I had purchased iPhone12 (INR 60, 900) from Amazon India (sold by Rocket Kommerce LLP, Maharashtra) on 30th April 2022 and received it on 2nd May 2022. As soon I open the package and try using, it didn’t start which seems odd and looks defective.
Incident Report: Raised concern to Amazon India support same day I.e 2nd May 2022 and requested to return product immediately (Met- return policy condition from Amazon, within said timeframe of 10 days of receiving product)
Never ending support loop: 5th May 2022- Received mail revert from Amazon support to get defect report and denial letter from the manufacturer I.e Apple. 5th May 2022- Received interim technical report from Apple Service centre (iCare, authorised service centre) saying product is not working, IMEI mismatch, indicating towards fraud. And same report has been submitted to Amazon support team. 15th May 2022 - Amazon team again came back asking for defect report and denial letter13 May 2022- Received detailed defect report from Apple iCare( not to mention that was also not an easy task it took multiple visit and multiple long calls to Apple service centre), which specifies this a faulty product, never being used, and wrong IMEI number. There is no way it can be fixed, they need to replace the whole product in order to get fix. Plus they declined to give denial letter, as they have not agreed to terms & condition mentioned by Amazon on their website.
Since from 13 May till today 31 May 2022- I am knocking every Amazon support door, interacted almost 25 Amazon support associates and yet waiting for their resolution. In every 2 days a new person approach me asking same documents (denial letter, Pslip, invoice, and box pic) which I have furnished at least 20 times but still.., and then they ask me to wait for another 2-4 working days.
Complaint: Would like to raise complaint against- A. Amazon India, for: 1. Unethical business practices 2. Not meeting necessary e-commerce service provider obligations. 3. Despite of getting informed about vendor fraud, Amazon have neither taken any action nor provided any satisfactory resolution, which indicates they are equally responsible in this fraud4. Mine mental and physical harassment, I have gone huge stress during this time while dealing with Amazon support teams and not having any meaningful conversation or resolution.
B. Rocket Kommerce LLP, for:1. Doing fraud and sending wrong IMEI product which turn out to be defective.
Amazon India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
