Dear Sir,

I was having an Airtel Vas+DSL connection vide Login ID / phone No. [protected],account No.14855005,Name Arun kumar aggarwal. at my residence - 216, C/ 7,Sector 8, Rohini, Delhi.
In the last week of Oct.09, I requested for its disconnection. The same was disconnected w.e.f. 06.11.09.The same was confirmed by an airtel executive over phone.
I got the bill for the month concerned ( Billing Period - 23.10.09 to 22.11.09) where prorata rent was charged up to the date of disconnection.It was fine, i paid the bill.

Since than i have not used either phone or internet.In the meantime i got various calls from airtel for various plans etc.,i refused every time since i did not want any service.
Now i have got another bill for the period 23.11.09 to 22.12.09 amounting to Rs. 716/-.
On contacting their customer care service i was informed that my connection has been reactivated again for the reasons best known to them only.
Moreover i never agreed/ asked for reactivation,neither i was informed about this.
It is a clear case o[censored]nfair practice adopted by the company to get business.
such kind of things are giving bad name to airtel.
I do hereby request to all concerned :
- to reverse this wrong bill of Rs. 716/- under intimation to me
- deactivate my account with immidiate effect under confirmation to me
- take appropriate action against the responsible staf[censored]nder intimation to me

AirTel — Wrong billing VAS

This is regarding a WRONG Billing on my Airtel post paid connection[protected]. On the 26th of July I received some hundreds of SMS messages that I have used Airtel Live services, while the truth is that I have never done anything like that and am not even aware of such a service. I had even switched off my phone to not receive those messages.

On receiving my bill I found there were about 224 SMSes and each charged at Rs.10! I found that all such activities have happened on 26th July from 7.58 am to 9.41 am.

I wanted to bring this to your notice that I have NEVER subscribed to any such service or used anything called Airtel Live ever. I have been following up with your customer care over phone, email and also in person (Begumpet office, Hyderabad) but the only solution they came up with was that I have to send an email to nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in and also to appellate.[protected]@airtel.in. It has been a week and no response so far! I hope someone will read this complaint atleast.

Please note that I have not made any use of Airtel Live services and I want these charges to be reversed. The technical person at the Begumpet office checked my phone and the SMSes that I received on that date, but could not offer any resolution after waiting there for 45 minutes. I am sure you will have the history of all the complaints and calls i have made to you - please check and DO reverse or waive off these charges. I am corporate user and have been using your services for the past 6 years and have never faced any such issue in the past, you can check my payment history and my SMS history. This kind of wrong billing and repeated answers from your customer service saying that i have sent those SMSes is just not appropriate and I certainly do not appreciate this form of harassment.

I hope there is a solution and i certainly am not going to pay that bill till I get a response.

    Hello, Myself Vishal Sharma, almost 15 days before, I started facing problem with Airtel Mobile office GPRS services, the websites were not opening up neither in my phone nor on my computer. I called their customer care deptt but it seems these guys think that their customers are just dumb. They assured me that you problem will be resolved within 24 hours but it didn't even after 240 hours. I keep telling them that this problem is area specific, its not working in that particular area I am residing at. Everytime I call them, they give me new service request number.

    The latest one is 30152504.

    I don't know how these guys even dare to send the bill on time though they don't work towards solving a problem within understandable time period.

    I am permanent user of airtel gsm mobile services. I have a motorola l9 handset. I choose the unlimited internet plan of Rs.395 . The problem is the very slow speed of my internet. I got only 1 to 2 kbps speed while the actual provided speed is 115.2 kbps verified by airtel.

      Dear Sir,

      I had shifted from my sion address in Mumbai on 24th Dec 2009 to my new house in Thane, Mumbai.
      after some 25 phone calls to the customer care team, they registered my request for the de - installation.
      as expected they did not send anyone for the job, and i had to call the local ASM directly for the deinstallation.
      the Horror started for the Re-installation in my Thane address. I have made 17 calls to the Customer care,
      and every time they have been sending Engineers for the Re installation in my OLD ADDRESS, and closing the call citing Wrong Address. In every call i had clearly mentioned my new address.
      Even the local ASMs, ZSM,s not cooperating in this regard.

      However the mandatory Rs. 300/- has been deducted from my Balance for the job
      As of now, I am at the mercy of Airtel to get help for the installation.

      Please suggest what should be my next course of action on this

        This is the third time I am registering my complaint against AIRTEL

        I am receiving nuisance SMS 57272 from AIRTEL and I am being charged for it.

        No action has been taken against my previous complaints.

        Can somebody tell me what step I should take against AIRTEL.

        They send nuisance SMS 57272. On top of that they are charging for it. This SMS is a gambling message.

        I want this SMS to be immediately stopped. Someone pls take action against AIRTEL

          i have requested so many times for circle change of my airtel postpaid number [protected] from Andhra Pradesh to Mumbai circle. i even send mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com and always got response like you request will be solve in next XYZ days..i also got reply from [protected]@airtelindia.com that circle change request will be resolve by 17th dec 2009. but nothing is done yet. i am always getting call from airtel customer care regarding service and i always told them this problem. they always reply that some one will reach me within next 2-3 days..and your request will be resolve. but still nothing is done. now i am fed up by calling airtel customer care. if nothing will be done in this week i will surrender the connection and will take service of other service provider.

          HI Pankaj,
          Thanks for quick response. hope my req. will be resolve. one more thing i want to add that i sent a mail reg. the same issue to [protected]@airtelindia.com today morning and i got reply that i should visit nearest airtel outlet (in mumbai) and provide all supporting docs with photo and pay 500 as deposit and get a new connection. i dont know, but this is not a good way to solve a problem. i know i can go to any service provider and by providing all docs i can get a new connection within minutes. i dont know why again n again they are asking me to deposit 500rs, although i already have 300rs as deposit with airtel AP and they never talk about refunding this amount. can you please suggest what i can do in such situation.

            when airtel had reduced their calling rates to 1ps per sec consumers had to pay Rs64 wherein outgoing calls to aitel is 1ps per sec and to other mobile is 1.2ps per and sms at Rs1 sec of late airtel has futher reduced from 64 to 33. wherein call rates to all mobiles is at one flat rate 1ps per sec and sms at .50ps.See how consumers are being cheated all those who have recharged with Rs64 to migrate to present plan have to recharge again.Is fair on part of mobile operators to play with consumers.why have we pay more,why cant those who have recharged with 64 enjoy the current plan of 1ps to all mobile and sms .50ps.I request T.R.A.I to look into the matter and get all the consumers on single platform without paying anything more.

              Two days back I already submitted my complaint regarding that I am receiving SMS 57272 from AIRTEL but still the issue is not solved .

              I am still getting the SMS 57272 and getting charged for it.

              Can someone pls look into this and stop such nuisance messages being sent to my mobile and not only that they are charging for it.

              This message is very irritating

                Pls. take up with the company and arrange to help me in getting my Deposit refund with over due interest.

                Airtel Broadband — Deactivation

                Dear Concerned,

                I availed Airtel Broand band services last year till 24-Dec -2009.

                I have asked for disconnection on 24- dec-2009 and I have cleared the unbilled amount, I also informed to collect their Landline & Modem from my neighbour as i was vacating that place.

                Problem :

                They havent disconnected the connection nor collected the equipment and keep billing me the rentals for every month till this date and sending me the mails for the same.

                My Earnest request you to solve this issue and need an explanation form the service provider.

                  I have been using airtel digital tv for last 1 year
                  as my 1 year pack is over,i recharged for 1 year south ultra by paying 3033 rs
                  but iam not getting gemini,maa tv and other telugu chaneels though i am paying more than last year
                  the brochure says south mega has south economy+ 15 channels+ any 2 south top ups.
                  list of long duration packs in page 4 of brochure says 275 for 10 months and use for 1 year
                  we called up customer care at least 4 times and got reply that south top ups ar only for new customers and not for existing customers
                  whether airtel want to retain old customer or want only new connections
                  we stay in hyderabad and watch telugu channels mostly and a reputed DTH like airtel doesn't give all telugu channels even at cost of morethan 300 rs per month,
                  we don't want 2 south language top ups but give atleast one language topup at least ie telugu for AP when we are paying more than 300 per month and renewing on higher package.
                  and give a helpline for internet as your customer care guys hardly understand the problem and guide us to call customer care before buying if brouchure has not mentioned that sooth mega pack has top ups only for new connections and not for renewals, which is ridiculous
                  we hope somebody thinks seriously and act fast

                    The complaint is against fooling the customers on following:-

                    If a client takes a wfi connection than he is charged Rs1500/- with installation of wifi router. However is he plans to stop using the services of Airtel even after 24 hours of the installation, he is not entitled to keep that wifi router for which he has paid Rs1500/-.

                    Even they withdrew normal modem earlier installed with the modem connection without giving any rebate. I don't know what do they think about customers.This is sheer case of ill treatment and fooling a customer

                    Request you to provide me adequate support to able to get refund of the unnecessary burden levied on me and also do provide due justice.

                    Airtel — vpn installation

                    We have requested for VPN Service on 29/07/08 in Okhla Branch receipt no. is 290007. Instead of many reminder to Mr. Rajesh Bawa and Mr. Sanjiv Kumar still it is not done. Kindly pay attention to the above matter.
                    i have gone through your email.i am just a simple reader not anyone from airtel.wanna give you suggestion on this issue.did you go through the policies and procedure before sign the contract.read it from the internet or any other resources.if they didn't provide it on any resources then u r safe .here is a gudluck for u.now its time to have your words with consumer court regarding your complaint. i think its free for the customers and if it is company fault airtel has to pay back your money and pay fine to the govt which is much more than ur amount.so go through the contact first.

                      Hi,
                      I would like to bring my complain in the notice which is related to my unbilled amount for the month of Dec 2009. At present I am in USA. But I have kept my Indian number on roaming so that i can get the sms's from my friends and my family members.

                      On23rd morning, I recieved a SMS that my unbilled amount is 12895. Today i got two more sms that my unbilled amount is 19644. then again new sms with amount 9958.

                      Intresting thing is that, I have not made a single out going call from my Indian number. I used to give only missed call so that my friends or family member can call me on my US number.

                      I don't know whether Airtel is charging me giving or recieving missed calls or sms's.

                      Please help me in this regard. Please see the below chain mails with Airtel customer care executives.

                      Just now I received a SMS that Your approximate unbilled usage as on 26 Dec 09 is Rs.9958.This amount includes the roaming usage. This is for your information only"

                      Can Anyone tell me what is going on there? First I got a SMS that my unbilled amount is reaching 19644, now this sms is saying that my unbilled amount is 9958.

                      First thing: How come my bill reached 19644 or 9958 without making a single outgoing call? I did send 10-15 SMS's which cost 14rs per sms. So it will not reach 19644 or 9958.

                      Second, I am just using my India number to give or receive missed calls or SMS's. I am not using it to make or receive any calls. I am here in US from last 8 months. This kind of bills I never received.

                      Please read my below mails to understand the problem and try to resolve this immediately.

                      CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS THIS? Is it kind of joke?

                      I am not making outgoing calls from my India number. I am just giving missed callls to my family. Now after receiving the sms from Airtel on 23rd I have stopped giving missed call also,

                      Only some missed call from some unknow numbers are coming.

                      My question is " How come my bill has reached 19644 when I have not made any outgoing call to india? I am using Airtel call home to call my family."

                      Is Airtel charging me for each and every incoming and outgoing MISSED CALLS?

                      I hope you will take this very seriously.

                      I know the SMS rates on international roaming. That depends on the International network operator too. I do use the SMS service but hardly 1-2 a day. To make a call I use Airtel Call home service.

                      Okie, I will wait for the bill generation date. SO that I can see the details of my bills.

                      I am in US from last 7 months. This is the first time it happened.

                      I hope my issue will be resolved and I will not end on this amount.

                        i have bought a sim 2 yrs back.and inbetween i didnt use that number..and before 2 months i used that number and they charged me 50 paise per msg.and when i tried using that number,it cums as sim card registration failed.wen i called customer care people they said like number willget recycled if sim is not used for 30 days.i am shocked hearing this info..please help me in getting back my number

                                  i bought data card from airtel on 09th december,2009. they chrgd 4,200 rupees.my number is [protected]. they said that the speed will be 325 kbps,but that was a false info,the speed is only 90 kbps. is it a broadband??? i complaind to customer service,but they simply said that they cant do anything and also the deposit amout (3700 + activation fee 500 rupees) is loss for me,,,what the hell is this? the company simply cheating people... who is the authority to control them??? now they disconnected my connection from 15/12/09. without giving any information.. so within 5 days i lost my money (rs 4,200).. i want to surrender the data card. they told that the deposit amount will not be return back.. service worst,after sales service worst,no responsible for customer,cheating every one and everything,,,, still am struggling with them,,,, what the government & troi is doing??/ simply sleeping ah....

                                    I have recently purchased a nokia 6303 multimidia mobile . I want to surf the internet and access e-mail on this. I have activated the AirTel GPRS service, but I am unable to connect to internet. I have contacted AirTel helpline, but the call centre executive does not know about nokia 6303.

I then asked them to return my 98 rupees. They refused to return my 98 rupees . I was not even able to deactivate by dialing *567# . . Now I have shifted to mtnl which is lot better, faster and ten times cheaper for surfing. Mtnl charges rupees 1 per mb or rupees 42 for monthly unlimited plan. I get actual speed of 100 kb per second using mtnl 3g .

                                        Today morning my Airtel connection showing “SIM card registering failed”. What is the meaning of that ? My No: [protected]

                                        I have also raised two cases (Ref no. F[protected] / 29998209 / F[protected] for verify address Verification again of my billing address. Then what is the use of loging case with airtel ??

                                        No body comes after that till now for any verification and my call and SIM get barred today morning.

                                        I bought new prepaid connection just 15 days back
                                        My old SIM was activated so I didn't use it
                                        I started to use it from last 2 days
                                        from today morning I am facing network prob
                                        when I call their customer care they are saying you need to replace the sim & for that you have to pay 100 Rs
                                        Why should I pay 100 rs??
                                        the prob is from their side
                                        what should I do now??

                                        AirTel — sim card issue

                                        i have a bought a new sim card in my near by shop, he said that it will be normal pack and i called customer service for plan change they said the scheme is NOKIA BUNDLE OFFER PLAN, i didnt buy that sim with nokia.

                                        I was getting angry on the shopkeeper because he gave me that sim card where i cant change my plan.Bcse in customer service, they said to ask the shopkeeper.i went and ask him, he said that the sim card provided from a wholeseller, he called that wholeseller in front of me.he said that sim is not in nokia bundle pack, he said that he got from AIRTEL DEALER only.

                                        now i cant change my plan and my tariff is nokia bundle offer.i am really fed up with this offer.i cant make add on facilities and the mainly no plan change.

                                        please provide proper reason for this.my num is [protected]..the num which im telling about is [protected].
