Needed to get a ticket and thought i had contacted delta airlines because on the internet this travel agency is listed under delta airlines. When the phone was answered no one identified themselves as a travel agency and when i asked is this delta airlines i was told yes how can i help you. I told them i wanted to use sky miles to purchase a ticket for my son. I was told no problem delta airlines charges $125 when you use sky miles to purchase a ticket for someone else. Not a travel agency but delta airlines charges for the ticket. I gave them my information and they gave me the ticket information. Then i was sent an invoice from simba ho, inc a different company than even akbar travels. Worried i gave my information to someone who was scamming people i called delta airlines the next day. They told me there is never a charge when purchasing a ticket with sky miles no matter who you buy it for. Then i got an invoice cancellation for the $125 from simba ho inc. Surprise surprise when i got a charge on my account from akabar travels for $125. They were scamming people!!! Well this 70 year old # learned a very expensive lesson. If the company uses different names, lies about who they are, does not identify themselves as a travel agency, and then lies about the cost of a ticket they are not a reputable company and i would advise you to learn from my mistake. Use caution when doing business with this company or better yet choose a more reputable company to do business with. This transaction took place on june 2, 2018 in the evening. The invoice number for simba ho co is #0236. Resolution for me would be the cancellation on my american express card for the $125 charge. Had i known i was dealing with a travel agency i would have hung up. I saved a copy of both email invoices and would be glad to forward them to an email address of your choice.

Miss Bhavya Jain has book our package to Spain and due to visa cancellation our packages was cancelled we had already paid 100000 rupees to them and they now are denying to refund us money and not giving us proper reply.we are now going Legally against them and specially Bhavya Jain

    This is with reference to an air ticket booked via the akbar travels mobile phone app... Details for reference.

    Background:-

    Date of booking:- 16-may-18, ist 16:58
    Flight details -
    Inr charged: 6696/-
    Inr charged: 6696/-

    Events so far:-
    While there was an additional debit of inr 6696/- on 16-may-18 (Which happens normally). Sharing series of events for ref & immediate action

    1.1.16-may-18: verbal conversation with icici bank - 7 days tat for refund communicated by the agent.
    2.2.24- may-18: another call at icici contact center (After the tat completion), escalation handled by krishna (Supervisor), confirmed closure by 30-may
    3.3.25-may-18: written communication to icici to seek refund/appropriate response.
    4.4.29-may-18: icici banks response to finally talk to akbar travels.

    Request information & a written response on :-
    1. 1. The bank’s initial confirmation/commitment on the resolution & refund of inr 6696 & then later an email response to talk to the biller/akbar travels - why would this be
    2. 2. Inr 6696/- is huge amount and cannot be pardonable in lieu of an elderly/unwell mother at home.
    3. 3. A 15 days delay & the refund is yet to be processed. What timelines have we looked at & why the delay?
    4. 4. Why would the bank commit resolution at the 1st go & then later ask the customer to speak to the biller/akbar travels
    5. 5. Akbar travels - you are marked/addressed in this communication & seek immediate response on the bank’s email reply.
    6. 6. Between both the entities, we have inr 6696 on hold as a refund with no sensitivity of a customer’s money & financial need.

    Expecting an immediate response & action…please help oblige & close this concern.

    6996/- is a huge sum for a middle class/single breadwinner of the family - isn’t this sensitive enough for us to even take a much quicker action?

    (The bank now says to speak to you’ll for refund - pfa2 the correspondence)

    Between icici bank & akbar travels - may we please know/justify the continued delay of 15+ days?

    Dear,

    This case is related to REF no - AT[protected]

    As per the above query raised by the passenger ticket was cancelled as per the approval received from the passenger but due to payment gateway error automated refund was not possible so we have asked passenger to provide us bank account details so that we can process manual refund in his account.
    We have received his account details but there is a missing document which we require from his side so that we can process refund from our end but till now we have not received blank cheque image or passbook image due to which refund is still pending.

    However we are in conversation with passenger in order to get the pending documents.

    The same Repeatition.
    No pointwise replies. This is unethical and amounts to cheating/no response to the crux of the issue
    1. Akbar Travels was duly informer the same day o[censored]navailibility of a pass book and that Ranjeet from their team shall consider the Mini Bank Statement, shared as of Yday- 8-Jun around 1230pm via email. (We'll share a copy of the mail here too)

    2. There was no ask/request for cancellation of any tickets pls. The money debited was twice (does happen in some scenarios) Lets not blaim a customer and claim cancellation. There wasnt any such request pls.

    It is highly unethical of an organisation like AkbarTravels to present absolute misfacts and claim otherwise.

    Please look in to this immediately and process a month pending refund of 6696/-

    3. For a middle class and the only earner in the family, a sum of 6696)- blocked for almost a month is huge pain/inconvenience & therefore an inability to meet daily/monthly expenses which has been short of 6686/- this month. Please note, it is again with extreme efforts(borrowing) that such tickets are booked well in advance- 3 months to be precise. And extra amount of debit has caused financial difficulties.

    4. Akbar Travels has nowhere mentioned/explained/clarified/justified the delay of a month in "a refund"
    It was only yday, 8-Jun, vide a call from [protected] there was an ask of a cancelled cheque, to which we enquired if a mini statement would do, and was readily agreed by Ranjeet & also provided the same day.

    Requesting Akbar Travels to now share a point wise reply to the above please...

      Akbar travels - palakkad branch
      Staff name - santhosh

      We had a very poor customer service from above mentioned staff while going through the uk visa application form.
      He treated us very badly, made us wait 3 hours once and he sent us back numerous occasions by saying some silly excuses.
      One occasion he told me to “shut up “ when i try to ask him while he was talking to other customers.
      His behaviour was very shocking and it damaged your company’s reputation.
      I only mentioned some of my bad experience here.
      I would like you to come back to me with what action you have taken etc
      I can provide more information if wish.

        during second week of March 18i had travelled to and stayed in bangalore for two days. I had made the booking through Thrissur Branch Kerala. i was provided the accommodation by east fort branch thrissur.
        i was asked to Pay an amount of 16000 for two days. and I did. When i reached the hotel Bangaloe gate in Sheshadri nagar i wa surprised by the cheap look and facilities.
        i enquired and came to know that the two day stay with food is going to cost only 8000.
        I had arranged pick up and drop also. Even if i include that also it is very evident that I was made to pay a much higher amount unnecessarily. When I ask for split up details of my payment the thrissur branch is refusing to do so, Never communicating back Its been two months now and I am not given any information. So it is evidentthat someone is playing in between.
        Akbar is supposed to be a reputed firm. these acts of cheating customers doesnt suit your standards At least have the courtesy to convince customers, communicate things.
        Its a shame.
        Please respond if you are serious about these feedbacks.

          We had booked a ticket, on realising there was a mistake i immediately called the agency asking them to make the changes. I was informed that only the airline that is air india can do the change. I spoke to the airline, they informed me that sine the agency had booked the ticket it was all in their right to make the changes and adjust the charges. Now starts the merry go round. After being shunted a number of time between the airline and akbar travels, finally akbar travel says that they can change the date but not the sector, but cannot refund the amount.
          Now comes the golden response from akbar travel, the cost to change the date is higher than the value of the original ticket. Wow what a policy.

          Akbar travel has a pathetic customer service view, all they look at is how to fleece customers. The airline clearly told me that since the ticket is booked from akbar travel they have all the rights to make the changes and handle / waiver the charges.

          The airline were further assuring stating if the ticket was booked wiht them they could have given a resolution

          How unprofessional of akbar travel, no values and care for the customer. Still working with them to get a resolutions, but this experience has left a very bad takes, in how they value customers and when you really need them to help they look at opportunities to fleece you more and really aim at ripping you off.

          Passenger have send us mail for reissue charges for his domestic flight booking.We have quoted the charges as per the airline rescheduling policy.However the passenger finds the charges too high and wants us to waive off the entire reissue charges from our end which is not possible as charges are decided by the airline and which has to be paid if passenger wishes to proceed with reissue.

            We applied for a visit visa for my mother through akbar travels kanhangad (Kasaragod, kerala) branch. And the application is rejected by some typing error. Nobody inform us about this. We are calling them 5 or 8 times per day and nobody giving us a correct answer. And the manager also not ready to pick the call. I never see such an irresponsible satffs in anywhere. I will never come to any o[censored]r brqnch for any services... I am too much fed up with the kanhangad branch itself.

              Week offers are for fake. There was a offer called thursday savings were i[censored] will get 15% above discounts if the tickets we purchased value is above a lakh. I booked flight tickets for boston. After all the thursday offers i made the payment. After i made the payment my ticket got cancelled. When enquirer they were harsh. As the ticket price was hiked by the airlines, they couldn’t do anything so i have to pay extra amount if not they will cancel the ticket. I thought they were genuine. After an hour when i check the same, the price wasn’t hiked by the airlines. When enquired the same, they said the price could have have changed. Total fraud.

              In regards to above query raised, Please note online fare are dynamic in nature and keeps on fluctuating as it is directly linked with airline inventory.

              In such case our fares will change if there is any fare hike from airline side.

              If passenger makes a booking on our web site and fare is hiked then in such case we call passenger and coordinate with passenger and help them to make fare hike payment and if passenger denies to pay fare hike and ask for reversal of amount we cancel the booking and revert full amount to passenger account.

                Dear sir,
                I have booked two tickets (Booking reference number at[protected]
                On 22nd january 2017 from kolkata to bengaluru from jet airways through akbar travels.
                Now, i want to change the date to 9th february 2018 from 22nd january 2018. I have mailed akbar travels. They replied rescheduling cannot be done. So, i want to cancel the tickets they replied me that they will refund rs90 per person.
                I have booked the ticket at rs.6023/-, they will refund rs.180/ only. Cancellation charge is rs.5843/.
                Why they are charging so high amount for cancellation?

                As per the above query raised for Akbar Travels booking references number AT[protected] we had replied to passenger on mail saying that as per his ticket fare rule, ticket is almost non refundable in case of cancellation as complete amount is forfeited by the airlines if ticket is cancelled and after deducting Akbar Travels service fee of INR 300/- per person, refundable amount will be INR 90/- per person and we have not received any reply from the passenger on our mail.

                    Hi,

                    I booked a ticket from banglore to delhi for 1st of january 2018 in the month of november 2017. Ticket no. Is[protected].

                    I cancelled this ticket on 28th december. I cancelled the ticket through their mobile application. The refund amount shown to me was rs. 1500.

                    However after a week or so when i did not receive the refund i checked with akbar travels. They said a refund of amount rs. 826 has been done. However i have received as of yet.

                    Also when i cancelled the ticket, i relied only on the mobile application showing the refund amount. There were no notification from akbar travels either via sms or mail about the cancellation and refund amount.

                    As per above query raised for less refund credited, we have investigated from our end and we have found that prior to cancellation we have send mail of cancellation charges and as per that passenger has sent us cancellation request and as per that we have cancelled the booking and processed the refund.

                      I booked taxi from akbar taxi as soon as i came out from the airport on friday 22 december 2017, they charged me 1400 rs for non ac car, from t2 to fort, i was told if i want a car with ac i should pay 1500rs, i have checked the prices online before i came to india and it was between 500 to 700, on my return today i paid for a taxi booked through my hotel for just 600rs, they are a total cheat, as soon as they see you from abroad they increase the prices.

                        I have booked air asia ticket through akbartravels.com.
                        Ticket details:
                        3rd Dec'17 : bangkok to Phuket.
                        They have mentioned that 15 kgs of baggage can be carried but after booking they are saying that no check in baggage are allowed. I am attaching the screenshot where they have mentioned 15 kgs of baggage.

                          Total fraud cheater travel agency do not book any tickets from akbar travels.com

                          I booked the air on tickets akbar travels due to change in the schedule of the airlines my ticket has been cancelled and i asked for the refund from vistara airlines and they intiated total refund amount to the my travel agency.
                          But akbar travels is saying they did not receive any email about refund and they do not is reply on emails and their not refunding my amount. These people are making money by cheating the customers so we all have to book a case against these travel agency has a cyber crime and please drop me a emails that we can make a team and sue this people.                             Do not book on this fraud website. Do. Not even think to click on this website. They are total frauds.
                            I was booking a flight ticket and the transaction failed and the money got deducted from my mpesa wallet. Its been one week and i haven't got my money back. The customer care doesn't even know how to talk to their customers. They said, 'we have already refunded your amount.'
                            I suggest everyone to book flight tickets directly by visiting the airline website.

                              We paid for an airport cab at mumbai int airport on 16/11/17 to go to the fabhotel ascot international hotel which is 1.4kms away from the airport... That’s 1.4 kms away from the airport.

                              We were charged 1000 rupees... That’s one thousand rupees to travel 1.4 kms 😡😡

                              We were originally told it would be 1200 rupees for an air condition cab which we refused.

                              What a load of robbing bas*ards!

                              My experience of people on our 25 day trip has been high until now.

                              I enquired for Philippines visa to an Akbar online executive he said he'll mail the details @ around 7pm.
                              Still I haven't got the information.

                              I'm highly disappointed with this and I'm not interested to use Akbar hereafter and will publish this in social media and will withdraw my fellow people too.

                                29th sept'17 i had booked a flight from mumbai to nagpur via indore by mistake instead of direct flight to nagpur. Under indigo airlines policy if you cancel the booking within 1 hour, full refund is issued. Indigo has issued the full refund but akbar travels refuses to issue me the full refund and has given a partial refund of rs2032 (Ticket cost rs 5370). Despite multiple calls and even a phone call with indigo executive, the agency is refusing to pay the remaining amount saying that the airlines has charged it as cancellation fees. Some of the female customer care agents are really rude and do not respond to the matter.

                                  I have booked a morning flight on srilankan airways ul 165 from cmb to cok, through akbar travels, cross checking the itinary found that i was issued with the evening flight.
                                  Raised the complained and they have send me option to change with penalty.
                                  Why am i charged with penalty when the mistake is from the travels. I was happy that they have discounted the service charge on credit card (Rs300) but this was a day light robbery

                                    My uncle mr. Rameshbhai patel he is senior citizen he want only refundable ticket we bought etihad ticket through akbar. Even we are getting cheaper flight in air india but ticket is non refundable so we booked etihad because ticket are refundable.

                                    I bought this ticket because its showing refundable even i got e - ticket where clearly mention ticket are refundable. You can check e - ticket below.

                                    Even if you are doing new booking again it showing this fare is refundable now you guys are claiming ticket are non refundable

                                    This is not my fault due to you airline issue why should i suffer for that.

                                    I want my money back.

                                      I have done a booking on 26th july for a flight from mumbai to cochin for date 18th oct for 2 pax and return cochin to mumbai on 22nd oct for 2 pax.

                                      Payment was made for onward journey through mpesa wallet and through credit card for return journey. Same was debited and i have recd a confirmation sms. When i am checking on the akbar travel website now, the tickets are not issued. The customer care does not have any idea about my payment details. I have already shared them the screen shots of both the transactions and the debits from my account but their response is they are least interested in solving the issue.

                                      I need my tickets to be issued asap.

                                      In regards to above raised query, both the ticket copy has been sent to passenger on his registered mail id and also had call conversation with passenger to resolve his query. Passenger has two different mail id due to which ticket delivered to different mail addresses.

                                        I had booked a flight ticket from chennai to abu dhabi for travel on 26/8/2017 with ticket number[protected]. As per etihad airways the jet airways passengers are entitled for free coach service from abu dhabi to dubai. Akbar travels staff chetan initially said there is no coach service between abu dhabi and dubai and then he said coach service is there and no additions can be done. Later after a long conversation he said that the coach service can be done but with a different itinerary. This person has no proper knowledge about the services provided by jet airways. This person does not know to handle a customer. He kept on providing wrong information. After some time another person named sarfraz joined the conversation and he also started saying that itinerary change has to be done as coach service cannot be provided with the existing pnr. When checked online the ticket which i had booked provided coach service from abu dhabi to dubai. When informed them about this he said that coach service can be added in existing ticket upon charge being paid and the charge they said was rs.6000/- which was really funny.

                                        Akbar travels had poor customer support, staffs not aware of the various services provided by airlines. They keep on irritating the services by providing wrong information.
