My prepaid number is [protected], which I own for last 6+ years. Last year i have to shift to some other city for 1-2 years. i activated my number with life time plan of airtel. I was told at their New delhi Friends colony community centre exclusive outlet, that now when ever you comeback you can deactivate it and it will be working with the normal existin plan you opt.

In October 2008 I tried recharge it for 200 rupees and nothing happened in it and no result came for those 200 rupees spent in the prepaid coupon. neither I got any balance nor my phone was having network.

Yesterday I tried again to use that sim but no network is found.

The customer care says that your sim has been deactivated due to non use and non recharging. which is very amazing, i dont want to change my old number, whenever i will be back to delhi i will use the same number.

Cutomer care says that it may be allotted to someone else, which is not till now.

Why this company plays with their customer lke this, nobody knows.

Request you to kindly look into my matter and help me with the genuine result and justice.

ME PRATIK JAIN OF KODERMA (JHARKHAND) IS A USER OF AIRTEL PREPAID MOBILE, ON 31/03/09 MY PHONE GET LOCKED & IT ASKING A PUK CODE. WHEN I DIALLED TO CSC 121
THEY TOLD ME TO VERIFY THE MOBILE NUMBER AND THE USER NAME. I TOLD THE NAME & THE ADDRESS BUT THEY ARE TELLING THAT THE NAME YOU ARE PROVDING IS WRONG ME USING THIS CONNECTION FROM LAST 3 YEARS & I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE SEVERAL VAS SERVICES THAT TIME THEY DID'NT CLAIMED ME FOR THIS..NOW WAT TO DO IN THIS CASE. PLEASE HELP.

the complaint is that i cannot make any calls nor can i receive...it says error in network connection.
i try a number for thousand times then only it connects but gets dissconected in 8 secs on its own...
cant even receive calls...
now this is a major problem as i cant even call 121 to lodge a complain...

ONE OF MY COLLEGUE PRAVEEN KAKOLANGARA USED MY PASSPORT ID TO TAKE A POSTPAID CONNECTION (Mobile:[protected]), ONLY EMAIL ADDRESS OF CONCERNED PERSON HIS MENTIONED IN CONNECTION DETAILS([protected]@yahoo.co.in).

HE MIS USED IT AND HE DISCONNECTED THE NUMBER [protected] WITH PENDING BILL OF RS.2172 . AND NOW AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE IS DISTURBING ME FOR THE PENDING BILL. I REQUESTED THEM FOR THE CALL DETAILS, BUT THEY ARE RUDE AND WANT ME TO PAY THE BILL FIRST. THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING THE CALL DETAILS FOR REGISTERING COMPLAINT OR TO CLAIM FROM HIS FAMILY.

SINCE AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE ARE FORCING AND DISTURBING I HAVE ACCEPTED TO PAY THE AMOUNT, BUT I NEED THE PROOF FOR THE CALL DETAILS. FOLLOWING IS THE MAIL SENT FROM AIRTEL.

I WILL NEVER EVER GO FOR AIRTEL as it's support SUCKS... (Airtel Karnataka)
No prompt response,
they will intentionally disconnect the call while on 121,
no call back,
no proper updates or responses,
false promises,
play with customers,
charge without justification,
1st level support agents are most of the times advised not to escalate to floor mgrs if customer asks for,
late pament charges levied on customers no matter the bills are generated and delivered or not,
if their billing server goes down on or before the customer's due date-customer will have to bear the late payment charges, , ,
horrible support,
deplomatic answers and no workarounds as well,

Yeasterday I have received call from [protected] by Airtel Customer Care informing that I have not recharge of Rs.200/- the minimum amount which should be recharge in every six month because of life time connection.

But i have rechaged of Rs.200/- whose details are confiremed by Airtel SMS service while recharge. I have that SMS in my mobile. Details given below:-

Talktime - Rs.100.00
MRP - Rs.200.00

When I received call from [protected] computer says please recharge min of Rs.200/- otherwise your phone's services will be discontinued.

After that I have informed to customercare at [protected]to Mr.Anil and Mr.Dharmesh about my Last recharge and about the call received. But they said you have rechaged with Rs.100/- only (But Recharge was of Rs.200/- as informed above ) and informed a new thing that inspite of recharge of Rs.200/- you have to consume Rs.200/- within 6 months if not then services will be discontinued which is not informed by company while I take the connection.

Now sir, Please tell me what I can do to continue services.

Please help me.

i m getting calls from unknow number the number is [protected]. can u plz give me details of this number.

I got airtel postpaid connection on Feb 2009. Till now I have not received any bills either by softcopy or hard copy or not available in airtel.in site but they expect me to pay the bills to avoid barring of outgoing calls.

I lodged a complaint with airtel 121 and they told there is problem in their side with the billing. I have got many complaint number reference SMS's from them that they are working on the issue.

Still I get SMS's asking me to pay the bill even though airtel itself has not sent the bill.

Today my outgoing has been barred!!!

I had to call them and explain the whole thing happening for a month! They themselves should be able to understand my problem looking at the complaints I lodged with them before barring my outgoing calls!!

Moreover, they say that I have to pay fine for "Late payment" !!! When the mistake is 100% with airtel, why do I need to pay fine for Late Payment!!! They told me it would be reimbursed/discoutned in next billing cycle. Who knows if it will be reimbursed/discounted or not? First, why do they want to add "Late Payment" fine now and discount later when the problem is with them? They should not include that at all!

If I get that in my bill, I will go to the consumer forum!

Hi,
The Ebill facility for airtel is really worst. We are not able to retrieve the bill from the site. Also Airtel does not send the monthly e-bill to mail ids. In this era bills are required on the email, so request to take action on this. This has been informed to the Airtel consumer care many times yet no step has been taken.
Let me know regarding this how to proceed further.

I HAD COMPLIANT ABOUT TO DISCONNECT THE SERVICE OF AIRTEL NO[protected] ON 14TH MARCH IN WRITTING TO 121 AS WELL AS CONSUMER COMPLAINS FORUM, BUT TILL TODAY THERE IS NO ACTION TAKEDN PLACED BY AIR TEL OR CONSUMER FORUM.

I HAD MENTIONED THAT FROM13 MARCH ONQARDS I AM NOT GOING TO PAY ANY BILL FOR THE SAME AS I HAD PAID 2410 RUPEES AS PER AIRTEL COSTOMERCARE SERVICE PERSON ADVIED TO DISCONNECT THE SERVICE.

TODAY I CALLED 4 TIMES TO 121 ATLAST I CONNECTED WITH MS POOJA AND I ASKED ABOUT THE SAME SHE SAID THAT THERE IS NO REQUEST SHE CAN FIND FOR THIS NUMBER, I REALLY
CANT UNDERSTAND THAT HOW AIRTEL WORK?????? THOUGH I HAD GIVEN REFRENCE NO[protected]


PLEASE DO TAKE SOME ACTION AGAINST AIRTEL AND TRY TO GIVE US JUSTICE. AS THESE COMPANY PEOPLE SEND SOME PEOPLE TO COLLECT THE MONEY FOR THE SAME FORCEFULLY BY KEEPING THIS SERVICE CONTINUE AND CHARGING LIKE ANYTHING WE REALLY DONT WANT SUCH HEADECHE. PLEASE ADVICE ABOUT THE SAME

Hi Myself Swapnil Prakash Pednekar,

I did complaint that my incoming calls and sms are not working dated on 24 March 2009. I got universal reply that your problem will be solved within 24hrs. But 96hrs passed but still there is no positive response from Airtel customer care. Within this period i did so many calls to customer care but they said the same thing. I did mail also. I got reply that my sms problem will be solved on 27March2009 and my incoming call problem will be solved on 1st April 2009. I dont understand what the hell they are doing there. It is absolutely bad service they are offering to customer. If they are taking such a long time to solve customers problem then i must say that this is absolutely useless service they are offering. I am very disappointed with the customer care response.

I am tired of airtel. I took one number from airtel in January'09. my first bill got generated on 6th feb and due date was 24th. I paid my bill on 17th feb and then after every 10 days they bar my service and then calls from customer service centre people also dont attend my calls and people from their call center call me and talk to me rudely.
I being a working women have no help to follow up, still i went to their centres and tried connecting their nodal officer and all. they do not reply to me.
emails say call us on 121, when i call on 121 they dont pick the call. they have been harrasing me for past two months.
Please help me.

I'm vasanthi using the mobile number [protected], previously I used the number [protected] those two belongs to Airtel prepaid connection. In this one number is owned by name and other is owned by my brother's name. I forget which number I owns.
Can I know which number I owns.

Those two numbers belongs to same address. C/O P.Ramudu. He is my father.

Can u suggest me how to know who is the owner of the mobile number as early as possible.
