Recently, I have purchased an order for Rs.2000 from Amazon and used few coupons (found them on twitter) to get a cashback of Rs.1600 on that order. The order was shipped and I got the cashback as well. All of a sudden, Amazon cancelled my order stating there was some technical glitch. I was okay and the situation was fine till here.
Now, when I asked for refund, they have refunded just Rs.400 to my account instead of entire 2000. When I asked their customer care service, they are saying they can't reverse the entire amount to my bank account. The cashback which was added to my account cannot be transferred to my account is what they are saying.
First of all, they are the one who cancelled the order. Now, they are rejecting to refund my money to my account. This entire scenario looks like a big fraud just to make us add amazon pay balance.
I need someone to take action on this. They have wasted almost 2 hours of my time over the call. This should be taken seriously and they should compensate even for the time we have wasted on placing the order and speaking with their customer service.
Amazon India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
