUNT OF RUPEES 20 , 10. LIKE THIS AFTER MY RECHAGE OF PREPAID TALK TIME.

Airtel — MONEY DEDUCTION IN INCOMING CALLS

It has been observed that in my mobile no [protected], the incoming calls are also charged. On being calling the customer care, either they dont pickup calls or if they pickup after hearing the plea , the attendants disconnect the call.

You must have a Airtel Relationship Center nearby in your city, visit them some day and discuss the problem with the executives, I hope it will be solved. Alternatively, dial customer care and ask about all the VAS active in your account and ask for deactivation of all that you don't want.

I am a Airtel subscriber since last 12 yrs, I have 2 SIM cards of Airtel, all this never happened to me!

I have few landline and mobile phones from Airtel. The bills are being paid regularly. Every month there is call from your collection agency for bill payment details.This has become a mental menace.What wrong have we done by taking the Airtel connections.As business head of company do I need to keep giving details to all tom dick and harry about five numbers I hold and keep myself occupied- only because I have airtel cell number declared on these numbers? You are welcome to put charges if bills are not paid in time and you are also wlcome to disconnect the facilities if there is further delay in bill payments BUT for God's sake donot keep calling and enquiring whether bills have been paid or not.Pl STOP this nuisance or I may be forced to take appropriate actions.

Airtel Landline — Release of personal Information

Dear Sir,
I was recently made aware of Airtels standing policy to release outstanding balance information to anyone that calls and asks for it. Airtel does not require any permission from the client before revealing the outstanding balance on any account. Also once a month they call the landline and inform whomever picks up the phone of what the balance is as well as when the bill is due. I called Airtel asking them to stop this action and to at least ask for the concerned person before giving out that information to whoever answers the phone. I have not given Airtel permission to release this information to the public however with or without it they continue to do so.

I agree. Airtel is into thieving its customer by starting any service anytime without even the customer sending any request and without notifying them. The customer only gets aware of the same when he is deducted of that money. I have been deducted with Rs.0.30 since a long time but since I make a lot of calls I never realized and thought that it must be some call charges only. But I saw this today (having made no call since morning) that they have been consistently deducting the above said amount (5 times since morning till now 2PM) for reasons known to them only. I have also logged a complain with no result / response till now.
They also keep sending links to cheap sites of FTV models and other models in Bikini.
Is there a limit to which they can go down, dirty and pathetic???

I have mobile with airtel sim.By mistake i activated the DADA SUB 10 service on gprs.Becoz of it, my balance is deducted every other day by Rs 10 even when i am not downloading anything neither surfing gprs.

Hi,
This problem happens again!!! All of a sudden my message outgoing has stopped. However, I am able to receive SMS. This problem has occured few months back as well and had taken almost a month to get fixed. Calling Airtel Customer care is absolute waste of time, energy, and money as everytime they promise to revert but doesn't. I'm afraid if this continues to happen i will have to discontinue using Airtel service.
And oh yes... i did check my message centre number. All those tricks doesn't work.

Airtel — Discontinuation of service abruptly

On 04/05/2011, I, Debasish Dutta brought a new Airtel Pripaid Connection after submitting all the documents and the number [protected] was activated.

On the same day I topped up this number with Rs 225 on 04/05/2011 at12:57 PM with trans ID:[protected] and Tariff Recharge on the same day of Rs16 at 12:54 PM with Trans ID[protected].I still have both the sms.

All of a sudden this number wasdeactivated on 18/05/2011 at 07:45:08 am and on query I was mailed:

We regret to inform you that your number has been permanently
deactivated on 18/05/2011 at 07:45:08 am, as there was no usage of your
account for 90 days or no recharge for 6 months. As per our policy,
this leads to disconnection of the number.

Now they are not responding to my mail,calling the customer care is also futile as they are saying they do not have any such number in their system

Now this has caused lot of problem as this number was given to many.
Please advise how to resolve

Airtel Broadband — Migration to new plan

Most of the times I deal with Airtel Customer Service, I have faced issues. The most recent issue is related to our efforts to upgrade our Broadband plan from Rs. 799 to Rs. 1099. Below is a recap of events:

1) I called Airtel Broadband customer service on July 30 to upgrade our broadband connection from Rs 799 to Rs 1099 plan based on our usage pattern of the last couple of months.

2) My service request number was 1531868. I was told that the upgrade would happen as of Aug 12 as it was the start of new billing cycle for my account.

3) I called on Aug 14 to find out if my plan was changed to the one I requested. I was told I was still on my old plan (the upgrade did not happen due to "technical issues"). Of course, nobody bothered to call me back to keep me posted. I had a long chat with the rep. I told her that I will go to Consumer Court I was charged in August based on 799 plan. She said she will ask the concerned department to "look into" the matter.

4) I called again on Aug 31 (Wednesday) as I did not hear back from Aug 14 discussions! I insisted I should talk to a manager. While I was on hold to talk to the manager, my connection was dropped. I again called and asked for a manager, I was connected to Moses, the floor manager. He listened to my complaint. He said, he needs some time to talk to the concerned department. He promised someone would get back to me by Friday (Sep 2) evening.

5) As of Sep 6, nobody came back to me. Another billing cycle is coming to end (Sep 11). It is not fair to ask the customer to pay for Airtel's mistakes of not migrating to the requested plan, even after multiple calls.

I do hope Airtel will focus on customer service and customer retention, instead of just looking to add new customers and leaving them high and dry later.

i m not able to contact with customer care when i call from last six months it is busy and my call disconect automatically can i able to conect with my customer care in future or not

Airtel Prepaid Customer Care — wrong service provided & ignorance to customer

I by mistake recharged 48RS recharge. I called cutomer care they told me that once your recharge validity is over it will automecally give you previous benifits I was getting that is of friend's scheme.
But it has been one & half month I am not getting the benifits when I used to call cutomer care they kept telling me with in 24 hrs you will get converted into your origanal plan, but it never happened.
Today when I called customercare they told me that my card has got converted into Lifetime card & I will have to rechage 156RS to convert into friends.
The guy was not ready to listen to me & just cut the call. Names they told me while comtact are Subrato, rameshwar or somthing I do't know ...but Subrato assured me that card will get converted in friends but it got converted in Lieftime...hows that????

I submitted my document a week ago but they want it again, i am using this no for past 4 year this is getting me frustrated; They are don't how to threat a customer..

I've been using my Airtel prepaid card for over 4 years now, and now I'm facing the same issue. The outgoing calls have been barred without any prior intimation. The junks at customer support do not provide any rational reason for it, they just keep on repeating "you have to submit your verification documents". I wonder
what Airtel has done with the documents initially submitted by me.

This is regarding my Airtel Number [protected]; few (13th Feb 2008) months ago I have requested to deactivate this number (ref number :[protected] After few days I have lost my SIM; for this issue I have requested Airtel to block my SIM.


After 1 month I have checked my number was still showing active (however it was blocked) with www.airetl.in, on the same date I contacted Airtel “121” to know the status, they said to make all payment then only my Number will be disconnected. After making complete payment I thought now my number will be disconnected and I stopped chasing Airtel for this issue (but I was wrong).

I got a bill (bill number[protected] for the month of 20th feb to 20th march (NO WONDER! I WAS EXPECTING THIS FROM ARTEL). I again contacted Airtel they (some manager) said “you don’t have to pay your bill and your account will be deactivated, and we will give you a call once it is done”.


But obvious I never got a call from Airtel and my Number is still it is active. Again I tried to get the status by calling “121” they said same thing again “your number is temporary deactivated and after few days it will deactivate permanently” (But I am sure I will get 1 more bill from Airtel).

Again I have got a new bill for rs. 735 (bill period 20/04/08 - 19/05/08), for the same number (no wonder, AIRTEL always do that).

I don't understand what to do now.

I had requested for the de-activation & discontinuation of my post paid no [protected] about a month back and had requested for the adjustment of my current bill amount from my secuirity deposit. However, I was immensely surprised to receive my biil and understood that no action had been taken in this regard and arter talking to the customer care executive, I was horrified to learn that my connection has not been deactivated, only the outgoing has been stopped.
We have five Airtel post paid connections in the house-if this is the sorry state of the customer support, then I don't know what to comment on this issue.
Kindly look into this matter and do the needful at the earliest, as this is not only a waste of time but also a waste of my hard earned money.

We are using the mobile line no.[protected] for such a long time. We have shifted and we have given the change address request to the airtel. But getting change of address proof will get delayed for some time. Now, the airtel has barred my outgoing and incoming calls. we are very much annoyed this kind of service provided by airtel. In this regard i have mailed to the apellet officer/Nodal officer/Ombudsman, but no response from them. we have made so many calls to customer care also. some CC Executives are telling it can be activated and some cc executives are replying as it cannot be activated. I have received your reply today.You have not taken care to clarify any of my queries mentioned in my complain.
1)There was a credit balance of around Rs 195 on the 7th April.I had mentioned in my complain that it may so happen that speed dial number 2 which had been prefixed by you people without giving it in my knowledge that it is for voice station may have been pressed by mistakenly by somebody.It can be very clear that after that number 2 speed dial being pressed the phone was kept lying and you people let it on the use mode till the balance was there.If I would have had a balance of Rs 600 then it would have been for 100 mins.The phone went off only when the balance became Rs 2.50.Generally when there is no conference n the phone from either side it automatically gets disconnected in 60secs or 90secs.Even if I had mistakenly dialed speed dial 2 it should have been switched off after 2 or 3 mins.I even do not know what this voice station is.You please let me know as to what did I hear or what did I speak during that 32mins.I believe you people are having record with you for atleast 30 days for security reasons.If you need any clarification you can call me at my phone number.if you have the same answer that it shall not be reverted you please let me know the higher ups where I can complain that is your superiors and ofcourse the TRAI.Please let me have the email address as to where i can write further.

But on 26Th Jan 2011 My this Internet service was shutdown by Co & I believe that in Jamanagar Municipal Co. But after three day i contact to customer care center where in charge reply me that my this Mobile Internet service will discontinue due to Minus Rs 10/- Balance in my account. when i reply him that which way my account balance is became in Minus Amount at that time call center call receiver reply me that you have activate F.M.Radio Mirchi Service in this Connection so his Charge rs 10/- for 7 day's debited in your account so i reply him that I have receive a SMS from Co. that this service was free of Coast then why you have debited amount from my account so she reply me that you have receive a call which charges was debited so i reply she that Incoming call charges is free of coast if it is not out of state & i have receive only a Company's Service Call which is not chargeable.
So she has connect my call with his senior officer who accepted my details & Offer me to Credited my service Day's for more Fifteen Day's. This is to inform you that I Subir Sarkar want to surrender the mobile of no.[protected] and my walky of no. 65350405is out of service since 15th and 60 days respectively. we lodged a complaint against this. My walky was not working since 60 days as mentioned earlier in 121. Inspite of lodging a complaint no neccessary action was taken. One of the customer care executives came to my house and issued a receipt regarding this problem and informed us that we need to go to saltlake to exchange the walky which is not possible for me. Informing that also didn't help. During buying, the dealer assured us that if any problem occurs in the handset or in the mobile set action will be taken promptly. But that did not happen and they are counting the bills for my unserviceable mobile set and hand set unnecessarily.As your customer service didn't take my problem seriously i want to surrender my sets within 3 days and according to my bill whatever payment is due i will pay it. In the beginning the payment you have taken as deposit for the hand set and mobile set i want it back. If you do not take my matter seriously then i will directly go to the consumer forum.
I, therefore want to surrender my hand set and mobile set. I hope that this request will be granted promptly.
