Dear sir, i had booked tickets for my family trip through akbar travel on 23rd january 2020 to russia (Date of departure 1st may). Due to the pandemic i cancelled my tickets on 17th march, wherein akbar travel stated that the refund should be processed within 15 working days. Post that and after my several reminders they revert that the refund will be processed within 30 working days. Now its more than 30 days and they are not responding to any of my mail. I even marked the last trail mails to their ceo. But no response. I have checked online with the airlines wherein my ticket status shows refund processed. Please help me to recover my money as the amount is swiped on my credit card and i am paying huge taxes on the same. During this lockdown i am not getting my full salary. Please help.

    Akbar reference number at[protected] : emirates pnr :elt6ps

    This for a flight
    Bengaluru - amsterdam on 8th may, 2020,
    Rome - bengaluru 26th may, 2020

    Akbar travel is charging a total fees of inr 10394 for the cancellation including a cancellation fees of inr 8000 + gst.

    Emirates after the announcement of cancellation of operation of my flights, when contacted, was refunding the whole amount directly or through the agents as the case might be

    Thereafter i have been sending mails to akbar travels and when contacted they said will respond over mail, but the reply has not come yet.

    As per regulation other than handling charges akbar travels cannot withhold money when the airlines is doing a complete refund.

    Request, if this can be taken up with akbar travels

        There has been no response for my mails from last 2 weeks, it has been more than a month now.

        Refund of my ticket : tcaawm

        Dear,

        I didn’t receive any confirmation regarding the refund of the amount, i guess 5 days is more than enough to get back regarding the same.
        Kindly let me know by when the amount will be refunded to my account, as per the airline it was supposed to be given back within 2 weeks time and they did their part why is it taking too long from your end now it’s almost a month.
        Kindly update me on this asap.

          We booked a flight ticket from spice jet through akbar travels to travel on 4th march, got a message from airlines on 18th march that there is a delay in flight schedule so we can either cancel it or travel so we chose to cancel it and asked akbar travels for the refund. Akbar travels sent a confirmation mail that our tickets are cancelled and will procee the refund in 15 days but it’s been more than one month they have not processed refund and not even responding to mails now.

            I had done a booking through akbaar travels for kolkata to copenhagen via delhi with airindia, due to covid-19, airlines cancelled the entire journey, even lockdowned their airlines. Akbaar travel also confirmed full refund. But now have mailed them twice, they are not even bothered to reply.

            Akbar travels promised to refund full booking amount within 15 working days. Now its almost a month did not get the refund nor they are replying to my continous email.
            The travel was cancelled by airindia itself.

                Dear sir,

                I have taken a ticket through the online booking site of akbar travels with ref no: at[protected].

                My departure was to be on 26th march 2020, unfortunately the lockdown due to novel corona virus started from 22nd march 2020 onwards, so we were not able to make our trip as the flights where stopped from going. The ticket i took was of air india, and an official letter was also issued by them on 13 march 2020, stating on the cancellation of flights by them.

                Now the akbar travels is offering me an unlawful offer on accepting -

                A free date change till september 2020 (At this present situation we cannot think about a travel)

                Or

                A refund after deducting cancellation charge of rs. 6200/- per passenger (My ticket is for 3 adults and 1 infant), which is unlawful.

                And now they are saying to contact the airline company, as its an online ticket taken through the agents website, they will only ask to have a talk with your concerned which is clearly mentioned on there website faq.

                My question is, flights itself where stopped by the government, then why is an agent taking a cancellation charge?

                I kindly request your goodselves to please help me to refund back the ticket charges lawfully. And the situation is, a complete lockdown nation wide, there is no mistake on my part.

                Passenger has booked ticket in Air India. As per airline policy if flight is cancelled due to COVID-19 then in such case passenger can either take refund by bearing cancellation charge as per his ticket fare rule or can make date change in which fare difference and tax difference will be applicable, only date change penalty will be waived off.

                The policy which we have received from airline, same has been sent to the passenger.

                Recvd ur reply mail from Akbar Travels.

                As per there mail, in actual they have not send any policy from Air India, the only thing they hav send is a link, in which the tab of Air India dont give any word on deducting the cancellation charges, the only thing they are pointing is on a Free date change. 

                Regarding free date change, we are not in a situation to travel, the present situation has brought a big economic crisis in the family. We dont know how long will it take to be back to normal. So we are not planning for any travel on the coming days.

                Kindly ask Akbar Travels to send a policy copy by Air India stating the deduction of Cancellation charges from the passenger at this present situation of Novel Corona virus outbreak.

                  Seeking for refund of full amount / reissue of ticket against ticket cancelled by akbar travels

                  This has reference to my booking with akbar travels, at[protected], booking date 05 feb 2020, travel details as given under:

                  Indigo flight depart 21 mar, delhi-goa, pnr djecsw, 04 passengers

                  Air asia flight depart 25 mar, goa-delhi, pnr - e4fqyd, 04 passengers

                  Due to ongoing corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak, i did put a request for modification of trip on 08 mar 2020 but that request was not completed and remained pending till 17 mar 2020.

                  On 17 mar 2020, the flight carriers gave option of modifying / changing the travel dates at no penalty charge as one time measure and i availed the same by changing the existing dates with the new travel dates 23 to 27 sep 2020 (Confirmation mails received from indigo and air asia received on mail on 17 mar 2020).

                  I was quite relaxed that the tickets have been changed directly through flight carriers and now there is no need to approach akbar travels for same.

                  But, all of sudden to my surprise, this afternoon (20 mar 2020), akbar travels has cancelled my both ticket at their own without any reason and informing me, also imposed full cancellation charges on me. That’s the most annoying unpleasant and irresponsiblr way of working by akbar travels.

                  Due to akbar travels error / mistake, my ticket got cancelled, i am unable to travel on my new dates and have been put in loss of rs.40, 000/- for no reason. For sure, i am not going to bear this loss due to mistake of akbar travels who didn’t notice that pnr is already changed / modified by flight carriers to new dates at free of cost.

                  This act of akbar travels has put us in big trouble. We are already getting suffered in travel plans due to corona issue in country. The airlines like indigo and air asia has taken such a positive move for passengers by providing date change option, that is highly commendable. On the other hand akbar travels is cancelling passengers ticket without prior notice and knowledge of passengers and troubling them financially and mentally.

                  Now, i am seeking a strong action on this issue and want full refund against this cancellation or provide me new booking at no cost for 23 to 27 sep 2020, the ticket which was altered by airlines already and sent to me on 17 mar 2020.

                  I am enclosing the copy of modified tickets sent by indigo and air asia without any charge due to coronavirus outbreak.

                    reschedule of air tickets

                    Since many days we are trying to reschedule flights, we are not successful for all tickets we purchased from akbartravels.com for bangalore to ahmedabad on 24 march 2020 and return on 29 march.

                    After prolonging persuaation, one ticket (Bangalore to ahmedabad) vide ref at[protected], got rescheduled but with excess charges. Airlines ticket difference is ok, but agent charges not acceptable.

                    I have mailed akbar travels regarding cancellation of flights to bali via malaysian airlines due to outbreak of coronovirus, but there seems no reply or updates from the company.

                    Its been almost a week, we mailed the agency multiple times. We also tried to contact them but in vain. Its very rude of them, that amidst this situation they are not replying as per the norms.

                      Terrible customer service - very rude operators
                      Inefficient operators on the phone, they do not keep records of any past transactions, they are very rude to callers, do not recommend using their services!!!
                      They have absolutely no knowledge of what they are doing, and phone operators have no manners whatsoever. Really would not book anything through them simply because of their useless customer service!!

                        I tried booking through flight from Pune to Delhi from Akbar travels, but I received failed booking SMS along with no confirmation email for booking.
                        Also the next SMS received had no PNR number.
                        This made me believe that the booking has failed as per no confirmation Email and Failed Booking SMS sent to me. So I made my flight bookings with makemytrip.

                        After discussing the matter with heated discussion with Akbar Travels customer representative, they agreed to refund the amount, but there is no communication till now for refund.
                        When I call them again, they say that the booking is confirmed and I have not received any confirmation email for the booking yet but an SMS with no PNR number. I do not want this booking now which is booked as per your records with no intimation/confirmation to me as I have already done another booking and please refund my booking amount asap.

                        Passenger had tried to book Mumbai-Delhi flight and not Pune-Delhi on 11 Dec'19.

                        Ticket was confirm and mail was also sent on passenger registered mail id but due to mail delivery failure on passenger side and as a goodwill gesture booking amount was reverted back from our end.

                        Same thing was conveyed to passenger through mail as well as on call that we are reverting the entire amount as the passenger does not want the booking. The same will reflect in his account statement depending upon your bank policy. We’ve noticed that it takes about 3 to 7 working days for most refunds to hit their respective accounts excluding Sat/Sun & Bank Holidays.

                          Two jetairways tickets from delhi to munich & return, (Onward on 14-05-19 and return on 13-06-19 were booked through akbartravels ref. : at[protected] and jetairways ticket no:[protected],[protected].

                          Due to jet airways operational problem the tickets were cancelled by jet their own. Now the cancelled ticket refund is pending even multiple reminder have given to jet. All related information have been given to jet airways and akbartravels please expedite the refund of cancelled ticket amount in my account.

                          I booked a ticket for 22nd january and i recieved a ticket of 21st january . I would like to know how that happened and would like to change the ticket back to 22nd. Please tell me how I can change it, and if not then how shall i cancel my current tickets and what is the refund procedure.
                          My round trip flight was cancelled from kuwait airwaYs and I tried multiple times to reach out to them but no response. I wanted confirmation whether I will be getting full refund since its cancellation from airline side.

                            Without seeking any confirmation from my side. They had cancelled my ticket.
                            I called them about confirming the cancel charges though i was on mail they had cancelled my ticket without seeking any confirmation charges from my side.

                              This has been long pending with you. You didn't reply any thing about refund of money what i have to do while getting right date ticket.

                              We booked ticket for 28th jan 2019 from delhi to muscat.

                              After reaching airport at boarding counter there is no booking for sadhana on 28 th jan. Later on he found that it booked wrongly

                              For travel in march month.

                              My wife cancelled and purchased ticket there at airport by paying inr 2850.

                              Please look into it or send it to higher authority for addressal.

                              Sorry to tell you that your complaint cell (My support) does not have any courtesy to reply the mail. Several reminders were sent but no reply.

                                I have done the booking at 5 nov these guys scammed us they charge a bit more we have paid also that cause of these scam company we missed our event after paying money these guys not done booking still our refund is not initiated. I need my refund i don't understand why our government support these scammers cheaters.

                                I called bank too bank said sir if really company refund to you always its comes directly to your account. Bank said we never do scam.

                                  Hi Team,

                                  I have booked prepaid taxi from Mumbai airport terminal 1 by Akbar travels & holidays by paying 2000 INR with my sbi CC ENDING 6619 .

                                  Hence price was double than normal charges, I have requested to cancel the booking.

                                  For the cancelation of prepaid service (Akbar travel charge me 200 INR) and promise me to return my 2000 INR which I paid by card . Since 8 days I have not received my return money in my SBI card 6619.

                                  My question you charge me 200 INR for cancellation but refund prepaid amount why not paid ???

                                    This is a fraud company.
                                    I had booked 2 jet airways tickets and the flight got cancelled, these people have still not send me a refund and it’s been 6 months i am continuously following up, they have stopped replying to my emails, if you go on the jet airways website they will ask you to contact the third party vendor but it seems that these people have eaten the entire amount and kept everyone o[censored]s in dark.

                                    Please note the refund of the Jet Airways ticket is disbursed to the passenger as and when the same is received by the airline. Once received the refund will be given to the passengers account directly.

                                      non refund of money for failed air ticket booking

                                      I was booking air travel ticket from bagdogra to delhi for my wife's travel. The booking was being done on 19 oct 2019. After completing the booking a message appeared on their website that the booking has not yet been confirmed because these are special fares and it takes half an hour to confirm the booking. (Screen shot of the message attached).
                                      Thereafter i got an email from them that the booking has failed and they have started...
