We mailed the airtel for disconnecting the Data card connection last year and now they are coming up asking for payment after 3 months. When told that we already mailed for disconnection, we are being told that we need to go to the service center and there we need to make the disconnection. Why now after 3 months we are being told? Why we were not told when we contacted them for disconnection? Why would we pay when the customer knows that the connection has been already disconnected? I have the email proof that I mailed the Airtel last year as a final approved disconnection mail. Why is it still pending? It is airtel headache to resolve this issue.

Please do not call us anymore.. Customer care people do not have patience to listen. The most ridiculous thing is they are demanding money still and not even bothered that i do not want their connection from the past 4 months. I wonder whether it has been still disconnected. They just want us to pay. They are not at all ready to accept their fault that we demanded for a disconnection and they did not make. Why would we pay?
please do not call.. we will resolve this issue by visiting the airtel showroom with all the proof..

    My name is Nilesh Kumar and this is with reference to my application for new broadband connection, TNPB004067. The new connection installation is pending owing to some technical fault as described by Customer service center in Chennai. But, I would like to bring to notice the POOR service offered in communicating the same. I had applied for new broadband connection by paying online (Rs. 500) on 6th March. As mentioned, I were supposed to know within 3 days if connection is feasible in my flat or not. I got a call 2 days later and was told that connection is not feasible. This is ridiculous because we have been using 2 MBPS connection until the owner of connection moved out. I explained the same to the lady that I already have a line (wire) in my room and only thing required is a MODEM. After this, I used to get calls everyday to collect the documents. Upon, explaining that Monday to Friday is a work week, and they should come to my office and collect, they used to just say they will check and let me know and never came. I called everyday to get the documents collected stating EVERYTIME that this connection is extremely important for my PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL work, but unfortunately, NOBODY came. Only when I called everyday that the request was made high priority and on 12th March, Karthik (Contact : [protected]) came to my office to collect the document(s). I paid 500 (for installation) + 100 (for notary attestation). Having received confirmation from Karthik that installation will be done by Saturday that week, I was relieved and was waiting in anticipation for installation. I got a call on Monday from Tangadhurai (Contact : [protected]) hoping that it is for installation when I realized he was asking for documents which I had already submitted but was being asked again for the same. Once this was cleared, I called everyday again stating the IMPORTANCE of this connection for my PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL work. They explained to me reasonably that there is some technical fault because of which it is taking time. Then, one day (19th March) I received a call from Anand (Contact : [protected]) mentioning that he will come to my home at 6 pm that day. I took early release from office JUST to be there at home for installation. I will admit that I was getting impatient because of the LAZY services I have received so far and I called him like 10 times to know if he is coming, but he just disconnected without speaking clearly (I could not understand a thing he was saying). I also sent messages to his cell. I will admit again that by this time I had become extremely impatient with the communication of the problem. After waiting for another day or two I called again and then I was told that the problem has not been resolved and I should cancel the connection. This was told ONLY upon me calling everyday to ask on the status. Finally, I have requested for cancellation. I am not writing this because I want my money back or something. I just would have liked to see the installation and service done smoothly. I have used airtel services in other locations (Hyderabad, Bangalore) and I was more than satisfied with services in those locations especially Hyderabad. But this is the first time, that for installation, I have received such a POOR service. I posted the above in : * Consumer court * Feedback portals (Just dial, google review) Appreciate if you can ensure the quality of service remains high!

    Yes, I am also facing the similar issue with airtel, and the irony is the same guy Anandan ([protected]) also involved in collecting the documents from me for airtel 3G dongle.

    hi Officer,

    This in regards to the case id [protected], BR14905263 Your representative Mr. Anand (+[protected] visited our house collected documents and Rs 1000, he said it will be processed and you will get within 3 days. Still there is no resolution from him.
    if its not Possible, Kindly return back our money. Its pitiful that Mr. Anand is not replying back to our calls.

    Even I am having similar issue. But its the same guy Anand. Its high time that he is doing ths with many people. We should complaint to police. No one has complained to police against him. Thts the fault.
    Even I am facing the same issue. Mr. Anand has cheated many o[censored]s. No one complained to police against him. This has become his business. He took 2300 from us and was not returning the 4G dongle. After continous follow up with airtel we got the device. But he sent someone else to give the device and asked for activation charges which are fake. I did not pay him any activation charges. He is a fraud working with fake identity.

      All required documents along with photo and three hundred security deposit was collected by a representative of frontline salesmart pvt ltd, andheri, mumbai code-sad11105 for a new airtel post paid connection (Suggested no-[protected]) on[protected] but the smae has not been started yet. Request for the same was made on airtel website and as a result the above agency contacted me.
      Plz look into the matter and get my number started without any delay or direct the agency to return my documents n security deposit today itself. Thanking you in anticipation of prompt action.

          I have taken the airtel internet plan(Wireless) [protected] from an executive named Muneem ([protected] Hyderabad in Feb 2014). But there were no signals showing I have requested him to cancel . Inspite of requesting I got a bill of Rs 289. And I met Muneem near my office and gave him 300 Rs . But then he is absconding . Not lifting the phone. Can you please take some action against this agent.

            My Phone No.: [protected] Location: Bangalore Latest Billing Cycle. I have been an Airtel Customer since 2009. At home, we have Airtel Digital TV, Airtel Broadband and Airtel mobile connections. I recently bought a new smartphone (Moto G) and I have never used any data services in the past, I don't know how it works or it even existed. On 02 March 2014, I receive a call from Airtel Customer Care that I have already used 190 MB of data between 27 Feb to 1 Mar 2014 and I would be charged Rs 1900/- for this. I demanded why should I pay for the service I have not used, then, the customer care executive asked me to talk to the concerned people to get a waiver. Meanwhile, I had been to my native on an urgent work and when I am back on 21 Mar I am notified that my total bill is Rs 3098/-, this was a biggest shock to me. When I called the customer care and informed them that there is something wrong, I am unnecessarily being charged this huge amount, the representative said I have used 190 MB of data - Rs 1900/-, my bill plan is Rs 274 and my calls are Rs 509 and over and above all this taxes total upto Rs 3098/-. I pleaded that I have not used any data, I had no knowledge if my SIM had a data connection, I never requested it. I was told by this Airtel representative that irrespective of whether I requested or not, every customer has data connection by default from 2013. I requested for a waiver as the usage was completely unintended (not known to me), then, I was told that I would be given a waiver of Rs 500. Such a shame, they expect me to pay up the amount quietly by setting up such traps. Who authorized them to enable data service on my connection? Are there no regulations against such unethical business? Is this not equivalent to fooling an innocent customer with trickery ? Why should I pay up for the service usage that I have not requested for? Its not my mistake, its theirs. I would like Airtel to completely waive off the data charges (including the tax for VAS). Enabling data services on my connection without my sign or consent is their mistake, I will not pay a penny for this. Sreelatha.

              Two days after resolving a service issue in airtel again i encountered an issue. My outgoing was barred stating address verification failed. i have given my passport as my address proof but even then they have confirmed to me that the address given is wrong. they also informed me that they had called up to the alternate number(also airtel) but the owner of the alternate number confirms that he had not received any call from any airtel executive. my prepaid number was very much active but i also did not get any call from airtel. i spoke to a executive from your team who says you can cancel the connection if you want but will not keep repeating the same thing again and again but til the end she never answered to me of how the address was updated wrongly in your database when address is always checked comparing with the address proof while submitting the address proof. i am facing this issue from past one week and no one has a solution for this. lastly i spoke to a person today who asked me to visit the nearest airtel center. keeping in mind that i dont have time to visit the showroom i had applied for the post [aid connection through online. but now they have asked me to visit the airtel showroom for which i dont have time. and my issue still remains unresolved with no updates. updating wrong records and then providing inconvenience to the customer has disappointed not only me and the others around me. Can u please have anyone look into this asap.

                  I am a customer of Airtel for the last 6 years. Recently i have shifted from postpaid to prepaid after noticing so many discrepancies with the monthly bills. Now i am recharging the mobile for 500/- every time so that i dont have to recharge frequently. On March 20th night i made my last call for the day and have seen the mobile balance left was 220/-. Now the next morning i have to attend a meeting with a client and all by seniors were coming for the meeting. Suddenly i wanted to call by boss to inform i was stuck in the traffic. Airtel was not allowing me to make a call saying your balance is 0. I was totally shocked and clueless how the balance came to 0. I was not even allowed to make a call to customer care also as there is no balance. I had to recharge it again. I have spend 1 hr trying to call to customer care after rechargin my mobile, to find out what was the reason behind the deduction of 220/-. Just a moment before the IVRS connects me to the customer care executive call gets disconnected. I have submitted a complain in the airtel website, got a message saying "will come back with a solution in 4 hours". Now 24 hours passed by. I called again the customer care, now luckly connected to the person there. He was rude, saying "You would have used some internet or some other services". After a considerable argument he connected me to his supervisor. She was talking as if I am a newbie to using the mobile. she was cooking all the stories, which i didn't agree and clarified that she was wrong in saying that. Finally she agreed to pay me the deducted balance and got 200 credited to my account. God knows about 20/- balance. People be very cautious about the Airtel prepaid users. Best to always check your balance after every call. One more advise is to check the balance soon after u wake up. I was in the middle of the road, when i realized that the balance is 0. I used to see some random messages on my mobile saying "Last call charge for 00:00:00 seconds was 0.50 rupees. I didn't care much and suddenly there was sudden disappearance of the complete balance. Even after all this, Airtel couldn't give me any reason as to why the balance got deducted and why only 200 was credited back and why not 220/-. Please be very careful with Airtel. I am not sure if Airtel is purposefully doing it or its employees are doing it. Either ways customers are at risk.

                    I had taken a prepaid number [protected] two years back from Munirka Village near JNU main gate, New Delhi. It was activated after 7 days and proper verification of documents. Three days back I lost my phone and tried to get my number reissued from airtel but they refused saying that the number was registered with somebody else name and can not be reissued. This is such a pain that after continuously using airtel they are showing such ignorance to me and the problems arising because of loss of my phone number and all the contacts. They had verified my number, once reduced my call rates also when I said I want to change connection. Had it been issued on somebody else's name why did they continue the service for two years. They can easily fool you by saying the number is issued in someother person's name despite the fact I had submitted all documents to them and airtel activated my connection only after proper verification. Can anybody help me please.

                      My mobile no is [protected] and i am airtel money customer. Today i tried to recharge [protected] airtel no from airtel money app with rs 111, but instead of recharging that no, my own no got recharge. I tried again after 10-15 min with airtel money app, but with same results. I called up airtel customer care on 121 but they are not ready to accept the same. Its problem with app & not my mistake. I[censored] require i can give demo of the same. You are requested to refund my rs. 222 (111*2) as its a free call recharge of 200 calls each and its of no use for me. My no is already recharged with rs. 399 (900 calls). This problem i have faced from today onwards only. Before that it was perfectly working.                       Bharti Airtel Ltd. — Very Poorest / Cheapest Customer care Support

                      I have activated daily sms pack from aitrel prepaid. But when I tried to deactivate the same by using the airtel no. *321*491# and using *321*491*5* it shows message that I am not a subscriber, though my a/C. Balance is deducting daily.

                      I have called customer care centre for this problem:
                      one executive said me that I must deactivate the same using one and only way *321*491#, (though that was not working) he said me that he can not deactivate from there (by himself).

                      I have called then second time one another executive replied me the same for this query, he gave me another no. *110#, but that was also not working.

                      I have called third time one executive constantly saying me that I must do with suing the no. *321*491#, I have strictly said tht its not working at all.. I said that waht can I do now.. they replied me that there is no another way.. I said my a/C. Balance is deducting daily... they replied me that they can't do from there... now what can I do ??

                      I have called then forth time, one another executive now I get. He replied me that he will deactivate from there (by himself). And the pack also deactivated.

                      Now see the matter and entire case.. for a single query.. all four executives answers something new, something else, all have very different knowledge though having work in same company.

                      What I got with forth executive, that answer all other three was not answering - they were also "unaware" for this answer.

                      This all shows non sense / Executives...... I have also call recordings for the talk.

                      A message received from Airtel (AK-650143) on 13/02/2012 at 10:04:19 in my mobile No. [protected].
                      Details of the message:-
                      "Recharge with Rs. 20 and get talktime of Rs. 15 instantly and also make all local calls only at 30p/min for 60 days. Onetime recharge offer."

                      Recharge was done then and there on 13/02/2012 at 12:30:24.
                      Though Rs. 15 has been credited to my A/c, still the 30p/min call offer to all local calls still pending.

                        This is regarding my application for network portability from tata docomo to airtel for which i had submitted the application with this dealer near selaiyur, tambaram, chennai. The contact number of this dealer is ([protected], +[protected]. This dealer claims for submission of my application which i submitted it on 03-MAR-2014, but on contacting the airtel head office it was found that the application has not yet been received. on further conversation with the executive of airtel showroom, i was suggested to submit fresh application and request. This dealer after charging me 50INR for portability service, is not divulging the details of the agencies through whom he is sending the applications to head office. He already has harassed me for issuing the duplicate SIM card. I kindly request you to take severe action against such dealer for cheating me of my money, the time which i wasted on and also for causing mental agony all these days.

                          My id no.- [protected](Devendra singh) . Is subscribed for one year installation date is 22/06/2013. But it is shut down on 13/03/2014 . I have met dealer/distributer (T.V. Centre khalilabad, sant kabir nagar, up(East))and said my problem.They said that the yare not responsible for that.While i have paid rs. 3800 for one year subscription.At that time dealer said that your t.V. Would run for one year .

                              We have 3 fixed line numbers from Airtel which has been working well. But recently I decided to buy a 3 G data card which was working fine for couple of months. Suddenly the Wi fi signals started interfering between fixed line and the 3 G data card and the 3 G datacard has gone dead. I have been trying to speak to their customer care who promise a technician will come to solve the issue each time but nobody turns up even after repeated reminders. They even claim the ref number[protected] given by them does not exist. Pursuing this matter I have come to see the real colors of this Co whom I had thought was a reliable provider. This is a warning to all concerned that as long as there is no problem Airtel is Great but the moment their products fail there is absolutely no response from any of them. The moment you mention a problem they start putting your calls on hold for endless minutes. sometimes as long as 45 minutes and then call goes dead. After all my patient efforts I am forced to compliant as they have now come up with a new way of putting off handling client problems. They say they will only handle complaints for 4 G data card users and 3 G clients should call 1800... Everyone knows that this toll free number can be reached from MTNL/BSNL numbers. I would like to ask them how does one go searching for BSNL phone booth? Having visited their local customer care centres and failing to get proper response I tried talking on phone. The local customer care centres just say go to "Huawei" - the manufacturer. Thats all they have time for. I can only hope future clients will be aware of this dubious nature of Airtel staff.                               It is a blatant lie to say you have tried to reach me several times.
                              I have clearly mentioned my landline NUMBERS.

                              No one has called any of those numbers while my data card number is STILL not working. THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THIS COMPLAINT in the first place.

                              This only goes to prove the point I am trying to make. Concerned Airtel staff DO NOT want to take any responsibility to address the complaint itself.

                              Infact we have made 3 more attempts last week after my complaint was posted on this forum, to get the Wifi connectvity issue (reference number - 443686) corrected. Each time they only say someone will be sent today. That TODAY has still not come and we are throughly fed up with this utter disregard shown by Airtel staff.

                              Please PLEASE PLEASE get your customer service to be responsible and result oriented.

                                    I am having a broad band connection of airtel my account no is [protected] and i have taken this plan for 6 months and paid all the due amount in advance. My broadband services were disconncted for more than 15 days. and now when i am asking to adjust those days in my bill airtel customers are not doing that and i further would like to complaint against Mr. Neeraj Sharma (Senior Supervisor) who refused that my connection was disconnected for 15 days. I am so much surprised that how he can lie. I want that some strict action should be taken on such kind of employees dealing with customers. This is so vague statement as i have launched so many complaints against airtel at that time also. Kindly resolve my problem as i am suffering and customer care executives are mishandling this.

[protected] with Rs. 655 for 3G (3GB Data) on 11-March-2014 and i got the Message of activation but after activating the services I was unable to use it due to Network problem with 3G network and same things I have informed to many Customer Care as well as Appellate Authority and Nodal officers for the same problem but haven’t got any solution. After that I got a called from Nodal Officer and She told to me that to wait for four more days to solve the issue but I have requested her to refund my amount but she replied that she’s unable to refund the amount.                                         I wanted to change my post-paid connection into a pre-paid one.. I went to the airtel store at Orion Mall, Bangalore on 11th March and completed all the necessary paper work and I was told it shall be done in 2-3 business days. On 12th March I got a call from the store informing me that the server is down so my papers have not been processed. I called them on 13th March to find out the status and I was told that the paper has been processed from their end on 13th itself. I waited for 24 hours after talking to them and still no change. So I went to the store on 14th. Again after making me sit there for 10 minutes I was informed that they have done it from their end and it is now out of their hand and it will take 2-3 business days from 14th. This is really annoying and frustrating considering the fact that I can only use my phone for any outgoing calls and texts until I touch a cap of Rs. 50 during this transition period. Deeply disappointed with the service in general. On 15th March I posted this experience of mine on the airtel facebook page- within minutes I was offered a verbal apology and requested that I provide my email number by facebook message which I did. After which I was assured that someone would get in touch with me. I waited for almost 24 hours but no one offered any kind of assistance. I again messaged on the airtel page and then got a call from some one from the Delhi airtel circle who said all he could do was apologize - since my number is from the Karnataka circle and he cant work on it. He assured me he would try to contact the staff at the Orion mall store but I have not heard from him since Today is the 7th day since I started the transition process and nothing has gone beyond the "paper work". Also every time I spoke to the airtel representative the only thing he tells me is that it has been processed from their end. Is that the kind of customer service you provide...are you only concerned with getting the paper out from "your end" as you call it. A customer repeatedly calling/visiting the store on a daily basis requesting you to make the transition happen asap clearly means they need the transition to happen and be over at the earliest so that they can use their phone as they desire and being restricted to a cap of Rs. 50 for more than 3 days is making things very inconvenient and difficult. Even after expressing this urgency of mine the people working at the store did not make any kind of extra effort to find out the status at the "back end" as he called it. Having to deal with this kind of service is very frustrating.

                                        I too am facing the same problem. First I visited Mathikere, Bangalore airtel office to convert postpaid to prepaid of my airtel hotspot no. They told server is down and without checking, they told me that it is 100% impossible to convert hotspot no. Then I called customer care and gave request for disconnection. Then customer care told it is possible. Again i went to Mathikere branch. This time they told it is possible but they don't have SIM Card. I need to go to Nandidurga office. Accordingly I went to Nandi Durga, Bangalore airtel center. There they told they don't have SIM card and it will come after 3days and gave me a no. to call. I called after 3days, nobody picked for 5times. Then to my luck, somebody picked up. I asked why they don't pick up the call, they told they are busy and pick up only when free. I asked about SIM card. They told they don't have and don't know when it will come. After 10days, I am still following up. Nobody is picking up the call and I have to pay for the postpaid rental.
