I had an Airtel post-paid mobile connection in Bangalore. Since I moved of Bangalore, I decided to terminate my connection. This includes de-activating my number and cancelling the authorised direct debit from Citibank credit card. I got on line with a customer service agent and cancelled the connection. I was told that everything will be settled correctly.
I believed that they will be doing their job sincerely since I did not have any unpleasant experiences with Airtel before. But then, four months later, when I happened to go through my credit card statement, I realised that they had been debiting money from it in the order of INR 1500.00 every month. I immediately called up the customer care regarding this and told them the situation. They took time and told me that they neither had any information on when my number was cancelled nor any information about my number in their database. Every customer service agent I spoke to gave the same response. So I escalated the issue to a Lead, and then a Manager. Since none of them were to offer me an explanation, they once again escalated it to Nodal Officers (Divyashree Towers, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore). These nodal officers are supposed to resolve issues much faster than their counter teams. They said they will look into it and get back to me in a week. In the mean time, I called up Citibank to terminate all direct debits on my credit card in a hope that no further direct debit will be made. But to my disappointment, the Citibank customer service told me that they have no such options to cancel direct debits and it is up to Airtel to cancel it. At this point I should say that Citibank is a useless bank that offers to no protection to its customers against such misuse of the cards.
After a week, I decided to call up the nodal officers in Bangalore and they still hadn't done anything about it. After this call, I called them every three days to know of the progress. I was so frustrated by what they were doing to their customers. This went on for about 3 more months. By this time, I almost lost INR 8000 on my credit card. At one point, they started terminating my calls, the moment they realised they were speaking to me. Now, I am planning to sue Airtel for fraudulent use of my credit card and Citibank for not offering any sort of protection to its customers despite bringing it their attention.
Please avoid using Airtel if you do not want to be cheated like this. It is high time you start taking a look at your credit card bills.

on 19.11.09 a person called for broadband connection from adyar kasturibai nager 3 rd st...i am dwelling in bharathi nager 3rd street thiruvanmiyur ch 41...for that the person approach me and got rs 1000 from me for broadband but now they told that is no network coverage area..but wn they called me i gave my address on that day he told me it was in network area but now thay refuse to provide connection and he gave the receipt for that paid 1000rs that SEF number is 958565...peson name sahid his number is [protected]..pls kindly take action for the above request else let me know by call or email the status...

I went to the Air Tel Office at "Arden Fair" Old Madras Road. I met the installation Manager. He promised to get back to me by next day. As expected he didn't and when I tried to call him, he didn't pick up. (Now I know the reason why he took my number when I met him- NOT TO PICK MY CALLS?) His number is [protected].
I expected AirTel to be the top service providers in this industry, but unfortunately, they are terrible. I would not advise anyone to try them. I have had one VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

in this connection their persons put a phone instrument and wired but the connection is not connect till today as on 2.01.2010.making complaints on 121 they assured they do in this matter. But nothing to be done till this time.
No body told what is the causes behind that.
Do the need full in this matter.

Your marketing rep came to my office taken order for broadbond, then next one month there is no reponse from your pondy office. I have called several time to your office and concern rep then i went to your office they are told me your area there no permission for us to give connection so we have cancelled your order. i was booked on 22.08.2009 my id no:PY0004804 without any information your staff had been cancelled my valueable order and their assured the advance amount they will return with in a month time, but still the date they have not return my money back. Being a big organization how you are treating your customer these kind of seating way. if your company will leave this much amount to any one of your customer without interest are penalty this habil will spail your company image. I think your organization don't have any educated and meatured employee.

Airtel Broadband — FALSE PROMISE AND NON RETURNING OF ADVANCE PAYMENT
this is saurabh khurana from meerut.i have applied for the airtel broadband connection. they take 2300/- Rs from me in advance for this.now they are saying that its not possible for provide a connection at that place although they had make complete fitting with wire there. as i had also the another connection of BSNL broadband but due to confirmation of this i had rejected the BSNL plan.and when i said regarding for my Ammount 2300/- Rs for returning then the answer was that we will return your amount after 45 days. so please help for this matter.
i will claim 50% interest for this matter as i have lost my one project that was completely based on internet service that i was expecting from them.
On 23rd November, 2010 a person called for broadband connection which i requested earlier for my residence: 783, 14th cross, K R Road, Jayangar 7th Block, Bangalore 560082. He came to my office and taken all the documnetaion and rs 1500. ( Application # TBLR0082754). At the time of application he confirmed that they feasibilty study has been done and they can give the connection within 7 days. On 25th November i got a call from Airtel again for address verification and they told that tehy will do the feasibilty study. I am quite confused why again feasibilty study would be happened? On 25th November whne i enquired about ny application status by calling customer care they said that it is no network coverage area.
I do not understand then why they told that they can giove the cooonection within 7 days on 23 rd November. Mr M S Hariprasad approced me, took all the desired documnet and confirmed that they can give the coonection within 7 days and feasibilty is there in my area on 23rd november. Sir I observe that your Mangalore office at Sibin complex works like a petty kirana shop .They say all ECS applcations received are promptly forwarded by then . There bis no trace of my ECS application. The employees feel they can fool me by giving some reason every time I approch them to enquire about the fate of my ECS request.
December 2009month billof Rs 661 is paid by me & gave them one more set of ECS ( copy as original is already given in December2009.) with a fresh assurence by one of the officer that it would be done & I need not payJanuary 2010 month bill as my Ecs will be activated by February 26. I have been told by him there is a cooling period of 45 days and it will be done on 26th February. But bill amount is not debitted through ECS to my A/C and I made the payment of the bill Rs 690 when he assured me late fee will not be collected & ECS will be activated immediatly . Please look in to the matter and reply me.
Same kind of scene occured with me as well. On 16th Sept an airtel executive Named Vinod Maheshwari came to my house and promised for airtel borad band connection. He promised to setup connection by 21st Sept. But when I called him on 22nd he told me to wait for couple of more days. That was last time he answered my phone call. After that day I repeated called him for next 5 days but there was no response from him. Finally after getting frustated I called the customer care number 44444121 and to my surpise I saw same behavior from them. Few executives hang up my call, few promised me about refund, few told me they cannot do anything as case is handled by back office (mentioning complaint number 80526 ) etc etc. Finally after almost a month I gave up and stop calling them.
To New Customer: My suggestion - Please don't go for this companies broad band connection. Even after reading all this complaints you want to go for it then take the connection use it for one month and then pay. As I am damn sure there quality of service related to anything is very bad.

We requested for broad band connection. A guy came at our door took the documents, PAN card photo copy, house rental agreement and took Rs.500/- He assured to get connection by 2-4 working day Its been more than a week.when we called the customer service they said there is no connection in my area and it might take one month i am very frustrated because i need to spend more hours in my office because i was not able to access my office computer from home. i was thinking that i will get the connection in 2 days the guy took the money promised me this and he gave me a phone number they are not giving proper answers.I would not suggest anyone to go for airtel its very bad
My name is Jacob based at Cochin. I had approached the Bharti Airtel Chnnel Sales Manager for a corporate broadband connection Mr. Sumesh K S at their Panampally nagar office. At the start i had received a smooth treatment the person collected lot of documents and finally a Cheque after which we were given a tentative date. On said date when I contacted Mr. Sumesh he said there some technical issues which will be sorted out in a weeks time. Now on he has stopped answering our calls.
Since we had no response we connected with the customer relations office and spoke to officer there who gave as the following ref: no: 43040760 dated Feb 15.
The entire process started on 31 Jan 2011 and we are yet to hear from Airtel regarding the same. Could anyone let us know how we can get the cheque back.

Two weeks back I requested for broadband connection 899 unlimited plan. One guy came and collected the documents with Rs 500. After that I was keep on calling customer care but they were not responding well. Lastly they told there is no feasibility so your application has been rejected.
I'm really unhappy with this response from airtel after waiting for 2 weeks to get the connection. The reason I opted for airtel was only because of their customer care.

He collected it 6 -7 weeks back. After a week we didn't hear anything, then we tried to call all (Arpit [protected], puspander [protected], Parsanth [protected] ) him but All are not confirm that when i get the connection also not confirm the process of getting back my money and AirTel customer care doesn't have any information about this.
Please anyone suggest me how to get either connection or my money back.

This is Vijay we have lodged 2 Time complaint that our land line is not working. once they gave Complaint no 6295664 by 6.15pm it will be solved, next day i called they said ur problem is rectified by the truth is not yet solved they lodged new complaint no is 6348934 by 7.18 pm it will be solved still the problem is not solve, please do not commit false promise being in service industry, the same problem with spice they close in shot time, i do not accept from air tel this service
