I am using airtel prepaid sim since many years everyone in my family uses airtel, but every time there is network issue and customer care 198 dont help at all. Recently since 26/05/2018 network is totally gone nothing work at all we live in jejuri purandar 412303. When i called customer care they said they will fix the issue multiple times but nothing changed. They dont even bother anymore to fix it.. And its not just now this happened before too many times last year and few months back. They just advertise india's largest network but its all bluff.. I am fed up with this behavior of airtel customer care and service provider.. I pay so much every month for services which i am not getting. I have no choice but to submit complaint here.. Most probably if this issue isnt fixed ill switch to different service provider..

I didnt get any call from Airtel Customer support yet, Though I again called them again on 12118 as per their website https://www.airtel.in/opennetwork/reportIssues and what they say is restart the phone. Ive restarted the phone like 100 times now. When I asked them if there is any alternative remedy or if they gonna send a team or anything at all they didnt answer and kept saying restart the phone. This is unfair how many days more I have to suffer like this. A proper answer and some remedy would be appreciated but it seems Airtel doesnt bother to entertain issues like this cause they dont want to ruin their status which they created by advertising that India's biggest network which is available everywhere. We pay for services which we are not getting, and now customer care dont even have time to even talk about it all they repeat is restart the phone. I am still hoping that they will fix the issue ASAP. Otherwise I have no choice but to file a complaint to Consumer court as per ground no. 2 which is for complaint against telecom service providor to consumer court as per the Department of Telecom on February 4th, 2014 official memorandum.

    Hi,
    I had done recharge of Rs.399 from airtel mobile app on 27th may 2018 at around 1:30 am ist, but money got deducted from my bank account and recharge transaction is failed..
    My issue is its more than 24 hours and amount has not been refunded till now.
    For reference I am attaching screen capture of message that shown transaction got failed...

      Hi Airtel,

      Writing this email with lot of frustration with the pathetic service provided by Airtel. I am with Airtel for last 15 years but the kind of service I have got in last 1 year has been the worse and this has made me take a decision to move to another service provider.

      I would like to summarize the main Issues I have faced with you guys...

      In the month of November 2017 I had gone on a vacation to Maldives and before I left I called Airtel multiple times to get my International roaming activated but Airtel's servers were down and they were not able to help me. In my last call one of the executive asked me to activate it on Airtel app which I did. After I came back I was surprised to see a bill of 7000/- & 34, 000/- INR.
      I called up airtel and had multiple discussions explaining them about what happened but they say that I never called Airtel and I have not activated International roaming on Airtel app either.
      I had paid 7k initially but did not want to pay 34k hence stopped the payment. I started getting collection calls which were rude and frustrating.
      On one of the collection calls I was asked to pay 3999 rupees and assured that the balance amount will be waived off which was a lie as it never happened.
      My incoming calls were barred and eventually outgoing calls as well. As I use this number for my business and office I made a payment of the balance amount.

      Total amount paid: 11531 +11531 + 2000 + 630 + 2150 + 891 + 7377 = 36110

      Above is the payment made towards mobile number [protected] from the month of November 2017.

      As per me -
      1. After activating International roaming on mobile app I should not be charged the amount I have been charged.
      2. If Airtel says I have not made any calls and not activcated IR on airtel app then I want to know the technical issue Airtel was going through on 1st of November
      This was asked multiple times but Airtel never provided this information. Due to technical issue may there were no call records and IR was not activated.

      How fair it is to penalize customer for the issues that Airtel has.

      After making all the above payments my outgoing is still not active - From last 2 days I have called Airtel more than 5 times asking them to fix the problem but they say there is no issues.

      Airtel customer care does not update logs - When I call up Airtel reporting a issue the executive says he has created a ticket but that is not true all the time. Because next time when I call asking for a feedback on the issue they will have no information about it and they say there is no ticket created.

      Rude customer care and collection team - I pay for my service and expect respect and decency in the way I am treated. Airtel customer care and collection team does not have that on many occasion. This was reported multiple times to the respective managers but as usual they do not update the logs and no action taken.

      Day Light robbey: Not sure why Airtel has got in to this mode of giving wrong information and looting people which will not last. They looted 34k from my which I would have anyway paid with the service I take. In the event of looting money in a fast phase you are loosing customers...

      Excess Payment - I have made an excess payment of 11, 531/- rupees and I want that to be credited back to my account.

      I am porting to Reliance JIO and want this to be cleared before I move.

      I have called airtel customer care twice about the same but nothing has happened...

      Putting this on twitter because I have no faith in getting my money back from Airtel with the kind of experience I have gone through so far.

        From the 18th of may the internet facility in our broadband has gone down. We have filed a complaint o the same date. Till now we have communicated everyday to airtel representatives in local (I. E, karaikudi) and called twice to the consumer care.

        Till now no solution had been done, the technicians are very lethargic towards the issue. Kindly solve the issue within 24 hours or terminate the connection as there is no proper response. It has been a fortnight since the issue began and since there no solution has been made we request you to waive of the subscription fee for this payment cycle. I hope i get the issue gets resolved within 24 hours, or i might quit your service.

          Dear airtel,

          I regret for having your network. As per my above complaint i had gone to the nearest airtel showroom, which is opposite naupada police station in thane west.

          To my shock i was rudely back answered as 'no', when i requested them to convert my postpaid service into pre-paid one. Despite me giving the reference of your mail, they simply refused to acknowledge it. Further, they kept on emphasizing that i have to complete 3 months. They even shamelessly asked me to complaint about them.

          The airtel executive mr. Surendra tried to manhandle me in front of my mother and everyone around. This has greatly hurt me and disturbed my mother to great extent. I therefore, urge you to take strict action against your employee. I do not know the names of the senior executive, as they were not wearing name batch.

          I hope you take your customers seriously and do the needful. Else i have no option left other than taking help of the law.

            To whosoever it may concern

            My name is dr. Mehjabin haque, and i had been using the prepaid airtel number - [protected], for the past 8 years. I have been a valued and a steadfast customer of your brand.
            Due to some connectivity problems, i had stopped using this particular number for a period of 3 months, as i have come abroad for my further studies. But shockingly today i got to know that your company has allocated my number to someone else without prior notifying me nor giving me any warning. This is unfair, sneaky and underhanded work.
            My bank account details, my social network, each and everything is linked with the number.
            I demand an explanation for this senseless and thoughtless step.
            This is a way of taking advantage of a customer on several levels.
            You people should be ashamed of calling yourself a people friendly brand. Airtel is actually a conglomerate of greedy business suits with no regard for its customers well being.
            Justify your actions. I want answers.
            If the person allocated the number steals my online identify, who will be responsible for that disaster?

            I demand adequate compensation or i ll file a writ petition in court of law.

              I ported my no [protected] from bsnl to airtel, through an airtel provider mr nitesh his no [protected], office placed at tt nagar bhopal, with above no of mine there was an attached additional sim which was being used and named after me. His office did not take care and the additional sim is stills not ported. Now his office did not listen to rectify it in spite of giving all the details to him. He did not pick up my phone. Please see the matter to resolve it. Also his office took 100 rs as porting charges where they did not give any receipt on 8th may 18.

                i am a airtel postpaid customer my mobile no is [protected] i booked plan from airtel web site 2499/ after month when bill got generated they charged 400 extra .when i call to customer care they said its 18%tax. but in airtel website they have not mentioned anything they mentioned only 2499/.airtel company making money even.worst service didn't intemated anything charged extra amount

                    There is no 3g/4g network at all, to open website browsing it takes 2 minutes, earlier it was good, this situation is coming after we paying Rs .500/- for 84 or 90 days of 1 gb / 1.5 gb perday . Such a worst network and request you to take some action. Complaining this also taking almost more than a 30 minutes

                      I am in roaming my post paid sim not working number is[protected].
                      I did all routine checks and procedures.
                      But not working. Blocked at 9.00 am today. Internet connection also due to this, many mail are pending. I am travellig from uttarakhand to delhi. From there to chennai and then to nellore andhra pradesh. Do i am facing very much inconvience for not having internet. Respond in this regard as early as you can.

                        I was unable to call for 15 days when i went to airtel office they told balance is zero, i was shocked as 15 days before balance was 300 and i did not use the phone
                        As i recharged on 7th may with 200 rs immediately 55 rs was cut saying masti pack is renewed which i have never asked before & airtel also didnot send any message that such pack has been started
                        After digesting my 355 rs it is informing
                        Previously most of the calls i used to do by airtel but after such a big cheat i switched over to vodapone i am thinking to stop it
                        Before this issue i was planning to start internet with this number but not now
                        If airtel thinks it will earn money this way its wrong thinking.

                          I apply a number portability idea to airtel, Idea provide a upc code and i apply it proper guideline, my portability was rejected due to aadhar link failed this is a cause and another cause was upc code was mismatch both cause informe by airtel side by male, which one is true i don't know .but i doubt some mishappening is don on airtel data base .both male send by airtel, i discuss the airtel appellate authority i told please send the upc code which was provided by me but the intentionally not mention to her male i attach both male .on this matter i complain it on national gravence forem her complain No is DOTEL/E/2018/13360.

                            On[protected], i have paid rs.98/- for recharging of airtel data to my mob no.[protected] through online banking from hdfc, bangalore. The amount of rs.98/- was deducted from the account, but it was not recharged hence on[protected], i have visited the airtel office situated at shivananda circle, bangalore and they denied to resolve the issue, hence requested to resolve the issue and kindly direct them to recharge of rs.98/- and damages available as per law in the interest of justice.

                              I have received an sms from airtel, on 27 may at 4:08 am, saying that some fitonza has been activated for one week and rs. 35/- has been charged to me, and that i could stop it by following some process if i wanted. Since i have never made any such request why should airtel have the right to charge me money unilaterally and then make me go through the hassle of this unwanted, and unsought, service. This unilateral thrusting of services and then charging money from the unwilling consumer is open cheating. Airtel seems to have done it to others too. They must stop this harassment immediately and refund any amounts deducted for this service, unless someone specifically asks for it.

                                Every month for the last 15 - 18 months i have been getting charged 4 times the rate as approved by my bill plan for international calls. I have escalated this matter multiple times, practically every month since last april and the problem still exists. After some follow ups, i received refund for some of the extra billing. But the problem persists, and the customer service representatives are rude and completely ignorant of the problem. Every month i need to call the customer service desk and once again explain the entire problem to a new person. Never can you possibly speak to the same executive - not even at their so called "appellate" level. I am close to pulling my hair out due to this.

                                I sincerely hope someone with a conscience at airtel is seeing this and will come back on this.

                                      Hi team,

                                      I got an issue with airtel 995 recharge. I got such an issue that i wish to leave airtel and look for some other provider. This is not the way of dealing with a customer. I, as a customer request to improve your process and re-define it.

                                      Initially, a month back or so. I donot remember the date exactly. I called to customer care for 995 recharge and as per suggestions, i have done the recharge. And i thought airtel is giving me nice offers. But, after this recharge, my problems started in bulk.

                                      In my airtel app, i use to see the data balance, how many days remaining in this recharge and all those stuff. After 995 recharge, nothing is being displayed. I called to customer care and updated my issue. Later on, i got update like this - "as this is new recharge value, looks like system is not upgraded accordingly. We raise this issue with our backend team and make this corrected. I felt very happy and after 3 days or so, i was able to view the recharge amount and also remaining days like 360 or so.

                                      Since few days, i was unable to view those in my airtel app. And i am in assumption that i may get alert or notification if my usage is high on data. As far as i remember, i didn't see any notification like that. I was seriously trying internet since morning, but it is not being connected. It was not being connected. And i was totally failed to use internet as i was using this airtel network. I failed because there was no notification or alert. And i started browsing continuously. And i got a notification like below which looks very irrelevant to me. And when i used the option"*121*11#". It directed me for offers but not my usage. (Refer to image 1)

                                      Notification"data usage alert: you have used 10mb data from your main account. For info on data packs, dial *121*11#"

                                      If my airtel app shows me my usage as before, i wouldn't have wasted my internet usage. Instead, i would have used my wifi.

                                      Additional to this - customer care agents & supervisor.

                                      Previous supervisor/agent updated me that i would see my usage in airtel app directly. And i was fixed to that and use to monitor that. Suddenly, it was gone one day. I am not sure why this has happened. No notification to me on this.

                                      Recent supervisor, he is guiding me another process on how to check data balance. If this correct, why previous agent/supervisor mis-guided me? If previous agent/supervisor said correctly, why recent agent (Das) mis-guided me? Further, he agreed that there is no process of raising complaint on previous agent/supervisor (Whom a customer speaks). There should be some process defined for raising complaint on such issues. Why it was not there?

                                      And today (23 - may - 2018 12:18 pm) spoke with swathi n. Just listen to this recording. Airtel will be knowing how they are responding to the customers. This is not the first time for me.

                                      Additional to this: connecting customer care calls

                                      For connecting these calls, we need to strive for long waits. It would be a minimum of 30 minutes to connect to customer care. And again that is chargeable. Is this the way airtel treats their customers?

                                      Its not matter of 36/-. Its the time and belief on airtel. I was using the same number since 2009. We are in 2018 now. Its almost 9 years. I never changed my number nor requested for some porting options. Still, airtel is playing with customers like me.

                                        I am mehul shekhada and i use [protected] airtel postpaid number for around 4 year.

                                        I frequently face speed issue at my home. Today is worst speed i notice.

                                        Before some day i complained about speed but not get any action on this objection.

                                        Here i attached some screenshots for your reference. You are claming with ookla that the airtel is india's fastest network. So look this screenshot and accept reality.
