The problem occurred on 9th October, 2018, the cam or the slot of the set top box got damaged by my kid, I requested Airtel to visit, which they did on chargeable basis, n the executive kept on explaining over the phone that what a slot or cam.is for about 10-15 minutes, then he said that set top box(STB) needs to be replaced for which he himself said he is not sure as per him only slot should be replaced.I even had a word with his senior over the phone, he said he will get back...
2 days passed, no response, we called customer care again, then again an executive came n he tampered the cam to insert into the STB, he tried Quick Fix and Tape, after all this tampering he said that STB will be changed, n over so many talks many executives replied that as we are using Infinity plan then our STB is under warranty, so it will be replaced without any cost and it will be done in 24 hrs, mails also exchanged, please find attached the copy of the mail, Mr.Naveen over the mail, Mr.Anoop was the senior floor manager, they all committed and we waited and now it's been almost 20 days our elderly parents, our kids are suffering, once for all they would have said that STB would be charged and replaced but every time different answer came which is completely not acceptable, we have been Airtel customers since more than a decade now.Engineers kept on calling and harrassing that complaining again n again will not lead to get the work done.Its not done at all.We are paying around 1100 per month rental for Airtel Digital TV, apart from the yearly infinity plan for which we paid around 5600/-, STB is completely undamaged, card is completely undamaged, only the slot which is external to the device needs to be replaced for which they are asking us to.buy the whole STB which is again in warranty in infinity plan as told by Airtel executives.All thede expenses without using at all for odd 20 days, is this fine?So many calls, so.many mails, so.much of communications...
I really want an answer for all the discomfort caused.
