[Resolved] Airtel — data theft by Airtel /cheating customers
Hi I eve recently shifted from TIKONA broadband to AIRTEL broadband . My Internet usage is basically emails and once in a while web surfing, nothing heavy duty .I had a 8GB plan with tikona for several years and i ve never used my 100% data .usage was hardly 3-4gb in a month .my usage still remains the same and after shifting to AIRTEL and that too with 15 GB of plan .within 5 days it was showing consumption of 9GB of data though in reality my account was not even activated and i had not even used the Internet but in their records it was showing. I got a call from AIRTEL that I ve used 100% of my data within 15 days . I had made a complaint but their was no serious follow up to resolve the issue .I let it go thinking it could be a technical problem, but again this month with good 12 days for the billing cycle to get over I got a call that I ve consumed 100% data .and I can pay Rs99/- per GB to get more data .my Internet usage has not changed a bit .I fail to understand where my data is going . I feel very disgusted and cheated .This is outright stealing by AIRTEL .The matter needs to be investigated by police .after doing thorough research on the Internet I ve found that I am not the only one their are many many more .besides the broadband I ve got two more mobile connection. I have been a very loyal customer of airtel for long . Now I am planning to switch over to another service provider .shame on you AIRTEL khurram Qureshi Airtel fixed line[protected] mob -[protected]
