    One they bombard the customer with irrelevant push messages. Once I accidentally clicked the link on the push message i was redirected to airtel site. and then i got this message "Your account has been deducted Rs 30 for java game subscription package".
    In first place i never wanted any subsciption, and did'nt place any request for the same. Also they never asked me before deducting the amount and told me only after deducting the amount.
    This is ridiculous, harrasment of customer. The customer care guys say that they can't refund the subscription amount.
    I have been a prepaid airtel customer for last 7 years they do this to me and worst of all nobody is there to hear.

    Guys never subscribe to airtel. they coin the customer.
    I am planning to move consumer court, airtel guys if you are seeing this.
    I am user of prepaid card of "airtel". my mobile number is [protected]. my balance has been reducing by Rs5/-for "masti pack " facility. however I have not activated nor request for the same. many times I have requested to stop this facility to your call centre. but there is no response till today. every time they assuerd that within 24 hrs this facility will be stoped & and unautorised deducted amount will be credited in the balance .that is their standared reply. Not only that, i have sent 3-4 SMS also as per call centre "UNSUB MASTI 53030 ". in reply, I have been getting msg." sorry, you are not registered for this facility". if I am not registered for this facility then why my balance is reducing time to time.kindly look into the matter & request to stop this facility immediately and give credit of my unauthorised charges.

      It is too sad for a person with a social stature as Lecturer in Computer Sc., to again and again call up Customer care and waste the precious time talking with your negligent, inefficient and ignoring Customer Care Executives.

      This is to bring to your kind notice that I am using the GSM Mobile Connection [protected] since October 2005. I have been a loyal customer but for the last 5-6 months, I am facing a problem as under:

      I have got activated a package of Rs. 49/- p.m., on which I am provided local calls of Rs. 50/- and STD Calls worth Rs. 50/-. But this package was activated twice, by the fault of AIRTEL only. I again and again called up Customer care. But no solution has been provided yet. For more details, you can confirm with the call records, and the following reference numbers.

      Before Deciding anything or even replying to me, please go through all the details w.r.t. reference numbers given in this mail, only after that you will find all the wrong done to me by your CCEs.
      All the calls have been made after a lot of sufferings, harassments and mental pressure.

      During atleast 25 calls in the previous 20 days, I have wasted precious time of at least 25*10=250 minutes i.e. more than 04 Hours approximately.

      Other than these I have been receiving 2-3 calls daily regarding pending bill payment, which should have been adjust in the waiver amount. Again these calls have wasted appx. 1 Hour.

      I am not only asking about the waiver grant, but also the answer for all of sufferings and harassment I have faced due to negligence of the Customer Care Executives, who represent Bharti Airtel.

      I have faced a lot of mental stress during this period and am unable to concentrate on my day to day duties. Your negligence is showing adverse impact on my job too.

      Airtel — Made false commitment on postpaid connection

      Hi Forum,

      AIRTEL has really brought trouble in my life after i took one post paid number from them ([protected]).
      Representative from AIRTEL gave me this number with a commitment of tarrif. When i just used the number i found that it was all false commitment, then i stopped using that number. Now AIRTEL call center make number of call me (on my present number) for paying unncessary money for there charges. I am realy fedup due to this. I don't know what to do.

        i have a Airtel jodipack prepaid connection since long which numbered [protected] & [protected]. Suddenly 0n 27-11-08 one of mobile number [protected] was barred for outgoing calls showing balance as Rs 0.00, while my other jodi number showed available balance and tarrif validity and working normal. Since i bought jodi pack connection long back to avail good facilities provided by Airtel, barring one of such connection and that too without any information does suit to the reputation of Excellent Service Provider AIRTEL. pl take a note of it and allow me to continue the jodi pack facilities as used to.

          have a problem of deduction of Re1/of balance from my account every time i switch off & switch on my mobile.i use a NOKIA N70 mobile i switch it on &off when i get stuck with the appln device.this has been going on above one month but some balance is returned back when i called to the coustmer care .but a permanent solution could not be found . i have a free joke pack subscribed on 27/11/08, which i don't get, hello tune for 7 days, beep balance running in my mobile service. i request you to do the needed help of serving the problem .thanking you in anticipation of service

            Hello,
            I had an Airtel Landline telephone No 41572597 for a period of one year. I shifted to the govt accomodation at Paschim Vihar (Sunder Apartments) and requested on customer care number to shift my telephone (4th June 2008). They conveyed to me that it would take approximately 20 days for shifting to my new accomodation. I waited for appr one month and the telephone was not shifted. I received the first call from Airtel Customer care sometime in the month of July about outstanding bill for the month. I told the person on line that the phone is on shift and has not been shifted to my accomodation by then. They said that they would get back on the issue. Next call I received again next month in August when I made a written communication to Airtel through email. They sent a confirmatory mail of receipt and never got back. Every month thereafter I was receiving a collection call for Rs 1200 that I had been billed for the month of June- July 2008. This is leading to a lot of harassment for a petty amount of Rs 1200. The amount is not significant, however, I would like to fight against such fundamental issues with such faceless office and arrogant call handlers at the service provider level.

            Airtel Landline DSL — Denial of My Access on Net

            Dear Airtel,

            REGISTRATION FOR NET ACCESS FOR LANDLINE DSL NO. [protected] A/C NO. 13687313.

            I visited your office at 159, Ind. Area Ph.1 Chandigarh and handed over all
            the
            documents required to provide me access for my a/m connection.
            The lady out there promised me that it will be done on the same day itself.
            But
            to my horror and dismay. you have not bothered at all to provide the
            service to
            your customer at all. My dear this bad service to your customers will not
            lead
            you anywhere and I have half the mind to switch over to a better service
            provider. the e-mail ID was also intimated in writing i.e.
            [protected]@gmail.com. kindly wake up and do the needful at the earliest.

            Airtel - Landline — Harassed in Shifting

            This is to inform you that, I have faced a lot of problem while shifting my land line from A-52, Ground Floor, Ashoka Enclave Part – II to 107, 1st Floor, Ashoka Enclave Part – III.
            My land line number is –[protected] with account Number 13153748 registered in the name of Manish Anand. I requested the shifting of this land line with request number[protected], the line men came and did all the wirings but without dial tone. When I called up Airtel the said that it will get activated within 24 hours but was not done after making several calls, I decided to go for disconnection and discontinue this service.
            It is ridiculous, disgusting and very cheap behavior from a service provider like Airtel.

            Airtel Landline DSL — Pathetic after sales services

            I got a conncection of airtel almost 5 months back for landline and broadband. All the instruments including Modem and telephone instruments were provided by the company. After 2 months due to faulty instrument/line the earpiece volume of the instrument could be barely heard. I registered a complaint on helpline, to my surprise the complaint was closed without even a visit. Second time someone visited but this time also complaint was closed saying that instrument has been replaced. Third time again complaint was lodged, this time someone from company technical team came and told that instrument is faulty, but as per company policy we can only provide you the second hand instrument. This shows completely unprofessional behaviour of the company and its personnel. Highly pathetic after sales services and I had to opt for disconnection of services of the provider and opt for another service provider.

              Fed up with the increasingly terrible service from Airtel -- and after 2 months of registering complaints about network coverage in Marathahalli area -- I went and took a new GSM connection from another service provider (BSNL).

              Why? For the past 2 months, my Airtel phone cannot be reached almost 60% of the time. For the past 1 week, there is no signal whatsoever from roughly 6.00 AM to about 9.00 to 9.30 AM. When contacted, the Airtel Customer Care will blandly say that there are "some issues" with Airtel Digital (what on earth is THAT) and that this will be rectified "soon."

              Anyways, the unfair trade practice part...

              I was trying to do a selective call divert to my new number. Feeding the new number (from the handset) results in an error message of :

              "Cannot save your changes to the network. Try changing settings later, or disconnect data connection and try again."

              Neither was the data cable, or GPRS connection, active on my handset.

              Calling the call centre was absolutely no use. They tried to get rid of me by saying these:

              1. The call divert has to be done from the handset only.

              2. Since I had Voice Mail activated, I should first disable that, and then try to divert.

              Finally, a very assertive tone and a raised voice resulted in the Call Center agent admitting that AIRTEL WILL NOT PERMIT DIVERSION TO BSNL NUMBERS as they do not have an “interconnect agreement” with BSNL. Bear in mind that "interconnect agreeemnts" have nothing to do with call forwarding -- they have to do with roaming !!! The call centre is deliberately giving fales "pseudo-technobabble" to confuse and drive away customers.

              I asked for a complaint to be registered and a docket number given, as I wanted to complain to TRAI.

              Airtel initially refused to register a complaint. Again, a raised voice and an aggressive request to escalate the call to an on-duty manager -- followed by a 5 minute hold (I timed it!) -- resulted in a very reluctant registration of the complaint.

              BTW, the manager did not come on line -- in itself, a serious service lapse by Airtel Customer Care, since I had specifically asked for the on-duty manager.

              1. Does any lawyer here know if Airtel is legally right in refusing customers to divert calls to another operator?

              2. Does not denying call diversion to only BSNL numbers amount to an unfair trade practice by Airtel?

              3. Can customers experiencing bad QoS (Quality of Service) demand compensation from Airtel – for example, a waiver of the monthly fixed fee?

              Anecdotally, I have heard that Airtel has offered upto 20% reduction on monthly bills to customers who have taken them to court in Bangalore. I do not have positive proof though. The reduction was just so that these customers would withdraw the cases filed against Airtel.

              Why am I continuing with Airtel? Only because I have had this number for the past 9 years, and I cannot switch it off overnight. The transition will have to be done over a period of time.

              And Airtel is making very sure that the "exit barrier" is set so high that only a very determined customer will indeed walk off from the Airtel network !!

              Inputs on my questions are eagerly awaited.

              And if any senior person from Airtel is reading this -- your company is rapidly becoming a management case study on HOW TO IRRITATE CUSTOMERS AND DRIVE THEM AWAY PERMANENTLY.

              I just realised that they wont allow you to divert to other networks! What a pain! If you want to sue them, I am willing to join the cause (but cant help on the funds issue, the economy being the way it is!) Cant wait till mobile number portability comes in.

                Sub: Regarding recovery of Validity charge in spite of having Life time validity

                Dear Sir,
                I recharged my cell phone bearing no [protected] on 21-11-08 with Rs 200.00 from one of your authorized Recharge points I learnt from the message sent to my phone that talk time of Rs 110.00 only was added to my balance
                I contacted your Customer Service Centre over phone immediately after. I was given to understand that validity charge for 30 days had been recovered in addition to usual Tax..
                I informed the Officer attending my call that when I am having Life time validity how further validity charge for 30 days could be deducted. I also mentioned that I had recharged with Rs 200.00 on several other occasions earlier but no validity charge had ever been deducted. I requested him to verify my records presumably preserved in your system. He replied in the negative on the plea of secrecy and expressed his inability to redress my grievance.
                Subesequent to my interaction with your Customer Service Centre I received one SMS from no’ 876’ requesting me for feed back with ‘Yes’ if I am satisfied with the interaction else ‘No’. I had replied ‘No’ to the said number as requested.
                I would request you to kindly appreciate my logic and credit the amount recovered, to the balance of my talk time immediately or send me a copy of your Rules and/ or Regulations justifying your action.
                In the event of failure to do so within 15 days from the date of receipt of this letter, I will be at liberty to move the appropriate Forum for reddressal of my grievance with cost and expenses.

                    During Use of AIRTEL GPRS connection sometimes after 15 MIn or sometimes 30 Min. data send and receive of data stops and when we again estabilish connection then works fine for some time .

                    IN Night after 12.00AM it happens in every 5-10 MIn.
                    When I use gprs, a balance message is received in each 5-10 minutes. My phone does not reconnect to net (for about 10-15 seconds) when the message is recieved. I contacted the customer care to stop the service message and they told me that this cannot be stopped as it's a BASIC SERVICE. I'm sure that they are SENDING THE SERVICE MESSAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GPRS SESSION with a simple PURPOSE - to annoy the customer and lessen the usage.
                    Note that the same service message (for gprs) is not available in Airtel Kerala network - Even though the gprs of both Kerala and Karnataka networks is delivered from Bangalore.
                    And the last time I called 121, the call is not even delivered to the customer care executive, suggesting me to send sms query to 121. What kind of crap are the doing to make money ?

                      I have talked many a times for the above problem with the airtel senior and junior executives of approximately 10-15 times, every time i give them transaction id, they told me to wait for a day, then they send the response next day through phones saying that your complain has been sort out and now you can do easy recharges on your mobile, when i do the recharges then the same problem continues,

                          I have relocated from India to Canada on business purpose. Since I would be away from India for an year, I had disconnected my mobile number bearing [protected] in the month of August. I was paying the Airtell bill theough ECS from my Salary account. I have recieved a mail from Airtel group that my services had disconnected effectiveky Aug-1st. Unfortunately I have been deducted the amount from my bank account from Airtel though the connection was disconnected. I had sent couple of emails to [protected]@airtelindia.com but all in vain.
                          Could you please provide a number that I can call from Canada and talk to the concerned people? I am very dissatisfied with the delay from your side.
                          I had sent couple of reminders but did not receive any response.
                          It would be great of you can help me in this matter.

                          I am having a problem with Airtel India call service. I did not use my account for 6 months and they deactivated my account. Even after requests to activate my account stating a reason that I missed the conditions that I should use my account within 6 months. Aitel flatly refused to reinstate the balance just after 2 months. This seems very unfair. They run free promotions all the time.

                          The problem was also when I recharge using my credit card they do not show any message warning me to use the balance or use the account atleast once every 6 months.

                          I do not intend to use these service again.

                          am Aravind Ramanna, is a costumer of airtel from the day when out going was Rs 16 and income was Rs 8, now am using cell number[protected] from past 4 years even though i was not in town for a long time i kept the number in use paying sufficient funds for that, now am back in town and asked airtel to change the number from prepaid to billing, visited airtel outlet in sanjay nagar main road, bangalore, paid them the amount on Rs 1850/- its more than 15 days i gave that money, called costumer care around 12 times and visited the outlet everyday.with no reply or result.

                          am really fed up o[censored] r service.

                          if possible do the needful.

                              i am using AIRTEL sim card in sony ercisson w580i but it is not selecting network automatically. and when i contacted them, they said that you are using sony ercisson mobile W580i and it has some problems with AIRTEL cards, if you get an duplicate sim by paying some amount your problem will be solved. i want to know that why i have to spend more and is it not the mistake ofAIRTEL. how can they produce and distribute this kind of sim cards, and getting extra money for providing duplicate sim card.

                                  I am subscribed to NDNCR since May 08, however I started receiving unwanted calls from Airtel (Bharti cellular) which were autmatic IVR's .. I had complained to Airtel with the number and theNodal officeer also. I was given an assurance that this would not be repeated with a reference number. However I called the call center again and requested to be forwarded to the concerned deptt. so that I can understand if Airtel is an exclusion from the rules and regulations set by TRAI. I have not received a single response on that. On the other hand Airtel should respect the Indian Law code rather Airtel doesn;t bother at all, We as subscribers have to pay penalties but what is the liability of the telecom operaters as governed by Indian Laws and TRAI. Shouldn't they be indemnifying the subscribers.

                                  One more point which I would like to bring out as part of this complaint is that even after paying the bill and the late fees, the service is deteriorated and still we are charged for the whole. I just paid my bill for the month of Nov 08 and my mobile is barred and emails are not responded. I filled a complaint to the customer care, they always tell they have an upgradation activity on for past couple of years, I have recrded conversations on that, if travelling we are more penalised because local helpline (121) for any city would say they cannot access another cities account (number).

                                  I would like to take this forward for all the others also who have suffered and make Bharti understand a few basics of Indian Laws..

                                  Amount of SMS spam is too much now a days. http://www.airtel.in/applications/dnd/DND_Complaint2.jsp site does not work properly . I logged the complaint on 12/7/2010 and airtel responds back on 5th aug and says 15 days over and they cannot do any thing. The issue is their site processed the request on 26/7 which is really stupid.

                                    I have a Airtel Pre-Paid connection (Number:[protected]. I was using it happily, one day it stopped functioning, no calls I was able to make as well as no incoming calls. I contacted Airtel, Indira Nagar office and they communicated that recharge validity was over. I couldnot recharge it on time due to my hectic work schedule and vacations.
                                    After three weeks of follow-up & by paying Rs 199/-, with help from Airtel Indira Nagar office; My pre-paid was active again (with life time validity) couple of days back.
                                    The problem is: I had a balance of Rs 820/- in my account before this life time validity recharge which is not transferred to my account. I contacted Airtel Office & Airtel Customer Care; they confirmed that Rs 820/- was in balance before this recharge BUT they will not be able to transfer it back to my account.
                                    My point is that my money which got lost (Rs 820/-) due to this account recharge should be refunded back to me. It should not happen that because of account reactivation, whatever balance I have in account gets lost. Pls help in this regard.

                                    i have lost my mobile and i went for my simcard replacement. in this regards the customer care executive had informed me that i have to pay 84rs for 16kb sim n 100rs for 32 kb sim. but the dealer here in bapatla is collecting 150rs for just 16kb sim. i need justice in this regards. if the company itself collecting that amount i have no problem in paying but the dealer is collecting this amount illegally. so please kindly help me.

                                    i am sobiya using airtel 4 the past 3year. my number is [protected]. and i have all my staf[censored]sing airtel too. i am subscribed 2 airtel radio and airtel freinds chat and wat and all stuff without my concern and every month so much money of mine is been deducted from my account.i simply don believe this. this is not the way the customers are been taken care. i wan you to take severe action and refund me all my money back othewise i will have to surrender my number, my airtel landline number, my airtel office number and all my staffs airtel number to. i want a response within today.

                                      To whomsoever it may concern

                                      I subscribed for a Airtel postpaid connection (Phone No. :[protected] in the month of January, 2008 from a authorised vendor of Airtel (Shop Name: Prime Telecom, 7 Bunglows, Versova, Mumbai.) and after taking the connection he asked me to submit Rs. 599/- (Rs. 500/- as a security deposit and Rs. 99/- for the activation charges). I have a paper reciept from the same vendor mentioning that I have deposited the money for the same. When I asked him that this security deposit of Rs. 500/- is refundable or not then the shop owner said that it will be returned in 40 days after you submit your connection or terminate your subscription. I have never been the defaulter in terms of my bill payment to Airtel and I have all the reciepts of the bill payment. Even, not on a single ocassion I have made any late bill payments to the company. I got my subscription terminated in the first week of September, 2008. And after waiting for more than 40 days, I have not, yet recieved my security deposit which was refundable. I enquired with a Airtel Relationship Centre, Chakala, Andheri (E), Mumbai. But, they are trying to escape by saying that the security deposit amount is not being shown in their client information records and when I produced the reciept (mentioning that I have deposited the security amount) they are saying that they cannot do anything and I have to negotiate with the vendor only. I cannot fight with the vendor because he is saying that he has passed on the information to his distributor as soon as he recieved money from me in January, 2008 and as of now, the distributor has closed down its operations. Therefore, I am submitting my complaint against Airtel for doing monetary fraud with me. Kindly look into the matter because at a personal level I can forget my Rs. 500/- amount but company is going to make big bucks by cheating 'n' number of people in the same way.

                                      Airtel-postpaid connection — non-refund of security deposit

                                      I have been an airtel customer for 6 years. Details of my mobile number:
                                      Number-[protected]
                                      Subscriber name-Debarshi Roy
                                      However since i moved to another city, i had to disconnect my post-paid connection.Initially when i called up the customer care center and asked the procedures for disconnection. I was told by the lady that a request for disconnection can be made through the call center. I promptly put a disconnection request, but to my dismay i found bills still coming with the monthly rental. When I called up the customer center again, I was told that phone request for disconnection is not accepted and I need to go to certain centers in Bangalore for the same.We did that n the Cox town airtel center and I was promised that the refund will be given to me of my security deposit within 45 days. However it is past 60 days and I have not received my refund.I called up the customer center number 121 and they gave me another number [protected] which never goes to any voice operator.
                                      I had sent a mail to the airtel nodal officer on may 12.No response from the, Then i called up the nodal officer after a week.She said that she would check the same and call me immdeiately with the detailed status. No calls from her as well. I feel airtel is a cheat.

                                      Airtel-postpaid connection — Airtel charging for unwanted services and not ready to close it

                                      Rakesh here, I have 3 airtel connections and for last 3 months, I have been receiving daily SMS from Airtel Masti package for which I have not signed up, airtel have been charging me on weekly basis for this unwanted service.

                                      I have raised 10 complaints with Airtel customer executives for shutting of the unwanted service and to waive of the extra charged amount, all the Airtel executives said that the service would be closed in 24 hours, however I have been receiving SMS till date with extra charges piling up every week.

                                      The customer care executive is ready to close the Airtel number but for some reason they are not ready to shut the unwanted service.

                                      This is very ridiculous and frustrating, I have wasted lot of time speaking to the customer executive and I guess the only thing possible is closing the number.

                                      If any one can please help me, I hate changing numbers

                                      Airtel-postpaid connection — THREANING AND FAKE CALLS

                                      I AM GETTING THREATNING CALLS RELATED TO MY OLD NUMBER[protected] FROM NUMBER “ [protected]”.

                                      REASONS:

                                      AUGUEST 07 : I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE BEFORE GOING TO SINGAPORE THAT I AM USING AIRTEL GPRS OF 499 WHEATHER I WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA MONEY IF I GO TO SINGAPORE .AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE REPLIED “NO SIR SINCE YOU ARE USING AIRTEL UNLIMED GPRS PLAN SO NO CHARGES SHALL BE APPLICABLE TO YOU “ I WENT TO SINGAPORE ON 29TH AUGUST AND CAME BACK ON 3RD SEPTEMBER . I THIS 5 DAYS PERIOD BY BILL WAS RAISED TO 15000 AND IN WHICH RS 13000 IS DUE TO GPRS .

                                      MY QUESTIONS :

                                      1 Why I was misscomunicated about that there will be no GPRS charges .
                                      2. When my Limit was Rs 3000 why was my phone not disconnected and allowed to reach bill of 15000 plus .


                                      Still I have paid Rs 2300 in 1st week of September07 which was genuine .
                                      Now I am getting harassment and threatening calls .Also fake calls are made to my relatives .

                                      Kindly look in to this matter as this is really frustrating

                                      Airtel Postpaid Connection — want security deposit

                                      Hi

                                      my wife was using airtel prepared connection and we received a lot of calls for convert this connection into postpaid, then we convert this connection into postpaid in month of February, and deposited 250 rs for security deposited. After this we start receiving a very huge bills with lots of charges when we went in customer care and asked them they said in next bill we deduct this amount, but they dint, at last we paid all charges and again convert this number into prepaid, in month of may. but dint receive our money in staring they said company will directly send a cheque but now they said its not a security deposit its staulation charge and we cant give this money back, and do what ever you want, i have a recipt of that amount, plz help.
