I had a very bad experience from akbar travels.com. I booked a single roundtrip international flight ticket (Cochin to palm beach, florida, usa) through akbartravels.com. I paid one lakh twenty three thousand fifty eight rupees. Unfortunately i had to cancel the ticket for family emergency during the kerala flooding. They charged a cancellation penalty for rupees 17166. When i called the customer service they said the airline company (Etihad airways) took the cancellation fees from us. I called the etihad and asked the details of my cancellation with the airline ref. No. Etihad customer care said the cancellation fee is only $100. And remaining balance they had already refunded to akbar travels.com. That means etihad only took 7000 ruppees. Balance 10000 rupees akbar travels robbed from my account... Kindly advise me what i have to do getting my money back...?

    I've booked tickets via skyscanner and received akbar travel booking tivket.

    I wanted to postpone my international flight but seems like after waiting for 15-20 mins over the call a stupid lady answered saying they don;'t have authority to share the cancellation charges or postpone charges over the call and the rudest of all i've ever heard. I've asked her to transfer my call to supervisor and she said she will not come may what and had put my call on mute for several minutes harassing me.

    Not received any revert yet. They are fraud.

      My jet airways flight was cancelled in april and the same was informed by akbar travels.

      On enquiring again and again through mail., they have said that they are still processing it.

      This has been going on for past 3 months and now they are not replying to my mail.

      Where my refund is pending, and till when it will be received?

        Online e ticket booking (Trip id[protected] without confirmed ticket they deduct cash and till one 7 days didnt refund i contact customer support team they saying with in 4 days it will credit to your account till not.         Due to seat sold out booking was reverted back and same was intimated to customer through email. Passenger mentioned wrong email id as a result of which mail delivery go failure. However refund has already been credited within the stipulated time period.

          Dear sir/madam
          I wish to inform you the business of deceit and treachery which was carried out by akbar travels with me to start with
          I had booked two tickets of malindo airline scheduled to depart from mumbai to singapore via kulalampur for 26th july 2019
          And due to certain domestic and health issue i had to postpone this travel to the month of september and hence i called my travel agent akbar travels who had booked these tickets for me and i was advised by their customer care to email them with the details for the date of travel and as per customer cares advice i mailed akbar travels with the specified date change and their customer care person mr ubaid ansari responded stating that the fair difference including the penalty and government taxes etc would come upto 6030rs per ticket (Original ticket cost 10, 365)
          And i mailed him back accepting this charge and paid the amount necessary to change date change for both the tickets i then received a mail with the
          Changed date however i was a bit surprised to see that baggage for both the tickets was reduced to 0 kg check in while the original tickets has 25kg each check (Screen shot in attachment) and hence i mailed and also called their customer care informing them about this situation and a follow up mail was received by mr ubaid ansari from akbar travel.com in and i was shocked to known that he had mentioned excess baggage charge to be 15880 rs for 25kg and when i called their customer care to protest of such a high charge
          Ms trupti from the customer care told me that the charge has already been mentioned by akbar travel and to this i refuted by saying that they have only mentioned that ' any baggage change or food ordered charges will be applicable' but no where in my conversation with mr ubaid ansari has mentioned this high charge he had only send me a amount of 6030 as seen from the content of this email below.
          Date change penalty : inr 1500

          Fare difference : inr 2400 (As of now)

          Tax difference : inr 1260

          Gst : inr 270

          Service fee : inr 600

          *

          Total : inr 6030/- (As of now) per person

          To be paid with break up of all the charges mentioned and here i strongly feel that, if my service was under rescheduling of ticket and if akbatravel.com had changed my baggage from 25kg to 0 kg it was their duty to mention this charge in the final payment charge given to me to amend the necessary changes but instead of that akbartravel send me a iternaty with 0 kg baggage after the advised payment by them was done by me and then send me a exceptionally high additional baggage charge. I feel this is injustice and purposefully misguiding of customer for monetary gains had
          Akbar travel.com mentioned this very high additional baggage charge i would have also thought about cancelling the ticket because other airlines offer ticket at a very economical rate with minimum 15kg or 20kg baggage which is a basic luggage for any international flight. I feel that i was tricked by akbar travels by giving incomplete information and when i called their customer care to protest i was simply told that this is already mentioned by them i have proof of all the mails and i believe that
          Through this portal and through the course of law justice shall be served.

            I booked an international Flight from Akbar Travels webpage. It states that Name has to be as per Passport, but at the same time, it makes Last name Mnadatory. I just have my first name in my Passport so I was trying to book the flight with my first name only. But the Booking page of Akbar Travels was not allowing me to proceed and was throwing a Pop Up that last name is mandatory so reluctantly I entered my Last name to complete booking. In a couple of days I worried that I should not face any issue at the time of boarding hence, I highlighted this to Akbar Travel's Customer care. Since, Then every time I try and speak to customer care, they give me all kinds of reasons and try to prove that I am only at fault and they are all compliant. I should have called customer care or live Chat immediately. My question is being an OTA is it not their responsibility that they make an informative page. Are they not aware that People may not have Surname in Passport. Then why they make Last name mandatory on their booking page.The error I made was forced by Akbar Travels. And now they are washing their hands. They want me to cancel the ticket or pay airline Name correction charges. Is Akbar travel not at fault over here. Why should I bear the penalty for an error on OTA's side. And it is just not that behaviour of Akbar's Customer team is extremely pathetic, rude and unprofessional,

            I want to report this unethical behaviour as Akbar Travel's team will never resolve it on their own.

            Akbar travels has updated my itenerary and I have got the updated ticket. Not sure how they agreed but today I got a call that they are resolving the issue and not charging me anything. And thankfully this time the person calling was supportive and polite.

              My payment was deducted but I was not provided with a ticket. Then I got a mail requesting for more money. That also I paid but still did not get the ticket. I have mails and transaction details with me. Your customer care does not take calls, is rude and not well behaved.
              I first paid my money online. Then I paid more money. But I never recd a ticket for my travel. Now all my plans are in the drain and these people are not even taking my calls.

                We booked goair flight ticket through akbartravels.com booking id at[protected]. Airline cancelled the flight and refunded to akbar but akbar is not refunding me. They keep giving false written assurances but when you ask them for utr number they ignore you. We have been following up for a month but to no avail. Finally we have decided to approach the authorities.

                  I am travelling tomorrow for cambodia from mumbai. My whole trip including flight ticket, hotel stay and itinerary was planned by akhbar travel. Andheri east.
                  For return this agent booked my ticket from siem reap whereas i ll be at phnom penh in cambodia in the end of my trip which he has realised today. So now at end moment he has changed itinerary and forcing me to travel a day before my scheduled plan for 7 hours by road to siem reap from phnom penh for return to india because he didn’t pay attention while booking air ticket & coordinating our trip which i have been in touch with him since 1 month. He booked my return flight from siem reap a month back. Whole time he didn’t pay attention to what he was providing. On the last day now he is telling me that i have to travel a day before the decided itinerary that too for 7 hours just to reach the destination with airport. While there is a an airport in phnom penh also. Unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. My trip experience is already ruined. Strict action must be taken.

                    I have made booking - AT[protected]. In this the ticket with incorrect date was issued to me due to issues in their website. Immediately i called them to check it and it was decided to cancel the tickets. Later i discussed this issue directly with airlines and see if refund is being done.

                    The airline confirmed me that within 24hr, the bookings can be cancelled free of cost and later i was also told that full refund has been given to akbartravels.

                    The Akbar travels did not paid me the full amount and instead deducted Rs2800. After numerous requests over phone & email, no action has been done by them to refund this amount, instead they are trying to convince me that these charges are appropriate.

                    Please check and refund me the balance amount of Rs2800, else i have to take a legal action against your company.

                    After ticket issuance there is cancellation charges is applicable as per Etihad Airline policy which will be Rs[protected] approx but instead of charging cancellation charge, we have charge per passenger Rs 1000/- only and remaining amount has been credited in passenger account.

                        I booked my Mothers and sons tickets from Kolkata to Chennai on 30th March 2019 to travel on 31st May 2019 via Vistara Airline Flight no 732. On 29th May 2019 I received an email from Akbar Travels stating that the flight has been cancelled and that I need to contact the Airline for further clarification. Only an email was sent which of course wasn't checked by me on the same day. Accidentally checked it on 30th evening and got the shock of my life on seeing the cancellation email. Never did I imagine that I would need to go through this on the last minute. I am glad that for some reason I felt the need to check the ticket otherwise my son and mother would be at the airport at the stipulated time to get embarrassed and tensed. So as per email I called Vistara who then informed me after multiple holds that this flight had been cancelled by them on 11th April 2019 however even they did not inform us of any such thing via email or sms or call. Airlines clearly stated that they did not have any of our contact details on their system to intimate us whereas they were able to complete my phone number over the call before me. Had I known of the cancellation I would have definitely made other arrangements. Wrote an email to Akbar Travels immediately and was informed that in a weird way that it was neither their fault. Also that refund had been initiated on 31st May 2019 which was credited into the account on 3rd June 2019 of Rs 5512 instead of Rs 5712. You guys have deducted the convenience amount from us after cancelling the flight on your end. There is grave negligence on the travels end. Also because of this not only did I have major stress of booking alternative tickets. I had to end up spending Rs 15000 for their travel and had to pick them up from Bangalore. This was a major nuisance for all o[censored]s and major loss. DO YOU THINK THAT THIS IS THE WAY AIRLINES NEED TO MAKE MONEY AND YOU TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE.

                          Tickets were booked through akbar travels online, and jet airways is no more in operational. Tickets were cancelled with both jet airways and akbar travels. Seats for booked for 8th april and cancelled on the 5th april, 2019. Whenver i send e-mail akbar travels do not give positive response they are asking us to write to jet airways and the want written confirmations from jet airways to process the refund, what the hell this is... Every time they send me note that akbar travel is processing refund through iata, i received such emails at least 4 within this period. I spoke to jet airways as per them they have already sent the refund to akbar travels, i also put them in conference but still akbar travel is holding the money. Akbar travel is requested to please release the payment as soon as possible. I was also assured that i would get payment by 15th of may and today is 16th may, they have again sent me letter that payment is under process and it will take time, how long will you take to refund.                             Kindly note that, it's almost 41 days now, still refund is awaited. Since last 2 days we are contacting the customer care number, but there is no clear reply. There standard reply is, our accounts dept will contact you... And then they sincerely don't care about the customer's grievances.
                            Hope it is getting resolved at the earliest.

                                I had booked a jet airways ticket for travelling from mum to mangalore and return.net fare was inr 6817. As jet had cancelled both to and fro flights, i initiated a refund request on 16th march itself over the call. On 26th march i initiated a online refund request again through the app. There were multiple pnrs booked under my id and all the amounts were refunded except for this one trip id at[protected]. Out of the total fare of 6817 only 3057 was refunded. I sent multiple emails to enquire why the remaining amount was not refunded but i just kept getting a response that we have refunded full amount. Today i called the customer service team and i have been given to understand that akbar travels missed raising the refund request for the return journey under this trip id. And now when you are trying to raise the request the jet airways system is down. This is complete negligence on part of akbar travels. Irrespective of so many follow ups. I was given the wrong information that full money is refunded when half the money was not even claimed from jet. I request the remaining amount to be immediately refunded to my account as this is complete breach of professional ethics to hold back the customers amount for negligence by your staff.

                                Please note till today we have not received any refund from Jet Airways for above passenger booking. We can process refund, only when we receive amount from airline.

                                If you have not got the refund / compensation within 10 days, you need to hire the lawyer or legal professional for the assitance before the court in India or outisde India,
                                depending upon documents, which are refused to produced.

                                Nobody must examine the anonymous document, the complaint without evidences,
                                the indefinite complaint.

                                Nobody must provide the service without charge.

                                Kindly introduce with the basics:-

                                A complaint should not be marked as Resolved unless a resolution is provided to customers. Merely forwarding these requests to your customer support team doesnot qualify as 'resolved'. Please stop fooling customers. the average rating provided on this page speaks volumes. i am never booking tickets from Akbar travels again. your customer support team is not responsing hence customers are posting complaints here. what is the point you forwarding it back to your incapable Customer support team

                                  Dear sir/madam,
                                  Last month 18/02/2019 we had taken visa service from akbar travels bangalore and amount for rs.14400 was charged to us to which we made payment by our credit card when we requested for gst invoice under our company we were told that it will be given after 10 days. Its almost been more than a month we have not to receive a tax invoice from mr. Chandru and whenever we give call some or the other excuse is been given.

                                  Passenger was informed on email that as per our company policy, invoice is generated in the name of traveler and not in the name of company as passenger has booked ticket from akbartravels.com website which is customer website.

                                    Dear customer care desk,
                                    I have booked my ticket from akbar travel portal with reference number "at[protected]" from nairobi to delhi and return. While putting the passenger name at akbar travel portal title is mandatory (Mr.) and then given name and surname/family name. While i got the ticket the name is showing "mr. Samir kumar pandey" which is fine.
                                    However, while checked the ticket status at ethihad site the name shows as "pandey/samirkumarmr",. When connected to yiur executive over call and mail they are saying it is as per given name. Whereas how the tital can be mixed with given name i am not getting the satisfactory response. I am afraid, it may create chaos during travel.

                                    Coordinated with passenger and explained to passenger that it is system format where title get attached with the given name. Told to passenger that there will be not problem at the airport as far as name is as per the passport.

                                    It is impossible to answer without seeing the text of the pnr / e-ticket.

                                    The common rule in civil aviation: the full name (name and surname) must match passport .

                                    As regard to gender / title / child, a passenger is entitled to claim reissue from the travel agent, if he or she can reffer to the exact private law (of India, of Kenya, o[censored]AE), governing incorrect processing of title / gender .

                                      I had given my marriage certificate and my daughter's birth certificate for Indian foreign affairs and UAE Embassy attestation to one your braches located in Kuttiadi, Kozhikode district of Kerala. When I received the certificates back, it was fully wrinkled. I am staying in UAE. It was my parents who collected the certificates from your branch. When I asked your staff to send me a scanned copy through email, your staff send me and when I checked that I found that the certificates were not handled properly. I questioned is this the way you handle the certificates through email, he replied me back it is because of my stupidity I am asking these question. He has been working here since 8 years, he says even he has handled the MBBS Certificates also in the same way. When I called him to ask is this the way you reply to a customer, he says even if you complaint about this he dont care. Your staff name is Mr. Muhammed Swalih. I would like to inform you Just because of few staffs like this your company reputation is going down. I have given several certificates for attestation to this branch and booked flight tickets many times. From now onwards I will not give any of my certificates or ticket bookings to your branches. I am also attaching the email chats we have done below for your perusal.
