Sir/Mdm,
I have recharged my prepaid Airtel Mobile no. [protected] on 21st Sept,2009 with tariff reduction value voucher Rs. 35 to reduce STD mobile charges to rate of 0.50/0.60 Rs per min on Airtel/other mobiles. I was told that it is active with immediate effect for 30 days. I soon received a msg from Airtel ERecharge that "Recharge successful on[protected] at 08.47 PM". I was assured about STD call rate reduction. Still I checked on *111# about this and I got information that "Your temporary Service Class is 4160 with Expiry Date Oct20, 2009". Confirmed.
Today when I called on no.[protected] at about 5.55 pm on 22nd sept, 2009 and talked for about 6 minutes or max.7 min. and at ending call I received a msg that this call has been charged Rs. 7.00 at rate of 50 paisa per min. Enjoy rate of 50p/min.
I was shocked with this mischief officially made by Airtel. Soon I called on12144 and after complaining to customer care and then to a senior person in Airtel I was told that this card will activate after 24 hrs. from recharge. Who has the responsibility to tell about this at time of recharge and why was I assured by facility *111#. And if still Airtel somehow proves that this cheating is valid then how can it justify expiry of this facility in 29 days on 20th Oct, 2009 instead of committed 30 days.
In my belief it is clear cut default from service provider after taking charges nad exploitation of customer i.e. violation of consumer rights. I don't know how many customers have lost their money likewise.

on 28/7/2010, some body (his name Mr. manish & mobile no is [protected]) called me & and said to me that you have winner of splender hero honda bike so plz upload airtel prepaid recharge voucher of 2000Rs
after uploding plz come on patna airtell office & take your bike, just i have uploaded recharge voucher of 2000rs, but result is nothig after thar i have connect with patna custoner care, he said to me that in airtel no any loutry or such types of facilities, so that it is cheating...

but i want to know that why airtel people(mr. manish, & his mobile no-[protected]) is cheating with villagers, present Airtel repo is very bad & will bad...
what to do.. of my 2000rs, plz resolve this problem...
kindly take up the matter with the company and get the complaint solved.

    Respected sir , I am ImraN Ahmad advocate,we all of airtel old custmer, me and my all relative & frends are airtel user, mostaly we all o[censored]sing airtel 'Mobile Office' gprs service we spend money every month 450/-Rs, for 'M.O' gprs .
    But we are not happy with airtel because here in my city airtel is only normal gprs service not 'EDGE' and here other providers are 'EDGE' why, i want ask öne question that why airtel is back in services. With out airtel 'EDGE' we all of getting very poor and dirty surfing and downloading speed in airtel so we all of not happy with airtel and we all of and our city users decide to leave airtel service
    We have call many times to 'airtel C.C' and nodaloffice.upe' and write many letters to' up east airtel' but they don,t take any action to make airtel 'EDGE' in 'ikauna' so we all decide to write here about 'airtel careless services'
    Note- we all of want please make airtel gprs 'EDGE' in my town,coz airtel have everywhere 'EDGE' only NOT in my city 'EDGE' if airtel not making gprs 'EDGE' we can leave airtel and advice to other that dön,t use airtel thats it.
    We know if you want airtel can provide us 'EDGE' soon. And plz dont forget to chek a photo of airtel normal gprs network symbol those taken from my mobile.

    sir, i have recive a cal from airtel, but i don, t think that our problem is solved, fist u know what we want ? We want 'EDGE' service means airtel EDGE [ E ]gprs those service is not available in my city.
    And if you undrstand that we using third quality mobile no its you mistake we using nokia 5800, 5700 if i use other provider with gprs EDGE speed is getting 25to30KB/S And if i use airtel gprs without EDGE then speed is only getting 2to3 KB/S, so plz provide us airtel EDGE service for airtel better future.     I am using Airtel GPRS pack on my nokia C7, since few days i am unable to use internet on my cell data speed goes to 0 byte and got disconnection many time in a minute and its take long time to connect ..i cant log in in google talk ... its disconnect in few second.


    Even no response from customer care too.

      Hello!

      I got a complaint against AIRTEL mobile. Every day my friend is getting lots of messages in her mobile everyday to have friendship to a male person with their contact numbers. This is a sort of stupid activity encouraged among the public. Severe action should be taken against them as those messages are creating lots of confusions in a good family. Hope there will be a good solution for this. Is there anyone else who is facing this sort of problem

          Neither I asked for this facility nor used it.

            I am a 4 year old POST-PAID Customer([protected]) of AIRTEL MOBILE.

            I am not getting my bills/ statement of Airtel post-paid connection([protected]) from last two months. This is a regular practice of Airtel Mobile of not providing the bills on right time. I suspect that there is something wrong in my bill statement which I HAVE NOT USED. Now, they are asking me that they will disconnect my connection([protected]).



            Since, I am using this connection from last 4 years & a will affect my job on discontinuation of the services.

                    Airtel broadband was well below the minimum subscription for past 10/12 months. For this month, they show a usage of 20GB and have billed for this usage. During this period there was no change in the usage pattern. Airtel says - "our servers show you have used" - Router is secure (by password & MAC Filters) - there is no scope o[censored]nauthorised access. It is a clear indication that Airtel is ripping off.

                    Fail to understand why couldnt an alarm email / sms be sent when the limite was crossed or an undue change in usage pattern.

                    Airtel has a lot to explain.

                    Dear All
                    I took broadband connection on 12/01/10,bangalore. my plan was 598.but after the connection i came to know its 799 plan.in my acknowledgment also its written 598 plan and 500/-rs deposit. when i called up customer care they said that the application filled with 799 plan. how this can be possible when the executive (AN WAR) written in the acknowledgment 598 plan,that means to fulfill his target he has changed the plan on the original sheet.this means he has cheated. when we called up this person he is misbehaving and moreover he is blaming me that i'am lieing.we clearly spoke with him that we don't want the unlimited package just to check the mails we took the 598 plan.i want to know why this kind of mis selling is going on????my request to you is to take a action against this executive & see please nobody gets cheat the way i got.

                      Today when I called customer care,upon telling my name I came to know that the SIM had not been registered under my name.

                      It has been 4 years and it would be very diffficult for me to change my SIM and impossible to change my name.

                          My pre-paid mobile connection no. [protected] received a SMS on 11.09.2009 saying that "Congrats! You have been chosen for a FREE trial of Matrimonials on Mobile. Your trial ends tommorrow & you will continue getting Matrimoney Alerts at just Rs.10 for 10 days. Dial *321*11#(toll-free) to enter your matrimonial profile instantly! To deactivate your FREE trial send STOP to 121."

                          After receipt of this message, no. of attempts were made on 11.09.2009 and thereafter every day to STOP this unwarranted VAS but every time the reply from the Service Center was "We are unable to process your request. Please try later."

                          Till date no positive reply has been received.

                          Airtel mobile prepaid charges — Unwarranted VAS charges

                          On June 14th onwards although I had NOT subscribed to any VAS services I started getting 'Thought for the Day' and Hindi film gossip information via SMS messages and I am being charged at Rs 3 per day for this nonsense.

                          I talked to a 121 operator and I was advised to send an SMS to 52206 with a text UNS, assuring this will unsubscribe all such services which I have done. I have done that and hope that this will take care of the issue.

                          I cannot understand how Airtel gets the right to enroll us for services and start charging us for it. Also, I cannot understand why I have to waste time to try and stop this.

                          Although the amount of Rs 3 per day is small, with tens of lakhs of pre-paid customers it is a lot of free money for Airtel at the consumer's expense. The government should put a stop to this highway robbery.

                          Airtel prepaid mobile service — Provision of unwanted/unsolicited services and deduction of charges without consent

                          I got a free AIRTEL prepaid sim, with mobile number [protected], when I bought a NOKIA duel sim hand set in September 2011. I got it activiated by paying Rs.100 and getting the talk time credited. I got a suggestion on the hand set to opt for missed call allet, which I activiated one. Immediately I got an SMS saying that the service has been activated and Rs.15 deducted from my balance. There was alsos a number on which I could discontinue the service. The service is nothing but an SMS along with some advertisement immediately after a missed call. Most of the missed calls are only advertisement calls from airtell only as I have not given this number to anyone. Infact the missed call automatically comes in the hand set and the so called service is nothing but a dubious way to fleeze the unwary customers. On realising this, I opted for discontinuing the service, by dialing the number they had provided. After a few days I got an SMS saying that the missed call allet service will be activiated in 3 days and my account debited Rs.15. I immediately replied not opting for the service. In spite of this my account was debited Rs.15. Like this, it has happened two times so far. My account now shows a balance of only Rs.27 or so, inspite of the fact that I have made only a few test calls.

                          Airtel prepaid mobile service — Re.30/- detected without permission/without activating service.

                          I have not activated the Airtel Friends Chat service. I have received a message on 5th march 2011 @9.45 am. ( Can I be your friend? Reply to this message at just Rs.2/- sms or check my profile at.......) .I have not send any sms to this service. But at 1:32 pm I have reecived message as (your friends chat id is 8653627. You have been charged Rs.30/- for 30 days.).

                          Without activating any service Airtel had deducted Rs.30/- from my account. So I want Rs.30/- back to add in my account balance.

                            Dear Sir,

                            This is to bring to your notice my complain against the Airtel Broadband Services people. I am residing in Sai Sagar Tower(Goregaon-East). The Airtel staff had come and placed their stall in our society premises around 24th August09. On enquiring we were told that they would install the connection in max 7 days and asked us to make advance payment. We gave them a cheque of Rs.1500/- thru HDFC bank. The cheque details can also be provided.

                            Its been more than 20 days and there seems be to no definite answer from them. We have been in touch with Mr. Tiwari (cell no: [protected]) on a regular basis but there has been no satisfactory answer. There have been false promises given by them and on requesting them to refund the amount they have not yet reverted.

                            Request you to please take an action against them. They do not respond to calls and neither do they reply back.

                              Complaint Regarding: Reduced 60 rupees from my main account balance.

                              Dear sir,

                              am using N96 mobile......was sending bulk sms to my frnds on 19 - 09 - 09 11.00 A.M i guess......(approx)

                              if we select more than few contacts depends upon the memory......it will be stored as mms......but its actually SMS not a mms.

                              sending the messages to my frnds.....msges are failed and stored in outbox and moved that msges from outbox to drafts deleted some of the contacts and sent it to my frnds as sms.......even my frnds received it as SMS not as mms.......i[censored] want to verify check this number [protected] whether it is received as sms or mms.

                              but in AIRTEL they have charged 60 rupees for sending sms even i have activated 49 booster pack(3 months free sms). Ridiculous how can this happen

                              better changed your software and recognize whether it is mms or SMS.

                              consider this one as serious complaint.

                              i was speaking to Ram kumar TL(i think so) on 19 - 09 - 09 08.33 P.M. I said that i dindt send any SMS but from his point of view he is denoting it as mms.

                              kindly clarify regarding this.

                              prepaid airtel — particular number rejected

                              I have already coplainant before 2 days at 121. It was told by one trishala that the problem will be cure within 24 hours. but till the time problems are not resolved. I am unable to connect particular nubers .eg. [protected].please do needful.

                              Respected sir,
                              I have buy an airtel prepaid connection the number is [protected] few months back and the number was rejected and on that number there was balance above rs100 and 1 year tariff and i had a talk with customer care and the shop owner from where i have purchase the number and also with the marketing manager Mr A.P singh of allahabad no body is listening and saying we cant help out and saying thats not my mistake and saying that go and sue the airtel company .
                              So please help me out in this matter as mistake is not done from my side it is the company mistake and please inform me as soon as possible and i will be very thankful to you.

                                Hi sir. My name is Ramganesh and i am from chennai. We in our organisation 'the professionalss' have been using the airtel connection from the past 3 years and using 8 CUG connection. Last month we changed our office to ashok nagar from valasaravakkam. And requested for the change of the connection to the respective address on 28th august 2009. They said that it will be done before 17th september but still they are not responding correctly. They are telling that we have requested for change in connection after 16 september. And they are telling that we have submitted that request in written form but that's totally false. No one from our organisation has did anything like that.
                                more than that they are giving false promises from 12 of september that next day their employee will come. But no one came. But only a boy (he should be around 12 yrs old)came with few wires. And went without doing anything.
                                Though we are using airtel from long time they are not giving us proper response. This is the first time i am registering a complaint against anyone. I hope the needed actions will be taking. Awaiting reply. Thank you.

                                Airtel Broadband — Address Change

                                Hi,

                                This is Neeraj Suryawanshi, I am using Airtel broad band from last 3 Months Now my adress has been changed to new location.
                                Before taking your connection I already mention that I need's to change my current adress in comming day's and they will agree on that, Now your company want me to pay 600 Rs for change my address within the same city near by location. Its not fare at all.

                                I reguest you to please look into this.

                                Airtel Broadband — Changing details

                                My Airtel broadband was shifted from Ghaziabad to Delhi after 3 months. Then without my concern they have changed my plan to 899, I have been asking them repetitively for changing the plan but they are not doing so, and not even entertaining my call.I am really fed up of this, I have to chase them daily but in vain.

                                  from your sevice airtel radio. Already i given comments in indian consumer complaints. and i am unable to using customer care . it is not working correctly form my number. last 15 day back i lost
                                  amount of 40 Rs.(20+10+10 ) now i am afraid to recharge amount in my number. thats way i am not recharging in my number . so please de-actuvate airtel service and refund my lost amount.

                                  My number [protected], since past 3 years i am using this no, i do no why you people have been deducting some amount against Airtel Radio Service, I have not activated radio service.
                                  Really i am fed up of this service.

                                  I request you to cancel the activation of Airtel Radio service,
                                  and also i request not to deduct from my account against those service.

                                    I am a Airtel customer for the last 4 more years..
                                    My mob number:[protected]
                                    From kerala...
                                    Before the last two months I got an sms which describes an offer that,
                                    Daily 100 sms free only at Rs 1 daily.. That 1 rupee takes for the first sms we send... And also this is for life time... And also they gave a number to activate this offer.. And I called that number, again they said these all things in malayalam... I like that offer and activated it.. Note that, that offer is for life time and it effects only sms...
                                    After all, the last week I got another offer that,
                                    call charge reduced to 60 paise for on year and also get 75 talk time with recharge of 175 rupees... And also give a number for details as usual.. I called and they told about that offer, I realised the things and i done that recharge...
                                    Now what happened,
                                    My sms offer get cancelled... Please note that this call charge offer and the previous sms offer have no any relation... Both different route...
                                    I called customer care and told this, they said that sms offer will gone with this 175 recharge.. But i told them I need that sms offer than this call charge offer... They told tomorrow that is at 17th sep 09, note that this incident happening at 16th, at 5:46 pm they will reactivate sms offer by cancelling this 175 offer... But till 5:13pm that offer have not reactivated.. So i called customer care again, they told to wait untill 7:14 pm.. I agreed.. Then after 18th and today 19th, till now they have not done it... I called again the customer care, they told, there is no option to deactivate current and activate previous... Now what Can i do.. Please register a case against this bledy airtel...
                                    This is not the first incidence I faced.. There are so many things against this airtel..
                                    Once they gave an offer that to send certain number of sms within a period(period they mentioned) and get that total amount spent for sms will credited back on another day(date mentioned in offer).. I tried and not credited that amount on that specified time.. I called them, and they simply left the matter saying that offer is not for you..
                                    And this like many more, like increasing ISD call charge without any notification... Taking subscription charge for using Airtel live which i have not used or even not heard...
                                    And more...
                                    I am first time here in this consumer forum and i don't know what will happen after posting this... Anyway anyone reading this post can do anything then please do, my complete support will be there... Thanks in advance....

                                      I am Yogesh , I changed my prepaid number [protected] to corporate (199) post paid, through Tele Star Communication Pvt . Ltd.

                                      I have included 3 numbers in my CUG group which are [protected],[protected],[protected].

                                      Now i had recieved my bill in which Rs.900 is extra included, call on all CUG numbers are included in bill.

                                      So kindly waive off the extra amount and included above mention numbers in my CUG group

                                        I am the user of Airtel mobile no [protected] from Goa. On 15/9/9 at 10.10 am I got a message from 5432105 telling that that "Thank you for subscribing to matrimony ob Mobile Rs 10 for 10 days .To create your matrimony profile dial *321*11# (toll free). To deactivate send STOP to 121.
                                        I never subscribed to any of such things and I am 57 years old. i do not know to send sms on mobile at all. I just manage to make and receive calls. Now I lost a lot money more than Rs.200.00
                                        I do not know how the money cut.What system is this simply making a mebership and money being cut I called custommer care nothing is done. i am loosing my money everyday. I do not know to check i seek the help from others. Is this customer service or customeer squezing done by Airtel. I am told by people to complain in Consumer court.

                                        I do not know want to do I want my money back, it is nearly Rs.300.00.

                                        I hope you can do something to help me.

                                        Airtel — Complaint about airtel matrimony subscription

                                        I've never subscribe airtel matrimony service, but it deducts 20 rupees after fifteen days regularly from my account. A msg displays (thanks for using airtel matrimony wap page display, u have been charged 20 rs.) )Please stop the service.
