Airtel — Broadband Connection Approved and then Rejected | |||
I have submitted the form and required documents for Airtel broadband connection on 11/07/2015. The details have been entered into their system two days later and they sent me fixed line account no. [protected] and installation order no. 37891863. Two days after getting these details I've asked my previous internet service provider(Hathway) to remove his connection. As per Airtel's rules, they have to give the connection within 3 after receiving the documents. But they didn't give it till 17th July and I called their customer care and raised a complaint. I also explained that my previous broadband connection has been removed anticipating Airtel to give its connection and so, I need the connection quickly. On 17th again, when I called them, they said that the connection would be given by the end of that day at any cost. But guess what, till 30th July I kept calling and mailing them and they kept telling that it is delayed due to technical reasons and it will be given soon. On 30/07/2015, they sent a mail telling that the connection cannot be given due to technical issues. I sent a mail to customer care, and then Nodal officer and then Appellate authority saying that I disconnected my previous broadband because of commitment given by Airtel regarding the connection. Also, to get that connection back, I should pay the installation charges. But everyone replied "Sorry, we can't give you the connection.". They didn't say a word about the discomfort caused to me due to disconnection of previous broadband and the money I need to pay as installation charges for no good reason. Since 40 days, I've been sending mails to different levels and got fed up with their replies. Finally, I hoped Airtel would pay the installation charges at least, to make up for the false commitment. That didn't happen too. If the connection cannot be given, why was the opposite of it informed to me for 13 days? How did Airtel, 17 days after taking the request, discover that connection cannot be given? What about the trouble caused to the customer due to false commitments? Airtel customer care too, has become a rubbish. Cost cuttings, I guess. It used to be a lot better about 3 years ago. Was this information helpful? | |||

I asked Airtel for broadband connection. They say that its 300m away for installation address, so they can't give connection. I really need broadband connection. In my area other providers are not available. Only Airtel Xtreme is available. Their agent say ask someone other people if they are interested in connecting then only the will connection to me . But in my are no body is going to get a connection, because they are basically not earning that well . Airtel please help ...
