I filled up the form for new postpaid connection on airtel's website on Jan 20, 2016. All the formalities (photo id proof, reference of local resident etc) all were completed the next day. Then I got the number booked the next day, However, the verification guy denied duty since the address details provided to him were wrong.
I tried to contact the verification department, but there are unavailable. I called the first on Saturday last week, and they are unavailable since then. Other executives have only been playing the blame game (Telling me that this issue is not under my department).
I visited the airtel outlet in Vyapar Kendra, Sushant lok, where the guy told me that my address details are wrong so my number won't be activated.
Then I called the complaint department and told the executive about the same, and he assured me that he will contact me within 20 mins with all the details. which he never did.
I called them again, and another executive assured me that my connection would start working by 29th. And as expected it didn't.
Called airtel again. Now I was asked to submit the documents again and send it to [protected]@airtelworld.in, which failed permanently.
Also I was told that security charges are INR 250 and is refundable but now they are telling me that activation charges and are not refundable. Like employees have no idea what for is the customer is being charged.
I also sent a Mail to airtel to which they did not reply.
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Spoke to Mr. Amit (Team Manager) 2 hours later, he did the same thing (Forwarded the complaint to the "concerned" department). On asking him which is the "concerned " department and when would they call back. He went blank and kept repeating this- "I can only forward your complaint, rest is upto the concerned department."
